War III

Within the Stark tower, two overpowered beings faced off against each other with neither of them backing down.

"You know, come to think of it, during one of my travels during exile, I fought someone who had powers like you. What was his name again?" Loki thought as he said mockingly.

The gigantic snake behind him made hissing sounds, as it's venomous eyes glared murderously at Duke.

Duke however stood there calmly. His anger bubbled within him, like volcano ready to erupt, as the Speed Force energy within his body continually circulated.

Leaning his body forward, he began to gather momentum, as the ground beneath his feet cracked, accompanied by flashes of lightning. "Go!" Loki calmly stated, as the huge serpent rushed towards Duke and opened its huge mouth, wanting to swallow him.

"Boommm!! Duke instantly blasted forward the moment the huge snake was near him, as he clenched his fist, covered it with lightning and smashed it into the huge beast, causing a massive lightning wave which shook the Stark Tower.

The huge snake as well as Loki were sent crashing into multiple walls of the building before they were hurled out and fell to the ground, creating a massive crater.

Before Loki could cast another technique, Duke appeared in front of him in a burst of lightning, as he grabbed him by the hair and blasted away with him. "Bang! Bang! Bang!" Duke repeatedly smashed Loki's face into several buildings, doubling the force and momentum with each attack, as he circled around the city.

"Bang!" With a massive spinning heel kick to Loki's now fractured jaw, he was sent flying as he crashed into a nearby building.

Before he could even react, a massive bolt of reddish gold lightning smashed into his body, hurling him out of the building as he crashed into several walls, before he smashed into the ground.

"Crack!" "Hahahaha!" Sitting up, Loki popped his jaw back into its position as he laughed hysterically.

His whole face was bloodied, and his body was riddled with severe burns. Some joints and bones bent at an unnatural angle, and all this had happened with the span of a few seconds. He hadn't even really cast any powerful spell or use any of his strongest attacks. A few seconds, that was the amount of time his opponent needed to completely decimate him.

At this point, the only thing he could do was laugh. He laughed at his own weakness, and the unfair balance of the universe.

"Uuhhh guys, I think you guys should check on speedy. I think he wants to kill Loki." Stark who was flying towards a ballistic missile said, after using a few seconds to review images from the Stark tower.

Thor instantly frowned, as he twirled his hammer and took off into the sky, as the rest of the avengers rushed towards them.

"You'll pay for what you did to my family. Bang!!" Duke appeared a few meters in front of a kneeling Loki before he said with a calm voice. He immediately crossed the space between them in a split second, as he unleashed a left hook unto Loki's jaw, his fist covered by lightning, before a nasty right hook, and a spinning back kick.

Loki was sent flying, however, before he could even smash into the ground, Duke appeared before him, grabbed his right arm and ripped it off, before shoving it into his shoulder, pinning him into a wall, as blood spilled all over.

"Aarrghh!!" Loki screamed out in pain a few seconds later as is body convulsed and shook in enormous pain.

"Loki!!!" Thor crashed through the roof, as he appeared inside the building along with the other avengers namely; Cap, Nat and Clint who were nearby.

Seeing Loki screaming and flailing his legs on the wall, Thor turned around to Duke who was staring at him, before he dropped his hammer and executed a full 90 degree bow.

"Thank you for not taking his life. I Thor Odinson, will forever be in your debt." He spoke solemnly, before he raised his head and smiled.

"Thor you can handle Loki from here, the rest of us will end the battle." Cap said, as he patted Duke's shoulder.

"Can you take us back to the main battlefield?" Cap asked as Duke nodded and smiled. "Place your hands on my shoulders. You let go, you die." Duke said, as Cap and Clint placed their hands on his shoulders solemnly, before he grabbed Natasha by the waist.

Instantly, lightning streaks began to coil around their bodies, as Clint's eyes widened in shock. "Wha-" Before he could complete his words, they were already back where they were all standing from before.

"-the hell?" Clint finished his statement, as he looked around in surprise and began to feel mild nausea.

"What do we do now?" Natasha asked as she spotted hordes of Chitauri soldiers gaining on their position.

"I'll handle it. You guys go to Stark tower. The machine that's powering up the wormhole is there along the uhhh Tesseract. Once you shut it down, it's game over." Duke retracted his helmet and spoke to them.

"You sure about that? There's like thousands of them coming, along with those large beast thingeys." Clint said, however the moment he finished his words, a large figure crashed into the ground before them and grunted.

"I'll handle it with the big guy." Duke pointed at Hulk, as he smiled.

"Take care." Nat patted his shoulder and left with the others.

"Okay, let's do this." "Roar!!!" Lightning flashed around his body, as Duke leaned forward. The Hulk also roared out in anger, ready to smash. "Boom!!!" The next second, both of them blasted forward towards the hordes of Chitauri soldiers. A hulking monster and a reddish gold lightning streak. They both jumped into the sky; Duke summoned dozens of lightning bolts and covered himself with it, before dropping down like a nuclear warhead, as the Hulk smashed his huge fists downwards.

"Boom!!!" A huge explosion set off, along with a massive lightning wave and a massive earthquake.

"Shit! What the hell is with those two." Clint roared out, after hearing the massive boom in the distance. The three of them couldn't help but turn back and stare at the massive wave that was spreading outwards.

"Hey uhh Cap, we saw what speedy did to Loki right? What would happen if he fought with the Hulk?" Clint asked as a trickle of sweat flowed down his cheek. "It'll be the end of the world." Cap chuckled, as he turned around and left with Nat.
