My mistake, Good eye on catching that detail, yeah there is a story behind her action. She had made a decision without his consent.

She only knows the calm Emily that follows Aile's commands. As another one of his maids, she does not want him to give her a task she can not complete: endangering herself and Aile. If you look at her response based on what she knows it becomes reasonable. :)
