Despite there are still chapters left for me to read, I can't help but write a review in hopes for the author to see it. Even if he/she doesn't, I hope that I could help someone make a decision from either start reading this fanfiction or not. So, here we go. Please bear in mind that the second paragraph can be very rude. Paragraphs after it is my overall review, so you can skip the second one if you want.
First and foremost, I will start with the one thing I hate (almost to the point of me being abhorrent of it, not joking)... The Fucking anime 'references,' especially in and after the graduation chapters. I don't hate anime, but the author just write so much of it that I can't stand it. Whenever I even see a glimpse of the author writing the references, I will skip that chapter even if I ended up skipping half of what he/she wrote. Oh yeah, I skipped most of the graduation chapters, only reading half of "Graduation 1," some parts of 2 and 3, and the moment where Roxy leaves. I reckoned those were the chapters that made people drop reading this. Almost forgot about the roleplays. I hate that as well.
Whew, with that out of the way, let's start the review.
The writing is okay. But I think if the author used a website like Grammarly, it could be better. Even if he/she doesn't, its not a problem as people could read it well... for me at least. Oh yeah, the author should decide if he/she wanted to use either Japanese or English for honorifics. The way he/she write something like "Lord Arthur(-sama) and Lord Rudeus(-sama)" just grinds my gears a bit. If you can't write a consistent character, at least be consistent in writing... well, he/she kinda is tho'.
The character? Its a no for me. The author should've put a little bit more thought into the MC's character. I did just read until chapter 29 (by the time I write this review) so author probably already fixed it.
As for the story development, it follows the original (kinda) so I don't have any problems with it.
Its the same for world background. Since the world is already established by virtue of the fanfiction title, the author doesn't have to write too much of it. But he/she did managed to write the world well enough for someone like me to understand (I only read the manga long ago), so huge props for the author 👏.
No comment on update stability.
Overall, I would recommend this fanfiction if a person just wants to read something (like eating a snack). But if a person wants to get immersed into what he/she reads, then I suggest you go elsewhere. I know that my second paragraph is very harsh, but please don't think that I'm attacking the author personally. Its well within his/her right to write, so the author can write whatever he/she wants.
