Well, it was good before chapter 11. We can see how the rugged life of the north corrupted him bit by bit which is realistic in a way but it slowly starts going downhill from there. It looks like the author is trying to make the story into a Vinland saga kind of story. The mc gets more irrational in his decisions but the plot armor dictates it works out well. Things like having the savagery for carnage like an Ironborn but is still liked by his people. Telling how he almost raped a wildling to his wife with no remorse without any marital consequence. Seriously, she proclaimed that it was the worst thing she ever heard in her whole life. There are no repercussions after that whatsoever. A sheltered noble from the Reach has heard 2 of the worst things in her life from the person she's supposed to spend the rest of her life with but nothing happened. Then, his decision to kill wildlings for the next 25 years to somehow lessen the Night King's army. Hays... This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Thousands of years had already passed. The Night King already has his enormous army. The wildlings that is still alive is barely half a percent of the dead in those thousands of years. Even if with some miracle, you manage to kill every wildling and ship of their remains of there, it will barely leave a mark on the Night King's army. Not only did you kill potential soldiers, but your men also died a meaningless battle. The edge of this fic is too narrow it can cut atoms. That's how st*pidly edgy this is.

LIKEBy your estimate the Night King has an army of over thirteen million wights as he has gathered all the dead Wildlings for eight thousand years. If you really think this is the case, then what is the point of any GoT fanfic? With numbers like that the Night King can just golf clap while his army World War Z's the Wall and destroys all life on Westeros. Perhaps that is how Martin wants to end the series as he is tired of writing it, but for there to be any narrative payoff in the plot line then this simply can't be the case. This story is written with the belief that Jon's plotline is more than a waste of time and that the people of Westeros can defeat the Others by getting their act together. Also, bones disintegrate within a century of death. While we could argue about magical preservation this does not seem to be the case with the Others. As such the only feasible number for the Others on hand stock is about 150,000. If there are 100,000 Wildlings and Jorah kills them all and prevents the Others from getting them he has enacted a 40% change in army size through his own actions. Feel free to complain about the morality of the MC, this is a GoT/ASoIaF fic. Moral arguments are entirely stupid in this fandom, but don't come with that weak logic.
I'll make a correction, you may have forgotten but the bones are in the northern wastelands where the temperature is very low and the ground is mostly frozen and some places only have ice over the ground. So bones can be stored for a couple thousand years or more, and also a couple hundred years can be stored for a bone skeleton structure with frozen skin and rotten meat. Since the bacteria and insects that carry out this cleavage process do not live in a year-round freeze, they either sleep or die (more likely option 2) as they cannot feed. As an example, the bones of prehistoric animals and humans. So the king has an army exactly more than 100 thousand, but no more, the reason for the very low population density.

To say that moral arguments are stupid in the ASOIAF fando just shows that the author has the same taste as those teenage otakus who like protagonists committing a lot of depravities for their so-called goals. What is more impressive is that even the Lords of Westeros with their weak morals still make slavery a crime, something that the protagonist finds he does without any weight on his conscience. Using a cruel world as an excuse to be cruel shows the quality of the story.

Fair enough I dont relate to them either I just like reading about villains and the mc is humerous sometimes

this story still inherently doesnt make sense. and "oh people like othersl stuff" doesnt invalidate the fact the got is popular because of its realism. and making things grimderp because oh "darker is realistic" is a bad writing move and will just make a story unpopular.
