"He's different than what I expected" is the first thought that pops into my mind as I look at the scrawny kid in front of me. His hair is dark brown, almost black, and his eyes are a deep green similar to wet moss. His professor proceeds to explain that he is an undergraduate student that is a great writer. But is unsure if he should pursue this job or another, more stable job. His concerns are valid. Anyone in this field, especially me, is worried about what their future will look like. Writing is a tough industry to be in. One minute your book could be a success, the next minute it is sold online for a quarter. And that is only if you pursue a writing career. 

If you are an editor, jobs can be hard to find. Yes, everyone wants to be published and there are thousands of people every day who bring in book proposals, but editors only see the books that make it, interns or other workers take care of reading the manuscripts while the editors help the authors get to the next stage of advertising the book and making it a success by offering revisions that authors may or may not take. It is especially hard because editors need to stay on top of the social world because interests and the way people advertise change in a flash. It can be really frustrating sometimes. 

Putting my hand out, I introduce myself to the boy. He takes it with a firm shake that surprised me from his small build. He seems shy, but he has a confident shake and that is important in this industry. If you are not confident in yourself, no one else will be confident in you. I learned this very quickly in my internship. 

After a little bit of push and pull, I find out that his name is Shane and he is only a freshman with parents who want him to do accounting even though he barely passed his math class in high school. 

As the conversation continues, he becomes more and more open with me and his sentences get longer and longer. It makes me proud and happy that he is slowly opening up to me. I want to be her mentor and his friend. I don't want this to be strictly business. I have enough of that in my life. Plus, this will be my first friend post-trauma. This is a significant point in my life and I need to take advantage of this opportunity.  

"How would you like to have lunch today? Do you have any classes?" 

"No, I finished earlier. I have short days on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but my Tuesdays and Thursdays are absolutely dreadful." 

"Get used to that. If you are a writing major or minor, the majority of the classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but as you get farther into your schooling, you will have Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays off."

He sits there silently for a moment or two, possibly contemplating what his future schedule is like. Remembering my earlier question, I redirect the conversation. 

"Would you like to have lunch today? You can ask me any questions that you would like and I will answer them the best that I can." 

"That would be great! Is there somewhere on or around campus we can go to? I don't have a car." 

"Of course! We can go to Starbucks and sit at one of the tables there. It shouldn't be too busy around this time." 

After saying goodbye to his professor, we walk over to Starbucks in friendly silence. It wasn't awkward, mostly because students were walking around here and there either talking to friends or on the phone.

I take Shane's order and tell him to find a table as I walk to the line. It's long as it usually is, but the workers are always quick to everyone's drinks out. A couple of minutes later, we are sitting across from each other at a small table in the corner. The volume is lower here, possibly because everyone sits in the middle, but it's nice. We can have a conversation without having to yell at each other. 

"Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?"

His question catches me slightly off guard, but I should have expected it. I mean, I am helping him choose whether writing is the career path that he wants to pursue. 

"Sure. Is there anything specific you want to know?" 

"No, not really. Maybe you can talk about how you first decided you wanted to write and what steps you took to get to where you are now." 

"Okay, let's see. I guess I can start from the beginning. Uh, I didn't have the best home life and I found that writing was something that always helped me calm down and cope. It still has the same effects today which is another reason I continued my writing career path. I find that inspiration is everywhere, even in places you don't expect, so as long as you know grammar skills and how to make characters rateable, you can write a story. 

"When I first started college, I really didn't know what I wanted to do. Similar to you, I was worried about the financial stability of having a writing career. It can be tricky, the market is always changing. And I needed money, I was on my own at that time and I had to take care of myself and some way to pay my tuition so my loans weren't as high as they would have been. I found a couple of apps where you could write and get paid. It wasn't much, but when I found out that people actually liked what I wrote, I became more motivated to get my words out there. 
"A couple of years later I was about to graduate with a bachelor's degree in writing. At this point, I had no idea what I could do with this degree or if I wanted to continue schooling. I looked up a few programs at colleges and decided to go to graduate school. I wanted a master's degree, at least, this way I could teach a writing course in high school if I could not find a job for a publishing house and I didn't have any ideas for a novel. 

"And then, last spring, I graduated with my master's degree and I work at a publishing house, not far from here, as an editor. But, I should back up a bit. When you are in graduate school, the program typically has a mandatory course where you have to intern at a location that you might be interested in working with after you graduate. I chose the publishing house I currently work at and interned there for the two years that it took to get my master's degree. After I graduated, they kept me on the team because they liked my work ethic, and I was friendly with the head of the editing department. It really helps to network no matter what field you are going into. 

"I think, if you really want to know whether writing is for you, you should give it a shot. I can mention your name to my boss and he may not be able to give you the job I had because you don't have a degree, but you can start as a lower-level employee and then work your way up."
He sits in his seat silently for a minute, absorbing all the information while he takes a couple of sips of his coffee. I don't blame him. I could have given him the condensed version of how I decided to be an editor.

"Wow. I feel like you. I have always used writing as a way out. I like being able to create my own world with it's own drama or-or a story with a happy ending that I can look forward to giving th charayeriers. It gives me hope that even if my life isn't going great at this moment, at least I can write about how I would like my life to be."

It is in this moment that I am more grateful than I could ever express for being introduced to Shane. He understands the need to write and how it provides an escape, a way out of reality and into a new world that we can mold anyway we want to. For us, it is another, happier, life. 

"It is great to have someone who understands the impact of writing. Just hearing you talk makes me certain that you should be a writer. Of course, discuss this with your parents, they can be tough, but I would use some of your electives to take a few writing courses, preferably creative writing, so you can see if this is the right fit for you."

"Thank you. I would like to try to get an internship at the place you work. Would you be able to give me someone's contact who I can call to set up an interview?" 

"Of course. When I go to work, I will ask my boss whose number to give to you. I am really glad that we were able to do this. Would you like to meet again sometime?"

"Yes, if I want to convince my parents to let me pursue this, I need to have all the facts."

"Great, let me know when you want to meet again. You have my number, just call or text me and we will set something up." 

"Thanks again, Rose. I will see you soon." 

"See you then." 

He leaves the table taking his coffee with him. I am glad we were able to do this. I think this is definitely going to help me, and in the process, help him as well.

1. For authors who are talented, just got into writing stories, and takes writing seriously as a career. 
For these guys, their diet looks like this. 
Eat 1 year of instant noodles. 
Eat 1 year of lasagna. 
The third work is amazing! Eating nice meals. 
2. For authors who are _not as_ talented, just got into writing stories, and takes writing seriously as a career. 
Eat 1 - 2 years of dirt first. 
Eat 0 - 2 years of instant noodles. 
As an old author with good work ethics, editor-sama is willing to support your work with nice exposure. 
Through years of practice, there are no major flaws in the works anymore. 
Ah. Finally. Reached the lasagna level. 
3. For authors who are _ridiculously_ talented, just got into writing stories, and (maybe) takes writing seriously as a career. 
Their first work is a hit. 
Fate wants to give these guys stacks of cash. Things are just meant to be. 
Though in most cases where the author's first work is a hit, the author probably had loads of experience already. 
- Perspective -
It takes a couple of months, or a couple of years of college to get a diploma. 
It takes 4 years to get a college degree. 
Years invested + tuition cost = a degree. 
A top writer earns more than some of the jobs requiring a diploma. 
So why should there be instant successes when pursuing a career in writing? Just like any other job, there are techniques and rules to be learned. 
At least there isn't tuition in pursuing this career. At least there is some MGS.  
So don't give up! Keep trying! Keep improving! 
Focus on the progress made and the improvements! Will get there eventually!

This was a self-motivation / info about writing log. But I learned that my information was a bit off + don't have much to talk about. 
So this is my writing function testing ground now =)

Eventhough the move but they became closer than ever they started visiting each other going the distance and talking on the phone while he focused on graduating from college so he can get his managment degree so he could find a job to get settled and marry the love of his life. Meanwhile someone read his book and liked it so he contacted Damon to ask if he's interested on really becoming a writer and they met for lunch discussed the terms. Damon was excited to tell her about it he couldn't believe it and so he told her about it and he took the first flight to the city where she lived so they could celebrate and they celebrated and spent the night together he stayed there for 3 days when he came back he had to split his time between writing and college he used to get exauhsted staying up all night writing and studiying all day. He managed to write half the book but then made graduation his priority where he graduated with a management degree and started looking for a job. 2months later he finished the book and gave to the reader/publisher only he didn't know at the time few days later Damon got a call from him

Hi there... it will be hard for me to say this, but this novel is going on Indefinite Hiatus, and even probably dropped... maybe one day I will rewrite this, but currently I have not time for such a huge project as rewriting something that has over 200 chapters...
There are several reasons for this:
For first, this was my first ever story that I have wrote and then published. In November of 2018, I have started writing this novel, not even knowing what I was expecting from this. It was rushed, and I made many many mistakes over it.

Truth to be told, I have lost proper motivation to write this a long time ago, as I have long ago realized that this is just a dead end. The problem with this story is that I never had planned how the story would end, how it would progress, and everything was done during the run. Not talking about the plot holes and many other mistakes I have made.
I realized it when I started experimenting with other stories and other fanfics... Some head perspective and some not. Unfortunately for me... Holy Akashic Conqueror in its current form did not have perspective. Some chapters were written in a hard way, only by forcing myself to write it... I didn't even feel the joy in it for a long time.
The main problem, as many noticed, and I have realized it after writing other stories and looking back, was with the main character. I never planned properly his personality, traits and other things. It was one of my biggest mistakes, and now without rewriting the entire story, it is almost impossible to repair it. Also, relationship building was too poorly done here, almost non-existent.
Also, I noticed from the lack of comments, that novel was becoming generic, boring, nothing surprising happened... it became plain. The early chapters had many comments about the novel, which made me happy, and also feel that the novel was creating interesting in people. Now in the latest chapters, had very few or sometimes none, that was a sign for me... that the novel was getting worse as time went... Even reviews that were critical helped me, not the spam 1-stars, but really critical ones, to see where the problem lied... 
After some thinking, I have decided to put this novel on indefinite hold. Maybe in the future I will take this story and reset it entirely, correcting all of my mistakes. That would need a lot of time to do... 
Currently, I don't have that luxury, as I need to put most of my focuses on my University studies and soon to get a bachelor's degree in Law, and after that Master's degree, and then to Attorney exams in my country... I have an only a small amount of free time, and I decided it would be better to invest that time into a new project that was made with a clear goal and I have thought about it properly before writing something.
So, I have only left three active novels I have been writing, and even from that one is semi-active, and only two have a firm release schedule
Currently, I am writing only and mainly Mahouka: Irregular Fate, a cross-over with main focuses on Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei with elements of the Type-Moon Franchise. The release rate is around two chapters per month, one chapter is 5k words. I am also consulting the novel with Legendary_Person, author of three very good Mahouka fanfictions, go and check them out (The Eye of the Moon Plan, The Mikaelson Family in Irregular World, I Freakin Reincarnated with System), to prevent mistakes in Mahouka lore and others... 
The second novel, is Tower of Asura, a Tower of God fic, with elements of DxD and others, the release rate is one chapter per 2-3 months, one chapter is 20k, though this novel, would have chapter released only when it is done... published only on fanfiction.net 
Third and last move, a semi-active one, as writing this one is a bit harder compared to Mahouka: Irregular Fate and Tower of Asura is Immortal Warlock. Chapters would be released randomly when I write one I release one.
These are only three novels, that I currently see some meaning writing, especially Mahouka: Irregular Fate, that I decided to give it most of my free time.
I thank you from bottom of my heart for supporting me during writing this novel, and I hope that one day, we will see each other once again when I start rebooting this sometime in the future. 
For now, please go and read these three novels, if you want to read something from me again. Also, in these three novels, I have learned from my mistakes, during wring this novel or some other of my projects. So, I am trying to make better stories, more interesting ones, dynamic ones...

It's been 4 years since we all went to college

We are all done with college and all back together again 

We decided to go out and have dinner and catch up 

I got ready I did my hair and makeup and then I went to my closet and picked out the dress that I wore to graduation 

I put on my heels and then go and find Xander to see if he's ready 

When we get to the restaurant Xander says "reservations for Rutter" the hostess nods and says "right this way" 

When we get to the table everyone's there 

We all hug one another 

Xander gets up and says "I'll be right back"

After Xander leaves i start conversation with Rosalynn 

"So Rosalynn what are you doing now that your out of college"

She said "well during college I got my doctorate degree and now I'm a surgeon what about you" 

I smiled and said "I got my degree in writing and now I'm an author writing children's books and adult books"

Xander came back after a few minutes 

I looked at him and said "everything okay"

He smiled and said "yeah everything's perfect" 

I then said "so Nadia what are you doing" 

She smiled and said "I'm actually a house designer what about you Karsen"

I smiled and said "that's great" 

Karsen said " well I'm a teacher I got my degree in teaching" 

I smiled and said "I've always seen you as a teacher and I've always known you would do  amazing"

He smiled and said "thanks Adeline what about you Xander" 

Xander smiled and said "I'm actually working at a publishing company called Hales publishing company what about you Aisha how's my little sister"

Aisha said "I'm doing good and I work as a vet tech what about you  Conner" 

Conner said "I'm actually a doctor what about you Kale"

Before Kale could say anything the waiter came and took our order and drink orders 

After we gave our orders to him he left and went to give to the chief 

Kale said "I'm a teacher as well what about you Adin" 

Adin said "Next fall I'm playing for the Red Sox's what about you Octavia"

Octavia said "I'm actually a veterinarian what about you Baelfire"

Baelfire said "like Adin next fall instead of  joining the Red Sox's I'm joining the Cubs instead what about you Ainsley"

I smiled and said "following your dreams that's my girl"

Our food came not a minute later as I was eating Xander smiled at me

We started eating as I was eating in the middle of the cake was a giant ring

He said "Adeline Colette Gates you have made my life so much better since I met you and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you do me the honors of marrying me"

I looked at him with tears in my eyes and said "yes goofball I will marry you"

He gets up and slips the beautiful ring on my finger and then kisses me 

Mall our friends clapped and said "congrats guys"

After dinner we all went back home 

Me and Xander live in a 2 story house with 6 bedrooms, 6.5 baths, an entertainment room, a finished basement with a bar and a big back yard 

When we got home I went up to our room and took off my dress and heels and got dressed in one of Xander's shirts 

Xander came up behind me and said "did you have a good time baby"

I turned around and said "of course I did I definitely loved the part when you asked me to be your wife"

He smiled and said "me too"

after that we went to bed

Alright, so, I'm wanting to really write a SFW story, which I'm starting to ge into. But as I don't want to leave all of my MGR readers high and, well, dry, I need to figure out how I'm going to juggle this, the SFW story, and TCB.
To that degree, my plan for this once I get back to writing MGR (either this week or next week) is to do one chapter a week, but make it longer instead of the usual 1500-2000 word, to aim for upwards of 5000. This is mostly just to help me get into the flow of writing longer chapters so look forward to those. Will probably also try out something I've discovered from reading Worm, and try writing in Arcs. The first will be just introducing the world and I think setting up the actual 'ranching' premise earlier on. 
Both the Kanyon wolf and Serris will appear with revised scenes, though i'll probably mess with the 'when' the scenes happen.

I'm not going to write for maybe weeks or something but not totally dropping this work.I apologize to those who are expecting in this novel but I decided to start my career in modeling.  Writing is one of my favorite hobbies... writing what my imagination dictates me. Well I don't have an editor to make things easier. In my country.. people are not really exposed at english though, we can understand but not many can speak fluent, we use characters called Hangul. Same as Japanese when they have a hard time pronouncing english words and they are using  Kanji. I need to maintain my health and a lot of things to do, plus I'm still studying..
