Ivan stood back up. He clearly couldn't avoid Tony's blast. The heavy blow had struck him and broke his nose and sent some of his teeth flying. When he opened his mouth, people could see he had lost a few. Ivan looked at Tony, who was still hovering in the air, and spat out some blood while shouting, "I'll... Ki... ll ... you ... ou...!"
"Sorry, what did you say? I really can't understand you." In mid-air, Tony listened to Ivan's hoarse and garbled voice and shook his head with a helpless look.
Apparently, Ivan had lost his ability to speak due to Hawkeye's previous attack.
Noticing that, Ivan's scarred face grew even grimmer. Ivan swung his whip and threw a powerful electric current at Tony.
The Mark 6's palm repulsors changed the direction of Tony's flight. Even if Mark 6's defences were significantly increased, Tony didn't want to take the risk.
Ivan swung his whip several times but failed to bring Tony down from mid-air. Ivan grew even more irritable. He turned his head to look at the distant Defenders and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents teaming up to stop the army of cyborgs. It seemed like he had made a decision in his mind. He pressed a button on the whipcord in his hand, and in the next instant, the two whipcords in his hands flared out with a strong electric current, a huge electric current that not only filled the cords but even started spreading over his body.
Moving forward while controlling the currents with his modified body seemed like a heavy burden for Ivan. He swung his arms and attacked Tony.
Noticing the movements of Ivan's hands, Tony controlled his armour and planned to dodge Ivan's attack like before.
However, at that moment, a sudden burst of strong electric current from the tip of the whipcord wrapped itself around Tony.
Ivan took advantage of the situation and pulled the whipcord, pulling Tony down from the air and slamming him into a tall building across the street.
Tony was smashed into the middle of a tall building. Ivan opened his bloody mouth and laughed. He then swung his whip toward the building. Surrounded by a strong electric current, the whipcord turned into a deadly weapon that could even melt steel.
Bam --
Faced with Ivan's aggressive attack, Tony quickly manoeuvred his armour. He smashed through the second floor of the building and broke out of the window.
Boom --
In the next second, the whipcord in Ivan's hand, looking like a powerful electric snake, left a deep crack in the building.
"Whew, that was close."
Hovering in mid-air, Tony looked at the mark on the building with a stunned expression on his face.
"Sir, behind you."
However, at that moment, Jarvis's warning made him stop. Without a second thought, he manoeuvred his armour to fly upwards. Looking back, he saw that at some point, Ivan had once again flown into the air. The guy was pulling back his whip from Tony's previous location.
"Trying to sneak up on me?"
"Oh, I forgot, you can't talk now..."
Needless to say, Tony had a natural talent when it came to annoying the enemy.
...
"How's it going, Captain?"
Bending down to avoid a cyborg's fist, Natasha frowned as she watched a cyborg, whom she had just knocked down, standing back up again. Her expression grew serious as she turned to Steve and asked.
"We didn't have this kind of metal people back in my days." Grabbing the shield and knocking away the cyborg in front of him, Steve turned to Natasha and sighed as he looked around at the cyborgs that were still attacking.
He starts to miss the past, where the biggest problem was only Red Skull and Hydra.
"Welcome to the new era, Cap."
"Why aren't these guys staying down?" Raising his hand to break the limbs of a cyborg, Cage's expression slightly changed as he noticed that the cyborg kept crawling toward him. He backed up and asked out loud.
"Maybe because the guy controlling them isn't dead yet."
Frank shot a cyborg through the head several times. Frank's approach caused Steve and the rest of the Defenders to frown, but he personally looked like he was taking the right approach.
The brain was the only weak point of these cyborgs, but trying to blow through the heads of these guys wasn't a simple matter. Their heads were wrapped in thick metal, and to kill them, he had to fire several shots in a row at close range like that or use a special weapon like Hawkeye.
It's just that once that was done, it became clear that these modified people wouldn't survive.
"Cap, this isn't the time to be lenient."
Noticing the look on Steve's face, Natasha reminded him. As a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, she didn't think Frank was doing anything wrong.
"I know, it's just..."
"They were innocent people. Most of them were ordinary people from Hell's Kitchen." Noticing the movement on Frank's side, Matt was silent for a moment and couldn't help but speak up.
"But the moment they underwent the alterations, they sealed their fate." The Punisher spoke indifferently. His gaze swept over the army of cyborgs in front of him, and he soon noticed a familiar face among them, one of his war buddies.
Silently withdrawing his gaze, Frank raised the firearm in his hand and coldly said, "Instead of letting them live on like robot slaves, I would rather give them a good ending. At least, they can die like normal people instead of living as monsters."
Frank's remarks, although extreme, clearly had some truth to them.
"..."
Upon hearing his words, Steve was silent for a moment before turning his attention to Ivan, who was fighting with Tony on the other side.
"I think it's time to end this. "
