I would say that most people in this fanfic are basically realistic people. I mean, it makes sense in their eyes to buy an apartment or invest in something rather lucrative rather than buying a sports car since a boxing career doesn't give stable income. More so, there are shady dealings where people who don't like you will simply hire a group of thugs to cripple you which is why pro boxers have security teams.
