Synopsis

Everyone was transmigrated and was trapped 2000 meters under the frozen ocean on another planet. Everyone only had a small submarine, to begin with. They were challenged with all sorts of problems such as the lack of food and oxygen, water pressure, turbulence, and even powerful sea monsters and bacterial parasites. There were all sorts of dangers lurking around and the path to survival was deemed to be extremely hard. However, while everyone was worried about their own lives, Meng Lei was able to remain calm as he quickly realized that he could see hints from the system. “A pioneer’s sunken submarine can be found 500 meters away from you. The resources inside the ship will make you the richest person.” “An Apocalypse worm has been detected 1200 meters away from you. Kill it and you’ll become the strongest in the dark abyss.” “A ruin of ancient civilization can be found 4500 meters away from you. Danger level: SSS. What are you hesitating for? Run!”

Chapter 1Diving into the Abyss

[Welcome to the Abyss of the Alien Planet!]

[Humans from the Blue Planet, as you can see, you are all trapped in the ocean abyss 2,000 meters below sea level.]

[This is an alien planet tens of thousands of times larger than the Blue Planet. Its surface is covered in a solid layer of ice!]

[Under that boundless layer of ice is completely a deep and endless ocean abyss!]

[In it, there are endless resources, opportunities, and wealth!]

[Similarly, there are also all kinds of deadly opportunities hidden!]

[Here, you will face all kinds of alien planet monsters and great challenges from unknown creatures!]

[In addition, the powerful water pressure, the unpredictable undercurrents at the bottom of the sea, and the complicated and huge structure of the ocean cave, which is like a spider web, will be the most fatal threat to all of you during your dive!]

[And the only thing that will accompany you all is the most basic exploration submarine.]

[Your only goal now is to survive!]

[Do your best to mine the underwater resources, upgrade your submarine, and maintain your survival needs!]

[Before the ice layer in the current area collapses, try to dive to the gathering place of the first outpost alive!]

[Attention! Attention! Attention!]

[Don't try to take shortcuts and dive deep recklessly just because you are in control of an exploration submarine. Otherwise, the pressure from the depths will crush you instantly into a pancake!]

[And the even more terrifying abyssal sea monsters will also easily tear apart your submarine hull!]

[Therefore, in the limited time you have, you must build the submarine, which you rely on to survive, even stronger to face even more brutal challenges!]

[Now, please name your initial submarine: --]

… .

In the cramped cockpit of the submarine.

Meng Lei frowned.

On the central control screen in front of him, the lines of green notifications made his eyes blank.

He vaguely remembered that he had been working out in the gym before he passed out.

In the next moment, a large amount of white light started to flash beside him.

One familiar face after another disappeared into thin air, and Meng Lei lost consciousness.

When he opened his eyes again, he was in an unfamiliar environment.

The sweat on his body had not subsided, and his heart was beating violently.

All of this proved that he had been taken away by some mysterious force in an instant.

This method had already exceeded Meng Lei's understanding.

If he had to find a far-fetched reason, there was no doubt that he had encountered transmigration.

"National Transmigration? Survival game?!"

Meng Lei took a deep breath in disbelief.

However, he had to believe it.

As his gaze moved, he was stunned by the scene outside the huge glass porthole in front of the submarine's cockpit.

He saw a pale light beam shone straight ahead, illuminating an area of about 20 to 30 meters.

Wherever the light reached, faint white floating objects, mixed with some small bubbles, slowly surged outside the porthole with the gentle current.

Apart from that, everything further away was an incomparably deep darkness!

The moment he saw this scene, Meng Lei felt as if he was in a desolate space!

The sense of oppression of the deep sea hit one in the face, making one feel extremely small.

The almost suffocating visual impact made Meng Lei's scalp tingle.

After a long while, Meng Lei regained his senses.

"As expected, am I already at the bottom of the sea?"

"So this metal facility is my submarine?"

After a short silence, Meng Lei did not panic.

He had been deeply afflicted by various online literature, causing his thinking to be different from that of ordinary people.

Faced with such a bizarre matter, he was even a little excited.

It was almost impossible for ordinary people to see a submarine.

Meng Lei had only seen the submarine set used for filming in movies.

It would be a lie to say that he was not curious and excited to be aboard the submarine for the first time.

However, rationality reminded Meng Lei that now was not the time for curiosity.

Since it was a survival game, the most important thing now was to figure out the settings and rules of the game.

His gaze stopped at the bottom of the central control screen, on the so-called naming column.

He tapped his fingertips gently.

Meng Lei hesitated for a moment before entering the words "Bottomless Valley".

The word "Bottomless Valley" had a special meaning in the culture of the Nine Provinces.

The so-called Bottomless Valley referred to the bottomless valley in the deepest depths of the oceanic abyss, where all the water gathered.

Since this game had deep diving as the background, Meng Lei thought that the term Bottomless Valley was very close to the theme.

In the next moment, when he had finished naming his submarine, the text prompt on the central control screen changed again.

[Naming successful. Your initial submarine's name is Bottomless Valley!]

[Before the game officially begins, please remember the following points!]

[The Bottomless Valley has completed its submersion. The game has begun!]

[Countdown to the collapse of the ice layer in the current area: Seven days!]

This is an absolutely amazing story. While the title sounds like the generic types of this genre, the difference is wide as an abyss. The writing quality pulls a huge one over all the others. The author describes the environment so vividly and non-monotonously. The translator did a very good job conveying that feeling to the readers as well. That was only the scenes too. The personality of the main character is amazing, not too exaggerated for a person being transmigrated into a wholly new environment, just a bit better than a chunk of the population. The environment that the story based itself upon is much better than other types as well, since it puts a much more active objective of survival, being unable to stay in one spot, than passive, just waiting for catastrophes to occur. It forces people to survive instantly at the beginning, rather than allow people to muddle around until they have zero prospects. Regarding secrets, this story gives rewards when any secret is disclosed, which is a very nice mechanism, giving a reason for many people, even the most inept for the environment to have at least a chance for survival. In additionally, many of the general knowledge and instructions were given in the beginning, allowing people to have at least a sense of what is happening and what to do, with the consequences of not doing so as well. I may be too excited right now (for the fishies!) to notice some of the small flaws, but there really isn't much. Especially when compared to the other generic stories of this genre.
