Chapter 1Chapter 1

“Fuck!” Rohan Adams cursed softly after he’d finished reading the notice taped to the front door of his apartment. “Another rent hike.”

It was nearly three o’clock in the morning, and he had just finished an eight-hour shift bartending at the bar downtown where he only got an hour break for dinner. He was damn exhausted, and all he wanted was to get inside his shitty, tiny studio apartment and fall face-down onto his bed for a few hours’ sleep before he had to wake up, shower, and rush to his other job as a barista at the nearby coffee shop for the next few hours. He tore the piece of paper off his apartment door, crumpled it into a ball with his right fist, and threw it somewhere behind him. He lived in a rather dilapidated eight-story building, which was barely maintained or cleaned up, in one of the worst neighborhoods in the city so it didn’t matter if he dirtied it up. Nobody would care anyway.

He unlocked the front door and entered his apartment before sighing loudly. He would have to scrimp and save even more in order to make rent for the following month due to the increase, but he didn’t quite know how he would manage that, considering he was already living frugally day in and day out, and he wasn’t certain if there was any other apartment that would be cheaper than his current place. He stripped naked in a hurry as he headed toward the twin bed in the corner before toppling down onto it with a loud groan. He was relieved to finally be home, but he scrunched up his nose in disgust when he was assaulted by the musky stench of his perspiration and alpha pheromones, along with the unfamiliar stink of another alpha. The latter resulted from having to grab on to that sweaty and rather intoxicated alpha earlier at the bar because that man and another male alpha were about to start a fight and punch each other bloody.

He might be an alpha himself, but it took every ounce of his self-control to pull that enraged man away from the man’s opponent. There were many reasons for that. As an alpha, the scent of another angry alpha would spike his own fury. If he didn’t have sufficient control over his own temper, he might have joined in the brawl instead. In terms of physique and brute strength, male alphas were the strongest. It didn’t matter how muscular a male beta or omega was. When the altercation involved a male alpha, the male beta or omega would be at a disadvantage. Period. At the moment, he ached from head to toe because he’d had to exert plenty of energy to drag that irate alpha away from his opponent. After all, that drunk alpha had lots of muscle to spare, and he was about three, four inches taller than Rohan’s own height of six feet. Fortunately, Rohan, weighing two hundred and thirteen pounds of muscle, wasn’t too shabby either, and he succeeded in breaking those two roaring, fuming alphas apart. Otherwise, there would be a ton of injuries to deal with, and several things inside the bar might end up being broken into pieces.

He was about to shut his eyes when he saw the brochure on his nightstand. He reached for it and skimmed through it for what felt like the thousandth time. He’d received the brochure about three weeks ago right before he was about to enter the grocery store close to his apartment building. It contained an advertisement for the local alpha auction house. Initially, he’d wanted to discard it, but something held him back, and now, he was glad he kept it. He was aware of the existence of alpha auction houses all over the country. Some were shadier than others, but they were all legal. Or they were supposed to be. To put them in a better light, they could be labeled as dating agencies that specialized in handling alphas, especially male alphas, who were willing to offer their services, sexual or otherwise, to the betas and omegas. Alphas might be the majority in the world, followed by the betas and then the omegas, which made up less than twenty-five percent of the total population, but they weren’t in charge. Instead, the omegas were the most powerful, both financially and politically.

“What the fuck?” Rohan muttered under his breath. “I must have lost my mind for a second there.”

Or maybe he was simply desperate enough to consider the possibility of joining an alpha auction house. His chances of meeting an omega while simultaneously earning some extra money would be much higher if he joined. After all, the alpha auction houses, at least the respectable ones, had strict policies when it came to the alphas they were willing to accept as clients. The background check would be stringent, and Rohan knew he would have to undergo multiple health screenings. Granted, the various fees at the alpha auction houses were really high, and the omegas knew they would also have to provide, monetary-wise, for the alphas they purchased. At least for the duration of the contract both parties agreed on. However, the omegas would feel much safer if they selected their alphas there instead of picking them at random on the street somewhere.

To Byul (Omegaverse)

'When the heart is talking, the head has no choice but to shut up!' Chin-hwa and Kang-woo grew up together; they had never been separated before, and without knowing, both started growing feelings for each other. They kept this a secret, of course, but it looked like keeping it a secret was the very wrong decision to make because this stems forth a misunderstanding that brings about pain and suffering to both of them. It can all be fixed, though, with a simple confession. But who would make the confession when both were too worried about the other hating them for secretly bearing feelings for them? It couldn't be fixed. Then, a bitter and painful separation occurred that changed Chin-hwa's life. A separation that took away his shining star. His Byul. But when he thought he would never see his Byul shining again, Kang-woo returns out of nowhere with far more charms and brilliance than he had three years ago. The charms of a dominant Omega. But... Just coming back wasn't enough to heal Chin-hwa of the pain in his heart. He was tired. So, instead of trying to get back to how things used to be, he decides to create a new route in front of them, shun his feelings, and push Kang-woo toward one of his friends in hopes that he doesn't fall any deeper than he already was. But fate had other plans, of course. Their hearts and souls had been bound from the moment they were born, so no matter the obstacle they had to face, they would surely end up together. After all, they just can't live without each other.

After Breaking Up, I Married the General

Ryzel, a nineteen-year-old guide, was expecting to marry Dwight, but the man changed his mind a month before the wedding. “I’m sorry, Ryzel. I wanted a nice and compassionate wife, so I am going to marry Sean instead. Unlike you, who were usually preoccupied with other things, he always showed concern for me. Not to mention how highly compatible we are with one another. I've actually met him before, but he persuaded me to date you because he feels sorry for you." Without even waiting for Ryzel's response, the man left. Ryzel, who was left behind, can't even bother caring about his heart because he's been dealing with a lot of issues as a result of the sudden rejection. He was turning 20 in a month, which meant he had to be married according to the federation's laws. After he reaches the age of 20, the government's assistance will cease, leaving him to fend for his own expenses. If he is not married to a powerful sentinel, he will not be able to reclaim his inheritance and will be forced to die on the front lines. He instantly began looking for solutions, but his hope kept dwindling as his birthday approached without a proper solution to his problems. On the day he felt all hope was lost, his ex’s superior, General Lewis, proposed to him. "I'm not gentle and kind; my priority probably won’t be you; our compatibility may not be high; do you still want to marry me?" Ryzel questioned, fixing his gaze on the general. "It's okay, I don't need my wife to be gentle and kind. Our compatibility is also high. You can focus on your studies, job, or dreams. As long as you remember that you are my guide." “Okay, let’s get married.” ------------------------ This is the story of Ryzel's advancement in career and love life, even with all the troubles surrounding him.

Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse [BL]

Zou Yue jumped to the side, dodging an extended claw of a growling zombie. A pair of warm hands gripped his small waist from behind and pulled him over to a sturdy chest. The same pair of hands slowly groped his chest. “Brother fan w—what are you doing?!” Zou carefully looked up at him. Fan Xui smirked mysteriously at him and removed the huge shades stylishly. A clear pair of eyes met Zou’s challengingly. “since I saved you just now, why don’t you give me a kiss?” “you... you can see!!! Aren’t you blind!!!” Zou Yue glanced in shock. He pushed himself for of his body. Fan Xui laughed out loud, gently caressing Zou’s long black hair. “are you gonna leave me now?,” he continued groping his barely their chest through his girly tank top. “Fuck yeah!! Let go you poser.” he pushed him away and started shooting the zombies outside with renewed passion. Fan suddenly caught his wrist. “You bastard, what are you doing, let go of my hand. The zombies are coming!!!” “Hmm okay,” Fan Xui let go. He swiftly snapped a fluffy handcuff snugly on his wrist, tying them both together. “Now we are tied together for live and death,” “FAN. XUI!! Get this off of me!” Zou growled at him, but the young man just laughed happily. “Sigh, you are beautiful even when you are angry, dear,” Fan Xui whispered and pulled him up for a passionate kiss. He gently bit those soft lips and moaned. “Delicious,” Letting go, he slowly waved his hand towards the upcoming zombies and they are reduced to ashes.

Jock Next Bed (BL)

College was like a wake-up call for most people. Especially the likes of Christopher Owen, who spent the rest of his high school years messing around and pining for the boy he never had. Having had a frustrating high school year, he decided to dedicate himself to his studies in college.   He flew many miles away from home, changed his looks, and hid his real identity from everyone.  His plans were simple: study hard, pass well, no dating. But then he realized two things: life was anything but easy without the backing of his last name. And... he wasn't sure how long he could last before he jumped his roommate, who was obviously not gay. But lust wasn't love, right? Maybe he could indulge a little? Just a little, I promise. ***** EXCERPT: "THAT ARROGANT, GOOD FOR NOTHING, DEMONIC IDIOT! I HATE HIM SO MUCH!" "O-kay... what is going on?" A friend asked him, watching as he paced around the room he just entered. "After battling for a long time. A LONG TIME!" he breathed heavily before continuing, "I... I confessed to him today." The other sat up, eyes wide. "For real?" "And then... with that stupid lollipop in his mouth, he just looked at me and said Okay. OKAY!" Gasps. "I didn't even know people said "okay" to love confessions, but he said "okay" to me!" -- Meanwhile, while he was there panicking, the one who had been confessed to remained seated where he was in the room. He had not moved an inch from that position since he got confessed to. But if one looked closely, they would notice how red his face was, up to the tips of his ears. He suddenly chuckled to himself. "That idiot," he muttered, looking at the door the other had taken.
