first of all I want to remind everyone who reads this that this review will be pretty subjective, I will base any pros or cons on my own preferences and only mention points I find to be important, so I recommend you to read at least one other review or (preferably) just read the first few chapters of the fanfic. I normally don't write reviews (because it's to bothersome), but I had nothing better to do, so here I go. Now that that is done, on to the actual review: what I think is important to know is that the mc isn't really evil, due to the reincarnation his mentality seems to be influenced by his new body, this may be due to his biological brain chemistry or due to the memories he inherits (this may be either a plus or not depending on your preferences). Due to personal reasons the mc decided to be evil in his second life, but because of the aforementioned influence he fails miserably, you could compare it to a child thinking it is evil because it crossed the street with only checking each side once instead of twice, in this case the mc wants to be evil but every single effort towards that goal endears him to his subjects (He doesn't realise that and is repeatedly confused why his subjects do not fear him). So if you came for a truly evil mc or don't like the mc being childish then this probably isn't for you. I myself am a sucker for op protagonists, and while he may not be op in his home world (though he is still much stronger than his age would let you believe) he is when he travels to different worlds. So again if you don't like it please don't start to complain in the paragraphs, just unfollow the story and read something different. Another point that I must say I found somewhat sad (due to the above mentioned point) was in the newest chapter (I believe it was chapter 22). The strongest ability (the one that made him so op) was limited, i generally don't like authors nerfing their protagonists or suddenly have them acting like idiots so that nerf left a bad taste in my mouth, BUT the protagonist was (to a certain extent) compensated, if the compensation is worth it will be revealed in the next chapter. Normally that still wouldn't be enough to satisfy me, but in this case the mc himself asked for the nerf, this would normally fall under "author dumbed the mc down", but the protagonist ensured that he (atleast) has a "sure win button" that would ensure that he can win any confrontation in an emergency. So while it was obvious that it was a nerf, the author handled it better than any nerf I have 'seen' in other works (though this may have been simply because I near instantly dropped when a nerf occured). All that is left to say is that despite the name (up to now) there isn't anything really dark happening. And to answer a question that will probably be asked at some point (despite it probably being answered chapters ago) while I can't be 100 percent sure, it doesn't seem to be a harem fic (or at most a small harem), considering the mc's attitude, unless his GF from his first life appears he won't cheat on the one he got (and married) in his first inter-universal travel quest. But flags were raised (only one really), so the author either holds back due to his (mc's) age (wich would be a refreshing change), or the mc will have to reject them later on. also due to the relatively low amount of chapters I was unsure how to rate some of the categories, they are only preliminary and may change for the better (or worse) depending on how the story continues, so take them with a grain of salt. I hope this helped you decide in favor of reading it (or saved you time if your preferences don't agree with any one or more of my points)

i must thank you for the review really, im not much into childish or dense protagonists who dont know what theyre doing... let alone know if what theyre doing is right, this dude seems unaware of some obvious things around...

Evil being like for real evil. Cultivation novels say baby's blood or what ever can boost Cultivation so the MC goes a head and hidnaps and sells baby blood or like sets up trafficking, just real evil stuff... 🥺

It could have been justified as a grudge at the beginning when he took revenge on his starting village, but how do you justify the infinite series of murders and scams that he keeps on doing for hundreds of chapters with no end on sight after? I had to drop that book after 300+ chapters because the MC could only see every single character introduced either as a source of money, favours, or even as a sacrifice for his own insects, not a single time he had the instinct to help someone or a spark of love interest or even a shred of piety, it was just dark thoughts after dark actions after dark thoughts over and over..
Oh and don't get me wrong, I was probably one of the first to praise that book as the first on this website to bring a true evil MC to the table, I even have one of my highest upvoted and oldest posts of my account praising that book in his early chapters for the evilness of the MC, but you know, there's only so much a man can read before getting sick to the stomach.. ^_^"
That's not evil to me, that's a normal person being corrupted by their environment. If you ever live in a corrupt country where the in order to survive you need to be corrupt you'll get what I mean. What the book demonstrates in my view isn't evil, but rather human nature's instincts to survive. What I find to be evil would be human trafficking and other such things. Like for cultivation, you know how some books say infants blood helps with cultivation. Well an evil MC should go around kind napping or growing humans so he can use the infants for cultivation. That's what I view as evil. Of course even I have a limit, that being if the MC enjoys doing such actions. Then I won't read it
But the guy was kind of a trafficker, remember how he got the most promising, powerful and beautiful granddaughter of an old lady and just feed her to some bear-like spidery monster Gu because it was the only way for him to get to level 3 in a short time bypassing his cultivation impurities? I'm sure there were plenty more people that got killed just to push his cultivation further by an inch, I just removed the memory after a few years.. anyway if you don't think that guy was evil I honestly do not know what it is since I always bring it up as the prime example of an evil MC that act only in his own interest regardless of the consequences for the people around him, we can only agree to disagree if you'll still insist that he was just acting that way due to the environment.

Yeah that's basically evil 🤔. it's been a while for me too I quit like 1000 chapters in because I lost my spot 😂😂. Well either way I still don't think he's true evil. But he is the most evil MC I've read about 😊

honestly, I prefer evil mc but in disguise, like vampire evil capitalist but people praise him as the most benevolent person on earth. naked evil person usually didn't go well and must go through countless tragedy which is too much for my weak heart
