Trash novel, the author used a pathetic reason to make the protagonist weaker than he should be, he also does not understand the power of a sayajin, Goku was capable of resisting bullets with only 40 power and was capable of moving at 4970 m /s with 5000 power, it would have been more interesting if he had been reincarnated at the time when he was a baby and not a teenager, like I said before, just an excuse to nerf him.

not 40, 12 with a power level of 12 bullets only stung Goku a little. And kid Goku with a power level below 300 was able to move around 3000 m/s, with a power level of 5000 Goku would be near half speed of light not a measly 4970 m/s
author does in fact follow the correct path to strengthen a saiyan as such while I agree he did nerf him needlessly you forget one thing goku was always shot with a small caliber round take the 9mm as am example Bulma shot goku with small caliber 9mm rounds from a submachine gun and it stung goku now imagine if that was a medium caliber like 7.62 or 5.56 it would put a hole in 12 power level goku until he reached around 80 power level it would sting again now imagine getting gun fired from a helicopter the current Mc could resist it to a point with his endurance but what you all failed to consider what happens when your endurance reaches its limit from the continuously firing Armour piercing large caliber rounds yeah I think author definitely did not make a mistake anywhere with that and he was correct with super saiyan transformation as well its base form multiplied as was said literally by Whis in dragon ball super before the tournament of power arc when goku got injured by a mere bullet true he may have countless transformations but it doesn't change the fact its just a multiplier for his base form if he's not super saiyan he's weak
Did you forget that it was in the Dragon Ball universe where they were so powerful? In other universes, it won't be the same. In the Dragon Ball universe, Ki has no restrictions, and power is limitless because that's how the universe is. But in other universes, Saiyans would be 100 times weaker if they grew up there because the Ki in those universes is a thousand times weaker than in Dragon Ball due to restrictions. Since the other universes are more powerful than the Dragon Ball universe, the restrictions are more real and reasonable. A Saiyan in the comic universe would clearly be less powerful and severely nerfed, so what's happening is completely normal
while what you say has some truth to it you are wrong, you seem to have the idea that Saiyans absorb ki from the world around them like how kryptonians absorb energy from the sun, That is completely and utterly inaccurate because the beings of the dragon ball verse generate their own ki from their body only special techniques such as the spirit bomb use external/environmental KI, So no matter what verse a Saiyan or any other race for the dragon ball verse is in nothing will change, same with the magic from dragon ball, the magic that is used in other verses uses mana or other energies that is regenerated or gathered from an external source, Dragon ball characters don't do that, to make it easier to understand you can think of it as them having a special organ to create and regenerate any ki or magic they use.

guess we're just gonna ignore my comment on racial endurance and that all endurance no matter what has a limit. and just focus on the power level because we assume a power level actually makes a massive difference and we're gonna just ignore my blatant comment on how a goku who has super saiyan blue can get hurt by a bullet from a standard issue pistol we're just gonna ignore my comments and focus on a power level that does not and will never make a difference no matter your transformation because muscle atrophy no longer exists apparently and we're bold enough to assume saiyans don't suffer weakness like that
