Two new crew members

Roxx entered a local tavern with his granddaughter in order to have a meal. He didn't know what kind of trouble is going on near the port. And he was not interested in finding out either.

When they went to one of the common tables where multiple people were eating, suddenly he noticed a massive presence. But the haki of the person was extremely calm that he almost didn't sensed it.

Looking beside Kureha, he found a girl, around 17-18 years old, sitting on the chair.

(AN: Maki is currently 14+ and soon is going to be 15. But for appearance is much older than her actual age. So please don't confuse yourself, with other people's thought.)

Her face and body was full of scars. He suddenly remembered the state of the slaves in the Mariejoice.

He stayed silent as a young girl brought a lot of food for that girl only. As she took their order, Kureha started a conversation with the girl.

Roxx felt sympathetic towards the girl. From her focused eyes, it was clear that her will was still strong.

'She must be someone who has escape from those damned world Nobels.'

But then suddenly he heard the name he has never expected to hear.

"Monkey D. Maki." The name or rather "D" alone sent shivers down his spines.

Looking closely he tensed even more when he noticed her eyes again. Those were the eyes of a predator, a hunter.

He didn't know the exact details but, "D" is considered as the enemy of the 'Gods'. He has not came across many people with that name. But the only one, he has come across, has given the marines a lot of headaches.

"I am travelling to the grandline. And I wanted a few crew members for my caravel."

When Roxx heared this, he couldn't help but ask away.

"Why are you going there ? It is dangerous."

"Who are you ?" The girl named Maki asked him back.

"I am Roxx, Kureha's grandfather." Roxx replied back.

"I want to go to Rusukaina island to train. It was one of the best place to train for the future." Maki replied.

"Train ? For what ?" Kureha asked Maki.

At that time, the waitress came back with a trolley, folding various dishes. After serving a couple of people, she served them and Maki, her food.

"I want to kill a few pigs, who lives in a very high place. But the problem is there are five strong pigs living in that place. And I need to get really strong if I want to kill them." Maki replied without any emotion. Like she was talking about the weather.

But her words sent shivers down the spine of Roxx.

'Pigs ?

High place ?

Are you fucking me ?'

Now, even Roxx was scared. But he asked her anyway.

"World nobles ?"

"Hmmm... You are quick on uptake, old man. I am impressed that you figured it out so quickly.

By the way do you want to join my crew ?"

"By the way do you want to join my crew ?" My question was off handed. When the old man figured out that I was talking about celestial Dragons, I understood that he was someone closely related to the world government. Maybe a retired marine. He was clearly fearful of the idea but not against it.

So I had asked him the question if he wanted to join my crew. But I was fully ready to receive a negative reply. After all no sane person would think about joining a crew, whose Captain is planning to go against the celestial Dragons.

But to my surprise he didn't deny directly.

"We are also looking for a way to go to the grandline. Our destination is drum island. My granddaughter will stay there. If your willing to give us a trip till that, then I am willing to a company you with the rest of your journey." The old man replied.

I was shocked. I didn't know what is going on with them. But the old man sure has some balls.

Kureha looked at her grandfather with concern. But she didn't tell him anything.

Travel to the drum Island in the real world. After that you can travel the rest of the way in the shadow world. They will be helpful in achieving your dream.

I didn't need the system suggestion as I have already made up my mind to travel with them.

"Well then, welcome aboard."

I told him and dig into my food. For the next 10 minutes we ate in silence.

I never thought that I would get to crew members so easily.

After I finished my food, the waitress came back to take away the plates.

"Dear customer please pay, 2750 berries now." After she took away the plates she asked me to pay the bills.

"Add their bills to my tab." I told the waitress pointing at the duo.

"Their total bill is 1300 berries, they you have to pay 4050 berries."

As I handed her over the money, she went away with the plates. Soon Kureha and Roxx finished their meal.

"Well then, we should talk about the supplies and some money. I am planning to leave this Island by tomorrow noon." I told them.

"We are not planning to stay here for long either. We have already booked a room in a local inn. We can go there to talk. " Roxx replied.

But nothing goes smoothly as you plan in this world.

As we left the tavern, and were going towards the inn, the old man suddenly froze in the middle of the street.

But he was not the only one who has frozen in his place.

Another busty woman in marine uniform has also frozen after seeing me.

The haki of the woman felt familiar. Then I remembered. It was the Marine who has came late to our party in the Fagistaa island. The one with the flare flare fruit.
