The Request For A Buster Call

[ Third Person POV ]

New World

Across the island, numerous explosions happen as Douglas madly chased after Borusalino.

"Why're ya runnin'?! Let's keep fighting!!" Bullet cackled maniacally before launching another barrage of fist attacks.

Borsalino effortlessly weaved through all the punches and landed a solid kick square on the chest. Right upon contact, Borsalino's foot glowed with a yellow light before Bullet was sent flying. However, such an attack was far from enough to stop the 'Demon Heir.'

The Demon Heir immediately kicked the air once more before appearing right in front of Borsalino. Managing to land a punch square right in the face. Sending him flying right back as a result. However, Borsalino recovered almost immediately before dissolving into light and reappearing right in front of Bullet.

The sword of light he had summoned previously appeared once more, and he swung it right across Bullet's neck; at least he tried to anyway. Douglas had managed to lean back at the last second to avoid the light blade and push-kick Borsalino right in the chest to create a bit of a distance between them.

"I have to admit, the Vice Admirals of the Marines are quite the challenge," Bullet acknowledged, "but I'm merely getting started! Let's see what you can do against me going all out!!"

Borsalino didn't say anything in return and kept an eye on his surroundings as the ground around the island began to shake. Bullet kept his maniacal smile as the metal remnants of the village that he had destroyed earlier quickly stuck to his body.

Slowly but surely, he had formed a mini-exoskeleton around his body, giving him a rather robust appearance. However, Douglas wasn't finished, and the robust exoskeleton he had created slowly took a darker hue. Borsalino's eyes couldn't help but narrow upon recognizing what Bullet had done to his exoskeleton suit.

"Impressive. This technique has yet to reach its fullest potential, but it's more than enough for this fight!" Bullet laughed before he appeared right in front of Borsalino.

Borsalino immediately turned into light before teleporting to another position that was a bit of a distance away from Bullet.

"This isn't good~," Borsalino remarked seriously for the first time throughout the entire battle, "I'm not sure whether I'll be able to handle him by myself~."

He was about to pull out a transponder snail to call Fleet-Admiral Sengoku, but he immediately detected Bullet appearing right in front of him. So he instead turned into light before reappearing a bit farther from Bullet, and he began to dial the number for Headquarters.

"Fleet-Admiral Sengoku~," Borsalino called out.

"What is it? Have you handled Douglas Bullet?" Sengoku asked from the other end of the line.

"Nope, in fact, I believe that the reports were undermining just how much of a threat the man is~," Borsalino remarked, "I won't be enough to take him down. We'll probably need a Buster Call~."

"Is he that strong?!" Sengoku remarked with a shocked tone.

Borsalino didn't immediately respond but instead stared at Bullet, who was grinning while waiting patiently for Borsalino to hang up the call. Borsalino could see the sheer amount of power that Bullet was holding back.

In terms of potential, there was no doubt that Bullet was more than capable of increasing his strength by a hundredfold. However, the Douglas Bullet that Borsalino was fighting with at the moment was just as dangerous.

"Indeed, and if we don't handle him right now, he'll be just as big of a problem as the Storm Dragon is," Borsalino replied.

Those weren't words to be casually thrown around. Sengoku immediately understood the gravity of the situation after that.

"Very well, Garp just got back to HQ; I'll send him your way along with the Buster Call ships. Hang tight," Sengoku replied before hanging up his end of the line.

"Please hurry~," Borsalino remarked as he put the transponder snail back into his pocket.

"Are you done? Good! To have a Buster Call targeting me...is nothing more than an honor in the pursuit of absolute strength!" Bullet remarked as he let out a rather frightening wave of Conqurer's Haki.

"Hopefully, they'll be more than enough to put you down~," Borsalino replied as he summoned his sword of light. Around him, he also summoned multiple balls of light that counted up to the hundreds.

Borsalino knew that he was going to give it everything he had if he wanted to hold out till the Buster Call arrived. So he held nothing back; he extended his Observation Haki to its fullest. He also coated his sword with Armament Haki, making the light sword glow harsher as they both prepared themselves for another round of intense battle.

They stood apart in silence as they analyzed the potential moves the other would make. In one instance, the distance they had between each other was closed as they appeared right in front of each other.

Each had an arm raised as if ready to go for the kill.

Marineford

"Garp! I'm going to need your help," Sengoku remarked as soon as Garp walked into his office.

"Huh? Sengoku! I just got back. Can't you give me a break or something?" Garp complained, but Sengoku kept his solemn expression on him.

"I'm afraid that's not going to happen, Borsalino just called. He's requesting a Buster Call," Sengoku replied.

"Hm? Who's he fighting?" Garp asked after sitting down and picking his nose.

"The Demon Heir, Douglas Bullet," Sengoku replied.

For the first time throughout the conversation. Garp took on a serious appearance as he dropped his casual appearance and leaned forward.

"He finally decided to show up, huh?" Garp asked.

"Well, he had been making some trouble a while back. I had underestimated how much stronger he had become because he was just an apprentice on Roger's ship," Sengoku replied.

"That was your first mistake; none of the people on Roger's ship were normal, to begin with," Garp muttered as he grabbed his cloak.

Sengoku could only pick up a call and order for several Vice Admirals to aid Garp. As for Garp himself, he was in a pretty bad mood ever since he had gotten back to Head Quarters.

One of his beloved students was currently in a coma because of some stupid individuals who had a bit of pull within the World Government. Every time Garp thought about the Celestial Dragons, veins would pop out of his forehead. However, that wasn't the time to properly assess the extent of Boris's damages to the Marines.

There was going to be a time for that in the future. For now, he was going to make sure that he apprehended the Demon Heir. In Order to do that, he immediately got on his ship and started making a beeline right to where Borsalino had reported he was fighting Douglas Bullet.

The distance was quite far, but Borsalino was going to have to hold on if he didn't want to die in irrelevancy. The Vice-Admirals who were responsible for performing the Buster Call all raced to follow Garp into the seas as they rushed their subordinates to hurry up with their ship's preparations.

Soon enough, all of them were already past the Calm Belt and were making their way toward the New World.

Let me know what y'all think!!
