I enjoyed the chapter, and I agree he shouldn't tell them about his lil exp massacre lol. But, I do think they should know he's beyond human to some extent. it would make his stories that are a little hard to believe much more believable. I'd they knew he was faster and stronger abs better equipped to do what he's saying they wouldn't question him as much. they'll also be more open to relying on him and likely trust him a little more... after they freak out a bit lol
Mc is a good man he hides the truth despite their understandable skepticism and lack of respect. I'd happily take that if it means kids like Clementine and Duck are able to survive. He has the will and power to save the world with a good heart. Imagine if a selfish person got the gamer system and acted like a Warlord.
What motivation does the MC have to go through all this distrust and hostility? I understand that everyone wants to survive in their own way and trusting others is difficult, but why does the MC NEED to go through all this? Can't he just be a The Gamer and do what every gamer does? Level up, learn new skills, use them to find a cure, create an environment conducive to prosperity and if they want to survive, they would have to come to him... This constant attitude of the MC of lowering his head, begging for trust, being humiliated when you try to help willingly it's tedious, reading has been increasingly frustrating, the player plot has already been put aside, the fun of it has given way to kingdom building and social policy....
If he needs a cover for his physical abilities, just say he was an experimental super soldier candidate experimented on by the government. The government was experimenting on viruses and other biotech and created the zombie virus. They also created the MC’s enhancements. And if his inventory is ever exposed? Tell them you have access to a pocket dimension controlled by AI access chip. Makes more sense than a Gamer system, let’s be honest.
A few other people were saying how the mc should show some of his abilities to make the survivors believe in him more. I agree to an extant. He probably should't show that his psychical attributes are well into superhuman levels, at most he should only show that he is well above average. What he should really hype up are his skills. No one will question him when he pulls off some Deadshot level stuff with a gun.
