War IV

"Cap we saw what speedy did to Loki right? What will happen if he fought with the Hulk?" Clint asked as he stared at the massive shockwave.

"It'll be the end of the world." Cap said and patted his shoulder, and left with Nat, as a bead of sweat trickled down Clint's cheek.

"Bang! Bang!" Duke and the Hulk were on a literal rampage. The Hulk roared, as he rushed forward like a savage beast, and punched a massive leviathan, as it collapsed and exploded from a single punch.

Duke was moving at hypersonic speed, as lightning flooded the entire area. He didn't even need to punch or kick the Chitauri soldiers. He could cause them to explode, by just running into the them.

Even still, more and more hordes were ambushing him. He raised both of his hands coated with condensed amount of lightning, before smashing them into the ground.

"Tssssst!! Bang!" Instantly, massive streaks of lightning spread all over the ground like huge snakes with his body as center, as every single Chitauri within a 1km radius was exploded by the intense power of the lightning.

"Hahahaha! Show them that might of thunder!!" Suddenly he heard a loud voice accompanied by a loud burst of thunder, as Thor jumped from a high building, raised his hammer in the air and summoned a large bolt of lightning which he directed towards the large leviathan a few meters from Duke.

"Boom!" It exploded, as chunks of metals and meat flew all around. "This guy is a show off. " Duke chuckled and spotted another Leviathan a few meters away that was rushing towards him. He instantly leaned forward and blasted forth, causing a missive sonic boom, as he appeared before it in a split second and entered its huge mouth.

"Boommm!!" The next second, a number of explosions set off within the body of the leviathan, as an enormous lightning bolt burst out from within its body, as Duke appeared.

"Yeahhh!!!!" Within the SHIELD helicarrier, the agents of Shield were jubilating in victory. Duke had singlehandedly changed the tides of the battle and tipped it in their favor. However, Nick Fury had no smile on his face, in fact, he looked worried. Although the Avengers had done their very best, the earth wasn't ready for another war on such a scale and he knew it.

"Come in Duke. There's a massive force field around the machine powering up the wormhole. We can't even get close to it, let alone destroy it." Cap attacked the huge forcefield with his shield, before tapping his earpiece and saying.

"We gotta find a way to shut it down, else a negative charge is going to build up, and create a singularity." Suddenly, a voice which had gone missing for a few minutes sounded out, as Tony Stark appeared, holding unto a large mission on his back.

"Where the hell have you been Stark?" Cap asked. "Uhhh, intercepting a missile. You're welcome." Stark said.

"What happens when negative charge builds up?" Nat asked, with a frown. "It's going to create a singularity." Duke chipped in. "You mean like a black hole?" Clint asked.

"Exactly. And you guys need to find Loki's spear. There are traces of the Tesseract's energy signature on it. You can use that to tear through the forcefield." Duke said.

"Where do we start looking?" Nat asked.

"I know where it is." Duke spoke as he blasted away from the current battlefield, and rushed back to the place where he had beat up Loki.

"I found it." He immediately picked up the spear which apparently Loki seemed to have forgot, as he zoomed away towards Cap and the rest.

"Here." He tossed it towards Cap before zooming back to the battlefield.

"Alright Cap, you gotta shut it down on my mark!" Stark said, as he finally appeared, flying at his top speed, while carrying a large missile on his back.

"One....." He instantly flew into the wormhole, as he entered outer space. "What the hell?" He saw a huge spaceship in tbt distance, and more and more chitauri soldiers flying towards the wormhole, as he hurled the missile towards them.

"Boom!" A huge explosion set off, as Stark fell back. "Now Cap!!" He roared out, as Cap grunted and thrust the sharp tip of the spear forward, before tearing a large hole in it.

The next second, he finally got access to the machine, as he bashed it with his shield several times, completely destroying it. Suddenly, the wormhole closed, as they saw a figure falling from the sky.

Thor whirled his hammer, before he blasted into the sky and caught Stark's body, before landing next to the others.

"We did it." Nat smiled, as Tony finally opened his eyes and let out a small smile. Duke also appeared, as he sat on a rock and heaved a sigh of relief.

"I need a cheeseburger." Stark said as Duke nodded. However, just as they were celebrating, the sky suddenly shook, as a massive tear opened up in space.

"What the hell is going on?" The entire team looked on with weary gazes, as they saw the mysterious dark round tear began to revolve. Instantly, a massive suction power opened up, as everything began to move towards the tear in space. From buildings to cars to even the roads. It was as if a massive gravitational force was pulling everything towards itself.

"Oh no." Stark said, as he looked at the huge phenomenon in the sky. "What the hell is that?" Nat screamed, as she felt a massive pull on her body, but she grabbed unto a metal pole behind her.

"Stark! How do we stop it?" Cap roared, before hanging unto the metal pole as well.

"Uhhh, the black hole is made from the negative energy that built up and was attracted into the wormhole. If we can generate enough positive energy to cancel out the negative, we should be able to resolve it." Stark said, as he grabbed onto a metal rail with all of his strength.

"And how are we going to do that?" Clint asked, as he hang unto another rail for his dear life. "I think I can do it." Duke thought for a moment and said, as the others turned around and looked at him. He was the only one, apart from Thor who wasn't really bothered by the enormous suction force from the singularity.

"The speed force is a positive energy source. If I can go fast enough, I can siphon off enough energy to generate enough positive charge to neutralize the singularity." Duke said with a sigh.

"That means you'll have to go even faster than you'll ever have." They looked at him with hope filled eyes.

"But if you siphon enough energy and your body can't handle it, you'll die." Stark said.

"Maybe. Maybe not." Duke chuckled, as he stretched his legs.

"You're crazy speedy. You're officially my favorite teammate." Both Stark and Clint said at the same time.

Smiling, Duke leaned forward, and readied himself, as he pressed the button on his neck, and his helmet appeared. "Booomm!!"

Instantly, he began to circulate his speed Force energy within his body, as he blasted off the top of the Stark tower, and headed towards the black hole in the sky.

He then run atop a huge building, that was literally about to be uprooted from the ground, gathered enough momentum and blasted off with a sonic wave, which shook the building.

He used the solid objects which were being pulled into the black hole as footstools, as he continued to zoom toward the black hole.

Upon reaching the edge of the black hole, he once more stepped on the solid objects which had formed a circular ring around the singularity, before he began to increase his speed.

"Gotta go faster. Faster than I've ever gone!" Duke closed his eyes for a brief micro second, before opening them. Instantly, a massive wave of lighting burst out of his body, as more streaks of reddish gold lightning began to emit from his body. He ran in an opposite direction parallel to the center of mass of the black hole.

The others watched on in shock, surprise and a bit of fear. They could only see a reddish gold ring forming around the black hole. "This kid. He's literally battling a black hole." Cap steadied himself, as he felt the suction force from the black hole reduce a bit.

"Jarvis, how fast is the kid going?" Stark asked. "Sir, I can't seem to calculate. The gravitational forces from the black hole are disrupting my sensors." Jarvis said, as Tony nodded. "Come on kid, come on." Tony said with fear in his eyes.

Back at the SHEILD Helicarrier, every single agent looked on in much fear. They knew what could happen if the reddish gold lightning streak failed to close the huge hole in the sky. Some silently offered prayers, as Nick Fury had taken off his overcoat, staring at the screen with his eyes without blinking.

"Uggh!!" Duke roared out in pain. He was now moving at speeds many times faster than he was before. The energy building up and being discharged to neutralize the black hole was too much for his body to handle.

"Haarrghh!!" He roared out, with his mouth full of blood, as he accelerated far beyond his normal speed. The next second, a massive shockwave appeared, as the color of his lightning instantly changed from reddish gold to blue within a split second.

Not even realizing that he had shattered his own limit, he continued running in the opposite direction of the point of circulation of the black hole, as more and more energy kept getting siphoned off his body.

His bones creaked, blood vessels broke, and muscles slit, however his body was in a state of destruction and regeneration, which to be honest did not feel pleasant at all.

The next second, everyone saw the massive black hole begin to shrink, as the gravitational suction force instantly disappeared. "He did it!" The avengers looked on, seeing the blue lightning streak still running around that small dark circular ball in space.

In a split second, the dark orb exploded, as massive shockwave erupted, creating fierce winds that blew everything away.

"Holy shit!!" Nick Fury rubbed his head with his palm as he sat on his seat and heaved multiple relieved sighs.

"Where is he?" Nat asked as she saw no signs of his body around.

"Jarvis locate him." Tony said, as he got up and powered up his suit. "Right away Sir." The AI replied.
