This novel is a Rural Fantasy based in the Central Valley of California in the late 1960s. It is best described as the TV series Lost Girl, mixed with Patricia Brigg's Mercy Thompson (or Alpha and Omega) novels, with influences from Charles De Lint unique style of fantasy. It is scheduled to update daily. While this novel it could possibly be lumped in with werewolf novels, since there is a focus on shifters, I would not pick it up expecting a traditional werewolf romance. Romance is definitely a focus and a theme, as are character relationships. Mythology and immortality are the other themes, as are tragedy and struggles of life. Now of course, this glowing review is from my perspective as the writer. I'm close to this work having spent a great deal of time on it. This is, though, a draft, and while it is complete and I intend to post the entirety of it here, it is not perfect. Still, I hope you enjoy it for what it is. <3 <3 <3 Sincerely, M.S. Chavez
Honestly, this is too good to be on web novel, if the author had a professional editor I have no doubt (based on what I've read so far) that this could be published. I have read thousands upon thousands of books, everything from Dostoevsky's masterpieces to Paolini's Inheritance series, so believe me when I say this, this is a quality novel worth your time, and more importantly, your intrigue.
💜This is a gem really! Firstly I love love love the way you write, it's awesome! The world you created is really out of this world! The characters are unique and described well with just few words. (Really wished I could write like that🥺) This is a genre that if left to me I won't pick it up cause they kinda scare me a little BUT WOW! I'm going to choose your book 100 times over at any time of the day! That's just how cool it is! I thought I might not be able to read all available chapters at once, but I was stuck till I realized I had gotten to the last chapter 😭 Can't get enough of Mingan and Elloreah's connection 💜...Hope their love blooms soon✨ The name of the characters are really unique and I like them(how did you name them? That's one of my very huge hurdles.😭) Love your work author! Keep it up! I'm impatiently waiting for more updates🤭 Oh and why did you name your story The Wind Shifts? 🤔 Sorry if I asked too many questions, I guess I'm looking up to you now. Come teach me please!😭

I'm so sorry for leaving a review after only 3 chapters :( I'm really loving this! The writing is so fluid and the pacing feels just right! I'm in love with the characters already. Really looking forward to where this will go. I'm adding this to my reading list. It may take me a while to catch up to this, but I'll catch up for sure! Maybe update this review then too, heh
The story is wonderful. Overall, I find the plot interesting. The pace of the story is smooth and the descriptions are vivid for me to portray the scenarios going on in my head. I was also able to portray how the characters looked like in a few paragraphs. There is nothing much to critic about this novel since I find the writing style of the author unique and was not able to notice any errors. Punctuation such as the comma and period were used correctly too. I'm not fond of reading novels belonging to this type of genre, but I have to say, it was captivating. The descriptions are perfect and the paragraphs are not that lengthy. As for the stability of updates, I assume the author updates daily but despite this, I prefer quality over quantity. I wish the author the very best!
