Luke Knight, an orphan abandoned by his parents at birth, lives with his adopted parents in peace until a bewitching girl trick him and transports him to another world. The Lich King forces Luke to tell him his deepest desire, after learning his desire the Lich King promises to help him achieve his dreams. He must find the courage to stand against the Lich King and survive doing so.

Damn it, did it appear in my dreams? Lin Li shook his head helplessly. Just when he was about to give up on further investigation and get his hands on Gloomy Dark straightaway, he heard Ujfalusi's gasp.
"M-M-Master, that's the Immortal King!"
"Huh?" Lin Li exclaimed in surprise. "You mean, that half-bodied statue depicts the Immortal King?"
"That's… that's right," Ujfalusi replied. The mentioning of the legendary figure of the High Elves Dynasty terrified Ujfalusi. He even swallowed his saliva like a real human when he looked at that half-bodied statue in awe… 
"…" Lin Li glanced at the statue resting on the summit of the pointed tower and froze for a few minutes. When he regained his composure, vulgar words exited his mouth. "F*ck, why is it that bastard again…?" 
Lin Li could not help it.
The name 'Immortal King' had become a curse ever since the finals in the Aurora Square. It was like an annoying spirit that continued to haunt him wherever he went. From the Aurora Square to the Demon Fall Valley, and from Doland to the Scar of Death, Immortal King's name came up everywhere. 
Even Ujfalusi, whom he had signed the Soul Contract with, seemed to have some connection with that bastard…
Although Ujfalusi did not tell him anything about the Immortal King, it did not mean Lin Li was totally unaware of it. The Soul Contract Ujfalusi signed with Lin Li was one which forbade secrecy. The moment the bond was established, fragments of Ujfalusi's memory were transmitted to Lin Li's mind. Although Lin Li could not gather much useful information from those disorganized fragments, he saw the shadow of the Immortal King in them… 
Since Ujfalusi did not reveal any details about the Immortal King to him, Lin Li knew it had to be something that could pose a threat to Ujfalusi.
Hence, Lin Li still did not ask Ujfalusi about it.
"That's right, it's this altar!" Adelo exclaimed excitedly, and was unable to repress his joy. But the next moment, Adelo was looking at Lin Li in hesitation. "Mage Felic, could we have a talk?"
"Of course…" Lin Li replied after glancing at Adelo. He knew very well what that Archmage from the Malfa Family had to say. The lies about wanting to destroy the altar earlier on were all a child's play. How could his ultimate goal be destroying the altar when he agreed to bring a group of people into the Scar of Death tirelessly in hopes of finding the altar that was located deep within the cave? Lin Li would be a moron to believe those words…
But, he welcomed Adelo's invitation to talk.
How could Adelo have zero knowledge of the altar he took so much risk to locate? His mentor, Cheyenne, was the one who'd personally come to the altar that year to battle the Lich. If one were to say that Adelo was ignorant of that altar, Lin Li would be the first person to get suspicious.
In fact, Lin Li had planned out what to do long before Adelo spoke. Since what he wanted from the beginning was just the Gloomy Dark, he did not mind knowing more secrets from Adelo, and then negotiating the splitting of benefits…
Of course, if Adelo wanted the Gloomy Dark like he did, it would be another story…
"I'm guessing Mage Felic would know that my main motive of entering the Scar of Death is not to destroy this Altar…" Adelo admitted to his lie immediately.
"Hehe…" Lin Li laughed, and did not say anything. Yet, he was secretly shocked. When did this dude who has been disguising himself as a Magic Shooter become so straightforward with his words?
Lin Li would not have guessed that Adelo was actually governed by his fear when he spoke to him.
That was right. Adelo was indeed scared…
Adelo's fear of the young mage grew as they survived the different battles that seemed to increase in difficulty as they journeyed towards the Scar of Death. How would anyone have the guts to lie to a young mage who made 10 Death Knights submit to him, had the ability of a Legendary-mage to defeat the Lich, and had skills to seal a Humerus Wyrm? It might have cost him his life…
"Actually, I wasn't entirely lying when I said that just now—I just forgot to say some details… When I went into the cave with my mentor that year, I really lost my consciousness. He only told me what happened in the cave after I woke up again…" Adelo said defensively. 
"That year, my mentor indeed battled with the Lich. But, according to him, there wasn't any Humerus Wyrm in the cave. Hence, he had an advantage when he battled the Lich. At the end of the battle, my mentor sacrificed a level of his ability to inflict great harm on to the Lich…"
"Oh?" Lin Li could not help but feel surprised. He was extremely well aware of the ability of the Lich. Not to exaggerate, having received the most formal education in magic, the Lich was almost perfect in his combat techniques. He made zero mistakes in his tactics, and his life case that was safely stowed in the altar allowed him to absorb unlimited amount of force produced by the Gloomy Dark. Hence, it was extremely difficult to battle an opponent who had never-ending supply of mana like him.
Lin Li knew very well that the All-Knowing Potion could only give him the powers of a Legendary-mage temporarily. It was not sufficient for him to defeat such a terrifying Lich. The victory he'd got unexpectedly was all due to that crimson crystal. The Devouring Force within it allowed him to create a vacuum for the reckless Lich to fall from the air like that.
Otherwise, Lin Li would be the one who had his body ripped into pieces instead…
But, the mentor Adelo was telling him had to be something. How could anyone have the ability to sacrifice a level of his ability to critically injure a Lich?
That was even more powerful than him downing a bottle of the All-Knowing Potion himself…
It seemed that there was still a difference between Legendary-mages. Lin Li knew he would only figure out that difference after he reached the Legendary-realm. 
"My mentor has been telling me that he had committed a grave mistake in that battle. That was, using a spell to restrict the Lich instead of destroying his body completely…"
"This mistake is really serious…" Lin Li knew it meant trouble.
"That was because my mentor found the altar located deep within the cave at the same time…" Adelo recalled the story with very complicated feelings. "This fault made him regret for decades. If not for his carelessness, it would not lead to the subsequent consequences, and delay his breakthrough into level-21 by 10 years…"
Adelo sighed.
"However, it was no doubt natural for Mentor to feel anxious then. I believe anyone would have done the same thing if he had discovered the huge secret within the cave."
"It seems that Mage Adelo wants to tell me about the secret hidden within this altar now…?"
"Yes," said Adelo. "My mentor went into a historical building owned by the High Elves, and got to know that the Scar of Death has this altar and about the great secret hidden within it. This secret is related to the Immortal King…"
"Immortal King?"
"I presume you should have read many articles written during the High Elves Dynasty. Don't you realize that those articles barely mention the Immortal King? Even if there is information that might be related to him, it's only mentioned vaguely as though the author was trying to avoid the topic. For the parts that speak of the King, they were mixed with too many rumors and hearsay. 1300 years had gone by, and the only thing people of Anril knew of him was just that he was the creator of the entire High Elves Dynasty…"
"Mage Adelo, this means you know a lot about that Immortal King?"
"Since what I know of him is all stories my mentor told me, it would be an overstatement to say that I understand him well. I believe there would only be a handful of people in the entire Anril who would know the Immortal King well. 
"My mentor found a diary that belonged to a high elf royal in that historical building. On the last few pages of the diary, this royal mentioned that his grandfather was actually one of the servants working under the Immortal King.
"In fact, the establishment of the High Elves Dynasty transformed the servants of the Immortal King into prominent aristocrats. Many truths about that age gradually disappeared in the river of time. The owner of the diary only found out about the Immortal King while he was tidying his grandfather's relics. Apart from this secret, his grandfather left him two other relics: a crossbow with a strange energy as well as a map that was said to lead to infinite amount of treasures… "


Lin Li accidentally enters another world while playing with his smurf mage account just after he maxes out all kinds of crafting skills, bringing with him various top-grade materials. Although his character is practically powerless, what he gains in return is unprecedented magical talent! Can he survive by himself after being thrown into another world?

[A group of homeless wizards cleaning all the Dalaran debris with arcane magic. A little girl searching any lost artifact. Suddenly she found a sword made in the Radiant Ore without it's parts. She found part from the Sword made from the Dire Stone. As she picks it up as she turns, suddenly she saw the sword disappeared]

Little Girl: Huh?

[Spectre appears out of nowhere scaring the little girl]

Mercurial: (shows her the sword) Looking for this? 

Helcurt: (blinks in front of the girl) Tremble!

[The Little girl screams and runs. The other wizards sees the little girl being chase by Helcurt and Spectre. The Wizards slows them down by casting arcane missiles. Pitch Black appears and blocks the arcane missiles]

Pitch Black: Those magic of yours are no match.

[Noob Saibot appears behind them and puts them on a brutal killing spree]

Pitch: So this is Dalaran? A place where the wizards live. How come this place was destroyed. (looks at Spectre) What did you found?

Mercurial: I only found a Demon Edge. 

Pitch: A Demon Edge? Interesting. (looks at Noob Saibot) And you?

Noob Saibot: (Shows him Shinnok's Amulet) This will bring you eternal power

Pitch: Sword and the Amulet. Now, Jack Frost's death plunged this timid world... into such terror. 

[Pitch black hands over the Demon Edge from Spectre and Shinnok's Amulet from Noob Saibot as he uses his power to combine it and turn it into a Dark Crystal filled with souls and Summons an Army of dark minions]

Pitch: The Guardians stands, and falls, alone. I've waited too long for the Unity. I know. But you will all feed. And my exile will come to an end. I will take my place among the Guardians. Go forth Black Relic. Our new power will cleanse this world. Fear will be remain.

Rylai: We spoke. He'll be awhile. So this is us? 

Sub-Zero: Yes, this is us.

Lich King: 3 of us. Great. But death will overcome this war. 

Sub-Zero: We all know death overcomes everything. 

Rylai: Not everything. 

[Crystal Maiden shows her the Scarlet Phantom from Sub-Zero]

Sub-Zero: What is this? 

Rylai: Some say it's a Scarlet Phantom. Auroth was attacked inside Mt. Gorod. She told me that this blade is not part of her artifacts, the Not-books. She only found this blade when some unknown creature named Helcurt attacked her. This is why Pitch tries to bring nightmare from the children of icewrack. Helcurt and Spectre allied with him. 

Lich King: (about the Scarlet Phantom) Interesting. Maybe this blade would be useful to the other death knights. 

Sub-Zero: Then let's move. 

— Sydney Harbor Australia —

[Mei, Winston and Soldier 76 are waiting for Sub-Zero, The Lich King and Crystal Maiden to arrive]

Winston: How many of you are there?

Sub-Zero: Not enough. 

Soldier 76: Eight people abducted from world to world. Even here. Here's the potential perp.

[Soldier 76 shows them the child's drawing of a black angel]

Lich King: Malthael. 

Winston: Okay... 

Sub-Zero: Bi-Han must have caught the scent. It seems they're looking for innocent people to take their souls.

Winston: Souls? (gulps and gets nervous) That is really off of our chart. There are 8 innocent people. How would they rip souls? 

Toshiro (arriving) 10. Watashi no shini ga mi mo tora remashita (10. One of my Shinigamis were taken as well.)

Rylai: You made it.

Sub-Zero: So then. There must be a nest nearby.

Soldier 76: We plotted all the sightings in Junkertown and the Black Dragon Warehouse Facility.

Winston: (wondering) Do you really think they can stop this? 

Mei: Don't worry, Winston, they'll take care of it, right guys? 

[Mei turns and they saw Sub-Zero and the Lich King and Toshiro gone. Crystal Maiden remains behind]

Rylai: Wow. They just... They really just vanished. That's rude. (uses blink dagger to blink) 

— Black Dragon Warehouse Facility —

[Sub-Zero, Crystal Maiden, Toshiro and The Lich King enters the Warehouse]

Rylai: This is the Place?

Sub-Zero: Yes. The Black Dragon Facility.

[They hides themselves from Pitch's minions]

Rylai: How did they get in here? 

Sub-Zero: I don't know. This facility was abandoned a years ago during Sonya Blade killed Kano and his counter part.

[The entrance is guarded by Pitch's minions]

Toshiro: Dono yō ni shite jigoku o oikosu koto ga dekimasu ka? (How the hell can we pass these mongrels?) 

Sub-Zero: Wait here. I will deal with those mongrels.

[Sub-Zero sneaks inside and assassinates all of Pitch's minions guarding inside the warehouse. While Sub-Zero continues his pursuit, The Lich King, Crystal Maiden and Toshiro starts to enter the warehouse. Suddenly, Sub-Zero finishes his pursuit and regroup to the others]

Rylai: That was fast.

Sub-Zero: The Lin Kuei assassinates their enemies faster. But we are not ninjas. (stops) Wait.

[Sub-Zero sees Pitch Black and Noob Saibot torturing souls as Mathael claims it. Helcurt grabs another innocent person and brings him to Pitch]

Pitch: What do you know about Jack Frost? 

Victim No.1: I don't know nothing about him! I swear I'm too old to know him! 

Pitch: Just tell me the truth.

Victim No.1: Please, just let us go. I have a family! 

Pitch: Wrong answer. 

[Nocturne stabs the innocent person and Malthael claims another soul to earn]

Pitch: Humans... The stench of your fear is making my soldiers hungry. Shall I feed them?

Victim No.2: Please. We have families.

Pitch: I've already heard that from then and now

[Inaudible. Back to Sub-Zero and the others]

Rylai: What now? 

Sub-Zero: Does any of you know how to infiltrate? 

Toshiro: Shintō suru hōhō o shitte imasu. Shikashi, kore wa anata to issho ni kono basho ni sen'nyū suru no wa hajimetedesu. (I know how to infiltrate. But this is my first time infiltrating this place with you.)

Lich King: The Lich King doesn't infiltrate. I'll do what have to do. 

Sub-Zero: Have it your way. 

Rylai: I'm no thief. I never infiltrate anything. Especially from Auroth's cave. 

Sub-Zero: Save one.

Rylai: One?

Sub-Zero: Save one person.

Rylai: Wait, which one? 

Sub-Zero: Freeze them. Shatter them. Get in. Get one out. 

Rylai: Okay.

[Back to Pitch Black and the others]

Pitch: I know you all have children. After I'm done with you all your children will know the meaning of fear. 

[The Lich King summons an undead army to attack Pitch and the others]

Pitch: So. You were born in fear. A creature of nightmare.

Lich King: Not how I see it. But I'll show you the true meaning of fear. 

Pitch: Give it time.

[Toshiro attacks one of Pitch's minions]

Pitch: Nocturne.

[Nocturne attempts to attack Toshiro. But he took his attention to the Lich King]

Lich King: This one is mine!

[Crystal Maiden taking a deep breath]

Rylai: Okay... Save one. Freeze the enemies.

[Crystal Maiden saves innocent people one by one after freezing one of Pitch's minions]

Rylai: Go. Get out of here. 

[Suddenly Spectre and Malthael confronts Crystal Maiden]

Mercurial: Rylai. I knew you'd come.

Rylai: You overestimate yourself.

Mathael: Child... My blades are still slick with the souls of your people.

[Crystal Maiden fights Spectre and Malthael. Meanwhile The Lich King Fights Helcurt and Nocturne. All of the sudden Sub-Zero reunites with his brother Noob Saibot]

Sub-Zero: So you allied with Pitch to gain new power?

Noob Saibot: Indeed. With Kronika's death I would made my own purpose to darken all the realms.

Sub-Zero: I shall not live in your shadows.

Noob Saibot: Then die in it, brother.

Sub-Zero: It will not survive the cold.

[Sub-Zero fights Noob Saibot again; Sub-Zero wins again]

Sub-Zero: The Netherrealm can have you.

Noob Saibot: It also has your friend, Smoke.

Sub-Zero: Do not speak of my friends.

[Sub-Zero tackles Noob Saibot through the wall as they falls down to the underground. Meanwhile Lich King still fighting Helcurt and Nocturne]

Helcurt: I am death incarnate! 

[Helcurt blinks everywhere and any multiple attack to the Lich King by blinking everywhere. Suddenly He grabs Helcurt in the air and throwing him to the ground, with his hand around his neck]

Lich King: Insect!

[The Lich King attempts to stab Helcurt. But suddenly Nocturne points his right blade to stop him from killing Helcurt]

Nocturne: Ancient was our kind when this world began.

Lich King: I'm afraid my condition has left me cold to your pleas of mercy.

[Nocturne grabs the Lich King and throws him to the underground]

Rylai: Sub-Zero, Arthas. 

[Mei arrives with backup]

Mei: Hi. 

Sub-Zero: I knew you arrived in time, Mei.

[Pitch and his allies confronts Sub-Zero and his allies and turns his attention to Crystal Maiden]

Pitch: So... You have the blood of the Snow Queen in you. Such power.

[Crystal Maiden cast crystal nova to splash Pitch and his allies. Nocturne blocks it and cast paranoia on Crystal Maiden]

Mei: Look out.

[Mei pushes Crystal Maiden away from Nocturne's paranoia suddenly her right arm sliced and wounded]

Rylai: Mei! 

[Malthael attempts to grab Mei. She attempts to freeze him with her endothermic blaster. Malthael blocks the blast then grabs Mei]

Toshiro: Īe, shimasen! (No you don't!) 

[Toshiro releases his Zanpakuto to save Mei from Malthael]

Mei: Xièxiè. (Thank you.) 

[Sub-Zero found one of Kano's weapon and fires them against Pitch and his allies. Suddenly Malthael slice the first missiles them Nocturne grabs the other]

Pitch: Primitive beings. For 300 years technology still means nothing to me.

[Nocturne drops the missile at the left side of the wall and explodes then they vanished]

Mei: What are we under right now?

Sub-Zero: Black Dragon Harbor. 

[After the vanish and explosion, the underground floods]

Rylai: We have to move. 

Sub-Zero: Go. I will deal with this. 

[Crystal Maiden and the others escapes, Sub-Zero decided to stay to block the flood. Suddenly Elsa arrived with Nokk, the Water Spirit. Together they block the flood. Then Sub-Zero stops including Elsa]

Sub-Zero: The flood will not hold on much longer. We have to move.

[Sub-Zero jumps higher to escape as Elsa is being lifted by Gale, the Wind Spirit. She made her escape. But Sub-Zero jumps then Elsa grabs his hand. He sees the ice wall destroyed by the flood. Then they escaped the Black Dragon Warehouse]

Sub-Zero: Is everyone alright?

[Crystal Maiden and the others sees Elsa arrived in her new dress]

Sub-Zero: Elsa, why are you here? 

Elsa: I heard that Pitch Black has come for revenge with new allies 

Rylai: He is. 

Sub-Zero: That is why we're tracking them.

Mei: Wow. You look beautiful. What happened to you?

Elsa: Well. I found who I am. Maybe I could find out who you people are.

Sub-Zero: We have no time for discoveries 

[Sub-Zero walks out but Elsa stops him]

Elsa: You can't beat Pitch Black, Sub-Zero. 

Sub-Zero: Pitch is not my priority to settle the score. We're only tracking Pitch because my brother would do something worse after he allied with Kronika. 

Elsa: You said it yourself. Not enough. There's still time. Please, come with me to the Enchanted forest. I wanna know who you truly are, Kuai Liang. 

[Sub-Zero, Crystal Maiden, Toshiro and the Lich King hears the secret siren including Elsa]

Sub-Zero: Take us to that voice.

[Frozen Necromancy] Summons ice-creatures as undead to attack Du'Rhaza aggressors.

One of the strongest units under Arch-Lich Dagla -Abyssal Knight- of the undead legion. The Black Skull Order trapped du'Rhaza in the Ice-Queen palace. Not wanting to waste his immortality, Du'Rhaza delved into ice magic and managed to fuse both undeath and Ice which made him one of the most unique liches that could use the freezing element to cause death to his enemies.

Zhang Shi frowned a bit, the Lich's Level was higher than his own, he just reached the level 500. But if Dave won against him, so could he, he thought and he was going to put this idea to the test.
The battle started once a resounding, "FIGHT!" sounded through the arena.
Du'Rhaza hovered in the air and waved his hands, a few dozen Spectral Skulls appeared around him.
"Oh I know this, this is what Skelly first started with, the Spectral Skulls, low damage but nasty kick-back effect," Valentine said.
"Yeah, they're all depending on how to use them, and that Skelly was damn proficient at using them," Wan Yi said.
Zhang Shi drew his katana and sliced as fast as he could, a blinding ray of sword light shot out, slashing into the Ethereal Skulls and headed toward the lich.
The Lich grinned and waved a hand in front of him, summoning a large chunk of ice that blocked the projectile, while the skulls moved unharmed forward.
The skulls blew up in Zhang Shi's face while he moved about dodging the explosions in a choreographed manner.
Zhang Shi approached the Lich and slashed at him when he was close. Yet Du'Rhaza's cane was in the way, blocking the flimsy attack with barely an effort.
Ice spikes rose from the ground, one managed to slice at Zhang Shi's thigh but he evaded the remaining spikes with ease.
Du'Rhaza made a grasping motion, forcing water to turn into ice and rise up from under Zhang Shi in an ice shaped giant grasping hand.
Zhang Shi sliced at the ice-breaking the hand's finger and evading the attack only to find more spectral Skulls waiting for him.
Disadvantaged, Zhang Shi used [Blood Escape], giving up a small portion of his HP to teleport his body right behind the Lich.
He slashed down in one single motion only to have the Lich swat away the sword with his cane.
"Not bad, but not enough, Ice aura!" the Lich conjured his aura skill, forcing the weather to turn colder and colder. Ice gathered around the lich and over the player encasing him in a thin layer of ice.
Zhang Shi used an anti-crowd effect skill and escaped the Lich's aura before he was turned to an ice statue.
He then resumed battle with greater ferocity. Zhang Shi poised himself in a single draw katana stance, then sliced forward. This spell as Dave mentioned the last time was pretty similar to the Tengu's only it was quite slower.
Du'rhaza didn't even bother to dodge, he just controlled some of the ice on the ground to tilt the pavements Zhang Shi was standing on. this broke Zhang Shi's stance and his skill.
"You have good technique, but you lack knowledge of when to use them best," Du'Rahza commented.
"Shut up, you bag of bones," Zhang Shi pulled his sword and dug it deep into his stomach.
His sword, tainted and bloodied now became more fearsome, this was Zhang Shi activating one of his most potent Legacy Skills, it empowered his attacks, made his slashes cause lacerating wounds, and poisoned his enemies. Though the last two effects were useless against undead, the damage power-up was more than good enough for Zhang Shi.
Zahng Shi sprinted forward, ignoring the coalescing ice on his body, and once he was in range, he blasted out his own Aura skill.
[Blood Aura]

Seran did mention one other thing before he forgot to, "I'd like this to remain extremely confidential, but I discovered an ancient Fairy Race tomb where the Elder Lich had taken residence... According to the texts on the doors, on the sarcophagus and the base of the aged statue... it was the tomb of [Assassin King] Eric Astheme, the last of the royal bloodline of the Fairies."

"It's now already too late for surrender. In the Poison Dragon Valley, you tried to devour the soul of my great general, Rodriguez, and you almost succeeded. Why didn't you spare his life at that time?" Yang Ling wore an ice-cold look, and he spoke calmly. "Now, you will taste how it feels to have your soul devoured."

But to Oz's surprise, the things that got upgraded are not only the buildings but all of Oz's subjects too. The undead, Centaur, kobolds, lizardfolk, and other races who have a form that far from human's appearance suddenly gain the ability to change their appearance to a human form.
The symptoms that happen to the undead lately like their sudden ability to taste foods might be one of the signs of the current occurrence. But even though they could change themselves to a human form, there are some consequences they must pay, their stamina and their power became limited. They could only use up to 80% of their real power when they're in the human form.
