For anyone wondering what bad reasoning means. He has a panda hat that restricts his strength by a lot. Instead of coming up with a believable reason to explain the hats abilities to vice admiral tsuru (which he doesn't need to do. He's known her for a few days and starts telling her secrets left and right) he says that it's a treasure that was kept at skypeia and he needs it to keep his body from exploding. He could have easily said that it's an object that ate the seal seal fruit or something. The protagonist is so stupid that it makes me wish that akainu was the person he decided to tell most of his secrets to. Maybe getting tortured by cp-0 would make him stop being stupid. I honestly couldn't get passed chapter 7. It made me cringe more than stories with awful grammar and edgy protagonists that the author makes all of the characters think are cool.

hmm you have a good explanation there but do you imagine someone who dont have any family and know that he just a test subject suddenly found someone who can he rely on? Xin already understand Tsuru personality so he dont need to spend more days or years to understand her because he already read One Piece manga. for example, a child have a big secret he can't tell it to anyone except to the one who the child favor more right? that's what happen to Xin, he already favored Tsuru who treat him like his own Grandma, he cant hide any secret from her as you read the fan-fic you can see that Xin dont have any basic knowledge except in what he read and understand basically Xin have a knowledge of a kid even he die in his teens

He still got treated like a lab rat by everyone in his first life. I doubt that those people didn't pretend they care about him at one point in time. He still told someone he met for the first time WAAY too many secrets. You still should have had tsuru earn his trust in some way, first. Maybe protect him from akainu or something. You can't make him fearful and distrustful of EVERYONE in his first life, then tell tsuru so many secrets for no reason at all. Even if he trusts her, there was no reason to say so many things that might get him experimented on, out loud. Even if she doesn't do anything to him, all it takes is one person listeningin with a spy den den mushi. He could have told tsuru that he can't tell her if he didn't want to lie. He could have told white lies like his hat eating the seal seal fruit if he wanted her to know about his abilities without telling her his secrets. He should get experimented on by vegapunk and caeser clown for telling so many secrets for no reason. It would be his fault this time and he would learn not to tell others more than they need to know

You obviously don't understand how children react to trauma. He read about her in manga, the same manga that shows that the marines serve the celestial dragons. If a celestial dragon thought he was cute enough, tsuru would be forced to give him to them as a slave. Even if he shouldn't have trust issues, he should have explained things to her in a way that fits the rules of the one piece world. Not "I have a magic treasure."

I know that it's too late to go back and change it. Next time though, don't have him get treated like a lab rat and tortured with experiments everyday if you're not going to take a big part of his childishness away due to it. When meeting tsuru for the first time, he acted like a normal kid that saw a dog for the first time and wanted to pet it. He should act like a kid that got attacked by a dog before. Even if he wants to pet the dog, he should be wary when reaching his hand out to it. He should only relax around the dog when he sees that it enjoys being pet and understands it won't bite him. Even if he read about tsuru in a story, have you never heard about the saying "once bitten, twice shy?" If someone has recently been bitten by a dog, they will hesitate to pet even their own dog. Let alone one they read about in a magazine that talks about how well behaved it is and how its never bitten anyone. It's too big of a mistake too soon in the story for me to want to keep reading it. It's not about him not being cautious enough, it's about him acting like his first life never happened. If the way you wrote about him getting over it so soon shows anything. It shows that the only time we will remember his first life is when he sees a needle or meets someone in a doctors lab coat.
