LIKEThe definition of harem suggests a second house being involved or a group of women in a physical relationship with the same man. To make my point, think about love triangles, a common trope. Some stories with love triangles are not necessarily harems, and yet have two heroines. The etymology of the harem genre doesn't match the dictionary definition, so imho I think the genre of harem requires three or more, regardless of what the definition of the actual word is; but not only does the harem genre require three or more, but it also requires a particular execution and tone. For example, a group of friends with benefits isn't a harem unless the relationships have some sort of commitment, which I think could also include desired or implied commitments too.
Polyamory is 3 people, harem is 4 or more
Potatowned:A harem is more than 1 woman. That's it. I don't know why all these authors are trying to get off on a technicality. If you write a harem own it and tag it. So sick of having to dig through review comments to find out if something has a harem or not.
Degenerate? It is the current definition of the 2 words, polyamory is a relationship between 3 people and the harem is 4 or more, accept reality there is nothing strange in telling you the truth, also calling someone a degenerate for giving you information is childish.
Potatowned:Shut up degenerate.
Harem's have a single central focus where as polyamory does not have one central person, ei; (poly: 1 can sleep with 2 and/or 3, 2 can sleep with 1 and/or 3, 3 can sleep with 1 and/or 2) (Harem: 1 can sleep with 2 and/or 3, 2 can sleep with 1 or 1 and 3 but not just 3, and 3 can sleep with 1 or 1 and 2) You can change sleep to love if it makes y'all feel better.
Gabichu_Yeah:Polyamory is 3 people, harem is 4 or more
it's more so polygamy than a Harem

Any MC that chooses to be none human and very different looking is immediately a bad read, not because of the MC but the author for going with that. No stable mind human who is not very stupid, if taken the time to consider, would choose this, its done for the sake of the story. Want that? Go a head, don't make it a choice for the MC. Thanks for the review, I will pass.
