UA Recommendation Exam

3 years later-----------------

In the past 3 years, many things happened like John and George started living on I-island as researchers. For John, it was a dream come true. George joined the same project as John's assistant. Sally planned many parties on I-island as was like a celebrity. After some convincing from David and James, she agreed to live with John and George on I-island. George and Renji's daughter Kana started dating to which both families felt no need to interfere. David and James had no problem living together.

James got into UA and was classmates with Mirio and Nejire. David never met them but he knew Nejire and James had started dating. David warned James not to run his mouth about him in front of his friends.

David thought about meeting Deku once but then he thought that if ALL Might's successor isn't strong enough it could work in favor of David. David could use his Rewind quirk and bring ALL Might back to his prime condition in exchange for making ALL Might listen to Hiroshi. He decided to do the same to Ingenium who will be crippled by Hero Killer: Stain in the future. David also feared that if he encourages Deku to become physically strong, it may end up making him confident and refuse One for ALL from All Might or not even meet ALL Might in the first place. David didn't want to take any chances because of a butterfly effect and that's the reason he didn't stay in contact with Momo.

Aiko started teaching David how to use aura for different purposes like an aura shield, aura imbued seismic sense and many more. David was able to tell when a person is lying and was able to sense others with all his 5 senses blocked. Aiko was astonished seeing David progress in aura manipulation so fast so she decided to give him a challenge that even she could never fulfill.

6 months ago she gave David a manual which was titled aura skin. It was like an invisible skin that would be formed around the user's body which could block even bullets. It was a passive skill which means that it would be activated even when David was asleep.

After reading the manual for the first time David felt it was similar to the infinity around Sataro Gojo. Even after practicing every day for the past 6 months, he had only mastered the 1st stage out of 3 stages.

David made some progress in his elemental controls.

As his 15th birthday gift, Aiko had given him a recommendation to UA hero school.

After the day of the tournament, David hadn't met Momo.

The next day David was getting ready for his recommendation exam.

" You sure you don't want me to come with you to the exam?"James asked.

" No Renji uncle and Akira uncle are coming with me and you have to attend a tournament today. " David said.

A car parked in front of David's home and honked. David peeked from his window and saw Akira and Renji coming out of the car.

After a few minutes, the three of them were on the way to UA.

"Mom said to remind you not to use aura in the exam. She wants you to excel in the exam only by using your air control" Akira said

" I don't understand why does David even has to attend the exam. David if you could just let the UA know that you are the personal disciple of Mom and Dad, you will get a direct entry in Class 1-A" Renji said.

"Disclosing this just to get into UA isn't worth it and I am sure the principal and a few teachers already know about this" David said looking out of the window.

" Endeavour's son Todoroki Shoto and your friend Momo will also be there with you for the exam" Akira said to which David nodded.

After a few minutes, they reached UA through a special entrance reserved only for recommendation examines.

David saw half-white half-red-haired Todoroki standing with Endeavour in a corner and Momo standing with her parents. There were a few more students standing with their parents but the only one David recognized was Inase.

When David entered the hall everyone looked towards him.

" His name is David Carter. I obtained information about everyone attending today's exam except him. I don't know what his quirk is nor do I know how strong he is. When I tried to enquire about him I got a warning from the association to not meddle in unwanted things. Those standing around him are the sons of Hiroshi Sato. The president of the association." Endeavor said to Todoroki.

'He looks strong. Just by his presence, the atmosphere feels heavy. But no matter who comes my way I will defeat everyone with my ice' Todoroki thought.

When Momo and her parents saw David they smiled and started walking towards him.

"David it's good to see you after such a long time. How are you?" Jun asked.

"I am good uncle Jun. " David said

"David it's no doubt that you will make it into the hero course. I hope Momo makes it in too. She has been working really hard since that tournament" Aiko said.

"Aunty Aiko she will definitely make it in Class 1-A. You are worrying for no reason" David said to which Aiko and Momo smiled.

Jun and Aiko started chatting with Akira and Renji as they frequently met in meetings.

"I am a little nervous David. By the way thanks for the tip about the artificial skin that day. Now I can use it even as a defense" Momo said while fidgeting with her fingers.

David was about to say something when there was an announcement for all the examines to enter the Class.

Present Mic comes to the class and announces " Welcome everyone. There will be 3 rounds. Written exam, practical exam, and an interview. "

'Why does he have to shout in a classroom' Everyone thought.

The written exam started after a few minutes. The questions were very easy as per David. They were basic questions related to studies and hero work.

After the written exam, everyone was guided towards a big ground which had a race course arranged.

" The practical exam will be a 3-kilometer race" Present Mic shouted.

Everyone took their place and the race started.

Todoroki was using Ice to glide while Inase created a Whirlwind to propel himself ahead. Momo created skates to move fast. David created a small tornado under his shoes to boost his speed. David was by far the fastest among others. His speed not only shocked the teachers but also the examines.

David finished first and looked back. Todoroki and Inase were running head to head but at the last moment, Inase created a big whirlwind and slid a few inches ahead of Todoroki.

After the race, the results were announced.

1st place. David Carter

2nd place. Inase Yoarashi

3rd place. Shoto Todoroki

5th place. Momo Yaoyorozu

The parents stood with their children. Inase tried to talk to Inase and Endeavour but got a rude reply to which he only gave a glare and left. Renji and Akira came towards David and said something and they three left the training ground.

" Why is he leaving? Isn't the interview supposed to be conducted now?" Shoto asked his father. Others also had the same question

" The people conducting the interview are from the hero association. And this kid seems to have more than the backing of the association to have the association president's both sons come here personally." Endeavor said.

David had Akira bypass his interview to show those who had any bad ideas for him that he is not someone without a backing. This makes him free from unwanted pests. Being a personal disciple would attract unwanted attention so he wanted to keep it under wraps.
