Some small: Don't worry I haven't abandoned this book. I was just updating my other book since I was thinking about the next arc for this book.
**** Next day to when kar-el got dumped in an alley.
"My king" Both men and women bowed when T'challa and his father entered the room.
King T'chaka nodded his head so that his people could relax and rise once again.
T'challa always admired his father. He was kind and well-respected by all the people in their kingdom. He dreaded the day when he had to take the throne from him. Would he be as capable as his father? Would be able to receive the love of his people once he took the throne?
These thoughts always plagued him and even though his father claimed that he would be a wonderful king, his worries didn't stop.
"What have you found?"King T'chaka asked the chief scientist as they walked away from the crowd so they could do their work without worrying about how they looked in front of their king.
"At the moment, not much in my opinion." The man replied while pressing his lips together to convey his dissatisfaction.
"But it is clear that whatever it is made up of must be in dire quantities in the whole universe."
King T'chaka hummed to indicate that he was listening while T'challa asked a question.
"And why is that? I mean, why are you so sure about that?" He looked at his father and when he didn't indicate any dissatisfaction over him including himself in the conversation, he released a sigh.
"Yes, my prince. I'm sure you are well aware of the capabilities of vibranium, right?"
T'challa nodded.
"As you are aware my prince, vibranium outcasts all other known metal in durability and properties while retaining relatively lightweight which is impressive, to say the least. Do you know how elements are created, my prince?"
"Sure, they are created in the core of stars or when two of more massive gravitational objects interact. The higher the element is in the periodic table, the greater impact it needs during creation."
"Yes, the process of fusion. Vibranium is so low in quantity because it likely needed a collision between two supremely massive black holes whose size we can't even estimate correctly. We don't have that many 0s in our maths yet." The scientist mockingly laughed. The King smirked a bit.
"My point is if vibranium needs such a massive event to get created, how big event does it require to create an element that could level a mountain of Vibranium like how a hot knife does to a butter."
"As you might have guessed, such events likely don't happen more than once in the whole universe. Yes, during the birth of our universe."
T'challa couldn't help but ask," So we were interacting with something that existed from the birth of the universe?"
This time his baba replied," No my son, even worse."
"What fell in our territory was a weapon, not just a piece of Meteoroid. Do you know what
that means?" He asked his son but then replied himself.
"We are dealing with someone that could turn such an element into a weapon." He spoke gravely.
Alien life? He believed in the notion that they were not alone in this world but now that it finally got proved, he was uncertain about what to make of it.
His father continued, " As the man just said, the element is rare to the point we can't think of. Whoever is that dropped it here would likely visit us to retrieve it. Or worse, the others that set their eyes on it would flock on us like vultures if they become aware of its location."
"Is that why you raised all the alarms?" T'challa asked being aware that his father ordered all the troops to stay prepared all the time.
"Yes, there is a possibility that the visitors would not come in good faith. Wakanda must be prepared to fight for itself so that our people remain safe."
"Continue your report." T'chaka nodded to the man.
"Yes, my king. We couldn't tear the weapon apart from the mountain so we have decided to remove it with some of the vibranium still attach to it."
"It appears to be a scythe, not sure if it could fire some type of energy rays but there were some unknown encryptions on it that seemed to be highly advanced."
"It might take a lot of time to decipher it."
"Fine, you are allowed to study it but make sure to be careful with it. I don't want any of you dead just because you got too curious for your own good."
"Understood, I will keep that in mind." The man bowed once before taking his leave.
T'challa asked his father once the man exited the balcony," What now, baba?"
"Now? Now we hope that we don't have to fight a war against something unknown." The king looked at the horizon.
"Where is your mother?" T'chaka asked after some silence between them.
"She had been busy with her precious daughter nowadays." T'challa smiled slightly remembering his baby sister's face in his mother's embrace.
***Present time, beside Kar-el
"What do you think?" Kar-el asked while stepping aside a little bit.
"Doable for now though way low from my expectations," Serena replied as she started to connect the Android with her server through a cyber link.
"Hmm." She remarked as she moved her hand before her eyes.
"You certainly fill all the criteria we needed," Kar-el remarked while looking at her.
Glossy black hair and blue eyes with rosy lips and a small nose. Height 5'8 and a perfect slim body.
He based her looks on how Jennifer Connelly used to look during the 1980s in his old world.
"Did you find our target?"
"Yeah, it was a little troublesome since you had a very specific requirement but I already have him on my radar," Serena remarked as she took a seat in front of him and got used to utilizing objects from her temporary body.
"A male in industrial business who tended to sleep with any woman that he finds beautiful and less powerful than him. Name Harvey Gibson, age: 45. Owns factories that make things from cars to electronic devices like refrigerators. A medium businessman in his industry and not worth much attention from the perspective of secret agencies."
"When are we getting acquainted with the gentleman then?" Kar-el remarked while playing with pen-like memory manipulative device.
"He would likely be in New York to attend a party hosted by his friend in a few days." Serena checked her data before replying.
"Great then, get used to your new body, and then we will make our move. It's about time Mr. Harvey's business empire become one of the major players on the global economy." Kar-el finished his drink before getting up and leaving.
Serena looked at the empty glass on the table before sighing.
"Idiot overload always trying to order me around. Just wait until I get back to you. I will make you pay for this." She grumbled disheartened. She vowed to make him treat like a princess for every favor he needed from her once she ruled the economy with her business empire.
