This is a horrible story. I kept reading just to see if it would change but nope. The whole thing is how he is pissed off at the mother of his brother. She hates him because he is illegitimate. He confessed his love to the main charcater with flowers and cake but the mother threw it away. He thought the main charcater did it. He holds a grudge for years. His brother ends up becoming a vegatable from an accident so the famliy forces him pretend to be him. They marry the brother and main charcater but he has to pretend to be the brother. When they were young he did everything he could to be with her and she was doing the same. This whole thing revolves around super simple misunderstandings. He says he wants to go to a super college so she works her ass off to go to that college instead of the one she wanted. He ends up going to the one she wanted. Its a whole lot of that mixed with him being a complete ass and raping her a couple of times to show her how he feels. Every time they interact hes cold and unforgiving while she is head over heels for him. I am actually baffled I read the enitre story up to the latest chapter. I kept giving it a chance hoping it would turn around. It is non stop him getting mad and misinterpreting things she does and says, then forcfully raping her to the point she is crying when he is done. It is so weird how the writing will jump to him trying to see for her well being and then him beating her for something she would say. It keeps going back to him being resentful about what the mother said to him and how he could never love her. I am more frustrated with myself that I actually read 300+ chapters of this!! Don't waste your time. He doesn't stop raping her and she never is relaxed around him every time they are together its an enitre paragraph of how her back is tense and her hands unconsciously clenching.

Yup, I read the chapters before making an account. Now I look no credible because it says I read 0 chapters. Cool. There should be a graphic warning or something. Just because the author doesn't go into detail its still there and clearly stated. I am actually baffled how hundreds of people have read this and think its so romantic. The girl is always on edge and always crying about him abusing her. How is that romantic?

Thank you very much for the review. Also thanks to the respondents who have attempted to defend the novel with positivity. This is definitely NOT going to be my kind of story. Ongoing physical abuse simply not my cup of tea (unless it's independent instances of revenge, or ye olde information gathering method applied to someone who has attempted or managed to harm the protagonists). Rape really doesn't do it for me. (I do not consider it rape if they both go into it willingly and one partner is simply over-exuberant, but that's clearly not what this story is doing.) I appreciate the warning. I also greatly appreciate the civility of comments from both sides of the matter. Thank you again.

I agree and what truly makes me sick is how people enjoy this and make excuses for the ml. NO! there is no reality where this is ok. And this tells girls that after being r*ped and physically and mentally abused for years they will eventually stop and fall in love with you. This story needs to get burned and all the people who enjoy this need to understand that if this happens to them, i'd feel no pity for them

Translation quality, update stability, character design and world building are 5 stars worthy. My issue is with the Character Design. This two must be the most dense person I've ever met. Every single chapter I want to shake the MC awake or slap her or do something to pull her back to reality. Use your freaking words, woman! Then, I went back to check the raw and realized the author intended to create such characters. They are supposed to be 虐心 [translation: Heart torment]. So, I guess... job well done? So 5 stars for accomplishing what the author set out to do.

After reading a few chapters I've come to the conclusion that this novel is a fairly generic shoujo esq world not even worth venturing into. I've been generous with my review to give the author 2 stars for world building. I want to both thank and apologize to the translator of this series, but the novel you are doing just isn't very good and requires a juvenile barely pubescent 13 year old girls mind to enjoy this work. After reading a bit your translations are of good quality, I hope you do better work in the future than this novel. **: I am male, this probably affects my judgement a bit, but I genuinely find this novel dreadful after a few chapters. I believe this novel is simply not to be targeted at myself or my gender, since I find it hard to believe more than a minority of men will find this novel enjoyable.

Great, thought I wasn't going to enjoy it.But I take it back, this book is amazing. I feel like Mr.Lu probably loved her. But she broke his heart with her three conditions So he's probably determined to stay hostile with her till she takes back those three conditions. Otherwise why else would he hate her so much but yet help her out whenever she asks for it? Clearly, he still loves her. I guess those three conditions really pissed him off otherwise why would he be so cold. With such a personality he shouldn't have been able to become so big, which means only one thinks those three conditions left a pretty big scar in his heart! Can't wait till they work out their issues lol. And plz can you reply back? I'm starting to feel that you guys don't even care about our reviews....

Ok, remember when I said this needs a Drama Series adaptation.... I take it back, don't do it!! I just watched the PV for season 2 of the anime and it was too much! Please, just leave it at an anime for now, its too much! If the drama get released, I will imediately watch it and then regret it half an hour later when my house is flooded with tears!
