'What is his Quirk,' Zoro asked. 'He is very agile and perceptive, I like that.'
'He is... This... This is so much fun, Zoro. Does fighting another swordsman to the death always this thrilling,' Ryoto asked.
'It sure is... I can somehow feel my soul's "heart" beating, even though it's you who is the one fighting.'
'I should end this as soon as possible though, we cannot afford to lose time, the Nomu will bring more chaos the longer we are busy/'
'Do what you must, Ryoto.'
After countless moves done by Stain, he was still not able to so much as scratch Scar. That went for Scar, too. At base level, both swordsmen were equal. But one thing caused Scar to gain the upper hand - his Quirk, Sharpness. Every strike that was countered by Stain damaged his Katana severely. Stain's blade was already chipped all over, becoming more efficient in ripping than cutting.
The chips deepened, but this caused another adjustment.
Stain saw his Katana's new condition. Most would think that a sword with symmetrical cuts going into it was a bad thing, and it was, but not for Stain. He saw an opportunity. He thought of a way to fight Scar more efficiently. Although it was mostly ineffective, a sword-breaker was born from Scar's many strikes against Stain's blade.
Every chip on stain's blade had the perfect measure to capture Scar's Katana. And so Stain tried this new approach.
Stain jumped back into the alley's wall, his feet planted perfectly on it, giving him the opportunity to jump straight back at Scar.
This was not the first time he did that move, but this time, his new tactic was being carried out while he was in mid-air, flying towards Scar. Instead of meeting Scar's blade mid-way and blocking it, Stain intercepted Scar's blade and hooked it onto his own Katana's gap. Fitting perfectly, the grasp was tight on Scar's blade.
"Your blade must shatter," Stain said, pulling down on his Katana.
This downwards pull caused Scar's blade to bend sideways until it snapped. Not even in Zoro's first life had he seen a sword breaker being used, or being attempted to used.
Halted in stupor, Scar ceased his offensive for just a second. Stain thought this was a good opportunity to attack the motionless Scar who stood in the centre of the alley.
"Our blade... The one we restored... He snapped it in half," Ryoto said out aloud.
A downward slash approached Scar's head. Scar did not even bother to look. The anger he felt was immense. Their first Katana, the one they bought from a random store, which was also rusty and seemingly impossible to fix. "DO YOU KNOW WHAT I HAD TO DO TO GET THIS BLADE? I will make you pay!"
*PLINK*
The hidden blade on Scar's left arm popped out. And because he had lifted his arm, the hidden blade's edge faced Stain's blade directly. The thinner and lighter material that was used in the hidden blade's forging process is what made it so unexpectedly sharp. If measured, the hidden blade's sharpness was 50 to 80% sharper than either one of Scar's Katanas. It only made sense. Every single blade had its purpose on Scar's costume. The hidden blades were lethal, they were also perfect for the surprise factor that Stain was now forced to face.
Stain's Katana was cut in half.
"Knifes against a Katana... Does the Hero Killer have a response to that," Scar asked.
The fact was that Stain didn't have a response to that situation. His only melee weapon with enough range was now useless. He only had large hunting knifes and small blades left to fight with.
Stain considered running away, but the curiosity of his own obsession forced him to stay. Stain grabbed two knifes and took on a new fighting stance.
Seeing this, Scar put his Katana back into its sheath and pulled out a simple butterfly knife. "Unfortunately, this is the smallest blade I have on me, forgive me," Scar said and prepared to only use the small knife to fight and defeat Stain.
What would've been an exciting one on one duel between swordsmen was know a one-sided beatdown. Even tough Stain's knifes made contact with Scar's costume, no cuts or punctures appeared to have been left by them. And if Stain accidentally made contact with any part of Scar's body, he was left with a cut so deep it threatened his life.
At this point, Stain had lost more than half of his blood, one eyeball was cut in half, one ear cut off, left jaw cut open, 4 fingers cut off, muscles and tendons precisely cut to restrict his movements, and dozens of simple cuts were left all over his face, chest, stomach, back and arms.
Stain himself was not aware. The gushing blood gave him a false sensation, and so he believed that his body felt warm from excitement and not from the litres of blood that drenched him like sweat. Clinically, Stain was already considered dead, spiritually though, he was the liveliest he had ever been.
One last punch decided the bout in Scar's favor. A simple spartan kick was enough to catapult Stain outside the alley and onto Hosu main street where other Heroes had gathered and waited for Scar's fight to end.
"Boy! What did you do?! Did you kill him," Endeavor asked, seeing Stain's state.
Stain, now laying on the street of Hosu, looked at the full moon. Reminded of his ideals and principles, he gathered the last bit of his strength.
Stain looked at Endeavor and slowly stood up.
"HEROES! YOU FAKE HEROES! I WILL CHANGE WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A HERO! Endeavor, you are a false Hero! Come on! Try and kill me! Only All Might a-," Stain approached the group of Heroes, emitting a bloodlust so thick that the Heroes imagined the moon changing to crimson color, but his speech was interrupted by a scabbard hitting his head and knocking him out.
"I am glad you listened to my wish," Scar said, walking out of the alley, twirling around the butterfly and putting it back into its pocket. "Stain is ready for arrest. I made sure not to damage any vitals - he will be left disfigured though."

Kenji Tsuragamae, the police chief, entered Musha's office. Inside the office, Zoro, Musha and Tri-Force were present.
"You have disregarded several rules and have rendered Stain unrecognizable. You action were against the public safety act of...."
The police chief scolded Zoro for the action of the previous night, but Zoro did not listen to the chief. His whole speech fell on deaf ears.
Ryoto quickly took over and tried reasoning with the chief, also adding lies to manipulate and add reason to his action. "If I had not interfered, others might've been injured. I knew that I was a perfect match against Stain. I only needed one glance at him and Native to understand how his fighting style was and what his Quirk was. There was only one cut on Native's body, yet he was completely unable to move. You cannot cut a blade that is sharper than the tool you use. Not one of Stain's weapons was being taken care of properly. Maybe the fact that he is only a killer and not a thief remained and made me confident in my decision."
"We would've told the public that Tri-Force or even Aura defeated Stain, but someone filmed everything. They filmed how Stain was thrown out of an alley, from you which you later come out of. If not for the fact that Stain did not seriously hurt or kill anyone tonight, you would've lost the right to continue on in the Hero-course," Kenji said, angering both Ryoto and Zoro.
"If anyone was seriously hurt or killed and you would've denied me from becoming a Hero, I would've become the second Stain. Do NOT anger or disappoint great potential, or it might pursue the things you don't like," Scar said, standing up and walking towards his guest room.
"Mister Tsuragamae, why don't you sit and have a quick cup of tea with me," Musha said.
