Chapter 13

The applause subsided as Kade stood at the podium, his unsettling smile still in place. The room buzzed with anticipation as the media outlets prepared their questions. Kade scanned the room, his eyes gleaming with amusement and calculated precision.

"Now," Kade announced, his voice carrying effortlessly across the room, "let's answer some questions."

Hands shot up immediately. Kade pointed to a reporter from a well-known hunting magazine. The man stood up, a tablet in his hands.

"Mr. Kade, first of all, congratulations on being the newly recognized S-rank hunter. Can you tell us more about your background? Where did you train to achieve such incredible power?"

Kade's smile widened slightly. "Thank you for the kind words. As for my background, I come from a place where survival is the best teacher. My training wasn't formal—every day was a battle, and every battle was a lesson. I've faced threats that many here might find hard to believe, and those experiences have shaped me into the hunter I am today."

Kade was exaggerating, but not completely lying. His old job from his previous world was not exactly normal. He had to be very careful, as even a wrong glance could kill him. He remembered a bad memory where he had to use Peanut to save him from that skinny lunatic. Even before that, he was on the front line dealing with anomalies, where one mistake could be catastrophic as many of them had the capacity to cause a world-ending event.

(A.N: I know you won't understand the reference, but there will be a chapter explaining his past and Peanut.)

The room murmured with intrigue. Kade pointed to another reporter, a young woman from a popular news network.

"Kade, you've mentioned forming a new guild. Can you share more details about your vision for this guild? What makes it different from the existing ones?"

"Great question," Kade replied smoothly. "My vision for this guild is to create an organization that prioritizes not just strength, but also unity and strategic thinking. Too often, hunters operate in silos, focused solely on their own goals. My guild will foster collaboration, ensuring that our collective efforts make us stronger than any single hunter could ever be. We'll have divisions specializing in research, tactical support, and front-line combat, all working together seamlessly."

A ripple of approval went through the crowd. Kade's idea resonated with many who had seen the pitfalls of fragmented guild operations. He nodded to a reporter from a rival guild's publication.

"Mr. Kade, what do you say to those who doubt your intentions or believe you're using your newfound fame for personal gain?"

Kade's expression remained calm, his eyes almost seeming closed. "Doubt is natural, especially when someone new steps into the spotlight. My intentions will be proven through actions, not words. I've already started making plans to support the hunter community, including initiatives for better training programs and resources for lower-ranked hunters. My goal is to uplift everyone, not just myself," Kade said, not believing his own lies.

The crowd murmured again, this time with approval. The next reporter, a seasoned journalist with a reputation for hard-hitting questions, stood up.

"Kade, can you address the rumors about your combat style? Some say it's…unusual, even unsettling. How do you respond to those criticisms?"

Kade chuckled lightly. "Unusual is often another word for effective. My combat style is a result of my experiences and the necessity to adapt quickly. While it may seem unorthodox, it gets results. In the end, survival and victory are what matter most in a dungeon."

The journalist nodded, seemingly satisfied with the answer. Kade's confidence and clarity left little room for doubt. He then pointed to another reporter, eager to keep the momentum.

"What are your immediate plans following the conference? Will you be taking on any specific challenges to further prove your capabilities?"

Kade leaned forward slightly, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Absolutely. My immediate plan is to tackle an A-rank dungeon, something that will undoubtedly demonstrate my capabilities. After that, I'll be focusing on the recruitment and establishment of my guild's initial structure. There's a lot of work to be done, but I'm here for it."

The room erupted in murmurs of excitement and anticipation. The idea of Kade taking on an A-rank dungeon so soon after being officially ranked was thrilling.

Little did they know that Kade was not just taking on an A-rank dungeon, he was planning on taking it on by himself. How he was going to achieve that, only Kade knew.

Kade, again pointed to another male reporter with great amusement from the questions

"Kade, are you currently dating anyone, if not are you looking for someone and if you are are you considering dating a man?"

"..."

Finally, Go Gun-Hee stepped back to the podium, indicating the end of the Q&A session. "Thank you, everyone, for your questions. We look forward to seeing Kade's continued contributions to our community."

As the crowd began to disperse, many approached Kade, expressing their interest in his guild and offering their support. Kade shook hands, exchanged contact information, and secured promises of future alliances. The conference had been a resounding success, and Kade had firmly established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the hunter world.

Kade walked away from the podium with a leisurely stride, his mind already calculating the next steps. The foundation of his guild was laid, and the path to power and influence was clear. The future was his for the taking, and he intended to seize it with both hands.

As Kade entered the building with Chairman Go, he didn't forget to achieve one of his goals for today.

"Sorry, Chairman, could I talk to you in private?" inquired Kade as he stopped walking and looked at Go Gun-Hee with his unsettling smile.

Seeing Kade's face, Chairman Go immediately had a bad feeling. He could feel a headache coming, and the reason was none other than this newly appointed S-rank.

"Sure, but let's first go to my office. This is not exactly a good place to talk," said Chairman Go before heading toward the elevator.
