Right the key is power and money thus realistically speaking do u think a women will want to share her partner unless he has a lot of money or power for her to gain the relationships turn superficial when there are multiple wives and if they have kids do u think the father can give equal love to all his children and wives I don’t see that happening and do u think all the wives can give equal love to all the children? No they will favour there own more which will eventually lead to conflict (sorry for the rant I just can’t stand harems)
At first harems were made to ensure offspring, then they were used as a symbol of power since in the past women were possessions and not people

Forget before Christianity bro there were kings in medieval Europe who were ex[pected to have mistresses. I believe they even had a title for the court positions. some kings who didn't even want one were forced to have one.
Personally, no but you underestimate the amount of women who wouldn't mind. I'm not saying the majority of women would be okay with it, but it is surprisingly more than we would have thought. Even in the United state while not legal there are a lot of polygamous relationships and I'm not talking about people who come from cultures where it's more accepted.

Yes, it was realistic, when woman were treated as possessions and trophies, that was the only time harems were realised. Other times it was mainly for political reasons, a superficial relationship with no love involved, go touch some grass you have been online for too long child.
