Honestly not as bad as the garbage title and summary would make you expect. At least it doesnt read as I have now infinity plus 2 damage but let me trade for infinity squared damage etc. the MC is the MC , just that no individual qualities. He has no talent but ya know doesnt matter. It was basically shoehorned in so that youd root for an underdog type of thing but no payoff and no actual setup or struggle to overcome. Could be a good mindless read cause I actually am a little curious as to the other world trading works. That part is at least a bit intriguing. But the actual survival hunting story is your typical. Oh wow super mc doing super stuff. Some randos randomly hate on him for not beleiving he’s actually that good. And everyone else is 2 dimensional. So yeah good for a mindless read
Hi so summary is inaccurate, first chapter gains the system AFTER entering the academy. This kinda changes the MC from someone who wants to make the most out of life to oh wow ima do military stuff because I want to be hokage. Also apparently reborn in a parallel world? Hardly see how this affects the character at all. So tldr clickbait summary: but it’s at least written okay so this story could develop into soemthing
Started okay, but overall the story is just lacking and tropish as well. Characters feel flat. The MC faces no struggles. Oh he got kidnapped?? Next chapter he escapes. Oh he gets chased. Next chapter he’s no longer chased. Etc. Honestly just a sort of eh novel. Everythign else is sort of okay. But it just isnt very dynamic. Okay for a short read
Like it’s not bad, dont get me wrong. It’s an okay read. But it just doesn’t feel like anything that I can be really interested in. It feels a bit one dimensional. Get points, get energy, evolve animals, evolve self. Some human stuff and then more tree stuff. It’s like a bowl of mac and cheese, I’ll eat it but it’s missing bacon and a toasty top
Pretty decent read. Standard pet stuff. Catch em all etc. class jobs can be a bit confusing especially cause tamers and trainers are different jobs yet the tamer test covers trainer topics and it’s reading like tamer is just trainer but in the field. The characters are enjoyable even though they are tropic. Follows the tropes, but it doesnt ruin the overall story
Instead of 2 stars -3 stars . Plot progression is okay, the actual science stuff is honestly done kinda eh, it does its job and still dont think too much about it. I will admit that the politics are a little interesting but still everyone is a flat 1-d character (save raymond, exploit raymond, raymond is great) and raymond doesnt even have much of a personality. He’s just doing things, and i guess thats fine cause meteor, but what little we see of him acting is the lemon chapter and his condescending view of people
Turn off your brain for some stereotypical nationalistic racist work. All the other countries are doing bad except blank country. Replaced china with the US, but it makes no difference. Also you’ll notice that another story about the encryption one is also in the US randomly. And both characters are named Raymond. So with this we can assume it’s just translating choices so we dont go “oh another stereotypical china is best” . Also repeated chapters 3x so far
Mediocre at best, some chapters are really short, very generic. Oh i have this super special awesome power because my pet lets me see all the information. And i can insta evolve them. And the pet had a super space that also evolves. And it can bind other pets . But then i can use those other pets as well. I’m a super awesome person and wow my people are super awesome. Basically the story is like that.
Eh not a bad read. It’s okay if you don’t think too much. Standard tropes apply ie face slapping, underdog mc does something that people don’t understand then turns out wow he’s so amazing, but interesting power system if only it was a bit better developed. Worth a read when you got nothing else. At the very least it’s a beast taming novel
Ah yis the ingenius idea of flipping the trope. Usually the transmigrator is the one that’s like ah yes i’m super lowkey expert with prodigy disciple this time the transmigrator is prodigy disciple with fake lowkey experts. Honestly you’d probably fall for the same thing given your bias. However it's only believable if after a time, the MC realizes they're not real experts. Overall a decent read, but how it'll turn out remains to be seen.
I think what’s important to note is that while yes the demons randomly showed up. It’s not unbelievable if you consider that the MC has only been in the world for 20 days and so wouldn’t know too much. At the same time, this is a bit more believable then some stories where you can find all the information you need online in a single night after transmigrating. Have you ever tried to cram APUSH in a night? That sh*ts hard. Now imagine a whole world where everything is both subtly different. And remember even american history is taught in a controlled manner, so combining with propaganda, it’s okay if things are the way they are. So long as the autho continues to slowly build the world is okie
There are two styles of isekai systems. The first came from the first couple system novels. The mc gets a system and discovers how to use it over time. The second comes with the knowledge and culture of there having been previous system knowledge and has more emphasis from the isekai part. So while it’s kind of eh that he doesn’t see the potential, it’s lowkey not all but somewhat okay that he isn’t currently using it to his full potential. We are often limited by our own imagination and things that exceed the imagination cant really be thought of. Perhaps his first life simply didnt have system novels and he just doesnt know how broken they are. And it looks like the author doesn’t plan on acknowledging that first life culture of webnovels and tropes. So world building so far ok
Overall a decent read, chapters are a bit short but it works. The characters are pretty nice. Of course they are a bit stereotypical but stereotypes work for a reason and it's not stereotypical in the cringey way yaknow. Some stereotypes are done poorly (cause they're all like wow I'm so woke let me not be this stereotype or let me use this stereotype, like that fake awareness you see) but this novel does it pretty decent. it doesn't feel awkward. slightly humorous in certain areas. Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler My perhaps beef with this story is that already you see the beginning of a "modern martial arts world" His landlord might be some sort of martial artist, the criminal apprehended was also a martial artist. And supposedly spirit qi doesn't exist on Earth, but you got external physical cultivators who cultivate internal qi i guess. And then there's a physique cultivation and stronger than a normal man etc. But despite this , the world building is still okay. But I have a feeling it's going to go all in on the typical martial arts modern world (but hidden) thing. S only 3/5 for world building
Can’t get past the first couple chapters. Already glaring flaws in the story. MC during a beast tide picks up attributes and instantly becomes trainee level warrior. Literally at the same time people are like go back inside MANY times but then the author skips over and he ends up at battlefield. Also dumb how he doesn’t have to be near a beast or anyone really to pickup stuff. Magical fire wolf drops orb and he picks it up. It gives him magic fire ball skill cause of course. And then you have the shock oh wow didn’t know the scrawny kid could kill a wolf reactions. Also remember supposed to be a deadly beast tide, but he could leisurely think while everyone around him is telling him to go back. Andyeah just overall poorly done kinda annoying to read.
Look overall this story had so much potential. Based on the idea of the dragon gate anything could become a dragon. However, right off the bat we see problems propping up. In the beginning MC Silk Farmer accidentally eats poison and sleeps w/ FMC. Obviously she’s so BEAUTIFUL and a Virgin and she’s now tainted or whatever cause MC is low class. But they escape. The escape was ehh. FMC is supposed to be some super talented conqueror or whateva but she useless. Next introduce stereotypical love rival. And MC pretends to be a servant to FMC. Love rival asks questions to check if MC is really a servant , so he asks about dragons. MC obviously replies. Here’s the thing though, throughout this entire time we’ve had to piece together small pieces of the past MC’s life. And while that’s not bad as a mysterious plot element, it’s poorly executed and leaves the story feeling jagged and disjointed. Later on we find MC was a super talent cause of course he was but his dragon regressed into silk worm I guess. Etc etc. either way tons of plot holes. Tldr: stereotypical plot with stereotypical chaRacters and below subpar execution. Could’ve been really good if they just built up things better. Read if you can turn off your brain and just suspend disbelief CONSTANTLY
