Gudnite Like Yesterday

Jessica rushed down the stairs and approached Rey who was sitting relaxed in the living room while playing games. The girl sat next to Rey and watched her fiancé closely.

"Rey, let's get out!" said Jessica slowly.

Rey who heard Jessica's invitation glanced briefly without answering.

"It's weekend, Rey!" said Jessica, pursing her lips.

"Tomorrow, okay?"

Jessica immediately took a deep breath, then leaned her back on the sofa. The girl's eyes were still glued to the figure of Rey beside her.

Rey, is a man with a handsome face, athletic body, has a brilliant career, and has a very cold character.

They were betrothed by their parents since they were 8 years old. Until finally, when they were 20 years old, they were officially engaged.

When their parents forced them to live with Rey's grandmother in Bali-Indonesia, they refused. They asked to be allowed to live in one of the share houses not far from where Rey worked.

After a long debate, finally, both sides of the family agreed to Jessica and Rey's request. Their parents are very worried about their relationship. They are afraid that one day, Rey or Jessica, will be attracted to someone else, and decide their matchmaking.

Although their worries were quite reasonable, Jessica felt that it was unnecessary because, ever since they were betrothed, Jessica's parents had always taught the girl to be a respectable woman who was only loyal to one man. Not only that, they always teach Jessica about many things related to Rey. Like, what Rey likes or doesn't like, what Rey can and can't eat, and many more.

"Rey, you're going to drop me off, right?"

Jessica immediately froze when she heard Lusi, one of the residents in the share house, calling Rey's name.

'So, take her? Since when did they get along? I've never seen them talk before.' Jessica was immediately busy with her thoughts.

"Of course," said Rey briefly.

Wait, what?

Jessica glanced briefly at Rey, who happened to be glancing at her too.

Jessica thought, the man would say something, apologize or something?!

If his partner prefers to go out with someone else, doesn't she have every right to be angry?

Angry? No, getting angry will only make their relationship exposed later.

"I'm going! No need to wait for me, if you're sleepy, just sleep!" said Rey to Jessica, then followed Lusi out of the house.

And Jessica? She couldn't help but smile sadly at the sight of the man's back which was getting further away.

The girl took a deep breath.

"Hey, Jessica! We're going for a walk, are you coming?"

Jessica jumped in surprise when a hand gently tapped her shoulder.

"Are you surprised? Oh, wait! Are you daydreaming? You can't do this, you have to come with us now! Instead of staying here, daydream! Come on!"

Before the girl could answer, William and Kevin had already lifted her tiny body and half dragged her out of the house.

There are at least six residents in this shared house, and they are one of them.

William works in the same company as Rey, while Kevin is still in college.

Jessica just gave up when the two of them pushed her into William's car.

"While your bodyguard is on a date with Lusi, we will kidnap you! It's rare, don't you go outside besides work?" William said as he drove his car out of the gate.

Jessica only smiled faintly in response to William's words.

It's very sad. Everyone in the share house thought that Rey was her best friend who doubled as a bodyguard because Rey was very fierce, especially if a man approached Jessica.

"Where are we going?" asked Jessica trying to divert the conversation.

"How about watching a movie?" William said, glancing at Jessica.

"Don't! That's a movie theater full of people going out, Man! My single soul is struggling, you know! Just eat, then!" said Kevin.

"Eat at a Korean restaurant, let's go!" exclaimed the girl enthusiastically. Because indeed, Jessica's original goal of taking Rey away was to eat at a Korean restaurant.

"Yes, who knows the waiter is pretty enough, as a Korean girl!" added Kevin.

William could only take a deep breath while glancing at Kevin. He then drove his car to one of the most famous Korean restaurants in Jakarta.

After entering and eating their heart's content, they went around the city of Jakarta and bought some roasted corn, after that they went home because it was nearing midnight.

Jessica was carrying her sandals when she was going to pass Rey's room, so she wouldn't find out that she was out this late, or the man would be very angry later.

However, as the girl passed Rey's room, she heard a sound that was quite strange to her. Kissing sound? Moans? Or what?

Jessica was not sure what sound she heard, that's why she approached the door and pushed the door slightly to confirm what sound she heard earlier.

The girl froze on the spot. Her chest felt tight and her eyes burned. It didn't take long for the tears to fall down her cheeks.

How should she describe her feelings? When someone she trusted betrayed her.

Rey passionately pressed Lusi's lips until the girl moaned softly. And that disgusted Jessica.

How can Rey touch another girl, when there is Jessica, his fiancé?

How could Rey do that when he knew that Jessica trusted him so much?

As long as they were together, Rey had never once touched Jessica, not even just holding hands, they never.

Jessica thought, maybe Rey respected her so much, took care of her, and waited for the right time. But now, she knew a more precise reason.

Rey never wanted it.

Jessica closed her eyes because she could no longer see what they were doing in there. With all her strength, she pulled her leg to step back and left Rey's room.

The girl sat limply on the floor of her room. Her heart continued to beat in pain and her head felt heavy. There are so many questions swirling in there, right now.

Why would Rey do this to her? Is she not pretty? Not Sexy? Or, what?

So far, Jessica has always tried to be a good future wife for him. She always tries to make Rey feel comfortable, happy.

But what is this?

Isn't it true that if Rey didn't like her, didn't want her, he just had to tell the truth!

What does he want? Why did he do this?

Jessica tried to stand up and grabbed her bed. She lay down on the bed and closed her eyes tightly.

What should she do? She loves Rey very much, but she also doesn't want to marry someone who doesn't love her.

Should she ask Rey? Should she ask the man for his opinion on how they should proceed with their relationship?

It's too painful for the girl.

Jessica shook her head weakly, trying to get rid of all the bad prejudice against Rey.

All right, stop thinking about it and go to sleep. Jessica is too tired to think, her mind is too weak to try to be strong. The only thing she could do right now was sleep, and leave all the pain behind for a while.

Maybe everything will go back to the way it was tomorrow, everything will be fine.
