New Possibilities

It's the day of the festival. While everyone is excited for the event I'm more excited for the food.

I'm currently running around to different stands buying as much food as I can. I'm honestly surprised at how much I can eat. I think it has something to do with my body being from One Piece. Or maybe something to do with my race.

I'm not sure if the vendors are happy or mad that I'm buying them out of every single price of food they have.

I'm also pretty sure I scared a bunch of people. Maybe it has something to do with a nearly nine foot tall woman dashing to stand to stand.

I'm currently giving a bunch of children rides. Until I hear the bell signalling that the event is about to start.

Putting down the kids I give a short goodbye and head to the waiting room.

As were sitting in the waiting room everyone is chatting while I'm sitting in a corner eating my food.

I can't believe they made me wear this dumb tracksuit. I told them that my clothes wouldn't give me any advantage but no. "We don't want to start a controversy" they say.

As I'm eating away my sorrows, Todoroki approached Midoriya… menacingly.

"Objectively speaking I'm stronger than you."

"Y-yeah."

"All Might seems to have put his sights on you. I won't pry but I will beat you."

"Woah man this is supposed to be for fun," Kirishima tries to interject but he gets brushed off.

"You're right… Objectively speaking you are stronger than me." Midoriya responds

"No need to be so negat-" Kirishima gets cut off

"But, everyone is trying their hardest to get first and I'm not going to lag behind. I will try my best to win as well!" Midoriya says with a determined face.

That's such a protagonist thing to say, it's really weird hearing it in real life

Todoroki turns to me

"You're strong, maybe stronger than everyone here. But I will defeat you as well."

I give an unconvinced look, "Whatever you say, man." I go back to enjoying my many festival snacks.

After a little while, we hear the ring signaling that the festival has begun.

Heading to the door Kaminari Questions me, "Are you even allowed to bring snacks with you?"

I point at Sato, "He's got his sugar cubes so I don't see why I can't have my food, plus it's not like a care if I'm breaking any rules."

"O-oh."

Reaching the opening we walk out into the stadium.

"WELCOME EVERYBODY!!!! TO THE U.A SPORTS FESTIVAL WHERE FLEDGLING HEROES WILL AIM FOR EACH OTHER'S THROATS TO REACH THE TOP!!!!"

"HERE COMES THE CLASS THAT RECENTLY WENT THROUGH A VILLAIN ATTACK!!!! THE HEROIC DEPARTMENT CLASS 1-A!!!!!!!!!!"

"AND THE FOLLOWING CLASSES…" [A/n: Too much listing.]

I see the other students look visibly irritated at this obvious favoritism

Midnight appears on the stage. Causing the majority of the boys to bleed out.

"Eh? The 18+ Hero Midnight? Isnt this a high scho-"

Midnight cracks her whip, "SILENCE!"

"NOW THAT EVERYONE IS HERE LETS GET STARTED WITH AN OPENING SPEECH!!!! PLEASE WELCOME YAMATO FROM CLASS 1-A!" She yells out.

…

What?

I look up at the announcer's stand and the confusion visible on my face. Present Mic just motions for me to move up to the stadium While Aizawa doesn't spare me a glance.

Sighing, I walk onto the stage and say quite possibly the best speech ever said, "Uh let's have fun. Well… you might not have fun since I'm going to win every round. But uh, try your best." I give a signature thumbs up courtesy of All Might.

The crowd and students burst into outrage.

"Don't be so arrogant!"

"Just because you were present at a villain attack doesn't mean you can be so conceited!"

Ignoring all the bo- cheering I go back to my classmates. Bakugou's seething and Todoroki's face got ten times colder and Midoriya looks like he's about to piss his pants. Quite the amusing site.

"Alright, It's time for the preliminary round!" Midnight shouts out,

"Beware this round causes many students to go home choking on their tears. This year's round will be…"

"AN OBSTACLE COURSE!!"

Now that I think about it this is quite the unfair starting round to students with non physical Quirks. But it's more interesting to the audience… suspicious.

Were led to the beginning of the race and all of us are crowded together. Waiting for the start signal.

"ARE YOU READY EVERYBODY!?!?!??" Present mic shouts.

"3! 2! 1! GOGOGOOO!!!!!"

Everyone starts pushing on me.

Then my feet get frozen along with everyone else. I look over to see Todoroki sliding on ice.

Some Class 1-a rushes after him shouting "YOU WON'T GET AWAY THE EASILY!"

Yeesh, so dramatic. I focus Ryou onto my feet, shattering the ice. Surprising a few people besides me. I knew the ice was coming but it wasn't a big deal to get out of.

Bending down into a running position as I'm readying myself I hear a crash.

Todoroki probably froze them robots.

"1-A's TODOROKI FROZE THE ROBOTS HAVING THEM FALL OVER AND CUT OFF THE OTHERS!! HOW HARSH!!"

"His actions were perfectly logical,"

Yup.

I extend my Observation Haki and realize I'm the only free person still not moving.

Ooh a classic underdog story, let's just ignore Midoriya.

Alright let's get moving.

I dash off at extreme speeds destroying a few zero pointers in the process.

"WHAT'S THIS? YAMATO FROM CLASS 1-A IS QUICKLY GAINING THE LEAD!!!"

Is this what the flash feels like? I'm about to take first place but I hear some screaming coming from behind me. Focusing on my ears with Observation Haki I hear screaming.

"DON'T YOU THINK YOU'LL LEAVE ME BEHIND!!!!!!"

Yep, that's Bakugou alright.

I caught up with Todoroki.

"Oh hey, Todoroki, what was that about beating me?" I mock

He obviously gets angry and tries to freeze my legs but I jump over and hit him with a little Conqueror's Haki making him stagger. Which makes me gain the lead.

"YAMATO IS IN FIRST PLACE!!!"

"THE SECOND OBSTACLE THE FALL!!!"

Dang this thing is huge. I'm going to try something I've really wanted to test for a while.

I start running faster and faster as I approach the edge. ONce I'm there a jump… and fall

OH GOD OH GOD.

BUt then it clicks and I start jumping through the air.

I DID IT! I'M USING GEPPO [A/n: MOONWALK]

As I'm jumping to the other side of the basin I look up to see the shocked faces of Aizawa and Yamada. Heh, satisfying.

"WHAT!?! YAMATO IS JUMPING THROUGH THE AIR!!!!"

Yamada covers the announcer's mic.

"Shota did we know that she could do this?" He asks seriously

"We did not. Just when we thought we figured her Quirk out she displays something extraordinary. I need to contact Nezu." Aizawa says standing up.

"Alright it's not like anyone will notice you're gone,"

The fact that I can use Geppo, one of the Rokushiko, opens up so many possibilities. Is it possible that I could use King Punch? I don't exactly know why I can use these but my theory is that since I got a One Piece related body and power it caused me to develop like I would in the one piece world while actually being in the MHA world. It might also be because of the shrinking ability I was given. The shrinking may actually be Kami-e in disguise. And since I have that it would allow me to use the other Rokushiko.

But nevermind that, I need to figure out how to use Soru [Shave] and Shigan [Finger Pistol]

I'm now jumping through the minefield air. Looking back I see Todoroki and Bakugoug giving me a death glare. Using Observation Haki I see that Midoriya is about to jump on the mines.

I better win now.

Picking up the pace I reach just before the entrance to the stadium and wait for the rest to come. They have to see me crushing their hopes or it's no fun.

I hear an explosion.

"CLASS 1-A'S MIDORIYA IS IN HOT PURSUIT!! HE'S IN THE LEAD!!"

Does Yamada need glasses? I'm standing right in front of the line! I'll let it slide since I did get in here at the same time as that distracting explosion as well as this being a tunnel but he should be shamed as an announcer.

I watch as Midoriya uses Bakugou and Todoroki as footstools to regain speed.

"YOUR STUDENTS ARE INSANE! WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING THEM ERASERHEAD?"

"I'm not teaching them anything special. They just went and got fired up on their own."

As I'm leaning against the wall I see Midoriya looking like he's running from a serial killer. Well… the two behind him do kind of the 'I'm going to kill you' look."

"Yo, Midoriya! You made it this far without breaking your body! You did good but I'm taking the win. You can have second place though."

I walk out into the stadium.

"AND THE WINNER IS… YAMATO!?"

…

"I've been here the whole time, I just did not walk out yet." I yell out.

"OH. GIVE IT UP FOR YAMATO FOR REACHING FIRST PLACE!!!!!"

The crowd shrugging off their confusion goes wild with cheering.

Bakugou is fuming while Todoroki is silent but I can tell he's mad that he lost.

"THe first game of the first-year stage is over. Here are the results," Midnight announces

[A/n: Go look up the leaderboard and knock off the naval lazer guy.]

"Now for the second round. This is where the competition really starts." The screen starts spinning like a lottery maching.

That reminds me of something…

"The second round will be… CAVALRY BATTLE!!" Midnight says.

"It is essentially a regular cavalry battle but you are assigned points based on your placing in the last round."

Class 1-A Starts talking amongst themselves, "BE QUIET WHEN I'M TALKING" Midnight shouts.

"Ahem, that's right the points will be going up from five starting at the bottom… But first place will be worth ten million points!"

Everyone starts looking at me ominously. Though I don't really care, what are they gonna do? Hurt me?

Midnight explains the rules. "You have fifteen minutes to find a team. Start!"

Who am I supposed to have on my team? Everyone else is already forming their canon teams.

Oh? Shinso and his brainwashed lackeys are approaching me.

"Join my team."

"Sure" My brain fogs over.

This is a rather interesting feeling but… I activate my Haki forcing his Quirks effect to deactivate.

He goes wide eyed, "W-what!?"

"Jeez, I said sure, no need to use your Quirk."

"I'll join your team so don't worry we're going to win."

"How can you be so sure?"

"I'm stronger than everyone else."

"Arlight the second round is about to begin!" Announces Midnight

"Get on my back I'll carry these two."

I bend down so Shinso can climb onto my back. And pick up Ojiro and the short grey haired kid each in one arm.

"START!"

Everyone charges at us, but that's nothing a little Conqueror's Haki couldn't fix. Activating enough to momentarily stun them I take off for the skies with Geppo.

"Is that even allowed!?" one of the students called out.

"It is." Midnight replies.

We've been in the air for quite a while and I sense something coming in hot. Dashing to the side, Attempting to use Soru but failing, I see that it was Bakugou charging at us.

Jumping to him I give him an axe kick sending him back to earth.

Looking down it seems that Bakugou has given up and everyone is going after Midoriya for the second place headband.

Things play out relatively like canon.

"TIMES UP!"

"NOW LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT OUR TOP TEAMS!!"

"What did I tell you?" I let Shinso down and drop the other two, shaking them from their dazed state.

[A/n: same but team Shinso is first.]

"WE WILL TAKE A SHORT BREAK BEFORE THE FINAL ROUND!"

Finally I can get more snacks.

Finally finished the first part of the sports festival. I got lazy at the cavalry battle but I really just wanted to finish.

I haven't forgotten that she said she was only going to use Conqueror's Haki. But… maybe if she's prompted to take a certain fight seriously she might use others.

I would have finished this chapter yesterday but yours truly, loves to do his essays at the last minute even when given two weeks to prepare.

I finally have some motivation so expect Matter Manipulation some time soon. (I'm serious this time)

Also we're probably gonna reach 100 power stones soon. I really didn't expect that many people to like the story. This was originally going to be a joke fanfic. But since it's well received I'll try to make it as enjoyable as I can. ಠ﹏ಠ
