Once Pepper reached her room she closed the door behind her falling backwards onto the door breathing a little bit harder her face was flushed red she felt a heat resonating from her.

With my success in passing the second survival test I finally became a student at the institute according to director Grimalkin I thought I was already a student by the time I passed the first test, but it seems that I was wrong.
My result on the second test was no different than the first one my team got it the first place that earned us several points and some privileges at the institute such as access to the third level of the library we have res free hours to use the elementary rooms I don't know exactly what that they are, but if their name is not completely absurd I believe that they must be rooms with elementary saturated energy perhaps to the point that elementary energy creates elemental phenomena such as the room of the wind element being a storm but without water or rays.
I'm really curious to see them, but with the result of the test, you also saw some things that are not as cool as my rank is still the first one, I continue to receive points, but this is the only thing that now has no privilege to be the first in the rank, but the negative thing about it is that anyone who rises in rank gets bonus points for the bigger the difference in the rankings, that means I'll receive several duel invitations now because even though they don't have much hope of defeating me if a miracle happens and losing the winner does not have to worry about keeping the first place because just by winning the duel he will already earn a small fortune in points.

But going back to the task list, I found sertane tasks that seem more like tests than a task like surviving x days in the emerald forest alone or in a group doing it solo you will earn more points even have exploration goals for the forest like walking x meters to within the forest it ended up separating the forest on several levels until it reached the center of it, which is obviously rewarded with a very large amount of points and a level three resource for each member of the group.
I believe that my team would only be able to go to the heart of the emerald forest when we are all reached the gray core.
What I didn't quite understand was that some of the tasks have a G marked on them, maybe it's that they come from the adventurer guild but if it came from it, it should have a rank to accept if writing a little mystery to solve on them.
Finishing the list of tasks I choose not to do one and decide to go and see the new features available.
To my surprise, I don't know anything that is new on the list, they should put an explanation next to the name of the material, nor does it have an indication of the element that the resource has.
Because you have to make the only thing I can do difficult and copy the lesta or try to memorize it despite having an enhanced memory decorating a huge list of names that mean nothing to me and a difficult task.
I will have to spend a lot of time to learn the meaning of each item or I have to find someone who knows them Professor Frey must know the subjects since he teaches magic materials, but I doubt he has the bag to teach me how to the whole list he is a nice guy and a good teacher more min who is so helpful so maybe he will tell me where I can learn more easily or if he has a guide already made.

The advanced combat course is on the list I doubt that new colleagues should form a new class.
There are more courses on junk subjects like history courses focused on neighboring kingdoms and on wars I don't find them very interesting to learn history I just need to go to the library.
To my disappointment, the courses I am interested in such as elementary flow studies, manipulation of the wind element, studies on aura and even the rune matrix course can only be taken when I complete my current courses, which are prerequisites for the new courses .
I also discarded courses such as blacksmithing, jewelery and sewing in addition to already know techniques for basic repair and maintenance of my equipment. I have no interest in being a basic craftsman, the only handicraft I am interested in and the manufacture of runes because I feel it is not. but I have an advantage because of my eyes and because I believe that by studying them I will have a better understanding of mana and the elements that make up my new world.
I thought about writing myself in the manufacture of medicines and poisons because I think they are extremely useful to survive, but again I need to finish my course in magic materials to be able to write in this course.
I feel extremely frustrated that the new courses that I can take don't interest me and those that I want to write to, I can't take them .
When I finished regretting I discovered a course that I can write myself and I am interested in the study of elementary interaction I believe that it can help me a lot and it looks very interesting .

Hello! Author here. Felt like this would be a long note, and the author's thought won't be enough.

Just wanted to let everyone know what kind of web novel this is and how I'm treating it.

First off, I'm only going to do this in my spare time. So I won't be doing daily updates anytime soon. I still have my work which pays the bills, and sadly, writing does not. So unless I'm getting paid for this (enough to cover my bills), then I won't be making it full time. Which leads me to the second note.

I'm writing as a hobby, hence I won't sugarcoat the fact that I'm still an amateur writer. No amount of online courses or teachings won't make me a celebrated writer overnight. Which is why I'm not seeking monetary remuneration from this at all. I'm simply writing for fun, and I will use this medium to improve myself in the future. My plan is to finish this web novel and then hopefully, get a professional editor at that point before self-publishing it for myself. 

So I'll continue with my weekly (sometimes twice a week) releases until then. I don't want to drag the story around until I reach 1000 chapters, so the arcs and volumes might be shorter than the other web novels out there. If this part bothers you then I'm sure there are hundreds of other web novels that publish more than 10 chapters a week.

The decision that Scarlet made wasn't an easy one. For an artiste or celebrity whose fame had just begun to grow, taking a hiatus from work was akin to never being able to return to the showbiz world. The lifespan of a celebrity is short and a hiatus could permanently impair future opportunities. Yet, under Alex's convincing, Scarlet still decided to let go what she had built up so far.
"Are you sure about it?" Pamela asked. Jupiter Records was not only losing their biggest source of revenue but also their biggest talent from the decision. While the CEO of the recording company had nothing but gratitude towards Scarlet, Pamela was faced with mixed emotions at Scarlet's decision to leave. The five-year contract was coming to an end and Scarlet decided that she wouldn't renew it.
Orita was overjoyed when she heard that Scarlet was coming home. At the same time, Alex decided to slow down on her work and attend an art school to become an illustrator. The sisters decided to still focus on their luxury brand's business while studying and the butler was more than happy to be of assistance. Orita also offered to help manage it on their behalf so that her daughters could focus on school.

"Maybe in a few years," he replied and nobody could persuade him otherwise. Jake was also unable to get Jasper to reconsider so they let the matter rest.
The announcement that soon followed after the Golden Pineapple Collaboration announcement caused yet another huge wave. With both Wilde daughters announcing their official hiatus from the entertainment industry, there were many conspiracy theories surfacing on the internet. While some theories were convincing and entertaining, others were absurd and ridiculous. Whichever it was, the internet was set ablaze with both Wilde sisters becoming hot topic searches.
Ming Yang was rather understanding about Scarlet's decision and told the young singer not to worry. He would still continue his investigations and uphold his part of the bargain while Scarlet attended school. Scarlet promised to keep in touch with the CEO and agreed that she would be in frequent contact with him about Golden Frost's collaboration.
There was still some time before the school term and bridging program started for the sisters so after they announced their hiatus, Orita booked a two week trip for mother and daughters to go on a cruise. She trusted her butler to handle the necessary preparations for the university applications and left everything else to the servants.
When Wilmer heard that his wife and daughters were spending some quality mother-daughter bonding time over a two-week cruise trip, he could only cry bitter tears of envy. Orita showed no pity for her husband and chided him over the hologram device. Scarlet and Alex giggled in the background as Wilmer whimpered. Orita then told him to hurry up and finish his work so that they could go on their second honeymoon trip to make up for the lost time.
Wilmer's eyes softened and he sighed with a small smile, knowing full well that it might be impossible again this year. Up till now, the CEO still hasn't found much about Anastasia. With Danny and Elfie's help, they were able to prevent Anastasia's influence from growing any larger but the threat still remained. EZ Express may not be as powerful and rich, unlike the Wilde empire that had grown and expanded over the years. However, Anastasia has been up to some really shady deals. All those government contract jobs that EZ Express won sounded fishy to Wilmer and Danny was currently assisting him to investigate further.
Orita knew that look. Wilmer didn't like lying to her and he wasn't the kind of person who would make false promises just to make her happy. It was one of the things that made her fall for him but also one of the things that frustrated her most about him. Not wanting to put her hardworking and secretive husband in a spot, Orita shifted the conversation to a more cheerful topic.
"Alex and Scarlet are finally going to pursue higher education. Can you guess what courses they are applying for?"
Wilmer looked at Alex who had a mischievous grin and Scarlet who had mastered the art of poker face.
"Alex is going for a design course, right? I heard that you want to be an illustrator?" Wilmer guessed and Alex pouted.
"Someone must have told you! How did you know?"
Wilmer laughed. It's nice to know that his daughter hadn't changed all that much over the years. Alex was still very much an open book and after six years, he was happy that he still hasn't lost touch yet.
"But daddy, I'm not just studying how to be an illustration. To be more precise, I'm going for a double art major in fashion and design."
"Oh?" Wilmer was surprised. "Is it related to Golden Frost?"
Alex smiled. "Of course! I'm actually the lead designer for Golden Frost and I come up with a lot of the concepts for the products produced. Scarlet's more of the business brain for our brand."
Orita and Wilmer were impressed by the detailed plans about Golden Frost and Scarlet turned a riper shade of red with every passing minute as Alex continued to sing her praises. Unable to endure the embarrassment, Scarlet begged her sister to stop much to her parents' amusement.
When it came to guessing what course Scarlet wanted to study, the CEO was surprised to know that the singer wasn't going to learn creative writing or journalism. It wasn't even media-related.
"Could it be business? So that you can run Golden Frost better or help Jasper with Kiwi Cat Studio?"
Scarlet shook her head. "I actually thought about it but eventually decided against it. Like writing, it isn't necessary to study business just to do well in it. I've chosen something more abstract that can help me achieve what I'm looking for in every aspect of my life."
Even with the hint, Wilmer still wasn't able to guess it. He did come close on his fifth guess when he mentioned psychology but Scarlet didn't let her father go so easily. Eventually, Wilmer had to give up much to Orita's amusement.
"Darling, don't be sad. I don't blame you at all. The course Scarlet chose surprised me initially too," Orita tried to cheer her husband up and Scarlet took pity on her father.
"I'm going to study philosophy," she told him with a shy smile.
It was true that Scarlet spent a long time after she decided to pursue her further studies. Although Alex told her a lot about the courses available in universities within New York, Scarlet didn't like any of the courses they offered. They might be useful but for a writer like her whose talent is in researching, none of what the university offered appealed to her.
Business was something that could easily be learnt and picked up from the numerous books that people have already written. Art was subjective. Music wasn't interesting because she was already a professional after working with Lin Lin for so long. Creative writing wasn't interesting because Scarlet's style of writing was unique to her and she'd already learnt from Debbie all the writing techniques that they taught in universities when she was younger. There really wasn't anything new.
Scarlet did think about studying psychology because they had a course called criminology. She wondered if studying that would give her the skills necessary in order to catch Anastasia. However, she soon realised that it wasn't a rosy path. Even if she studied and graduated as the top of her class in psychology, she wasn't going to be offered a position in the international criminal investigation department. Elfie's involvement was a special case and Scarlet knew that even if she was accepted to participate in the raid, Wilmer would never allow it.
Hence, she decided on the one that looked the most interesting that was rather similar to psychology but different in its own way. The singer thought that psychology and philosophy was the same thing at first but after two nights of in-depth research, she now understood that they were complete opposites.
While psychology was backed up by numbers and data, philosophy was built upon expression of thought. Psychology was science but philosophy was art. It was a no-brainer after that discovery and Scarlet quickly made her mind up.
Wilmer was slightly surprised at the choice but after thinking about it, he smiled and praised Scarlet for choosing something that he thought was perfect for her. To study something so abstract was something that they would expect out of Scarlet. Over the years, Wilmer and Orita had learnt to expect the unexpected with the young writer who was vastly different in both mentality and capability when compared to Alex. If Alex was like a steady tractor then Scarlet would be like a robotic vacuum cleaner.
The call ended not long after and Scarlet was excited. In less than a month, she would be going for her bridging program at the university. While not much had changed, she could finally relax a little and be herself now that she was no longer scrutinised by the public.
"I can't wait to go to school and not need to wear make-up and diet all the time," she told Alex who agreed.
"It'll be great to be able to wear a loose hoodie and jeans again. I hate heels!"
Orita sighed at her daughters' conversation with a small loving smile. It was nice to have her family back.

    Qin Guan returned to his dormitory and worked on the papers for Huang Jiagia during his leisure time.  He would test her that weekend.

    Before the weekend, Qin Guan’s date request was turned down by Cong Nianwei once again. Irritated by his roommates’ displays of affection in the dormitory, Qin Guan took the papers and headed for Huang Jiajia's home to avoid beating his friends up.

    Qin Guan entered Huang Jiajia's home and found her sitting at the table quietly with her pen and draft paper. This will be my last chance to earn his praise. It was their last lesson before the General Examinations and the finals. It was showdown.  

    Qin Guan spread the papers on the table. "My papers include less subjects than your examination. Luckily, these courses are focusing on memory. You can work on them yourself. Today we’ll focus on the five main subjects. Let's start with Chinese." Huang Jiajia nodded eagerly and picked up the first paper. Lowering her head, she began to write quickly. Meanwhile, Qin Guan read a book beside her.

    June was drawing near, and the temperature was getting higher and higher, signalling the arrival of summer vacation. However, before the summer holidays, students had to go through the examination period.

    There was also a heated competition for the scholarship that semester. For Qin Guan, who had a balance of more than 30,000 yuan, that scholarship was still a large source of income. All that money was his reward for working hard and his capital for launching his business. As a young man, I can only gradually accumulate a limited capital.

    The leaves outside the windows rustled in the breeze as an early summer cicada sang along, joining their private celebration.

    Under the yellow lights inside the house, two figures were sitting at a table. One of them was writing swiftly while the other was reading carefully. What a peaceful time!

    When Huang Jiajia finished writing, Qin Guan looked up from his book. He corrected her papers with a red ballpoint pen as Huang Jiajia craned her neck to look, sitting on pins and needles.

    The test would reflect her level in the General Examination in a way, and the result of the General Examination would affect her chances of getting treated to snacks by Qin Guan and dating him. Actually, Huang Jiajia was over-thinking things. The General Examination would only cover the most basic knowledge points of the textbooks.

    When Qin Guan was done, Huang Jiajia was pleased by the results.
    Chinese: 98
    Math: 88
    English: 92
    Chemistry: 90
    Science: 91
    Except for Math, all her other scores were above 90. Her total score was 459, which meant that she could possibly enroll at a community college.

Huang Jiajia was really excited. Although she hadn’t passed Math, she had made great progress. She was just thinking of acting like a spoiled child and begging Qin Guan for praise, when he looked at his watch and stood up. It was not early for him, so he planned to leave. They would meet again after Huang Jiajia had taken the General Examination. 

Huang Jiajia was both angry and disappointed. Qin Guan’s mind was occupied by his courses, his part-time jobs and Cong Nianwei, so she had failed to find a way in.

    She threw her teddy bear on the floor with force. I hate him and love him at the same time! He’s such a simple-minded man, both in my reach and out of it... As Huang Jiajia thought about how she had gotten along with Qin Guan, she picked up her teddy bear again and held it in her arms.

    Unaware that he had broken her young heart, Qin Guan was riding his shabby bicycle on his way back to college. Huang Jiajia’s good scores had given him a sense of achievement that had healed the wound caused by Cong Nianwei. He parked his bike and returned to his dormitory with his books.

    All his roommates were studying inside. What cunning boys! They pretended to be at ease in the classroom, but reverted to their original status when they came back home. They were the most annoying students in the whole college. They acted relaxed before others, smiling about their high scores as they said, "It was unexpected! I was only listening to the tutor randomly. How could I have gotten such a high score?"

3 days had gone by just like that..... and today, Santa was finally leaving Baymard.
But since he would be coming again once Penelope signed the treaty.... everyone chose to go later on, and not right now.
And since they were allowed to work, they immediately started thinking of going job hunting and so on.
Sure, they were royals..... but ever since they had stepped in here, they had seen other royals worke as well.
Mother Kim was a teacher, and even king Landon worked at the hospital and every other place one could imagine.

Yesterday when they looked at the newspaper, they saw several job ads in them.
One should know that at the end of every semester, students graduated and started looking for jobs.
Hence there were always people trying to get into the job market.
.
Even those who were on holidays still needed summer jobs... hence the newspapers were always filled with several jobs offered daily.
Of course, some jobs like junior electricians..... or any job that was deeply rooted with Baymard's secrets, were completely unavailable to Non-Baymardians.
On the newspapers, it would say things like: 'Must be a citizen of Baymard'... And so on.
.
Yesterday, they had spent their entire time preparing for some job interviews.
They had read articles on the newspaper about prepping for jobs... as well as what they should bring to these interviews.
The whole thing seemed so fascinating.... especially to the women.
One had to know that all they did all day.....  was sit at home, make sure that the maids had prepared their husband and children's meals, run the household, and so on.
They actually never touched anything, so this was a whole new experience for them.

As for the men, they couldn't leave as well.... as 4 days from now, they would begin a test trial on how Baymard was going to train their knights.
They would train until Santa came back.
And apart from that, they were also allowed to take up part time jobs if they wanted to.
Staying in Baymard for months, would definitely run their money dry.... whether they were nobles or not.
Hence getting a job was definitely for the best.

In respect to the children, they were all starting school in 2 days time.... so of course they would stay as well.
Yes.... Duchess Mina and Duke Samula had decided to allow their children stay in Baymard and study for both semesters.
And in summer, they would come back to Carona as well.
One had to look at the bigger picture here.
If they could get educated, then when they graduated.... they could help in making changes within Carona.
After all, like Landon had said: the future were the youths.

And so as to keep their sons sword fighting skills intact..... they had decided to leave 4 of their most trusted guards with them while they stayed.
One had to know that knight pages trained almost everyday..... hence they needed the guards to keep their sons on their toes.
At least once a day, ther sons should practice fiercely for an entire hour.... or more.

As for their daughters, they were more than pleased to elevate them... as they felt like the courses offered here, were way better than what was offered at Carona.
So far, their daughters had taken etiquette classes, Poetry, reading and writing classes.... as well as simple math classes (addition & subtraction)
But when they saw Linda and all the other children here.... they were completely stunned by how intellectually smart they all were.

Anyway... Today was August 10th, and school had already resumed on the 3rd of the month.
But even still, Landon had assured them that it wasn't too late for the children to join in the semester.
Presently, they had all signed up for:
•Math 1: Addition & subtraction 
•Math 2 : Division & Multiplication
•Pyron 1: Nouns, adjectives, Reading, writing...etc
.
Of course those were just their main courses.... as they had other courses like Arts & Craft, History, Poetry, Gym, and so on.
So one could say that these children would have their hands full for the rest of the semester.
Bottom line, Santa was leaving with half of the royal guards..... and neveryone else was staying here until the treaty was brought back.

Looking at the goods that he had stocked up on his ship, Santa couldn't help but smile a bit.
For this first round, he had only chosen things that were a necessity for his people.
Things like Mattresses, beddings, books, pens, winter jackets, .... and so on, were his first line of action.
.
Before leaving, he had spoken to Landon about the price.
Landon wanted these items to be accessible to even peasants, so there was no way that he would allow anyone to sell them at a ridiculously price.
Hence he came up with a price range for various areas..... based on the exportation tax fees and so on.
For example, if 12 pencils cost 3 Copper coins.... then Carona could sell it between 3-8 Copper coins per pack.

Landon had added shipping rate, exportation tax, middleman fees and so on... to the that initial price.
But since Santa would usually buy in bulk/wholesale... the price should automatically become cheaper, when compared to shipping individually.
At the end, he had cost down on a lot of fees.
Time passed by swiftly.... and once everything was finally packed, Santa came back to say goodbye to everyone.
.
"Woo... Bro, they're so mean.
Can't they at least pretend to miss me a little?" Santa said while hugging Landon and pouting like a little kid.
Landon shook his head and smiled awkwardly.
This guy was truly shameless!
Everyone felt a headache coming along, as they looked at the giant sized child before them.
The children smacked their hands at their foreheads, as they too felt like this guy way too childish..... even for them.
And they should know, they were the ones who were kids.
.
"Ermmm...Uncle, you know we'll miss you right?
So stop crying." Replied one of the children.
"Yeah uncle.... we'll miss you for sure."
"Uncle, haven't I told you that you're the best in the whole wide Hertfilia?"
The children tried to coax this baby-like uncle of theirs until they saw signs of his 'mood' cheering up.
.
Santa raised his head and looked at them sadly, with a poppy dog look on his face.
"Really?..... You'll miss me?" Santa asked pitifully.
"For sure uncle." They replied.
"Okay... since you'll all miss me too much, then come back with me."
"__"
"Uncle.... please get on the ship!"
"Farewell uncle!"
"Goodbye!!"
