Issue is you’re trying to make fallout realistic only the Mc and what ever main game character you have in it should be cracked also the big players in wasteland like end game he should be able to 1v1 a death claw

It’s odd to say you didn’t want the MC to rely on a system while using a game world that literally had the MC relying on their system to survive in the wasteland. Payers playing the game RELIED on the system given to them through playing the game. If all you did was improve it by granted missions, badass rewards, experience and currency/items then you’ve done a good thing. Why unnecessarily nerf a character just to serve the purpose of your plot? The system is there for a specific function. To guide, to inform, to reward, to penalize. Why make the Fallout world which was so fun to explore and so beloved by millions become so much harder to explore in reality?
