I think its beautifully written due to the bitterness of a pointless death. Part of me wishes she would have killed the human monster first, though. I’ll be interested to see how you use her death to drive the plot forward for your MC. Despite the author note, I’m still half expecting a fake-out death here! Double fake-out?
I am a fan of the slow build. It kind of grabs your attention, because it slowly reveals the plot. Gives off a “Happy Death Day” vibe that I really like, and the first chapter does all the cool foreshadowing. I like it. It is different and attention-grabbing, and the MC makes just enough stupid decisions to create the necessary tension.
Ok girl, why casually walk up to the murdering psycho who just killed you?! You may come back, but I am sure it still hurts!!
Enjoyed the story within a story.
Definitely funny dialogue and fast pacing where you're just flying through it. I liked that it played up on the typical cliches and K-drama exaggerations. Felt familiar, but with a twist, which is always nice. Only complaint is I'm really not down for the rape-threat in Chapter 4 even if it's a joke. Washed away some of the light bubbly feeling from the previous chapters. Just taking it a tad too far for me.
Annnnnnd...
There are some pretty harsh comments sprinkled throughout the first few chapters, so just wanted to say chin-up author. You are doing a good job of putting forward something that is clean, readable, and is leaving enough bread crumbs that it feels familiar to the reader. Plot line is being laid out methodically. Assuming it will be OP MC from the tone, but that is a super popular webnovel trope.
Boo. This is kinda sad. All of the stuff that was erased was like proof of 3 years of effort and it is just gone.
I feel this in the depths of my reader soul!
Had to come back to say I absolutely didn't mean to suggest you compromise the level of descriptive detail, as I also thought the strength of your prose was spot-on. I think I just meant laying in/expanding more context vs. removing. Also, I keep checking my library to see if you've updated a new chapter, which means something is definitely going right here. I can't wait to read more! :)
