A promise before leave

The vacation week went by in the blink of an eye. Suddenly the day I have to return has come. I was feeling nervous about leaving her as I know after I went back things are going to be tough. Specially with the media being on a hasty run to find out about my girl.

We had a busy two days with preparations to leave and set up the final details for the filming. Everything needs to be ready within a week. So as soon as I go I can start work on the new production. Lee had arranged all the media and made sure they won't publish anything about her. Mr.D has prepared to send Joe - the Art director to represent Star Dust and help me with the decision-making. For me this is a challenge and the first time I am doing a big production.

Little Moon has been busy with work the last few days, with a few conceptual designs for the upcoming game. She never lets a beat off when she works. I had made arrangements with Mark and Jane to let me know about everything she does so I can be at ease. Mr.D is going to rest for a few days so I asked them not to bother him unless it's really urgent.

I wanted to spend a few hours alone with Little Moon before I fly. So I arranged a dinner out at the beach home - a secret hideout. I wanted to gift her a special gift I had bought while I was in Europe.

It was hard to persuade her to come out with me. At last, she agreed.

"Little Moon"

"Hmm.."

"You know I am leaving tomorrow right?" I held her hand and asked.

"Yes," She answered looking away.

"I really wish you would come with me, maybe as a vacation, and let my mother take care of you."

"No you know I don't like you to be distracted from the filming." She is stubborn and will stick to the word.

"But I have gotten used to being with you. I will miss you."

She looked at me.

"I promise I will come back to you as soon as the filming is over."

"Hmm"

"Promise me that you will keep in touch."

"Ok, I will."

At last, she smiled.

After dinner, we went for a walk while strolling with the waves hitting our feet. It was a feeling of being with her. I looked at her, as she was gazing at the stars.

"I have a gift for you," I said handing her a closed seashell.

"Open it"

When she opened it, there was the ring I got for her while I was in Europe. It was a rose gold diamond ring. She looked at me surprised. I took the ring out of the seashell.

"Will you promise to be good and wait for me. When the time is right I want the world to know you are my precious Moon. Will you be the keeper of my heart Little Moon?"

She looked at me again and at the ring. She didn't say a word. I was starting to feel worried, maybe I had rushed her. Even though we had known each other for some time, we had really met in person only for a few months.

She suddenly bent down and wrote something in the sand.

"Yes & Thank you."

This was my surprise. I held her tight in a hug for a while. I put the ring on her. And I gave her the ring for me, which she put on my finger. Without her knowing I took a selfie holding her, (only our hands with the rings).

I send this good news to Mr.D, my mother, and Lee. While she's looking I posted the photo in my official Instagram account, with a caption - "A promise of a lifetime."

I really wanted to spend more time with her. But I have a flight to catch in the morning. So we headed back home. I slept with her a while and got up early, taking care not to wake her up. I made her breakfast and hid some surprise gifts in the pantry and in her office. I had bought a big teddy bear, that I let her hold while she's asleep.

We had to leave early to avoid traffic and Ted had promised to take us to the airport. I went to check on Little Moon. She was still asleep. I told others to not to wake her up. It's not easy to part with her but I promise to come back soon. I kissed her forehead and tucked her up tightly. I embraced her tightly for a while to get the sweet fragrance of her. I kept a letter by her bed's side table.

"My Little Moon,"

Me and my mom will be on our way to the airport when you wake up. And I did;'t had the heart to wake you up. I have made breakfast for you and if it's too much share it with Ted when he gets back.

I am going to miss being near you, and working together. I think in the future we will surely work together with your brother D. He is a very talented person who sees the potential in you and he wants you to go places with your creativity. Hope you will share the work with me even it is an ugly sketch.

I have hidden some surprises here and there in your home. You will find them little by little and wear those hats when you walk about the garden, or you'll end up being sunburned. If you are going to the beach house, take Mark and Jane with you. I worry about your safety as I confirmed my relationship with you, you might get some nuisance calls and emails. Just ignore them or let me know if they become worrisome. I want to protect you till the right moment to introduce you to the world as my wife.

Be a good girl and have meals on time and remember to sleep at least six hours a day. I will check on you from time to time. As soon as I come back let's register our marriage. We'll have a party a few months later after we release the drama as a celebration for future creative ventures.
