This is a great story of a man moving through a virtual reality video game and becoming the top player. Throughout the story he will develop various powers and that are not forgotten about. A skill that is used once will be used again. Most stories like this will forget about skills that were once used. However, even skills that are rarely mentioned will be brought up again from time to time to remind you of their existence. This shows us that the author is fully aware of his story and has an in depth understanding of what is important so that the readers will not forget small bits and pieces of the story. However, there are a few errors in translation but are easily fixed in your mind as you're reading. So I view these as very minor.

Here is my review after reading 189 chapters : MC have a lot of broken skills, know everything in the game (boss skill, dungeon environment, future event) with excuse as 'beta player' and MC is the only 'beta player' in the game so far and no one in his party care about something like that, they just follow MC command like trained dog and ask him everything about the game. Even the game company don't care about MC, they should be atleast suspicious but they just don't care at all. Someone in MC party always make boring dirty joke, there are 2 money grubber who love to hoard every items and money as much as possible eventhough they are filthy rich, MC meet 2 new member (1 with 'perfect leg', the other one is another *** joke lover). Author always talking about how sexy and big boob the healer in party, and keep creating pointless argument againt each character with end result as dry humor, mostly *** joke humor then everyone laugh like middle school boys. Female MC protagonist which never appear again after 1st appear in early chapter with short introduction. Dumb and idiot antagonist so far, there is 1 rival guild who hate MC, and the Guild Master from tha guild always know how to make fun of himself like idiot, he is so shameless as well. Story so far mostly doing dungeon run, gathering materials, errand boy, there is no notable story. Even the main quest which MC got only doing dungeon run and kill boss in the dungeon. Game world itself never get explain so far, so I don't know how big the world is or what place in the game world. MC rarely do anything in real world.

It's interesting, sure, but the characters are flat. The author seems to think that humor or camadre comes from random snippets of party members shouting insults at each other or random nonsensical banter. Consistency was an issue early - either the author or translator did not properly proofread, since repetition of information seems to be contradictory: the AOE sweep skill that was supposed to have gone from 100-200% damage because the MC did a certain quest perfectly is displayed as 200% both times in the story, despite the first instance being supposedly 100. Several other, smaller inconsistencies in dialogue also pop up. The number scaling is also ridiculous - supposedly the number of players in the very beginning were 4 million simultaneously with over a billion after 5 years.... And the 'guy whose uncle works at the company' states that the VR helmets for the game sold 500 million of its stock preorder... Supposing that a super advanced VR helmet that connects to neural pathways was priced CHEAPER than today's high resolution monitor helmets at 500 dollars, and that millions of individual people could afford such a luxury and were willing to pay for it, the company would have just made 250 billion dollars of revenue. In preorders. However, if you can retain your suspension of disbelief then it's entertaining. At least until you get past the first 2 dungeons. The damage scaling doesn't change at all. The MC at level 16 can do 400 damage with his 'super op' aoe ability. Then later after more than tripling his weapons attack and getting a flat 50% armor penetration ability it does 700 damage to regular mobs. Then, despite the MC's perfect knowledge of the boss attack patterns and having party members that are described as being extremely good, being potentially pro level after improving some mechanical skills, they get wiped several times. From dumb mistakes. Overall, not bad. Honestly? Not worth being nearly as highly rated or popular. It has many, many flaws that can be easy to overlook, so might make for a decent read.

Card Apprentice Daily Log

Dalton Wyatt, a world-renowned scientist and inventor, is transmigrated into the body of a high school student, also named Dalton Wyatt, who had tragically committed suicide due to unfortunate circumstances and a complicated life. The enchanting world of cards he finds himself in is vastly different from Earth, yet eerily similar in certain aspects. Unlike the peaceful Earth, where humans fought only amongst themselves, this new world is plagued by dungeons and monsters. Here, humanity's survival hinges on battling these mythical and legendary creatures. Ordinary mortals lack the strength to stand against such formidable foes. Thankfully, a select few are blessed with the ability to harness their souls, manifest soul power, and become card apprentices—humanity’s last hope against extinction. Card apprentices are individuals who form contracts with grimoires, mystical artifacts that allow them to wield powerful and versatile cards to fend off monsters and conquer dungeons. A grimoire provides card apprentices with abilities such as card creation and card fusion. Most importantly, it enables them to unlock their full potential in card battles. While this world shares the concept of science with Earth, its focus is not on electronics or industrialization. Instead, cards replace the need for most technologies, fulfilling even the smallest of daily necessities. This world revolves entirely around the grimoire’s abilities, particularly card creation and card fusion. Transmigrated to a place where strength can be bought with money, Dr. Wyatt is forced to earn a living to ensure his survival. Fortunately, with his otherworldly knowledge and expertise, card creation comes naturally to him, setting him apart from other card apprentices. Dr. Wyatt crafts and sells perfect, powerful, and resourceful cards, steadily growing stronger in this monster-ridden world. --- "What did you say? Making good cards is hard? Bah! Card creation is a breeze." "My friend, let me enlighten you—there are no 'trash card ingredients,' only incompetent card creationists." [Commencing card creation using ingredients, i)Bloody Veins - G Rank, Mortal Grade ii)Nyon Rope - G Rank, Mortal Grade iii)Common Core - G Rank, Mortal Grade Card creation… complete! You used G-rank mortal-grade ingredients and yet crafted an E-rank common-grade card with full durability and a three-star rating? This isn’t real—I must still be dreaming! I couldn’t possibly have woken up today—this has to be a dream!"
