Shadow POV

"I don't understand it, either" Monty stated as Sinclair had explained everything to us. "Something about those chips" Monty added. "We'll know something soon enough so be ready" I informed everyone. Octavia begins packing a bag. "O, wait. You can't just leave" Bellamy tells her. "Watch me" Octavia says. "You heard what Jasper said on the radio Arkadia is not safe" Bellamy reminded her. "What Jasper said sounded insane. Pike's gone. I can handle myself" she tells him, tossing the pack over her shoulder. "Grounders burn their dead" she tells him. "I know that" Bellamy says. "And then what! Where are you gonna go?" Bellamy questioned. "You don't get to ask me that! Just because Shadow forgives you doesn't mean I do!" Octavia shouted at him. "What more do I have to do to prove that I'm am in your side?" Bellamy asked Octavia. "Bring Lincoln back" she tells Bellamy before stepping around him. "Turning Pike is does not make you one of the good guys, Bellamy" she says. "You did that to save me. Not because what you thought pike was doing tot he Grounders was wrong" she pointed out. I knew that too but with a little time I only hoped Bellamy would change his mind. "The grounders we're starving us out" Bellamy pointed out. "Because you massacred an army that was sent to protect us" she stated. "That army. could have attacked us at any time and you know it" Bellamy says. "But they didn't attack. You did that" Octavia says. "You were hurting and lashed out because that's what you do" she tells him. "There are consequences, Bell. People get hurt. People die. Your people" she pointed at him. "Monroe is dead. Lincoln is dead" she added before leaving the cave. Bellamy followed her out and I follow Bellamy when I hear the Rover pull up. "They're here!" Miller called out. I see the lights and Clarke climbed out of the River. "Need your help!" Jasper called out, carrying Raven over to us. "We need to get her inside before she wakes up!" He shouted. We all rushed over to Raven "We're you followed?" I asked Jasper as Bellamy takes Raven. "Maybe. I don't know" Jasper shakes his head. "Get tot he ridge. Radio if you spot anyone following" I ordered Bryan who nodded and took off. We rushed inside "Octavia come on, we need you!" Clarke called out to her. "Clear some space" I ordered Sinclair. Bellamy placed her on the floor. "What happened?" I asked Jasper. "I told you on the radio. Raven is not Raven anymore" Jasper explained. "None of them Them are" he added. "Jaha has been chipping everyone" Jasper informed us. "Jaha? When did he get back?" I asked. "While we were with Lexa" Clarke says. "Jaspers right. I've seen it with my own eyes" Clarke says. "I don't need your help!" Jasper shouted at Clarke. "Hey. Take it easy and explain Jasper..." I tell him. "Jaha is using the chips to control everyone. You swallow it and it changes you. You forget who you are and then you see this thing. Alie" he explained. "Only, she's not really there. She made Raven slit her own wrists. She was trying to get her out of her head" Jasper tells us. "I was trying to help her but—" I cut Jasper off. "Okay. So let's help her now" I suggested. "Did she say how?" I asked him. "She was working on building something. She needed one of her old wristband but Jaha destroyed all of them" Jasper tells us. "Wait a second..." Clarke takes something out of her pocket. "Does it look like this?" She asked, holding a small chip. "Not exactly" Jasper tells us. Bellamy goes to grab it but Raven is quick to stand to her feet and tackling Jasper to the ground. "Don't let her get away!" I shouted as we all run after Raven. "It's just woods! I can't see anything!" Raven shouted. "No!" Raven shouted as I grabbed her. Everyone joined me. "If Raven find where we are then so will Alie" Jasper says. "She'll come for her" he explained. I grabbed a tranquilizer from my pocket and stabbed Raven in the neck and she calmed down before passing out. "We have to go" Clarke tells us. "Why? Alie doesn't know where we are" I tell Clarke. "Because I know where we can get a wristband" Clarke tells us.

We pulled up to the the trading post we once went to when we thought we had found Clarke but Roan really had her. That seemed like so long ago. When the pain of my sister still rested deep in my chest that I pretended it didn't hurt me any longer. The once blonde woman took out her sword and I glanced over at Bellamy. "I'll talk to her..." Clarke says to us. "I'll go with you" I tell her, following her out over the Rover. Octavia jumped out of the Rover and turned to Clarke. "I thought you said she was your friend?" She asked. "We'll handle it. Just stay here" I ordered Octavia before Clarke and me began walking towards the post and closer to the woman. "Skaikru is not welcome here. Wanheda" she hissed at Clarke. "Niylah what's wrong?" Clarke asked her. "She's waking up! Hurry!" I hear Sinclair call out. "Is your father here?" Clarke asked. "My father is dead" she hissed out. "Part of the army killed by your people while trying to protect you" she tells us. "Niylah please" Clarke begged. "I said no" she hissed out. "We don't have time for this. Move!" Bellamy ordered as he approached, pointing his gun at her. "Move!" Bellamy shouted. Sinclair brings over Raven "Get her inside now!" He ordered as Niylah moved out of the way. "I told you. My mom was here. If she was chipped. Alie would know" Monty tried to tell Clarke as we entered inside the house. "That's why we're putting her in the back, through here" Clarke instructed as we all followed her. I grabbed robes and rushed over to where Sinclair places Raven on the bed down the hall. "We have to tie her to the bed" I said as Raven begins to wake up, struggling as Sinclair and Jasper hold her down. Raven the rips off the blind fold. "Where the hell am I?!" Raven screamed. "Hold her!" Sinclair shouted. "Let me go!" She screamed as I handed everyone robes. "Here! Tie her up!" I shouted over Raven yelling. I tied her arm and everyone else tied her legs and other arm. She kept screaming. "Raven! Stop fighting!" I yelled. "Fight it!" I yelled. "Got it!" Sinclair called out as he tied down her leg tighter. "Let me goooo!" She screamed in a deep voice that no longer sounded like her own. I felt sick to my stomach as I backed away a little.

Clarke, Sinclair Monty and meleave the room and entered to see Bellamy holding a gun to Nyilah. "How the hell do we get that thing out of her head?" I asked them all. "Working on it" Monty says. Clarke and me walk over to Bellamy and Niylah. "I got this" Clarke tells Bellamy and me. "We'll be over there" I grabbed Bellamy hand and guided him over towards a small area where we sit down next to each other. We both listen to the conversation before Nyilah tells Clarke the wristband is somewhere else and she would be back with it. That the killing at the field wasn't us. "You okay?" Clarke asked as she turned to Bellamy. "I'm fine" He tells her.

We formed in a different room and Clarke set the wristband on the table. "Niylah says we can work in here" Clarke stated. "How do we do this?" I asked, standing in between Bellamy and Monty. "We think Raven wanted to use this wristband to generate an EMP which is freakishly brilliant" Sinclair and explained. "Meaning what?" Bellamy asked. "A target electromagnetic pulse could distort the chips circuitry we could use this to send an EMP along Ravens own nervous system" I knit my brows together and tilted my head to the side. "Smart...you should've took engineering" Sinclair tells me. "Anyway we just need to reverse the polarity wire for external input and attach it to a battery" Sinclair explained. "But what would that do to her?" Clarke asked. "EMPs don't effect our bodies. But I don't know the mechanic of this chip integrates with her Brain" I say. "This was Ravens plan?" Bellamy questioned. "She wouldn't do it if it was gonna destroy her brain" Bellamy pointed out. "Depends on how bad she wanted it out" I say. "Regardless, without the electromagnet, this is just talk" Sinclair says. "Where do we get one?" Bellamy asked. "The Ark. every station has a pulsed inductive thruster for maneuvering" Sinclair answered. "Arkadia is out of tue question. It's too dangerous, you heard them" Bellamy reminded us as I think for a moment but then it hit me. "We use the drop ship" I blurted out. They all looked at me weirdly. "It had PI thrusters just like on the Ark" I explained. Sinclair nodded "That's good." We all had agreed "Okay. I'll go salvage the magnet" Sinclair says. "Uh...No" Monty stops him. "You should stay with Raven and figure out how this thing works. I'll take the Rover and be back by the time you finish the device" Monty explained. "I'll go with you" Octavia offered before leaving with Monty.

"Guys! Guys!" We heard Jasper scream. We come rushing in to see Raven practically chewing on her arm. "Stop her!" I shouted. "Jasper get that side!" Bellamy ordered. Clarke looks at her wounds as Bellamy, Jasper and me hold her down. "She's reopened her wounds!" Clarke sounded frustrated. "Get away from me!" Raven shouted at us. "She's gonna bleed to death! I need bandages!" Clarke ordered as we tie Ravens body down as well. "I got her" Bellamy pinned Ravens arm to the bed. I hold her shoulder down and she growl and screams in my face. "Raven stop fighting us!" Clarke tells her. "Alie! Alie! Look at me!" I shouted in Ravens face. "I know you can hear us. Why are you doing this to her? Let her go" I demanded. "I'll let her go when you give me what I want" Her voice said. "The technology that Clarke carries, it belongs to me" she stated, turning her head to Clarke. "No way" she stated. "Clarke just give it to her" Jasper says. "Clarke!" Jasper yelled as Raven growls. "If you let Raven die, you'll never get it" Clarke responded to her. Suddenly Raven goes limp "untie her wrist" Clarke ordered. "Hold her steady" she then said. We all hold Raven down as Clarke begins popping her should back into place. "She's never going to stop trying to get away" Bellamy pointed out. "We can't let her hurt herself again" I added. "Someone had to stay with her" I pointed out. "I'll be first watch" Clarke nodded.we can take turns" Clarke said. "You don't give the orders, Clarke!" Jasper yelled. "Guess he doesn't forgive you for murdering his girlfriend" Raven spit out. "Jasper. Take a break" Bellamy ordered as my stomach turned, knowing Clarke never gave the order to kill Mount weather. I did. Jasper leaves the room and Bellamy follows him. I watch as Clarke helps Raven. "Thank you" she tells Clarke. Clarke gives her a nod and a slight smile. "Do you ever see their faces?" She then asked. "What?" Clarke asked. "Of all the people you've killed" Raven responded. Clarke scoffed "I know what you're doing. But you can't get to me, Alie. So don't even bother" Clarke tells Raven. "It's not Alie, Clarke. It's Raven" Raven stated concerns causing me to knit my brows together. "And I'm not trying to get to you. I'm just trying to tell you the truth because no one else will" she says. "Every where you go, death follows. You always want to save everyone. What you don't realize is you're the one who needs saving from" she pushes Clarke. "Wells is dead because you couldn't see Charlotte was a basket case. Finn is dead because you broke his heart and then slid a knife into it. Hell, I bet you got Lexa killed, too" Raven stated. Clarke face went stone and I knew it hit her. "Shut up..." Clarke warned her, standing to her feet. "And then there's dear old dad" Raven pushed harder. "I said shut up" Clarke warned again. "Your moms in here with me Clarke. She tells me you tried to convince him not to go public about the fact the Ark was dying. Guess you should have tried harder!" She kept yelling as Clarke went to leave the room. "His blood is on your hands, too" she tells Clarke. She turned around "Shut up!" She yelled. "You can hide behind the selfless martyr act, but we see you for what you really are" She grabbed the cloth. "Poisoned to anyone who gets close" Clarke tried to cover her mouth but Raven bites Clarke. "You're done Alie you hear?!" Clarke screamed as I approached her. "We're going to fry you!" She yelled. "Bellamy!" I called out to him as Clarke tried to attack Raven, dragging Clarke out the door. "Calm down!" I shouted as Bellamy helped me drag Clarke out of the room.

I sit with Bellamy at the table, quietness covering every inch of the room as we waited with Jasper. "Look at your united front" Raven says. "Tell me. Why do you give Shadow a pass for murdering your girlfriend?" Raven asked Jasper. "What was her name?" Raven asked. My heart sank, knowing how much Jasper was putting Clarke through. "Don't talk about Maya" Jasper warned her. "You don't have to listen to this" Bellamy tells Jasper. "Let protect Jasper. Jasper is so sensitive. Jaspers lost someone. Everyone cater to his feelings. We've all lost someone and you don't see us falling apart. You don't see us getting wasted. Being useless" Raven stated. "No, you took a pill to take away your pain. You gave up your memories" Jasper says. "But then, why should we expect anything more?" Raven went on ignoring his words. "You used to get high off peoples medicine. Being a selfish loser was your only move" Raven edged him on. "Stop..." Jasper warned. "That's all we see when we look at you" Raven went on. "A coward. A waste of breath. Why do you even bother living. Your weak. Pathetic. You can't save me. You can't even save yourself" Raven tells him. "You definitely couldn't save what-her-name" Raven laugh. Jasper shot up, slamming his hand down on the table. "You know her name!" He screamed. "Jasper! Think!" I run in front of him, getting him to look at me as I touched his face. "It's not Raven talking and you're giving her what she wants" I say. "Go..." I nudge my head to the door. Jasper slowly leaves the room and I sit down at the table with Bellamy. "Just the three of us huh?" She asked. "Oh, come on Shadow. We've had our fun together" she smiled. I rolled my eyes "You aren't getting to me" I tell Raven. "How about we talk about your sister?" She asked. "It hurts but I've grieved" I tell Raven. "What about Bellamy? Has he grieve over his dead girlfriend?" Raven asked. "Is that why he was so easy to jump to you? Latch on like he did when he first came down here?" Raven laughed. "How does it feel to be sleeping with a man that murdered an entire army of grounders?" Raven asked. Suddenly Niylah walks into the room, slapping Bellamy in the face. "My father!" She screamed. "No! You can't be in here!" I hissed at her. "Too late. Raven has already seen her" Clarke stated. "Now Alie knows where we are"

I sigh. Bellamy grabbed his coat and I rushed out the door as he slipped outside. He begins kicking and punching stuff. "Hey! Hey!" I run over to him, causing him to stop. "Bellamy...stop..." I whispered. "Feel better?" Nyilah asked him. "All I wanted to do was protect my people" Bellamy truthfully tells her. "By destroying mine" she stated. "I'm sorry..." Bellamy choked out. "People like you always are" she stated. The Rover approached which meant Octavia and Monty were back. Monty didn't say a word as he just went inside. "What happened?" I asked Octavia. She told us everything and my heart broke for Monty before we entered the house. "Everyone let's go!" Monty called out. "All we have to do it connect her and activate the electromagnet" Sinclair explained as we begin hooking Raven up to the machine. Monty begins untiying her arm when Raven starts to struggle. "Hold her arm still!" Sinclair ordered. I rushed over and help Monty. "Raven!" I shouted at her. She starts screaming "Raven stop!" I shouted as she breaks open her wounds again. "Raven, you're bleeding!" I gasped. "Stop it! Stop it!" Bellamy shouted. Just then Raven begin hitting her head over and over on the bed. "She's trying to kill herself!" I hissed out. "Raven stop!" I ordered her. I hold down her head, pinning it against the wall. "Stop it!" I shouted as Octavia and Bellamy help me. "Stop! And I'll give you this" Clarke holds a chip up for Raven to see and she sat still. Bellamy snatched the wire from Sinclair and I put the wristband out her wrist as Bellamy put the wire inside it. "No! You lied! You lied!" Raven shouted. "No! Please no! Don't!" Raven begged us as Sinclair begins setting up the rest of the machine. "The EMP will give me brain damage!" Raven shouted. "You know it will! Please don't do this!" She begged us. My heart ached for Raven, her words taring me up inside as she begins to sob. "Don't listen to her!" Octavia tells us all. "Please you know it will!" Raven keeps begging. "Sinclair! Stop!" Raven begged. "Sinclair! No, please no!" Raven begged him more as I sit by her side. "We've only got one shot at this. EMP will fry the wristband, too" Sinclair explained. "Do it!" Bellamy ordered. "Okay got it!" Sinclair says. "Go!" Monty orderer. "No!" Raven shouted as Sinclair pressed at button. "What's happening?" I asked them, knowing it hadn't worked. "Nothing. We need more power. The battery's not strong enough" Sinclair stated. "Well then get one that is!" Clarke shouted. It then hit me "The Rover!" I blurted out. "Sinclair hold her. Hold her!" I ordered him before running out of the house and outside to the Rover. Bellamy's with me in that second, pushing up the hood. "Right there!" I shouted. Bellamy looked pass me. "Drone!" He called out as he cocked his gun and aimed it high. "She's here..." I announced. Bellamy aimed and fired at the drone, causing it to hit the ground with a thud. "Not anymore" he tells me. "Get the battery, go!" He raised his voice. I rushed towards the Rover again and reached into the Rover hood, ripping the battery from it. We run back into the house and in the back room where their still holding Raven down on the bed. "Guys! We have to move!" Bellamy shouted over Raven as I hand Sinclair the battery. "Faster!" Bellamy yelled as Sinclair switched the battery's. "Got it!" Sinclair slammed his hand on the button and Raven screams in pain before limping over. I reached out and touched her neck. I feel her pulse "Shes breathing" I tell them. "Raven?" I call out to her. I begin to lightly shake her when she doesn't respond. "Come on. Raven hey! Raven?" I called out. "Wake up Raven..." I choked out. "Come on...please..." I begged. "She warned us..." Jasper spoke. I cradled her face "Please?" I begged her. Suddenly Jasper ripped something from Clarke pocket. "What are you doing?!" Clarke shouted at him. "Don't move!" Jasper warned us all. "No! Give it back!" Clarke shouted, stepping closer to Jasper. "Alie did that to Raven! She's never gonna get this!" Jasper shouted as he takes out his knife. "Don't! Stop! It's Lexa!" Clarke blurted out. "Part of her is still in there" Clarke explained. "I saw them cut it out of head..." Clarke explained. I knit my brows together when it had hit me. "What is it Shadow?" Bellamy asked me. "Both the AIs we're made by the same person. Both tap into human consciousness" I explained. They all look at me confusion on their faces. "They must work similarly, right?" I suggested. "Well, there's probably only one pathway to consciousness so it's a possibility yeah" Sinclair answered me. "What does this have to do with anything?" Octavia questioned. "Clarke...you've seen the AI get removed from Lexa. Right?" I asked her. She nodded "Help me get her on her side" Clarke instructed us. We all walk over to Raven and turned her on her side. "Get that med kit from my bag" Clarke ordered me. I rushed over to her bag and take out the Medkit before handing it to Clarke. She takes out a knife and we all watch as Clarke cuts open Raven neck. Blood seeped from the open wound and I handed Clarke a cloth to catch the blood with. Blood keeps falling out and I shake my head. "This has to work..." I whispered. Just then sliver liquid seeps with the blood. "What is that?" Bellamy asked. "'It's whatever's left of the chip" I tell him. Raven begins coughing and a whole weight was lifted out of the room. "Hey..." I smiled. "Ow...." Raven winched in pain. "Get her up" Sinclair instructed us. "I never thought I'd be so happy to see someone in pain" I joked, causing Raven to laugh. "Ow..." Raven winched as she laughed again. "I could have saved my mom..." Monty whispered. "Hey..." Jasper placed a hand on Monty's shoulder. "Get the hell away from me!" Monty shouted before leaving the room. "Alie knows we're here" Bellamy stated. "We've gotta move" I tell them all. We all begin leaving the house. I see Bellamy waiting outside and I grabbed the cloth out of my pocket, gently grabbing his hand and wrapping where he punched it open. "You'll recover..." I tell him. "Will I?" He asked me. "What do you do when you realize...You might not be the good guy?" Bellamy asked me. I think for a moment "Maybe there are no good guys" I suggested to him before standing on my tip toes and kissing his lips softly. "Come on, we should get going" I tell him as Sinclair gets Raven into the Rover. "Sorry for all the crap I said" Raven apologized. "And for punching me in the face right?" Jasper asked her. "No..." she shakes her head. "You definitely deserved that" she added. I couldn't help but smile as I approached her. "Hey...there's one thing I don't understand" I tell Raven. "Why did Alie want you to kill yourself?" I questioned. She hesitated for a moment "Because I know why she wants that second AI" Raven says. "Why?" Bellamy asked, standing behind me. "It's the only thing that can stop her" Raven informed us. "Then let's stop her" I smirked. They all look at me "We survive together" I tell them all before they all nodded, including Octavia. We then all get into the Rover, knowing today felt like a win in the book.
