This is a good novel, but a bad translation. The first 80 or so chapters had already been translated at Radiant and in much better quality. If I hadn't already read those, I wouldn't know, but it's obvious by reading the chapters here at webnovel that a lot of meaning and nuance has been lost in translation. An obvious case of this is in the names, which are clearly themed around Greek mythology but have been mangled by webnovel's translation in numerous cases.

Having read the rest of the chapters now, it's still a pretty good book with the translation being well-written, but there's no way an English-only reader can tell if stuff is missing. Seems like maybe the translator got better over time, as the 90-current chapters are pretty good.
There was a noticable difference between the earlier chapters and later ones. It felt like the earlier ones were pretty much slightly edited MTLs while the newer ones were actually translated.
Then again, radiant also was very inconsistent in their naming

I'd say on radiant for at least the first couple dozen, though the webnovel translation definitely gets better as it goes on. I guess it would be more a matter of viewer preference.

Whatever criticism people have against this translator upto 80th chapter i understand but beyond that the translation was done in a better manner and is continually improving. Also radiant's translation was inconsistent as hell so i'm glad i get read it on qidian
