Beginning of the journey
Roma was patting herself in the back for not peeing in her pants. She always believed in absolute justice. But she was not someone who will ignore the reality. And the reality was a person who can destroy Islands ! Fucking islands in a single attack ! A person for whom the five elders came to a no name government non affiliated Island from the holy lands of Mariejoice, and still failed to kill a capture her, is by any means, an ordinary human.
Roma has already forgotten about ex-vice admiral Roxx who was standing a few metres away from her. Her entire attention was on the girl, she has attacked a few days ago. No she was no girl ! She was a monster.
She was well aware that if she dared to make any move then she will die in an instant. Her Admiral status can go to hell in front of such an enemy. Her entire uniform was already wait from the amount of sweat her body was releasing after seeing her.
Roma refused to look into her eyes because she knew that it won't result in anything good. But she was one of the Admiral for a reason. Even in the face of death, Roma gathered up enough courage to look into the face of the girl in front of her. But the moment she met her eyes, she knew that if she does not run away now then she will become toast.
Forcing her body to move she immediately flew away to the sky. Only after reaching a good distance away from the island shit took a deep breath.
"*Sigh* What a scary monster ? Every moment I felt like I was going to suffocate in front of her. I can't believe such monsters can even exist in this world." Roma muttered under her breath.
(AN: If you are confused then think about, how Saturn froze everyone, just from his presence.
But here Maki was giving of the sigma vibe which means if you mess with her you will die. I will write it about in details in the future. For now just understand that it is not a technique. It is just how she is.)
"I should inform the elders immediately." Roma didn't delay and dialled the number of the room of authority from her den den mushi. The five elders have given her the numbers personally after she became an admiral.
...
"What was that ? That woman ! It looked like she is a marine !" Kureha didn't understood what has happened.
When Roxx got frozen after seeing vice admiral Roma, his mind raced to figure out and way to escape. But after a few seconds, he realised that Roma was sweating hard. And she was not focused at him at all. Instead she was focused on Maki.
For a moment a recent news of the death of an Admiral in the West blue came to his mind. But he quickly dismissed it. More than half of the things printed in the newspaper, that is controlled by the world government, is fake. So he would rather find out on his own, than trust that newspaper.
He got alerted when Roma flew to the sky. But then she disappeared from their views.
"Well, whoever that was, she is gone now. So there is no point and worrying over it. Let's go back to the inn." Maki's voice broke Roxx out of his stupor.
"Oh ! Yes , let's go !"
...
"So, you are a good navigator and a doctor ?" Maki asked the old man.
"Yes, although my navigational skills are not top notch, I believe that, they will be sufficient, if we are sailing in the paradise." Roxx replied.
"Well then, even if, cooking is not my specialty, I can cook pretty well." Kureha said.
"Well cooking is not a problem. I can cook too." Maki continued.
"Our main problem will be funding. I usually hunt down bounties of different pirates and criminals in order to make money. I don't mind killing some pigs and taking their money either. But I doubt they will appear here again."
"I am curious... What are these pigs are you talking about ?" Kureha asked Maki.
"Your grandfather already guessed correctly, weren't you hearing ?" Maki asked her.
"Hmmm... Must have gotten distracted..." Kureha shrugged and looked towards her grandfather.
Roxx swallowed hard.
"Well it seems that each of us, have some secrets. I know that I myself I am not comfortable with sharing them all but, just to build some trust we should share if you things about ourself." Maki started. She wanted to clear things out before setting sail. She knew that they were not CP agents from her haki alone. So, she wanted to make it clear to them.
"I have already told you my real name. Monkey D. Maki. I was a slave in the holy lands of Mariejoice. And my goal is to eradicate those Gods above the red line."
Maki declared.
Kureha gasped while Roxx broke into cold sweat by seeing the eyes of a hunter.
But then, Roxx took a deep breath.
"I am a former vice admiral, Roxx. I have something that the word government wants. And they are ready to go to any length to achieve it. I don't have much time left in my life. So I want to ensure the safety of my granddaughter by taking her to my home Island, drum kingdom." Roxx declared.
"Well, I'm Kureha. And I want to be the greatest doctor in the world." Kureha declared after recovering from her shock.
Maki put her hands forward.
And both Roxx and Kureha shook it.
Instead of the noon, the trio left thriller bark, early in the morning.
They have taken away a few low level pirates in order to cash in their bounties. They were not wanted pirates yet. So, there was no problem in making money from bounties.
Finally with the rising Sun, their voyage began.
