Normally I just read and don't leave any comments but I had to leave a review for this one. This fanfiction started off with a decent idea, waking up in a wealthy pure blood child and practicing magic like a fanfiction addict would. The author ruined the fanfiction for me when the mc: 1. Had a magic core and goes through 'growth' phases at certain ages. 2. Chose to go to Hogwarts when as a Harry Potter fan you know the teachers suck and the standards are terrible. 3. Made wands the devil, where the mc is afraid of using a wand as it will stop his core's growth. 4. Uses and practices wandless magic in front of students and at students without a cover (his fake wand which he left in his room for some reason) while saying he's trying to keep it a secret (I guess he forgot about all the portraits spying too). 5. Reused lines from the original story even though it takes place like a year earlier (I guess Dumbledore uses the same lines every year now) 6. very bad romance with a 12 year old.

Well it's not as bad tbh 1. Regarding the core thing it was not really used in the story afterword's to make an impact on the story and honestly how does it matters if the magic is in the core it won't impact progress rate 2. He chose Hogwarts because he knows about the benefits like RoR and castle itself. He didn't really need to fear the plot as he is pureblood and hence not a target for voldy and as long as he does not openly fight him like harry there is no risk tbh if i were in position i would also chose hogwarts 3. He rejects wand because he made connection between his body and magic and want was diverting the connection from his body to itself. Also as it made him much powerful so if he started using it it would be hard to do back(Though i agree author made it a bit dramatic) 4. He used wandless magic once outside as far as i remember and that time also he managed to trick his way out 5. Well i didn't notice dumbles speech but does it really matter and dumbles were giving general information and there was nothing plot related 6. There is no romance in the story as of 87th chapter, there has been some girls showing interest but that is just like minor crush at most.

The reviewer is not the mentor of the author, why are you trying to saddle him with the responsibilities of one?
i think i get the guy hating the core stuff it made the novel like xianxia where if someone has higher core than you then you lose no matter what, but that rule don't apply to mc and in harry potter thats not how it works even merlin would lose to voldi if given the right prep, so yeah it isn't the best to add a core system plus in harry potter spell can be learn by anybody without needing to have a core level etc.
That's now how cores work in hp fanfics it's just the capacity of magic wizard can hold and utilize, it does not make them immune to spells. Maybe it enhances body and instincts a but but that does not make them unbeatable and similar logic can be used when using magic present in environment. I prefer magic core as other wise if you are in a place with no ambient magic wizards will not be able to use magic one bit.
Hm. The author was simply trying to make a comprehensible magic system.

Even if the teachers suck, he has the room of requirement. He can also ask flitwick to mentor him in dueling and McGonagall for help if he impresses her.
