A completely custom region made up by the author. Granted I wouldn't say the starters are exactly messed up considering Pokemon Legends: Arceus has Cyndaquil, Rowlet, and Oshawott as starters for Sinnoh.

I didn't mean 'messed up' in a negative way. I was just confused since most regions have their own starter pokemons and pokemon legends Arceus has different starters because the timeline's in ancient sinnoh where they haven't decided which three pokemons would be their starters. Professor got that three pokemon from travelling around the world lol.

Oh yeah it's Canon. Multiple NPCs from the game and books do make mention of this.. I think some Pokedex entries do too. Fun fact extra: Legend of Arceus game is set around the time when Pokephilia was legal. infact in may still be in regular due to Ditto and no laws specifically against it. It just might be a more "Not illegal, but disgusted." thing.
