Ok so I wish I had read this before diving in myself because this mc goes on to make extremely bad choices repeatedly on abilities. His picks when he has literally teleportation and permanent invisibility as well as a really good aoe are instead a lame spellcaster so he can make like he's a noble(that idea lasts all of one chapter before he kills a young master in a duel and somehow instead of honoring the results of a duel as is customary he's thrown in jail in spite of demonstrating that he has noble status via magic)

And mind that the excuse used here is that "the mages probably have a way to detect him anyways" which doesn't hold water as the guy regularly sneaks past literally legendary mages on a regular basis in league.

when i first saw this novel: Oh a new fanfic!I know better to not trust novel reviews, I'll try it myself. *scrolled down and saw the author's other work, 'elderblood witcher in dark souls'. me:

I have to disagree, we have a anti-social gamer thrown into another world after being almost killed and confronted by a louise, a person with a VERY strong character with MAGIC. You cannot expect him to just stand up and confront her right? with her having magic to cause explosions that can kill him on a whim?. The mc has done what he can to survive after being hunted by basically everyone everywhere. Its just the first 20 or so chapters that are hard to read because the mc is weak and all. but its gets better... MC its not really that smart in taking decisions but he improves later on.

I am 100% sure that you would never want to become the enemy of the protagonist of this novel from the last chapters.

Also if the runes make them subservient, then how does one explain his pervy behaviour? or his continuous doing of said perverted actions? also just because he is 'now' doesn't mean his past actions just stop existing after that, its still there.

I don't know about the pervy behavior as it was sort of instantly stopped. Also, about the last part, his actions are still indeed there but his character has developed beyond that.
