Luke Knight, an orphan abandoned by his parents at birth, lives with his adopted parents in peace until a bewitching girl trick him and transports him to another world. The Lich King forces Luke to tell him his deepest desire, after learning his desire the Lich King promises to help him achieve his dreams. Only the Lich King will kill Luke once he has achieved his goals, and to achieve his goal he will be forced to face excruciating trials. He must find the courage to stand against the Lich King and survive doing so.

"You look good in that".

"Do you think so sister?", A young man wearing a lose long white sleeves, a dark blue mantle,golden bet, black pants and a pointed shoes, a silver ring with blue crystal-like rock on his right index finger, given to him when he was 18 by one of the Inner Magic Circle as a symbol of honor graduate of the school of magic. Besides that, a glimmering silver crest on his chest, with a dove on it below it, is a cross sword and a staff.

"Sure Tristan", a young woman, years older than the man was standing beside him, a slight whitening powder on his beautiful face and red lipstick to her already rosy lips, their beauties already proved they're siblings. Her long silver hair was let free, the same colour as her brother, a pink dress, over it was a red surcoat, similar shoes with her brother.

She noticed Tristan pouting face, "It's fine".

"I look like an old man with this", Tristan turned around from the mirror facing his sister.

"You can't blame the family worshipped the moon a long time ago causing the lineage to have the moonlight coloured har, that's what father told us", she smiled," Although you can use what you learned at the magic academy, things will get ugly".

Tristan released a sigh," I know", he went back facing the mirror.

Few seconds after Tristan finished dressing, a knock on the door and a familiar voice were heard.

"You can come in", she ordered.

A middle-aged man went in, wearing a laced up shirt with a leather belt on it, "You look beautiful Lady Jinx, you look prepared Ser Tristan", he commented.

"Thanks, Brian, we're ready to go now".

The Lunawon family own two estates; one is located in the capital, where Tristan and the central family lived. The other one is on the mountain of Niebla, surrounded by mist, the altar used a long time ago was located nearby.
 In the book of "Lunawon: History", it was stated that the head of the family chose to build his house in the top of the mountain because it's much closer to the moon and for its mist, he said that the effect of worshipping is stronger in such place. The family did gain a considerable wealth during those time, but the author left the theory that because the family was isolated from all the significant happenings in the kingdom. Like the war between the temporary allied force and the lich king Einz, a devastating earthquake that followed the greatest tornado of the century, named "Light Breeze" because of observable lightning inside it and other unfortunate events.

Somehow the family managed not to incur some loses that gave them advantages to others, but for some reasons, the author did not state the possibility of an unexisting god, possibly for fear in offending the current leader of the family.

Although the central family did not live there, it wasn't just left out for robbers, Tristan's  shy uncle named, Jacob, together with his family is taking care of the house, he remembered his uncle talking with excitement about the family's history with the moon god, so the practices were never forgotten after all.

The estate in the capital was a three-story mansion, the estate is a 5-acre land, although big enough, the other families have larger ones, the reason for this was its late building.

After walking down the stone stairs in front of the front door, the three of them were welcomed by a grand chariot.

"You first sister", Tristan offered with his right hand. Brian helped her get in, then Tristan followed," Thanks for the service Brian".

"It's not to mention Ser Tristan, It's my duty as the butler of the family, although, your thanks are appreciated", Brian accepted with a bow.

Tristan just smiled then Brian closed the chariot's door. After noticing that his passengers were now comfortable, the driver whipped the tack.

It's been a comfortable journey on the way to the castle where the party will be held, the ride passed through commoners, guards, and such, who stepped back after noticing the chariot of the Lunawon family. It took minutes, at that time the siblings talked about something but mostly it was just Tristan looking at the window, other people outside sometimes notice the young knight looking at them, so they had to smile and bow.

The older sister seems familiar with her brother habits, so she just kept quiet along the way.

The chariot finally arrived although they experienced some traffic along the way, other passengers took a long time to go out from their chariots, although it was a sudden party, hundreds were able to participate, all kinds of wealthy citizens from nobles, knights and merchants.

"No it's okay Ser Tristan", Tristan was about to turn over a gold coin to the driver, but the man declined with respect, he always does this, Tristan remembered so he did not force him.

Guards were assigned to check the people coming in, checking their pockets with consent but when they noticed Ser Tristan and his sister they did dare check and they received a smile for it.

In just seconds after they passed through the main door, Tristan already noticed one of the five knights talking with other people and then-

"Jinx! Here, Here!"

Tristan turned his head to the familiar voice, a short red-haired woman was waving both of her hands far away.
"Destiny", Jinx awkwardly chuckled, other people turned their head for a second, she was embarrassed, although she experienced the same thing over a hundred things somehow she did not get used to it.

"So I guess this is where I leave you, sister", Tristan excused himself politely," Uhm... then I'll excuse myself Tristan", she nodded.

"Hurry!Hurry!"

Tristan looked at her sister running, pulling his dress slightly with her two hands, towards Destiny. He then proceeded on walking towards the familiar knight. The man excused himself from the group, "The others have already arrived, but they're busy with their own things", the black-haired young man with sharp eyes with a smile.

"Now we just have to wait for the king to make his announcement, here", the man got two glasses from a nearby server.

"Not a drinker are you but let's consider it our last drink, who knows when we will get back", Tristan was not able to decline, he was about to finish the glass-

"You're drinking without me!", a man hugged over with his left hands through the black haired man right shoulder.
Tristan and the man chocked a bit from their drinks, Tristan was not able to notice the man from behind of the black haired man, he was possibly nearby and crawled or probably-

"Shite, Bore, you can't just use magic for childish things."

"I thought these types are for entertainment", the man laughed then looked at Tristan," Sorry about that Tristan, I'm just punishing Percy for drinking without me."

A spiky blonde hair with brown eyes, he's slightly shorter than Percy, the shortest in the ten true knights, in fact, next to Rain, his family is quite close to the king's, The king's late wife from his, the "Gaun", known for their common short statures and their vast pool of mana.

"It's okay, Can we get another three glasses this time", Tristan got the two glasses, and the server himself offered one to Bore, " Ohh.. thanks".
"Appreciated", the server walked away when he noticed the three of them were about to talk about something important.

"You've been here for how long, I heard you helped prepare this", Percy looked with interest.

"True, True, Lance has been talking with the father of the maiden he's interested in, then there's Rain, boasting to everybody he met that about improving his swordsmanship enough to defeat Lance, I mean what's that for, he's good with archery, what's that for? Going for a man-at-arms position? What do you think Tristan?"

"It's a good thing, Lance is considered one if not the best swordsman in whole Grimeria so defeating someone with that feat will be worth it in a biography, him being good with swordsmanship will be handy on our coming mission also", Tristan explained.

"Of course that's obvious, I'm an idiot".

"How can you not realise something obvious and understand complex magic patterns at the same time?", Percy said it with pity.

"That's mean", Bore reacted childishly, Tristan just looked at them, he was used to the relationship between the two, the persons he can talk with ease are the other knights, family members and few others.

"Wow it's Ser Tristan Lunawon, handsome as ever, I heard he's a graduate of the magic academy on the early age of eighteen, my nephew's twenty-five and he's only at third circle".

"You're not a local are you lady? Ser Tristan's feats are numerous, he's already a knight when he hit twenty, then became part of the true knight just a year after that,  was offered a position of Guild Master but declined the offer cause he wants to serve the people as a knight, he's an expert in weapons all you can name. He wins tournaments from time to time if he wants to, against all kinds even, the important thing is he's single".

Tristan was laughing inwardly when the noble women was talking about him with respect, he was able to hear the conversation from meters away because of his keen senses, natural on being a Lunawon but he blushed when they started talking about marrying him then he has to focus his attention to the squawling men in front of him.

It's when a middle-aged man wearing full body armour walked in front of the king's throne, breathed heavily then-

"Quiet Down People! The King is arriving!"

In the world of Grimeria, the Wizards have discovered an unknown evil force born that's has enough power to consume dimensions. The King, worried about the situation, decided to send five of the best knights of his kingdom to find and end the force before it's finally too late. Tristan was one of them, to be sent to another dimension through a teleporting door, the other four wore a proud look, well, he did but inside he was screaming.(Short Story)

 "No, we're good, we had fun watching this spar but we would not like to exhaust you before this event starts," Spoke the White Ghost saving everyone else the awkwardness of a battle against the Lich that brought down one of the game's strongest players with an utmost ease.
The lich in question smiled, "It is understandable, though we undead do not tire, or exhaust, we understand what you wish for. Then, shall we move to the main hall?"
White Ghost didn't miss the underlying scorn, but he didn't dare rebut the lich, he, who was the only one among the players that could possibly kill the Lich was stripped out of his prows, which would mean utter and complete humiliation to anyone daring to fight the lich. Even Warlord will find himself at a disadvantage, his Legacy enabled him to shine in the battlefield, against many opponents, and not a single NPC in a spar, he would be destroyed with ease if the Lich used the same combo again.
"Please lead the way," White Ghost said.
Du'Rhaza clapped his hands, teleporting all the players to the Bone Palace entrance, they were all being led by the death knights that were standing at the gate. There was no way for any of the players to sneak out of the encirclement to spy on the city's fortifications but from within the walls of the Undead City, they had seen what would make anyone's skin crawl.
Undead, not just regular tiered ones, but Death Knights and Doom Knights, standing on the rooftops, on the streets, and even on the walls of the Bone Palace, all gazing at them with unflinching, uncaring and pitiless eyes.
The players, against all their better judgment, felt like they were sheep being led to the slaughterhouse, and they had no say in it.
Once they arrived at the palace's main entrance, a chorus of sounds, music, unholy, loud, and blood pumping blasted from horns and drums that sounded through the whole of the city.
A voice spoke up, loud and clear for all to hear, even sounded higher than the beating of the blood shivering music.
"Leaders of the World of Conquest have arrived! Welcome to his Majesty, The Undead King's abode.
The players moved slowly up the spiraling stairs where many Undead waited in still attention. They all had their palms on the pummels of their swords.
Once the players reached the top of the tower and were in the King's Hall, they noticed the presence of many others at the side of the king.
Bar the six Abyssal Knights, who were forever present by the King's side, and at his command, Dagla was nowhere to be seen.
The Ice Queen, ruler of frost stood along with her companion Jura. The Elven King, one of the rarest NPCs to see in the world of Conquest, and presumably the mightiest of the Overworld dwellers.
Omen, The Hand of the Lords, a mighty half deity, who was able to single-handedly stop every adventurer from Conquest to obtain an ancient relic belonging to the God of the Night Nox. The Relic was presumed to be an S class legacy Item that could release the quest for the Night God Nox. But due to how powerful Jura was, no player was able to best him in a one versus one.
Balaam, the Oracle, the one who was responsible for the protection of one of the world's pillars. The mountain of Glory, that would hold the world of Conquest from submitting to chaos, and protecting I from external dangers as told in books. Balaam was not just a simple Oracle; he was a powerful entity on his own. Many tried to fight him and see what powers he had, and what forces he was prevented from entering the game world. But none managed to do so, and the Mountain of Glory remains standing to this day.
Lords and ladies of the World of Conquest, known by their neutral stand regarding the forces of the Undead have all been invited, some were dukes and counts belonging to the different kingdoms of the world of Conquest, and some were rogue powerful entities that accepted the King's Invitation.
The Undead King was sitting on his throne, a hand supporting his chin, and the other holding the skull on the armrest. Once the players entered the room, all eyes turned to them, for a fraction of a second then returned to where they were the first time. Speaking to each other, not caring for the presence of such people.
Perhaps the King's Invitation had exactly such a purpose, Warlord and Wan Yi, the hotheads of the group were the first to understand and be offended, but they were soon calmed down by their right hands. The rest didn't care, they wanted to see what was going to happen now.
Yet the final and most important character of the game was not present at all.
"Where is he?" asked Wan Yi.
"Who?"
"Skelly, I don't see him, isn't he supposed to be here, I mean this whole thing is about his coronation and stuff."
"You should know, that in these events the main character always enters last. He should be here any moment now, and this event will end and we will get our EXP and rewards for attending." Warlord spoke while having both hands folded in front of him.
"I bet he's trying to take one of the temples down while we're all gathered here." The guild leader of Arkadia spoke.
"I doubt it, at least for my region, I placed more than two thousand players to guard the entrance of the Ash King's temple." Zhang Shi spoke.
"Just two thousand?" the voice of a seductive beauty spoke through the hall.
It was no wonder that all these entities that were present in the hall could easily hear what the players were talking about.
"Do you think two thousand are enough to stop Kis'Shtiengbrah?" she added.
"Shit, it's her." Zhang Shi uttered.
"Oh, if it isn't you, who dared harm his majesty, Lord Kis'Shtiengbrah, how fortunate it is to see you here," Lilith Spoke in a cold tone enough to send shivers down the spine of a cold-blooded snake.
Zhang Shi backed up, his hand on his sword and ready to battle.
"Fret not, we are obliged by the Knight's code of honor, we do not attack our guests. Unless the guest is acting in a manner unbefitting of their status."
"Chill dude," Valentine said, "She's yanking on your chains, don't let her rattle you. They're all looking for an excuse to kill us, don't give them that."
"Smart man, still, you have not answered me, Follower of the Blood God. Do you believe two thousand are enough to stop the might of lord prince Kis'Shtiengbrah?"
"Yes. He could be strong, but the fortification I have in my kingdom is more than enough to stop even your undead army." Zhang Shi proudly declared.
"Is that so, then perhaps you shall be surprised," Lilith smiled.
Zhang Shi frowned, he immediately called his HQ and requested an immediate briefing and detailed report on what is happening under the cathedral that hosted the Ash King's temple.
The response came immediately, nothing was going on, and everything was perfectly good. No one trespassed into their kingdom and the players inside the dungeon haven't reported anything out of the ordinary.
Having been calmed by the good news, Zhang Shi smiled back at the vampire and said, "As I said, he can't do shit to my turf."
Not a second passed, a notification popped up in front of the players.
Conquest Server Announcement!
Player Kis'Shtiengbrah had successfully thwarted the plans of the Ash-King to offer players of the Northern Kingdom his Demonic Powers.
Currently, the Ash King's Northern Demonic Temple is no longer active!
"Bloody hell???" Zhang Shi blurted the words, unbelieving his eyes or ears.
Lilith's smirk only served to add more salt to his fresh wound as he called the HQ immediately.
"What the fuck is going on?!"
"Sir, we don't know, everything is perfectly fine, even the chalice, it's right here, that notification must be faulty!"
"Get Albert to explain!"
A few seconds later, the same player called Zhang Shi, speaking words that made him speechless.
"What's going on?" White Ghost barely managed to hold the scorn and ask a question properly.
"Albert says nothing is wrong with the server notification and he did take the chalice. But I don't understand if he did, why is it still in its place?" Zhang Shi asked.
"Do you have a player that could share a live feed from the temple?"
Zhang Shi hesitated at replying, but White Ghost said, "Dude, your temple is already ruined, there is no need for me to care or give a damn about what kind of stuff you have there, once Skelly took the chalice, all of that is useless, share the feed, I could probably see what went wrong."
Zhang Shi had to trust what conquest community called the mightiest strategist of the game had to say, perhaps he could see more than what Zhang Shi could, and even if he saw the traps and other surprises he had there, that wouldn't mean much anymore.
Zhang Shi shared the feed, and like what the player had just said, everything was intact, even the chalice was in its place.
However, White Ghost still frowned as he was checking the feed.
"Tell the player to look closely at the lava, something doesn't add up."
Zhang Shi did as asked and once the player focused on the magma, White Ghost smiled and said, "You better call your players and have them leave the area fast. Otherwise, they'll start dying."
"Why, what's going on?" Zhang Shi asked.
"The Lava current, on the far side of the lake, it's moving faster than near the bridge. They're in an illusion, all of that is fake. And if what happened in the first of Skelly's attacks on the chalice, a Sworn Stalwart might be there, your call."
Zhang Shi took a shocked breath and shouted orders for the players to cast Vows of Silence, a skill that could disable all the magic in an area.
Almost immediately after one of the players cast the spell, the whole of the cave morphed and changed to its actual current status, the chalice was no longer there, and an enormous Stalwart was Standing right in front of the player filming the whole thing.
The illusion was so strong that the player had not even noticed that his HP had drained to the critical level from just the Sworn Stalwart's presence in the vicinity.
Chaos unfurled as the Stalwart finally began its massacre.
Zhang Shi stopped the feed, saving himself further embarrassment.
Lilith didn't even need to speak, she didn't have to, Zhang Shi had been humiliated enough for one day.
Without a notice, two undead walked through the hall's entrance.
"Hey, supp everyone," Dave spoke in a cheerful voice, next to him was Dagla.
"You're a slave driver lord prince," Dagla was shaking his head.
"Well, you said the favor was too much, so…"
"Yes, yes, but I haven't cast an illusion such as that one in a long time," Dagla replied.
The two were smiling without a care in the world.
"Childe, I see you come with yet another successful raid upon the Ash King's dominion.
"Yeah, he's really bad at guarding his thingies. Oh, hey guys, you're all here," Dave said addressing the guildies.
"Sorry Zhang Shi, but honestly man, you should really level up your trapping techniques, a child would have seen through those, man."
Zhang Shi was about to go on a murder rampage, but it was clear to everyone that that was not going to happen, and if it did, it was nothing short than a suicide with all these powerful entities present right now.
"Lord, I have come to you with a great present," Dagla said.
"Well, speak, what is it that you wish to gift this King?"
Dagla smiled then clapped his hands.
Right after the hand clap, the sound of a vicious, thundering dragon roared in the skies above the Undead Realm.
The undead king waved a hand, causing the entire roof of the King's Hall to disappear or become see-through, Dave couldn't tell which at the time.
Right under the shine of the broken moon, the silhouette of a bone dragon flew across the sky.
The Bone Dragon, fully intact and vicious in nature roared continuously then it parched on one of the walls of the Undead City.
"A wonderful gift indeed, but, We have yet to know of the death of another Dragon but the one Our Childe had slain lately, is this the body of another dragon?"
"No, your majesty, in fact," Dagla hesitated then said, "This is the dragon that Lord Kis'Shtiengbrah had slain himself, but he asked me to reanimate it and gift it to you, as a payment for a favor I have given him."
"What was the favor?" the king asked.
"It was my personal aid in controlling the cities of Qin and aiding Kis'Shtiengbrah with some minor matters," Dagla said.
The undead king nodded and turned to Dave, "You have done well by repaying what you are owed, but I believe that a dragon as a gift is too much to repay a favor as small as that one, don't you believe so, Dagla."
"I have said the same."
"Very well, then I shall repay your kindness both, Dagla, you may enter the royal treasury, take whatever you wish as your reward."
"May I take the Lifeless Drops?"
"Indeed, you may."
The Undead King then turned to Dave and said. "As for you Childe, I have nothing in my treasury that could be worth your time. Weapons and armor, you have better than all I have in there, gold is meaningless, and terrain, you have of as much as one king can rule by themselves. So, what should your award be?" the Undead King said.
"I need nothing, all I want I have already obtained, and if I need anything else I'll get it with my own hands."
"Spoken like a true Undead, yet it shall not satisfy Us to appear miserly in front of Our audience." The Undead King stood up.
"Then here ye, from here onwards, the Undead Prince, Kis'Shtiengbrah shall have a one-time command over my army. All of the Undead Army. You may lead it to burn and pillage or petty vengeance, all is forgiven and all shall be overlooked."
The Undead King's words fell heavy on everyone's ears, not even Dave could believe it…

[A group of homeless wizards cleaning all the Dalaran debris with arcane magic. A little girl searching any lost artifact. Suddenly she found a sword made in the Radiant Ore without it's parts. She found part from the Sword made from the Dire Stone. As she picks it up as she turns, suddenly she saw the sword disappeared]

Little Girl: Huh?

[Spectre appears out of nowhere scaring the little girl]

Mercurial: (shows her the sword) Looking for this? 

Helcurt: (blinks in front of the girl) Tremble!

[The Little girl screams and runs. The other wizards sees the little girl being chase by Helcurt and Spectre. The Wizards slows them down by casting arcane missiles. Pitch Black appears and blocks the arcane missiles]

Pitch Black: Those magic of yours are no match.

[Noob Saibot appears behind them and puts them on a brutal killing spree]

Pitch: So this is Dalaran? A place where the wizards live. How come this place was destroyed. (looks at Spectre) What did you found?

Mercurial: I only found a Demon Edge. 

Pitch: A Demon Edge? Interesting. (looks at Noob Saibot) And you?

Noob Saibot: (Shows him Shinnok's Amulet) This will bring you eternal power

Pitch: Sword and the Amulet. Now, Jack Frost's death plunged this timid world... into such terror. 

[Pitch black hands over the Demon Edge from Spectre and Shinnok's Amulet from Noob Saibot as he uses his power to combine it and turn it into a Dark Crystal filled with souls and Summons an Army of dark minions]

Pitch: The Guardians stands, and falls, alone. I've waited too long for the Unity. I know. But you will all feed. And my exile will come to an end. I will take my place among the Guardians. Go forth Black Relic. Our new power will cleanse this world. Fear will be remain.

[Crystal Maiden shows her the Scarlet Phantom from Sub-Zero]

Sub-Zero: What is this? 

Rylai: Some say it's a Scarlet Phantom. Auroth was attacked inside Mt. Gorod. She told me that this blade is not part of her artifacts, the Not-books. She only found this blade when some unknown creature named Helcurt attacked her. This is why Pitch tries to bring nightmare from the children of icewrack. Helcurt and Spectre allied with him. 

Lich King: (about the Scarlet Phantom) Interesting. Maybe this blade would be useful to the other death knights. 

Sub-Zero: Then let's move.

[Mei, Winston and Soldier 76 are waiting for Sub-Zero, The Lich King and Crystal Maiden to arrive]

Winston: How many of you are there?

Sub-Zero: Not enough. 

Soldier 76: Eight people abducted from world to world. Even here. Here's the potential perp.

Lich King: Malthael. 

Winston: Okay... 

Sub-Zero: Bi-Han must have caught the scent. It seems they're looking for innocent people to take their souls.

Winston: Souls? (gulps and gets nervous) That is really off of our chart. There are 8 innocent people. How would they rip souls? 

Toshiro (arriving) 10. Watashi no shini ga mi mo tora remashita (10. One of my Shinigamis were taken as well.)

Rylai: You made it.

Sub-Zero: So then. There must be a nest nearby.

[The Lich King attempts to stab Helcurt. But suddenly Nocturne points his right blade to stop him from killing Helcurt]

Nocturne: Ancient was our kind when this world began.

Lich King: I'm afraid my condition has left me cold to your pleas of mercy.

[Nocturne grabs the Lich King and throws him to the underground]

Rylai: Sub-Zero, Arthas. 

[Mei arrives with backup]

Mei: Hi. 

Sub-Zero: I knew you arrived in time, Mei.

[Pitch and his allies confronts Sub-Zero and his allies and turns his attention to Crystal Maiden]

Pitch: So... You have the blood of the Snow Queen in you. Such power.

[Crystal Maiden cast crystal nova to splash Pitch and his allies. Nocturne blocks it and cast paranoia on Crystal Maiden]

[Malthael attempts to grab Mei. She attempts to freeze him with her endothermic blaster. Malthael blocks the blast then grabs Mei]

Toshiro: Īe, shimasen! (No you don't!) 

[Toshiro releases his Zanpakuto to save Mei from Malthael]

Mei: Xièxiè. (Thank you.) 

[Sub-Zero found one of Kano's weapon and fires them against Pitch and his allies. Suddenly Malthael slice the first missiles them Nocturne grabs the other]

Pitch: Primitive beings. For 300 years technology still means nothing to me.

[Nocturne drops the missile at the left side of the wall and explodes then they vanished]

Mei: What are we under right now?

Sub-Zero: Black Dragon Harbor. 

[After the vanish and explosion, the underground floods]

Rylai: We have to move. 

Sub-Zero: Go. I will deal with this. 

[Crystal Maiden and the others escapes, Sub-Zero decided to stay to block the flood. Suddenly Elsa arrived with Nokk, the Water Spirit. Together they block the flood. Then Sub-Zero stops including Elsa]

Sub-Zero: The flood will not hold on much longer. We have to move.

[Sub-Zero jumps higher to escape as Elsa is being lifted by Gale, the Wind Spirit. She made her escape. But Sub-Zero jumps then Elsa grabs his hand. He sees the ice wall destroyed by the flood. Then they escaped the Black Dragon Warehouse]

Sub-Zero: Is everyone alright?

[Crystal Maiden and the others sees Elsa arrived in her new dress]

Sub-Zero: Elsa, why are you here? 

Elsa: I heard that Pitch Black has come for revenge with new allies 

Rylai: He is. 

Sub-Zero: That is why we're tracking them.

Mei: Wow. You look beautiful. What happened to you?

It was then a game notification came into Reinhardt's mind:

As expected, it was triggered! Only the first person who took an oath to reclaim the territory in front of the village chief could trigger this hidden inherited character class. A look of ecstasy shot across Reinhardt's face.
"Yes!"

"Go ahead, child. Go and finish the missions. After all, smooth seas do not make skillful sailors!"
Reinhardt hastened to assure that he would complete the mission as he listened to his advice. Soon after he turned around, left the village chief's house and ran toward the outside world.
While he was running, again he recalled the inheritance post in the forum shared by that professional player.
In the description of that post, there were six rounds of missions in the Dark Knight Trial. Other than the first round of monster killing, there were subsequent trials on stuff such as item hunting and so on.
Reinhardt could still remember the process of these missions clearly. In fact, the first round was the hardest for him. There were too many players at the current stage after all. These wandering souls without takers at the later stage were never easy to be found initially. That explained his hasty behavior as he ran outside.
At the same time, the reason that he chose the Knight character class was because that Dark Knight player was a Knight in his previous life, too. Thus, he chose the Knight as his beginning character class just to be on the safe side. This was to prevent the situation of the failure in triggering the missions for non-knight character classes.
During the early stage, a person's power was undoubtedly finite. It would be rather impossible for him to fight on his own, especially for the marsh crocodiles in the first round. With that, he opened his friend list immediately and sent a friend request to McCray.
After adding each other as friends, both of them made an appointment to meet at the entrance of the village. Shortly after Reinhardt had gathered some players nearby, the crowd headed to the Hidden Dragon Marsh under Reinhardt's lead.
Three hours later...
Everyone no longer looked at him the same way they used to when they saw the marsh crocodiles that had fallen into Reinhardt's trap again.
"How did you do that? Since when did you know how to set up traps? Moreover, you know how to lure the marsh crocodiles as well! Also, why would you have such a skilled battling style?"
Looking at the totally different Reinhardt, his buddy McCray could no longer stand it and asked eventually.
His words made Reinhardt smile confidently.
Of course, he would not say that he was once a poor player and could not even team up with anyone. Therefore, he ended up learning this trap-based attacking approach from the forum. It was the experience gained from innumerable times of practice.
As for McCray's so-called skilled battling style, it took him two years of hard work to master it.

Following that, their monster-killing efficiency was highly increased with Reinhardt's command on top of the simultaneous attacks of the team.
Soon, Reinhardt was acknowledged as a professional player on the team. Some even asked him whether he intended to establish a guild for they wanted to follow him.
This made Reinhardt feel rather pleased. Looking back at the past where he had been struggling at the bottom, he got a sudden feeling of rising from the ashes.
"I can teach you guys the trap-based attacking approach as well as the secret to practice battling style. However, you have to teach others whatever you've learned. After all, our future rivals are going to be intimidated with these so-called cheats. Just a powerful person alone can do them no harm. For this reason, we, the Army of Deity Xu have to develop ourselves in an all-round way. Forget about the establishment of a guild, but we can still team up and kill monsters," Reinhardt had no choice but to say so as he looked at those eager faces.
"A powerful rival? Do you mean the Ghost Kings and Ghost Generals nearby?" McCray asked curiously.
"No. They are worse. It is the Beiqi Army that belongs to the Fourth Disaster Faction, just like us. They are publicly known as the first army of the entire server in the future. Not only that, people have even dubbed them The Exclusive Hacking Zone!"
"You mean the original server that was launched three months earlier than us?" McCray asked curiously.

"How do you know about this? I've been hanging out with you almost every day and I've never seen you paying attention to this game," McCray was shocked.
"I dreamed of it!" Reinhardt tried to act cool by blowing his hair as he spoke.

Morning came slowly for Jack and his small party. They stayed at a simple inn to avoid any unwanted attention. As the sun rose, they were already on the streets searching for a caravan to join.
It wasn't hard to find a merchant willing to give them passage for a fee. Considering that Keela was pretending to be gravely ill to cover her face, it was quite a sum that they had to pay, but it was part of the plan.
The merchant offered to lower it if Rydel took a role as a guard, but he was too worried about his sick daughter to handle guard duty.
All three were cooped up in a covered wagon together with bundles of merchandise. In an hour, they would have crossed the Zuran-Reinolt border and be able to fly the rest of the way.
With their change of plans, they were cutting it very close to their deadline.
Sadly, other than by Rydel's roc, there was no other way for people from Reinolt City to reach the border, if not, then Zariff and Maynard would have rushed there overnight. Instead, the three of them would have to hope for the best.
Jack had started to wonder what else might go wrong. If he could prevent such issues from happening, then he'd be able to change his fate and Slivia's.
"Jack, calm down already. If we make it, then we'll make it. If not, you said you were already aware of our chance of failure," stated Rydel in a hushed tone. They made sure to speak quietly while in the caravan.
Not satisfied with his chances, Jack ignored Rydel and kept trying to think of possible ways to speed up the journey.
"Umm, are you okay, Jack?" asked Keela. It was easy for her to sense that Jack didn't have the calm and confident attitude he showed in the catacomb.
"I'm fine, I just wish that we could go faster." Not wanting to talk, Jack leaned back and closed his eyes.
Rydel and Keela both started to worry about him, but they couldn't do anything. So, in the meantime, Keela and Rydel talked about everything that was happening in the Reinolt Kingdom.
Also, Rydel started to explain what the Adventurers Association was and what it stood for. Since Keela was raised in the Zuran Empire, she had only heard about the Adventurers Association from passing stories. Now that she would be officially joining Jack's party, it was important for her to become an association member and learn about her future role in the team.
Keela was lv. 27, but Jack was able to overpower because she was a pure cleric and could only cast healing spells. Of course, she was extremely talented at those and was a perfect fit in their party dynamic.
'Jack, calm down.' Bowzer popped out of Jack's cloak and started rubbing his soft fur all over Jack.
'I'm fine Bowzer, why don't you play with Keela. She still has to get used to you, okay?'
The fox pup frowned but he nodded. 'Okay.'
As Bowzer crawled into Keela's arms and let her pet his fur, Jack was trying to find ways to distract himself.
Then he remembered about all the loot from Ponlinne's tomb. Not wanting to whip out valuable items in such a place, he went to his skill list first and purchased Eagle Eye. It was too good a skill to pass up.
Then he went to his achievement list and claimed his latest reward.

After buying Eagle Eye, Jack was left with thirty-five skill points, which he decided to save for a rainy day.
Next, Jack inspected Ponlinne's activity log. Since he had more time to kill than he wanted, he figured that he might as well use it.
First, Jack confirmed that Ponlinne had managed to reach lv. 87. It was true! Jack had no clue how considering the level cap in "A Hero's Tale," but it had happened.
Second, Jack started inspecting the activity log for everything involving the catacomb. Like he had guessed, it was the same ancient crypt that Jack had visited in-game. However, according to Ponlinne, it had changed.
The crypt that Jack knew was for low-level grinding where the lower you went, the stronger the undead. It ranged from lv. 15 to lv. 35.
Ponlinne, in some diary entries, mentioned that the crypt had started to change after the Holy War ended. It had started to spawn monsters of all levels, but only in accordance with whoever was inside the crypt.
He had sent a party of lv. 20's inside and they returned after facing creatures as strong as lv. 29. Yet, whenever Ponlinne entered, he had to face lv. 80's and had once seen a lv. 88 creature before he ran away.
Jack had guessed that Ponlinne stayed near that crypt to try and grind to level up. If there was a new patch or expansion that raised the level cap, then that would explain why Ponlinne made his home there. Where else would a cleric be able to solo grind other than facing strong undead creatures?
Checking information about his death, Jack discovered that Ponlinne had died against a lv. 89 lich king. Though Ponlinne was a powerful wielder of holy magic, the lich king was too much and caused his death.
Ponlinne had even tried to run away from the battle, but the lich king made it impossible. The moment the lich king had caught him in its sights, it chased Ponlinne until he was dead.
"That's one way to go. At least he was still only a player at the time." 
Jack started to think about what he would've done if he were stuck in a place like that. It wouldn't be easy, but Jack thought he would at least enjoy the thrill while he could.
Also, Jack wondered what had caused the crypt to change. Ponlinne had tried to investigate, but he wasn't successful. He did, however, discover some rather interesting information about the crypt.
Depending on who was inside the crypt, the layout would change. The higher someone's level was, the deeper the crypt went. According to Ponlinne, the lich king was the final monster at the very bottom of the crypt. Behind the lich king's tomb, there were closed doors. Had Ponlinne succeded, he thought those doors would open to reveal the real secrets of the crypt. Sadly, he failed against the final monster, even with his holy magic being super effective against undead.
Just then, a distant shout rang out. "Halt!"
The wagon came to a gradual stop and the sounds of horses trotting also stopped. Against Jack's wishes, the entire caravan had stopped.
Unhappy with the sudden development, Jack grunted and exited the wagon in search of the merchant.
"Excuse me, but what's going on?" asked Jack.
The merchant shrugged, "Nothing, the border patrol is just backed up. Apparently they're being extra cautious today, something about a noblewoman being kidnapped by a middle-aged man on a bird. Seriously, these stories just keep getting weirder and weirder.
"Tell me about it," sighed Jack. "Any idea how long it'll be?"
"There's a huge pile-up, so we'll probably be adding at least another half a day to our trip, maybe even a full day. I'm sorry for the inconvenience."
Squinting at the many wagons ahead of them in line, Jack shrugged his shoulders and hid his anger. "I guess that's just the way it is. Hopefully, this will blow over quickly. Thank you."
He walked back to the wagon and informed Rydel and Keela of the news.
"Wow, this makes things more difficult. We should be fine, but it'll definitely take longer." Suddenly, Rydel looked more concerned. "Jack, you know what this means, right?"
Jack didn't respond, but both Rydel and Jack could see the pain in his eyes.
"Everything's going to be okay, Jack, really. It's just going to take some more time, that's all." Keela did her best to try and comfort Jack. Little did she know, she made it worse.
Seeing Jack like that, Rydel added, "Hey Jack, don't try anything funny, no matter what! If we're caught, they have plenty of people over lv. 30. Even with your fox, there's no guarantee that we could escape through a fight. And don't try and blame her either, This would've happened either way, and you know that deep down."
Not wanting to accept reality, Jack's eyes started to water. With all his heart, he wanted so much to dash out and force his way into Reinolt, but Rydel was right. 
There was no chance of them breaking through the border with only those him, Rydel, and Bowzer attacking. Plus, they would have to protect Keela, which would be next to impossible. 
The Zuran Empire was an ancient empire that had survived for a long time. Though the Zuran Empire was being held off thanks to a powerful expert in Reinolt, the empire's overall strength was head and shoulders higher above Reinolt's. All the guard captains were at least lv. 30 and they could never guess how many lv. 30's they would have to face to breach the border.
Against all of Jack's hopes, wishes, and plans, he was forced to quietly wait in a wagon for his chance to peacefully cross the border, effectively failing to save Slivia.

“Are you scared of going in the mine? There will be lots of goblins.” Jack was curious to see how brave the little fox could be.

“Me no scared!” With his chest puffed out, the fox pup tried his best to appear intimidating but despite his efforts, Bowzer was even more adorable when he did this.

Wahyu saw airport terminal in front of himself. The horizon started to lit up.

"I'm back."

Wahyu murmured and looked at his shadow. He saw Elder Lich Larion nodded at him. Everything was real. Based on his small talk with Larion, he could wield death magic. But he still didn't learn any death magic spell yet. So, what only he could do was looking at death aura around people. Suddenly he realized. His disposition was changed. He didn't felt resentment at native at all. Simply put, the native problem was like an ant problem. Nothing to do with him.

Wahyu chuckled and walked calmly to server room cum parking division base camp. On the road, he saw beautiful intern of Pure 2 Angkasa walking gracefully. Based on his memory, the beautiful intern was so-so. Just her bust and butt were nice enough to be groped. As for why she could be said to be beautiful, because she was in Eastern part, she could consider as top beauty. How ironic.

"Morning, Miss."

Wahyu greeted calmly. He immediately continued his walk without waiting her reply. Wahyu felt death aura lingering around her body. He could help her and dispel the death aura around her, but so what. It was nothing to do with him. If she dies, just die.

"Ups! How cruel I'm…"

His trade mark for bitter smile turned into graceful bitter smile. The transformation from the game was applied at the real world. His body was fixed for sure. His long-lost teeth also back in place. He could be considered as cover boy if he changed his clothes and trimmed his messy hair.

Inside server room, Wahyu asked Larion to teach him about death magic and the spell available.

"Death magic is exquisite magic using death mana as fuel. Death mana was mana that created by death organism. As master have already had magic circuit with death mana crystal as the core magic, master can step to advance course right now."

Basic course for human magician was sensing mana, creating magic circuit and the core, and the last was connect everything. This was basic and perquisite before officially became a magician or magus. As Wahyu had already had soled foundation, Larion decided to say that Wahyu can learn advance death magic course.

Basically, death magic could be divided by summoning, reanimated, and curse. His game background and setting was death world. He could summon something from it with his death mana. Of course, he could bind summoned creatures. But he obviously needed sacrificial offering to the death god, the ruler of death world. As his luck was rather good, he managed to win Elder Lich Larion acknowledgment. 

"As an Elder Lich, this servant is proficient in all branch especially summoning branch. With master current power, master can only learn about basic for each branch. Let learn about basic summoning..."

Wahyu had basic understanding of summoning magic after hearing Larion long lecture. Using his death mana, he drew a simple magic circle. Soon, the magic circle that completely pitch black shone dimly. A skeleton bird appeared. Thank to Larion silent magic, the skeleton bird could chirp happily.

Larion nodded without any comment.

One hour later, Wahyu successfully learn basic of death magics. 

"Alpha Might Tango."

"Tango here, Alpha Might go ahead."

"Estimate for next traffic, please."

"AURI Airplane will be landed at eight and twenty minutes. Request for parking stand."

"Parking stand number two."

"Thanks Alpha Might."

"You're welcome."

"To all station, repeat, to all station, AURI Airplane will be landed at eight and twenty minutes local time at runway 11."

HT at his belt rang noisily. An army owned airplane would land in ten minutes. As non-commercial airlines, no normal passenger would walk out from the arrival room. And the parking area for car and motor cycle would remain empty. So, in English, it was nothing to do with him. Wahyu canceled his magic and sent the skeleton bird back.

"Larion, back to my shadow, please. I want to walk around."

"Yes, master. Master, can this servant ask something?"

Larion asked after he entered Wahyu's shadow.

"Hm? Go ahead."

"This servant felt slight fluctuation at Master mana when Master saw that girl before. Is Master has feeling with that girl?"

"Why? I indeed had some feeling for her. I'm just ordinary parking technician, and she was intern at main company. Her bust and her ass are really nice, you know."

"Master want to taste her?"

"Ah? No, of course. If she offers her body to me, I'm fine with it. But if using force, I'm rather not."

Wahyu answered honestly. It was not that Wahyu was hypocrite person, he just didn't like to do it using force, except for unexpected event. Larion just nodded understanding. Wahyu continued his task to watch the parking area. He bought a cup of tea and sat at the ladder. He gazed at the sea and admired the calm waves. Suddenly he felt someone from ATM center far away. He saw his goddess!

She was Doctor Mary from Health Quarantine. Her facial feature was rather average. Her bust also rather modest. What Wahyu like about her was her tomboy demeanor. His wife at Java Island also slightly tomboy. Maybe, when he saw Doctor Mary, he saw his wife figure. Without any shame, Wahyu stared at her with his trademark smile.

Of course, Doctor Mary also felt his gaze. She was rather uncomfortable, but she just shrugged at it. She just labeled Wahyu as her another admirer. Doctor Mary was rather beautiful and white. It was very rare at Eastern Part.

What she didn't know was, Wahyu smiled at black shroud behind her. The shroud gave sinister feeling. But worry not, Elder Lich behind him. Wahyu just smiled at the shroud with vicious intent.

"Heh, someone dare to use black magic at my goddess. Someone really wanted to retire his life."

For the first time, Larion felt vicious intent from his master after contracted to him. As death contractor, Wahyu should have dark tendency as dark and death were part of chaos faction. Larion almost believe that Wahyu was pacifist. Thankfully, Wahyu was type of good to the closest one and vicious to enemy.

"Larion, explain to me about that black shroud."

Wahyu asked Larion.

"Reply to master. That shroud is similar to wraith with effect to bewitch someone hearth."

Larion answered respectfully.

"So, basically, someone wants to bewitch Doctor Mary to love him?"

Wahyu asked for confirmation.

"Yes, Master."

Larion nodded.

"Puft! Hahaha!!! So, basically someone is desperate to obtain her! Haha! Such Beta male!"

People around him looked at Wahyu with weird gaze. Wahyu just ignored them and commanded Larion to cast GPS-like magic at Doctor Mary. He stood up and continued his work.

"Mas Wahyu, help me please!"

Someone asked him.

"Oh, Mrs. Regina. What's up Mrs.?"

"My HT battery have empty."

"Okay, I will replace it shortly. Wait a bit."

The danger was imminent without human knowing. The earth soon will change into dog-eat-dog world.

A weird smell of incense woke me up from my sleep.... 'Where is this faint incense smell coming from?'.. I wondered stranding up quietly to not wake up the others, but to be honest if they were sleeping through Daisy's and Scarlets loud snoring I'm pretty sure they can sleep through anything. I noticed Paul wasn't here.... 'He must be in his room'.... I quietly and carefully crepted to his door opening it slowly and silently a possible. 'Hmmmm he's not here either...' noticing his bed was untouched and perfectly made. 'He must be where the incense smell is coming from....' following my nose I discovered the smell was coming from his locked room that was left slightly open.
"Paul?..." I whispered opening the door slightly to peer inside. I starred in awe quietly as it looked like a museum.... hundreds and hundreds of things on shelves and glass cabinets with the source of the smell coming deep within the room.
Curiosity getting the better of me as always I silently slipped into room taking care not to open the door too much. It was truly amazing... I guess this is Paul's personal treasure trove of items and equipment..... Slowly I made my way deeper into the room the smell of incense getting stronger and stronger. "Paul." I said noticing the back of someone that looked like they was in a wheel chair.
"Emilia?..." He turned around to face his eyes red and swollen from crying.
"Hey you okay?..." I asked worried about him walking closer.... "What are you doing?.." I asked noticing he had packs and packs of incense.
"It's my way of paying my respects to those who passed away...." He said in a solemn tone returning to face a large ash filled tray filled with stalks of completely burned incense.
"Can I?..." I asked politely.
"Yeah..... Here." He said taking out two stalks of incense and lighting them for me. "Just you know... Pray for them and hope they find their way to heaven..." He said putting them in my right hand and placing my left hand around my right to resemble praying hands. I closed my eyes praying they find a way to heaven and opened my eyes.
"Now you just plant it into the ash tray....." He said guiding my hand to imbed the stalks into the ash tray where the two he lit earlier was still burning.
"Are these all the Students of Atlantis that has lost their lives?..." I questioned quietly to maintain the solemn atmosphere.
"Yes... All the students and individuals that unfortunately we lost due to my decisions and actions..." He answered closing his eyes taking a deep breathe.
"I thought we only lost one student....." I questioned noticing we burnt two stalks.
"We lost on students.... and one Guard bravely sacrificed himself to complete a task for me..." He explained as tears began to flow down his eyes. I instinctively pulled his head closer to me holding him tightly, 'just what have you been through all these years?.....''
He silently pulled his head away gently after calming down and pulled out a big handful of incense and began lighting them all in small bunches. "This set are for all the soldiers that I murdered today... I don't know how many...." He said imbedding the incense into a larger bowl is alot more left over stalks.
"Let me..." I said taking some bunches and began helping him to finish planting the incense taking care not to burn myself.
We prayed in silence for a few seconds before raising our heads........ "Come let's go..." He said with intense sorrow in his eyes.
"You can't keep blaming yourself." I said to him quietly and respectfully.
"I know...... I tell myself that as well.... but I always wondered maybe if I was a little smarter or more prepared I could save lives on both sides....." He cursed.
"Paul you did your best..... And that's all anyone can ask for..." I said trying to comfort him. He nodded in silence but I can tell from his expression he's punishing and blaming himself for everything that happened.
"So what is this room?..." I asked after a few minutes of silence hoping to get his mind off things.
"This is the room we have for extremely dangerous items and artifacts....." He explained wheeling through the room. "For example..... See that Pitch Black floating crystal encased in glass?.." He asked me pointing at it.
"Yeah...." I answered.
"Well that is.... a Black Soul Stone containing a fragment of the Shackled Oblivion.... merely being near it will corrupt and drive someone insane and become a servant to the Shackled Oblivion with the ultimate goal of releasing it back into the universe." He explained making me take a few steps away from it.
"Can't you destroy it?..." I asked feeling frightened of the evil it can cause.
"Ohhh so small back story.... Shackled Oblivion Started a war with all the other Gods..... Wanting to bring darkness and death to everything that living.... It took the combined might of all the Gods to defeat it... and even then could only shackle it in the plane of Oblivion where it stays trapped for eternity, eternally fighting scheming and finding ways to unbind itself......" He explained.
"So no destroying it?.." I asked.
"I don't think I have the power to..... Nor do I know what will happen if I did...." He answered.
"We're safe right?.." I questioned.
"The glass case it's in is protected with a null zone.... but even then going near it will cause very disturbing images." He answered.
"Gotcha don't go near it..." I answered, "You got anything that won't spell disaster and doom to the whole world?.." I asked jokingly.
"Ohhh this is cool..." He said pointing at a large egg encased in a similar glass case, it was beautiful.... all across the shell was bright lights of different intensities all flowing in one direction like the night sky as if I was peering into space itself. "That is the Egg of one of the rarest Dragons to ever exist.... A Celestial Dragon....." He smiled seeing my reaction.
"A space dragon?..." I asked.
"Yes..... A Celestial Dragon is an everlasting Dragon that lives in the Astral plane.... even I have never seen one... can you imagine?... the infinite knowledge it must have..." Paul explained in awe. "Anyways because time doesn't flow in the Astral Plane..... The only way a Celestial Dragon can reproduce is laying an egg in a plane of existence... We came across this specimen when we cleared a Dragon Cult..." He smiled.
"Will it hatch?.." I asked curiously.
"Scarlet and Ashley say's there is a Baby Dragon in there.... but we've had it for years and nothing has happened so far... even its mother hasn't returned for it." Paul explained.
"Wow... what do they look like?.." I asked curiously.
"From what I've read.... they are like Serpentine Dragons similar to those you see in Chinese Mythology they are depicted to be ethereal…. Beautiful coloured in purple and blue." Paul answered.
"Wow..." I uttered in awe my imagination going wild.
"Ohh this is interesting..." He said pointing at an urn..... Encased in ice constantly spewing out blue and black smoke falling to the grounds of its confines.
"That seems evil..." I instinctively said just looking at it brought chills up my spine.
"Remember the object that kept the Evil person from dying in the books you love to read so much?..." He asked.
"Yeah....." I answered.
