Ian nodded and laughed. 

"Sure."

With that response Ian began to order the Lotus guild members. 

Then the guild members moved in unison. 

And it was the same for the guild members of Titan. 

From the Lotus users to the Titan users. 

A total of thirty people looked nervous, and stood around Ian and Shakran. 

What were they going to do? Even though they were in a neutral zone, everyone was in a stance that looked like they were going to enter into a battle. 

"Okay, let's start then!"

Ian took out something from his inventory and slowly moved it forward. 

Three pieces of transparent and beautiful jewels with brilliant, yet radiant light. 

They gradually rose into the air, and began to emit much brighter light. 

Woong- Woong-!

With brilliant light, three pieces of fragments began to merge into one. 

In the process, the purple radiance from the process gradually went down and a large magic circle began to form. 

"…!"

Ian looked nervous and adjusted the Judgment of the Spirit King that was in his hand. 

System messages then emerged in front of the eyes of Ian, one after the other.

[Intense energy of the dead can be felt.]

[The energy of the dimension has started to move.]

In that silence, the sound of someone gulping could be heard. 

Nothing could be seen, but everyone could feel the powerful energy that was around them. 

10 seconds passed?

The sound of small ringing went louder, and the vacant lot began to vibrate as if an earthquake was going to take place.

Followed by the magic circle on the floor, black energy rose everywhere. 

Swahhh-!


Black clouds with chunks began to grow.

Purple energy overflowed from every direction. 

And it felt similar to the time when Chalian appeared. 

But the presence of the energy was much more when compared to that time. 

'Underworld King… since it has the King of the Underworld, will it be the highest NPC in the Middle-Earth?'

Ian stared at the black clouds and his eyes were shining. 

A loud voice began to rise. 


"It is such a clear air. Is this Earth?"


The voice of a man was heard.

Subsequently, the owner of the voice appeared from the black clouds. 

It was as dark as black, but had some kind of luster to it, it seemed like clouds made of black pearls. 

With a black armor all over his body, he looked like one of those riders from the Dragon cavalry from the three kingdoms. 

Compared to the characters, it was like the equipment? 

Ian's eyes met with him and took a step close to him. 

Ian opened his mouth with excitement, which was clearly noticeable in his voice and said,

"Are you the King of the Underworld?"

The gaze of the man moved to Ian after hearing the voice. 

"Oho, I guess it is you."

Subsequently, Ian responded with a puzzled expression after hearing an unexpected response. 

"Uh…?"

"The guy who called me to this."

"Ah, right…"

"Hmm…"

"But, can you answer my question now?"

"What?"

"The thing about the King of the Underworld."

"Ahah, then what can I say?"

The man with his chest stretched out was smiling with a grin. 

"Right. I am Mukan, the seventh King of the Underworld."

At that moment, the body of the king was suddenly caught on fire while he was still conversing with Ian. 

"…!"

The very same time, black smoke rose before Ian. 

"Careful!"

What just happened wasn't known, but Mukan just got teleported with the black smoke. 

Ian took a defensive position, and put up his spear out of reflex. 

And suddenly, Mukan appeared right in front of Ian, and looked at Ian with wide eyes. 

"Hmm, this a bit weird…"

"What, what are you talking about?"

"You are not a warlock."

"That is right."

"But I smell death from you."

Ian didn't understand it right away, but he soon understood what was being talked about. 

'Ah, the fusion class.'

Ian nodded and replied, 

"Tha is right. I am a dark summoner."

"Oh ho…!"

Mukan nodded at the response and took a step back. 

He shook his head and opened his mouth with a regretful voice,

"That is sad."

"What is it again?"

"I don't understand how you managed to collect the fragments and summon me, but I can't help a half dark."

"What are you talking about?"

Ian was bewildered at what he heard. 

On contrary, even Mukan was shocked. 

"Didn't you summon me to get my strength?"

"No?"

Hoonie who was next to Ian; raised his hand up and tried to speak up, but was stopped by Ian. 

"I , want to have it!"

"Shut up, idiot."

And it was only natural for Mukan to look flustered at the silly thing. 

"What are you guys doing then? Then why did you call me?"

Ian left Hoonie over to Yu Shin for management. 

He turned back to Mukan. 

"The reason I called the King of the Underworld…"

Ian took a moment to speak, and then spoke one words after other. 

"To open the path that leads to the Underworld."

At that moment, Ian's words ended. 

It was almost the time of the whole world had stopped, everyone had stopped moving at once. 

The only thing that hadn't stopped was the King, Mukan.

"Kuah, hahaha!"

It was so pleasant that it made Mukan burst out into laughter. 

After a while, Mukan, took over a completely different mood and opened his mouth,

"I met a human who wants to enter the afterlife…"

"…"

"Do you want to know how to enter the Underworld?"

"That's right."

At the answer from Ian, Mukan laughed softly and answered,

"There are two ways to enter the Underworld."

"…?"

"First, if it is okay to do. If I put this crescent blade through your heart, you can go to the Underworld right away."

Mukan wielded the moon blade weapon and threatened him. 

The next words, however, made the party of Ian much more nervous. 

"Second, triumph over me. If you fight me and win, I'll take you to the Underworld directly."

A well-known gamer in the virtual reality game community, Ian.

He reset his lv 93 character to obtain a hidden class… but the class he chose was the most useless class in Kailan, the summoner? Morning came slowly for Jack and his small party. They stayed at a simple inn to avoid any unwanted attention. As the sun rose, they were already on the streets searching for a caravan to join.
It wasn't hard to find a merchant willing to give them passage for a fee. Considering that Keela was pretending to be gravely ill to cover her face, it was quite a sum that they had to pay, but it was part of the plan.
The merchant offered to lower it if Rydel took a role as a guard, but he was too worried about his sick daughter to handle guard duty.
All three were cooped up in a covered wagon together with bundles of merchandise. In an hour, they would have crossed the Zuran-Reinolt border and be able to fly the rest of the way.
With their change of plans, they were cutting it very close to their deadline.
Sadly, other than by Rydel's roc, there was no other way for people from Reinolt City to reach the border, if not, then Zariff and Maynard would have rushed there overnight. Instead, the three of them would have to hope for the best.
Jack had started to wonder what else might go wrong. If he could prevent such issues from happening, then he'd be able to change his fate and Slivia's.
"Jack, calm down already. If we make it, then we'll make it. If not, you said you were already aware of our chance of failure," stated Rydel in a hushed tone. They made sure to speak quietly while in the caravan.
Not satisfied with his chances, Jack ignored Rydel and kept trying to think of possible ways to speed up the journey.
"Umm, are you okay, Jack?" asked Keela. It was easy for her to sense that Jack didn't have the calm and confident attitude he showed in the catacomb.
"I'm fine, I just wish that we could go faster." Not wanting to talk, Jack leaned back and closed his eyes.
Rydel and Keela both started to worry about him, but they couldn't do anything. So, in the meantime, Keela and Rydel talked about everything that was happening in the Reinolt Kingdom.
Also, Rydel started to explain what the Adventurers Association was and what it stood for. Since Keela was raised in the Zuran Empire, she had only heard about the Adventurers Association from passing stories. Now that she would be officially joining Jack's party, it was important for her to become an association member and learn about her future role in the team.
Keela was lv. 27, but Jack was able to overpower because she was a pure cleric and could only cast healing spells. Of course, she was extremely talented at those and was a perfect fit in their party dynamic.
'Jack, calm down.' Bowzer popped out of Jack's cloak and started rubbing his soft fur all over Jack.
'I'm fine Bowzer, why don't you play with Keela. She still has to get used to you, okay?'
The fox pup frowned but he nodded. 'Okay.'
As Bowzer crawled into Keela's arms and let her pet his fur, Jack was trying to find ways to distract himself.
Then he remembered about all the loot from Ponlinne's tomb. Not wanting to whip out valuable items in such a place, he went to his skill list first and purchased Eagle Eye. It was too good a skill to pass up.
Then he went to his achievement list and claimed his latest reward.
[When everyone knows your name, but not your face: claimed]
[Because well-known in a country using your real name but not your face. Reward: 20 skill points.]
After buying Eagle Eye, Jack was left with thirty-five skill points, which he decided to save for a rainy day.
Next, Jack inspected Ponlinne's activity log. Since he had more time to kill than he wanted, he figured that he might as well use it.
First, Jack confirmed that Ponlinne had managed to reach lv. 87. It was true! Jack had no clue how considering the level cap in "A Hero's Tale," but it had happened.
Second, Jack started inspecting the activity log for everything involving the catacomb. Like he had guessed, it was the same ancient crypt that Jack had visited in-game. However, according to Ponlinne, it had changed.
The crypt that Jack knew was for low-level grinding where the lower you went, the stronger the undead. It ranged from lv. 15 to lv. 35.
Ponlinne, in some diary entries, mentioned that the crypt had started to change after the Holy War ended. It had started to spawn monsters of all levels, but only in accordance with whoever was inside the crypt.
He had sent a party of lv. 20's inside and they returned after facing creatures as strong as lv. 29. Yet, whenever Ponlinne entered, he had to face lv. 80's and had once seen a lv. 88 creature before he ran away.
Jack had guessed that Ponlinne stayed near that crypt to try and grind to level up. If there was a new patch or expansion that raised the level cap, then that would explain why Ponlinne made his home there. Where else would a cleric be able to solo grind other than facing strong undead creatures?
Checking information about his death, Jack discovered that Ponlinne had died against a lv. 89 lich king. Though Ponlinne was a powerful wielder of holy magic, the lich king was too much and caused his death.
Ponlinne had even tried to run away from the battle, but the lich king made it impossible. The moment the lich king had caught him in its sights, it chased Ponlinne until he was dead.
"That's one way to go. At least he was still only a player at the time." 
Jack started to think about what he would've done if he were stuck in a place like that. It wouldn't be easy, but Jack thought he would at least enjoy the thrill while he could.
Also, Jack wondered what had caused the crypt to change. Ponlinne had tried to investigate, but he wasn't successful. He did, however, discover some rather interesting information about the crypt.
Depending on who was inside the crypt, the layout would change. The higher someone's level was, the deeper the crypt went. According to Ponlinne, the lich king was the final monster at the very bottom of the crypt. Behind the lich king's tomb, there were closed doors. Had Ponlinne succeded, he thought those doors would open to reveal the real secrets of the crypt. Sadly, he failed against the final monster, even with his holy magic being super effective against undead.
Just then, a distant shout rang out. "Halt!"
The wagon came to a gradual stop and the sounds of horses trotting also stopped. Against Jack's wishes, the entire caravan had stopped.
Unhappy with the sudden development, Jack grunted and exited the wagon in search of the merchant.
"Excuse me, but what's going on?" asked Jack.
The merchant shrugged, "Nothing, the border patrol is just backed up. Apparently they're being extra cautious today, something about a noblewoman being kidnapped by a middle-aged man on a bird. Seriously, these stories just keep getting weirder and weirder.
"Tell me about it," sighed Jack. "Any idea how long it'll be?"
"There's a huge pile-up, so we'll probably be adding at least another half a day to our trip, maybe even a full day. I'm sorry for the inconvenience."
Squinting at the many wagons ahead of them in line, Jack shrugged his shoulders and hid his anger. "I guess that's just the way it is. Hopefully, this will blow over quickly. Thank you."
He walked back to the wagon and informed Rydel and Keela of the news.
"Wow, this makes things more difficult. We should be fine, but it'll definitely take longer." Suddenly, Rydel looked more concerned. "Jack, you know what this means, right?"
Jack didn't respond, but both Rydel and Jack could see the pain in his eyes.
"Everything's going to be okay, Jack, really. It's just going to take some more time, that's all." Keela did her best to try and comfort Jack. Little did she know, she made it worse.
Seeing Jack like that, Rydel added, "Hey Jack, don't try anything funny, no matter what! If we're caught, they have plenty of people over lv. 30. Even with your fox, there's no guarantee that we could escape through a fight. And don't try and blame her either, This would've happened either way, and you know that deep down."
Not wanting to accept reality, Jack's eyes started to water. With all his heart, he wanted so much to dash out and force his way into Reinolt, but Rydel was right. 
There was no chance of them breaking through the border with only those him, Rydel, and Bowzer attacking. Plus, they would have to protect Keela, which would be next to impossible. 
The Zuran Empire was an ancient empire that had survived for a long time. Though the Zuran Empire was being held off thanks to a powerful expert in Reinolt, the empire's overall strength was head and shoulders higher above Reinolt's. All the guard captains were at least lv. 30 and they could never guess how many lv. 30's they would have to face to breach the border.
Against all of Jack's hopes, wishes, and plans, he was forced to quietly wait in a wagon for his chance to peacefully cross the border, effectively failing to save Slivia.

“Are you scared of going in the mine? There will be lots of goblins.” Jack was curious to see how brave the little fox could be.

“Me no scared!” With his chest puffed out, the fox pup tried his best to appear intimidating but despite his efforts, Bowzer was even more adorable when he did this.

A weird smell of incense woke me up from my sleep.... 'Where is this faint incense smell coming from?'.. I wondered stranding up quietly to not wake up the others, but to be honest if they were sleeping through Daisy's and Scarlets loud snoring I'm pretty sure they can sleep through anything. I noticed Paul wasn't here.... 'He must be in his room'.... I quietly and carefully crepted to his door opening it slowly and silently a possible. 'Hmmmm he's not here either...' noticing his bed was untouched and perfectly made. 'He must be where the incense smell is coming from....' following my nose I discovered the smell was coming from his locked room that was left slightly open.
"Paul?..." I whispered opening the door slightly to peer inside. I starred in awe quietly as it looked like a museum.... hundreds and hundreds of things on shelves and glass cabinets with the source of the smell coming deep within the room.
Curiosity getting the better of me as always I silently slipped into room taking care not to open the door too much. It was truly amazing... I guess this is Paul's personal treasure trove of items and equipment..... Slowly I made my way deeper into the room the smell of incense getting stronger and stronger. "Paul." I said noticing the back of someone that looked like they was in a wheel chair.
"Emilia?..." He turned around to face his eyes red and swollen from crying.
"Hey you okay?..." I asked worried about him walking closer.... "What are you doing?.." I asked noticing he had packs and packs of incense.
"It's my way of paying my respects to those who passed away...." He said in a solemn tone returning to face a large ash filled tray filled with stalks of completely burned incense.
"Can I?..." I asked politely.
"Yeah..... Here." He said taking out two stalks of incense and lighting them for me. "Just you know... Pray for them and hope they find their way to heaven..." He said putting them in my right hand and placing my left hand around my right to resemble praying hands. I closed my eyes praying they find a way to heaven and opened my eyes.
"Now you just plant it into the ash tray....." He said guiding my hand to imbed the stalks into the ash tray where the two he lit earlier was still burning.
"Are these all the Students of Atlantis that has lost their lives?..." I questioned quietly to maintain the solemn atmosphere.
"Yes... All the students and individuals that unfortunately we lost due to my decisions and actions..." He answered closing his eyes taking a deep breathe.
"I thought we only lost one student....." I questioned noticing we burnt two stalks.
"We lost on students.... and one Guard bravely sacrificed himself to complete a task for me..." He explained as tears began to flow down his eyes. I instinctively pulled his head closer to me holding him tightly, 'just what have you been through all these years?.....''
He silently pulled his head away gently after calming down and pulled out a big handful of incense and began lighting them all in small bunches. "This set are for all the soldiers that I murdered today... I don't know how many...." He said imbedding the incense into a larger bowl is alot more left over stalks.
"Let me..." I said taking some bunches and began helping him to finish planting the incense taking care not to burn myself.
We prayed in silence for a few seconds before raising our heads........ "Come let's go..." He said with intense sorrow in his eyes.
"You can't keep blaming yourself." I said to him quietly and respectfully.
"I know...... I tell myself that as well.... but I always wondered maybe if I was a little smarter or more prepared I could save lives on both sides....." He cursed.
"Paul you did your best..... And that's all anyone can ask for..." I said trying to comfort him. He nodded in silence but I can tell from his expression he's punishing and blaming himself for everything that happened.
"So what is this room?..." I asked after a few minutes of silence hoping to get his mind off things.
"This is the room we have for extremely dangerous items and artifacts....." He explained wheeling through the room. "For example..... See that Pitch Black floating crystal encased in glass?.." He asked me pointing at it.
"Yeah...." I answered.
"Well that is.... a Black Soul Stone containing a fragment of the Shackled Oblivion.... merely being near it will corrupt and drive someone insane and become a servant to the Shackled Oblivion with the ultimate goal of releasing it back into the universe." He explained making me take a few steps away from it.
"Can't you destroy it?..." I asked feeling frightened of the evil it can cause.
"Ohhh so small back story.... Shackled Oblivion Started a war with all the other Gods..... Wanting to bring darkness and death to everything that living.... It took the combined might of all the Gods to defeat it... and even then could only shackle it in the plane of Oblivion where it stays trapped for eternity, eternally fighting scheming and finding ways to unbind itself......" He explained.
"So no destroying it?.." I asked.
"I don't think I have the power to..... Nor do I know what will happen if I did...." He answered.
"We're safe right?.." I questioned.
"The glass case it's in is protected with a null zone.... but even then going near it will cause very disturbing images." He answered.
"Gotcha don't go near it..." I answered, "You got anything that won't spell disaster and doom to the whole world?.." I asked jokingly.
"Ohhh this is cool..." He said pointing at a large egg encased in a similar glass case, it was beautiful.... all across the shell was bright lights of different intensities all flowing in one direction like the night sky as if I was peering into space itself. "That is the Egg of one of the rarest Dragons to ever exist.... A Celestial Dragon....." He smiled seeing my reaction.
"A space dragon?..." I asked.
"Yes..... A Celestial Dragon is an everlasting Dragon that lives in the Astral plane.... even I have never seen one... can you imagine?... the infinite knowledge it must have..." Paul explained in awe. "Anyways because time doesn't flow in the Astral Plane..... The only way a Celestial Dragon can reproduce is laying an egg in a plane of existence... We came across this specimen when we cleared a Dragon Cult..." He smiled.
"Will it hatch?.." I asked curiously.
"Scarlet and Ashley say's there is a Baby Dragon in there.... but we've had it for years and nothing has happened so far... even its mother hasn't returned for it." Paul explained.
"Wow... what do they look like?.." I asked curiously.
"From what I've read.... they are like Serpentine Dragons similar to those you see in Chinese Mythology they are depicted to be ethereal…. Beautiful coloured in purple and blue." Paul answered.
"Wow..." I uttered in awe my imagination going wild.
"Ohh this is interesting..." He said pointing at an urn..... Encased in ice constantly spewing out blue and black smoke falling to the grounds of its confines.
"That seems evil..." I instinctively said just looking at it brought chills up my spine.
"Remember the object that kept the Evil person from dying in the books you love to read so much?..." He asked.
"Yeah....." I answered.
"Well that..... Is the Urn of a Lich called a Phylactery..... That is the only true way to kill a Lich... destroy the Urn and the Soul of the Lich contained within will die to." He explained.
"Woah....." I looked at it in complete fear. "Who does it belong to?..." I asked.
"Holding a Lich's Phylactery keeps the Lich at bay..... It's an insurance policy." Paul answered.
"Why not just destroy it.....?" I questioned.
"A Phylactery is one of the most ancient of Necromantic Rituals and spells... It has been noted that destroying a Phylactery will also result in the destroyer's death regardless of where they are...... and not only that the immense amount of Necromantic energy in that small Urn will let out a giant Death nova rendering a huge area Lifeless for decades." Paul answered.
"So earlier before.... about Scarlets armour being made out of Platinum Dragon Scales... what is that?..." I questioned.
"It's a long story..... There was One dragon the true God of Dragons....... It birthed two Dragon Gods... Bahamut the King of Dragons the only known Platinum Dragon to ever exist... and Tiamat the Queen of Dragons...... Bahamut and his metal coloured kin are normally considered good and fight for righteousness...... Then there's Tiamat and her coloured kin..... They have normal colours like green black and red..... They are considered generally evil and selfish." He began to explain making me wonder was it a dragon that I saw back in the Sporean village. "As you remember Helen and Grace's look of disbelief..... Since Gods can't come here how is it possible to get the scales of a Platinum Dragon?" He chuckled.
"So what is it made out of?.." I questioned.
"No idea... to be honest….. It's defiantly made from Dragon scale but how and what exactly.... I don't know." He chuckled.

Jack's narrowed eyes opened slightly as his gaze fell upon the leg clenching Leslie, his first Wife, as a rush of chemicals flooded the brain that grew within his skull.

[Ah... I... Wow...] Jack revaluated Leslie, again. It seemed that possessing flesh and having a brain again with his soul attached changed his thought patterns. At least the chemicals that it produced seemed to influence him greatly.

"Ya brought Us here witchy, soz stop makin' goo-goo eyes wit ya first wife, and tell Us bosses what it is ya needs." Crag took in another strong hit of dust, as his give-a-fuck meter was at an all-time low.

All of the present undead collectively drew their gaze to Crag, as he smiled largely.

"Wut? Ya want a hit???" Crag looked slightly buzzed, as he then responded, "Sorry, but this is for me and the big boss to enjoy... Ya butch of mugs can piss off, wit whatever ya thinking."

"That's enough, Crag." Jack raised his right hand to Crag.

Crag noticed his buzz just went away, and a chill crawled along his bones, as he sat straighter in his seat. It was only now that he realized that he had the ire of all of the members of the Clergy and the amusement of the rest.

Jack took another look at Leslie, as then then looked over the rest, and with his strangely hypnotic voice he continued, "What Crag said is correct, however crass. We don't have much time. Pope Lucius detained a strange child within the jails not long ago, and I'm sure many that need to know, know of her strangeness."

The military, Clergy, Holy Sentinels, and Leslie all nodded.

"I don't know how to break this easily, so I will just be straight forward. That was the child of the union of Life and Death. The grandchild of the Creator, himself."

A collective gasp rang from the zombie undead, while a rattling sound emanated from the skeletal undead.

Jack pressed both hands in the air down, as a sudden silence occurred. Mark tilted his head as he continued to watch the actions of this undead in front of him. He looked down at his hands and watched the front icicled in his hands being forcibly pulled to the floor, as if some invisible force besides gravity was in play.

[So, the Lich King returns... But... Now what do I do?] Mark looked over to Janet, who took her eyes off the God-King to match his gaze. Mark could see fear behind her eyes, as he reached out with his left hand to hold Janet's. Janet squeezed Mark's hand in response.

"It seems the Church of the Three Gods have pulled some tricks and have snatched this child from Our Jail Quarters."

Lucius slammed his hands on the table he was seated and rose quickly.

"Don't bother checking... Death has already informed me that she's gone." Jack spoke in response.

"Then what do we do!?" Lucius sat back down but maintained his panic.

"We go to war. Death has given us three days to retrieve his daughter, or this world will be no more."

"Why doesn't Mr. Death just save his own daughter." Mark spoke up, causing a wave of ill from the rest present, and the narrowing of Leslie's eyes, as she turned to see him.

"That's the point. We all die, when he comes to get her. Either we secure her and our lives, or he secures her, and we are forfeit. Or... Mark Lokson, would you rather that we sit here and ask stupid questions until doomsday?"

Mark let go of Janet's hand, as he hardened his voice, "How do you know that name?!"

Jack narrowed his eyes, "With the history of death, what don't I know? Again, I don't have time for your or anyone's antics save for my own selfishness. The rest of you that would rather wait for your demise, step up now so I may strike you down to save myself the time."

A General of the Spellslingers, Legion of Warmarshal Stephanie, raised his head to speak, "Your own selfishness, my God-King?" This short stout zombie undead continued to look upon the God-King as he questioned his wording.

Stephanie glared to the side of her, as she regretted now bringing this newly appointed general with her... Others within the Court didn't understand why anyone would question the God-King after his announcement.

Jack smiled as he looked upon the General, "Yes, my own selfishness. General. I believe that's your rank from your medals. What is your name?"

"Uh, Bart Metelhearts."

"I see... Warmarshal Chaoshood, please arrange an offering to the Metalhearts Clan as an apology."

Stephanie Chaoshood had no idea what she was to apologize for or what to offer, but she responded, "Yes, my God-King."

Jack continued to smile as he nodded, he raised his thick right arm, and pointed to the General, "Bart Metalhearts... Kill yourself."

A strange hue of black, purple, and greenish-blue colors came from around the General and entered into him. Bart Metalhearts then stood up, and shouted, "...as... you command..." with his, now, blank eyes, he placed both of his hands on either side of his head and he pushed together with all the force of his Grand Master cultivator rank.

Black blood and brain matter burst forth, as his powerless body slumped and fell to the floor, staining the white rug that split the courtroom in two. Everyone watched the cruel punishment in front of them. Some wondered how the God-King did it, while others hoped they were not next. Joan licked her lips, as the snakes in her hair tasted the air that contained the scent of black blood excitedly.

"Anyone else, feel the same?" Jack swept his flaming eyes across the room.

Many thoughts crossed the minds of the undead present, but none voiced them.

"Good. Very little information was provided to me, but what little I do know, is that Borda has a port exclusively for the Church of the Three Gods. I need the Warbreakers and Spellslingers to assemble east of the city within the next six hours, the faster the better."

"Warmarshal Joan!"

"YES, MY GLORIOUS GOD-TYRANT!"

Jack's smile curved ever so slightly at the edges, "You will be the vanguard as the Warbreakers are always. You shall lead my forces. We are not just attacking the Church of the Three Gods... But all of Borda..."

"YES, YES! BY YOUR VERDICT!!! OH, GOD-KING I SHALL KILL ENDLESSLY AND DRINK DEEPLY THE BLACK BLOOD THAT SEEPS INTO THE LANDS, ALL IN YOUR APOCALYPTIC NAME! KILL THE POPULOUS, BURN THE CITIES, RAZE THE LANDS, AND **** THE RESOURCES!"

"Yes... This is good, Joan... Now... Be off." Jack gentle waves his left hand as if he was bored, but his expression showed his pleasure.

Joan stood, and grabbed the spaced-out Verruca to her side and frog marched her massive form out of the courtroom followed by Warmarshal Stephanie Chaoshood. The dead body of her General left behind. Stephanie cared not for the General... Her unlife was the God-King's... Even with her love for her husband, he didn't have claim to her life, as the God-King did...

"Pope Lucius."

"My God-King?" Lucius felt out of sorts seeing Jack be so heartless to a General. While he knew that Jack had a cold streak, it seemed he was enjoying it this time...

"Stir the hearts of the masses. Our war with Borda is just. They angered Death. Remember Lucius. I am the God-King. All are equal in death... but all in death serve me."

Lucius was about to agree with Jack but then heard the ending statement. It had always been, "All are equal in death." What was this tacked on the end? "All in death serve him???"

Mark commented, "Lich King."

"What?" Jack looked up.

"Sorry. I just happened to remember a passage I once read about you." Mark commented seeming to have regained his usual composure from earlier.

"Oh? That's nice." Jack brushed aside the comment, and continued, "Holy Sentinels. I will be going with the Legions for their war on Borda and the Church of the Three Gods. Come with me if you wish."

A buzz issued, and then silenced.

Jack nodded.

"I ask everyone here, not to leak this information." Jack commented looking at the others.

"I hope that you will aid me in these endeavors. Suppress the information of the end, encourage the death of Borda and their false church, and lastly... Hail to I, the God-King of my Pantheon." Jack said coldly.

"My dearest, and most precious wife, Leslie... Please see fit to execute anyone that decides to divulge this information, and any that hear it."

Leslie nodded absentmindedly.

"Good. Alright then. I'll be off in six hours. Oh, and Mark."

Mark nodded, as Jack spoke, "You'll be going with Us. You know how these rats of the Three Gods scurry about the best, so it will aid me greatly."

Mark nodded again, though slowly.

Jack turned to leave, as he heard a voice, "God-King! I have made progress!"

"Doctor Hollowell?" Jack turned, as his flaming eyes peered at the insane doctor.

"Do tell?" Jack spoke amused, as the rest of the court began to disperse.

Are we ever wholly dead? Completely dead? 

Jack has lived a lonely sad life, and we follow him into death! Follow Jack's journey into death, where he finds that death isn't the end, but just the beginning.

After death, Jack awakes in a new world, very alien from our own, in every way one can imagine. As some things change, others do not; is it human nature that is vile or do all intelligent beings become a slave to their ambitions.

Jack finds himself the ruler of an undead kingdom. Furthermore, he is The Holy Witch King, an undead with Holy powers? What's a bonehead to do?

Looking at the creature that suddenly appeared, Jasmine and Ophis were quite surprised by its appearance. They were so focused on Mesa and hoping for him to pull through, that they failed to notice the appearance of the Lich King. After it appeared, Jasmine looked at it and was suddenly struck with fear. 

"What is that thing?! Where did it come from?!" Said Jasmine in distress. 

"Big sis, what is the matter?" Asked Ophis, who was caught off guard by Jasmine's sudden outburst. Pointing her finger at the Lich King, Ophis looked at it and was getting angry herself. Though its power was nothing compared to her own, the feeling that she got from it was not one she liked.

"That thing over there! What is that thing and how did it get here?!" Said Jasmine. 

"Big sis, is that not a devil from this world?" Asked Ophis. 

"I don't know. There shouldn't be any devils left." Said Jasmine. 

Right after this, they saw the Lich King start bringing the dead back to life. After seeing this, Jasmine was certain about one thing. This is not a devil from this world. But the big question remaining was: 'How did it get in this world?'

But seeing as how the Lich King was about to go and kill Xia Qingyue and Mesa, Jasmine decided to ignore the question of how it got here and wanted to go out and help Mesa. 

"Ophis, let's go! That thing wants to kill Mesa! We have to help him!" Said Jasmine hurriedly as she grabbed Ophis and wanted to leave the Sky Poison Pearl. But to her major surprise, she found out that she couldn't exit the Sky Poison Pearl. Wondering what was going on, she suddenly heard Mesa's voice. 

"Didn't I tell you to stay in there Jasmine. I am gonna get that Infinity Stone and I need you to stay in there." Said Mesa as he was getting up. 

"Mesa! You're awake! What happened?" Asked Jasmine. 

"Overexertion. That's what happened. I am using Avalon and Vergil's instant healing powers way more than normal right now to heal myself. And there's no need for you both to worry, I'll take care of that thing." Said Mesa as he walked over to Xia Qingyue and patted her on the head, taking over the fight against the Lich King.

With its light piercing through the skies, Mesa knew that his barrier he'd set up was destroyed. Thus he had very little time to finish this fight, before other people arrived on the scene. Focusing his attention back on the Lich King, he saw him blocking out the light of Excalibur while screaming in pain, but he knew that this would only end up angering him even more than actually damage him. 

Once the light had faded away, the Lich King furiously looked at Mesa and saw the sword shining with a golden light in his hands and spoke angrily in his characteristic echo voice: "YOU! That sword! That is not Ashbringer! Where did you get that sword!"

Holding Excalibur with both hands to his side, Mesa just smiles smugly at the Lich King, which further infuriates his, and proceeds to tell him: "You're right, this isn't Ashbringer. It's far, far worse, for you at least. This sword is Excalibur. The strongest holy sword and the pinnacle of holy swords. For a creature of such dark evil such as yourself, this sword is your worst nightmare, your Achilles heel so to speak."

Infuriated, the Lich King launches himself at Mesa and attacks him with Frostmourne. Mesa, using his Sharingans and his Observation Haki, could just keep up with the Lich King's speed. Using the Power Stone to increase his strength, he meets the Lich King head on. Putting his instant healing factor and Avalon into overdrive to keep the strain from using the Power Stone away, Mesa clashes with the Lich King. Their clash causing the space around them to tremble with massive gust of wind blowing away everything that wasn't bolted to the ground. From a distance, their clash caused both of their aura's to envelop them in a cocoon that were pushing against each other. Mesa aura had a golden shine to it and the Lich King's aura had a crystal blue with black shine to it. 

In the distance, people could feel their clash. They felt the evil darkness of the Lich King and the holy light of Mesa using Excalibur clash against each other. 

Back at the fight. Mesa and the Lich King were pushing against each other with all their might, trying to overpower the other. Swinging their swords against each other with all their might, they fought like wild lions trying to kill each other with everything they had. Every time their swords clashed, the space around them would tremble from their violent clash, massive gales would travel across the land and earthquakes were devastating were felt many, many felt away. After a while, they both were thrown back by the violence of their clash. 

'Goddamn! I knew he was strong, but this is just ridiculous! Even with that instant healing and Avalon working overtime, my body still hurts like hell from having to use so much power from the Power Stone. I'll have to finish this with my next attack. And I know exactly what to do.' Thought Mesa, formulating a plan to end this fight quickly as he got back up on his feet. 

"You! Once I am done with you! I shall torture you, and you will beg for mercy and I will deny you! your anguished cries will be testament to my unbridled power! I will keep you alive until the end and make you watch as I torture and kill everyone you have ever loved in front of you! You will beg for mercy as I make them my slaves and remake the rest of this world into my image!" Yelled the Lich King in rage. 

"How about you stop talking all this bullshit and start showing me that so called 'unbridled power' of yours." Said Mesa mockingly, enraging the Lich King. 

"You insolent wretch! Suffer the pain of a thousand deaths!" Yelled the Lich King.

Next thing he knew, the Lich King had suddenly appeared in front of Mesa, swinging his sword downward. For Mesa, this all happened at a speed he could just barely register with his Sharingans. This proved that during their earlier clash, the Lich King was holding back his powers. As Frostmourne inches closer to Mesa's face, he barely managed to squeeze the Infinity Gauntlet and use the Power Stone to cause a shockwave that blasted the Lich King back. All of this happened in a tiny fraction of a second. If Mesa was just a tiny bit later, he would been hit by the Lich King's attack. 

Blown back, the Lich King quickly got back up and wanted to charge at Mesa again. But to his major surprise, he saw countless golden portals around him. Just as he was wondering what those things were, golden chains start shooting out of those portals and wrapping themselves around him. The golden chains wrapped around his limbs, torso, neck and his weapon, ensuring that he can't move no matter what. Wanting to get rid of these chains, the Lich King desperately struggles to get them off. But to his surprise, no matter how much he tried, it was like his body was completely sapped of its strength. 

"What is this?! What are these chains?!" Bellowed out the Lich King while he desperately struggling against the binding effect of the golden chains, but to no avail. 

In the midst of his desperate struggle, he heard a condescending chuckle. Looking at the source, he saw Mesa standing back up and chuckling at him. Chuckling condescendingly at him, Mesa proceeded to tell the Lich King what happened: "Well, well, well. Looks like you just activated my trap card."

"You filthy worm! What are you talking about?! What are these chains?!" 

"Those chains are called Enkidu: The Chains of Heaven. They are a special type of chain, whose function it is to bind the gods and sap their strength. Seeing as how you are a god-like being, these chains, together with Excalibur truly are the bane of your existence. And now…" Said Mesa as he grabbed Excalibur with both hands and pointed its tip towards him. 

"…it's time to finish this!" With its tip pointed towards the Lich King, Mesa thrusted Excalibur at the Lich King while at the same time charging it with massive amounts of power from the Power Stone, making it to light up in its blinding holy light and calling out its name.

EXCALIBUR!!!!!

Releasing its holy light in a Kamehameha-like beam that travelled for many, many miles, Mesa obliterates the Lich King and wipes out all traces of him from this world. Their battle had ravaged the land around them. All around him, giant holes and massive crevices dotted the landscape. Some holes were filled with mud as underground water seeped to the surface. Knowing that he had no time stay here seeing as how the rest of people who came here with them, would start converging on this spot, he made a quick exit. Opening a another golden portal, but this one much bigger than every other one at this point and brings out Vimana, the flying throne stored within the Gate of Babylon. 

Looking around, he finds Articuno and Xia Qingyue sitting a few miles away behind some rocks, probably as a means to protect themselves from the violent clash between Mesa and the Lich King. Using his String-String Fruit powers, he fashioned two ropes from his hands that he used to wrap around Articuno and Xia Qingyue and pulled them back onto Vimana. And immediately after, Mesa took off into the sky and made sure to get as away from this place as possible while using its optical camouflage to avoid any detection. Not even five minutes later, the first person, Ling Yuefeng, shows up and looks around horrified at the aftermath of Mesa battle with the Lich King.

'What in heaven's name happened here?! What kind of power could have caused all this devastation?! I need to somehow contact the Four Sacred Grounds and tell them about this! They are the only ones who are even remotely capable of investigating this!' Thought Ling Yuefeng to himself in distress looking at the devastation around him and feeling the remnants of the power of the Lich King and Excalibur.  Just thinking about the titans that just fought here made his skin crawl with fear. He knew that, had he gotten here five minutes earlier, he would have been killed in a second without ever being able to fight back.  

Pretty soon, everyone else started showing up. Looking at their faces, it was evident that they were also scared here and wanted to know what happened here. Looking around, Ling Yuefeng saw that everyone that entered the Heaven Secret Basin Realm was present. Everyone except the Burning Heaven Clan group, the Xiao Sect group and the Heavenly Spear Thunderfire Sect group. After explaining everything he knew and gathering the information from what the other groups encountered, Ling Yuefeng was now more determined to have the Four Sacred Grounds investigate what happened here. 

Back in the skies, Mesa and Xia Qingyue were flying through the skies with no one saying a word. After a while, Mesa decided to speak up first: "Well, that was something wasn't it?"

Xia Qingyue turned her head and looked Mesa deeply in the eyes without saying a word for a few minutes, before she opened her mouth: "Mesa, what is really going on? What was that… that THING! That Demonic monster! Nothing you said makes sense! What is really going on here?" 

"….<Deep inhale>…Ohh boy. I knew this would happen sooner or later, but not this soon" Muttered Mesa to himself before he looked at Xia Qingyue and opened his mouth.

English is not my first language so be prepared for a grammatical mistake or two. But do not think that this fanfic will be filled with mistakes. I speak, read and write English as good as my first language. "Sweet!"


Two chains with the length of many meters dangled down as each ring was being lit by the white Ashen Flame. Jon reinforced his control by folding the chains around his hands once then give them a shake.


*Tink* *Tink* *Tink*


And they were to his liking.


One man who is supposedly a Dragon Priest was facing one Ancient Lich and three Nether Liches. The odds were totally uneven but in these cases, it is advised to play the game by a new set of rules.


No matter how good his talent in Magic is, this fight was hopeless for Jon if he kept fighting using Magic. A physical fight, on the other hand, is the right equalizer for this situation.


"Get him!"


As Falkyn shouted, four Liches cast magic at Jon from every direction.


"Fat chance!"


Jon pulled off 120% of his strength and speed as he pulled the chains up. In a second, they were moving around him like in whirls intercepting every Magic.


With [Ahzidal's Boots of the Apostle], no matter what surface he stood on or what altitude it is, Jon was moving unhindered.


With sure movements he advanced to the nearest Nether Lich with his body reinforced with Aura, the next move was a flashing flying straight kick with both feet launching the Lich backward.


"Restrain his movements!"


The Liches tried to bind him with barriers, seven layers of an unknown spell stacked up around him but with brute force, Jon ripped that Magicka in those barriers by waving the chains around.


Magic may be able to restrain Warriors but fast and flashy martial arts were of great risk to any spell caster. That, of course, didn't mean that those Liches were not experts in close quarters combat.


The remaining three Liches tried to attack with their staves using a close-range spell but to no avail, Jon controlled the trajectory of his movements by attaching a chain to the ground and pulling himself away.


As the Liches were trying to return to formation, the other chain found its way to the neck of one of the Nether Liches wrapping itself around it and pulling him towards Jon. As the Lich tried to gain a view of the direction he was pulled to, Jon's knee entered the screen.


Even though Nether Liches are partially ghosts, a physical attack supported with Aura can sting where it hurts. The Lich got the feeling of having his skull being rammed through his nose. Unpleasant as it is, Jon's merciful style included an elbow attack between the neck and shoulder after that knee.


Then the other knee upwards to the chin.


Then a hand chop to the neck.


By that move, the target should be stunned so what follows is a finishing attack. Jon would break the neck but considering the nature of a Lich, it was better to overload the eight major energy points with Magicka causing a backflow and soul damage.


The poor Lich was over and sent back to the Phylactery he recovers in.


"Daaaym! This song is getting to me. Whatever!"


Jon turned to the Ancient Lich Falkyn and the remaining Nether Lich, the two got nervous as Jon started to charge at them but suddenly, he got stopped.


It seemed that the chain holding down was stuck in something, the two Liches wouldn't let the chance pass by and Jon knew it but he couldn't help but look at whatever stopped him.


And who would have thought it was the other Nether Lich he blasted away earlier. That Lich was holding to Jon's chain with his staff trying to not let him move.


What that Lich didn't know was that Jon was smiling under his mask.


"Wrong move, buddy."


Feeling a chill all of a sudden, the Lich looked towards Jon who was surely up to no good.


Jon pulled the chain so fast and descended towards the Lich… Butt forward.


Historians never recorded what was the fate of that certain Lich but it was agreed that this was the first Lich ever that was killed by a stinkface attack.

"Two down, two to go."


Jon stood up stretching his waist left and right before dodging to the side as a heavy barrage of [Necrotic Spears] landed where he is.


"Rude!"


"Kill him now. This trickster is troublesome! Keep him at bay." Falkyn shouted as he used every possible spell to catch Jon with.


"I don't need you to tell me that!" The Nether Lich retorted.


Jon zigzagged and teleported a couple of times as he evaded the [Defiled Ground], [Necrotic Barrage] and [Soul Cage] spells.


He was not given a chance to counter as the Liches kept flying further from him.


{Jax, one more time.}


Jon asked Jax for another distraction.


*Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*


Another series of explosions sounded by as more important places were set on fire.


Using the millisecond of distraction, Jon redirected himself at the Liches for a counter but they saw that trike before and were ready for him.


Still, it wasn't that simple.


Jon cut his counterattack short and someone else proceeded with it.


[Wrath] took the chance to sneak up as Jon was distracting the Liches and attacked Falkyn.


Falkyn had already lost an arm and could barely defend with his staff. The last Nether Lich was totally Jon's prey now. He saw Jon already so close to him so he turned tail and ran.


"Coward!" Falkyn groaned as his last ally abandoned him in such a tight situation.


Jon waved the chain at the Nether Lich catching it by the neck and the waist then let gravity take its course with a strong pull to spice up the body slam.


The Nether Lich fell and got badly damaged. The Ashen Flame took care of the rest turning the ghastly remains into ectoplasm.


Now, the only remaining Lich was Falkyn. Looking at him, it seemed that [Wrath] alone got him good.


Falkyn was hanging from a large pillar as his staff fell down and was still in the middle of recasting his Levitation Magic. Jon rudely teleported above Falkyn.


He looked down at the Lich who was helplessly hanging with one arm to the edge of the pillar, he leaned down and held Falkyn's hand with a twisted smile.


"Long live the K… no, not that one. Oh! Right, ehem! FUS RO DAH!"

Jumping down from the high pillar, Jon landed on the apocalyptic land with the other arm of Falkyn in hand.


"Good job, everyone." He said passing the arm to Jax.


Nefertiti and Wrath appeared as among the pile of bodies that belonged to both the necromancers and the undead.


The undead broken included a large number of Bone Colossuses and a few Flesh Atronachs one of them was very gigantic.


"Who the hell took that down?" Jon asked.


"Team effort." Nefertiti replied.


Seemingly, it was her, Jax and Wrath.


"I've seen one of those abominations once in the Three Fates ESO trailer in my past life. The thing stinks from a closer look." Jon said while kicking the large Flesh Atronach.


He turned around to Nefertiti.


"Where should we go?"


"This way."


Nefertiti turned around as she transformed into the Human Form and walked to the heart of the ruined city. Wrath and Jax followed as the latter threw the Lich's arm away.


In the middle of the Ghost World stood a grand temple with statues of people that resembled beauty, wisdom, justice, motherhood, bravery and all; Jon felt as if he was walking into a Greek temple. Most of the statues were intact but not clean maintained.


If such a realm fell in the hands of someone like Jon, he would have turned it into an incarnation of Olympus but sadly Mannimarco found it and maintained only what gained his interest leaving the rest to rot.


More to that, there were still more living people. Not necromancers but living prisoners, sacrifices of sort for the twisted rituals of the Worm Cult.


Children, women, elders… there was just all of them trapped in cages with nothing to cover their skin with exposing the brutalities they have been through. There were actual living souls in them but they were broken. Those who could talk would mutter words of madness in languages Jon never heard off.


(Aliens.) Shadow said.


"Oh please!"


(Aren't otherworldly beings called Aliens?)


"They are humans… and some other strange races. They are… people from other worlds."


(Which is basically Aliens.)


"Stop it, okay? Just… look at those people. Even the Soul Shriven had hope to fight back, had rags on their bodies and Daedric waste in their bellies. Those people are… I just can't begin to imagine what happened to them."


(Humanity at its best if I am allowed to say.)


"..."


(They are nothing but people who were unlucky enough to venture into the Sea of Chaos between the Universes and get caught by the Cult. The Rifts are the only places were all extraterrestrial species meet after all, just find a way to lure them in.)


"... It is sick."


(And look at you, the Hero who stopped the Evil Cult. As soon as you are done here, the realm will collapse given time. Those people are as good as dead so you can give them a merciful death if you want to or give them time to die.)


"No… they suffered long enough."


It only took Jon one click with his staff on the ground for his imagination to be real. Those who were imprisoned for soul extraction died silently and painlessly.


"Find solace for those who have harmed you have died in pain and more shall follow. Find home and peace beside those you love."


(A prayer? How nice of you! I wonder how would they feel if they know that their torture was prolonged only because of your actions that have led their jailors to a better fuel source leaving them as the emergency backup?)


"And their souls would have ended up as undead puppets forever otherwise?"


(You'll be surprised by the things people like them will trade to end the suffering.)


"I don't ask for understanding or forgiveness or any of that, okay? Just shut up."


True or not, there was a part of the responsibility on Jon's shoulders. He knows he doesn't have to be sorry for everything that gets broken by mistake, he understood the term of collateral damage but even monsters would feel the weight of their sins.


But that all was a reminder that the world is not a game.


He knows it… but reminders are reminders and the lessons of life come only after the tests.


"We are here, Hooman."


Getting pulled back to reality, Jon found himself in the inner sanctum of the temple he walked in, it was a large chamber filled with many weird objects. In front of him were four Nether Liches who looked in a dire condition.


"Hey again." Jon took the lead and aimed his staff forward.


"Stop him at all costs!"


"Together."


Jon ignored the Liches and cast [Eye of Magicka] revealing to him the Phylacteries of those Liches. A bunch of jars, chests, and voodoo objects were highlighted and his sight, by the next second, Jon imagined their destruction and [Pride] did the work.


*Wail* *Scream*


The Liches stopped what they are doing and started disintegrating into nothingness.


The Forces of the Order of the Black Worm in the Ghost World were officially wiped out.


The last remaining thing here was the large vault door and the research materials lying around. Jon gathered the materials as his trophy and pulled out the vault's door with Telekinesis.


Whatever riches behind it was pulled in the Cube without even thinking, some otherworldly treasures included. The most important thing, however, was kept deeper in the vault.


A naked woman restrained from her limbs inside a wall. Her beauty was peerless and her silence was soothing. Jon knew that she is his target.


"Azura."


Jon called but the woman did not respond. Rather, Azura's Star responded instead.


Jon held the Star as it glowed in his hand in many colors. Slowly and smoothly, another woman came out of the Star. She looked exactly similar to the captive woman.


"Perfect! Another Azura." Jon said.


{Not Azura I am, Labourer, but a mere fragment of the self embodying Dusk and Dawn.} The Woman who came from the Star said.


"Still with the same speaking problem I see."


Apparently, both women are Soul Fragments of Azura.


Soul Fragments of the Daedric Princes exist in their Daedric Artifacts. Jon's Sin Artifacts also have Soul Fragments of him.


The Captive Soul Fragment of Azura is the one who inhabited [Azura's Star] before Jon corrupts it. This Fragment was cast away through the voids of Oblivion only to get captured by Mannimarco. By using that Soul Fragment, the Ghost World could draw a great amount of power from a Daedric Prince and fuel the mass production and maintenance of undead.


The Free Soul Fragment of Azura is the one who entered the Star to return it to Azura's control. Now that the original one was found, this Soul Fragment had a job to do.


{Wake up.} She called.


Looking at the Captive Soul Fragment, Jon saw its eyes wide open glaring at him.


Without warning, his heart felt like jumping from its place.


It was clear that this Captive Soul Fragment is royally pissed at Jon at this moment.


The other Soul Fragment hurriedly picked up [Azura's Star] and aimed it at the Captive one.


{Return.}


Yet just like that, this super pissed Soul Fragment was pulled from her chains into the Star. Jon could still feel hostility from the Artifact.


{Usable to you it may not be yet a fine job you have delivered.}


From the looks of it, Jon was allowed to keep the [Azura's Star] in the first place for this moment when he returns what was stolen from Azura. Right now, the star is usable to him as the Soul Fragment in it wants to pull his brains out.


It was okay. Just one Soul Gem that cannot be broken and has a very large capacity.


But most importantly…


"So… my 7th Labour is over?" Jon asked.


Azura's Soul Fragment looked at him as it started fading away with the Star.

After the appraisal had ended, Mia had to go back to class to continue her study. As they parted ways, Baiyi originally wanted to head back to Mia's dormitory to continue looking through her textbooks but as he was about to enter the door, he was stopped by the dormitory supervisor, a middle-aged lady who was as big as a bear. From the hostility that she was projecting towards him, she had probably thought that Baiyi was some sort of perverted Soul Armature. As he had no documents to prove his innocence, she was not willing to change her mind at all.
Fine then! Baiyi did not want to argue with that lady whose arms were even thicker than his. So in the end, he decided to go strolling around the campus but he could not help muttering under his breath, "Wow, is this violent woman a cavewoman?"
"WHAT? No way! It's true that our cavewomen can be pretty strong but they have a robust and agile physique that gives them high speed and fast reflexes when they are battling their enemies. They would never be as fat as THAT!" The Voidwalker known as the Caveman argued loudly.
"Caveman is right, you know? Cavewomen really do have an enticing body that exudes a wild and untamed aura. It is a totally unique sight and charm that they have… mmm..." A Walker who was called the Bard chimed in, "Ah… This reminds me of the encounter that I had with them. It was a lovely and sweet evening that we had together..."
The rest of the Voidwalkers pretended like they did not hear him because nobody was willing to discuss this topic with him. Instead, they continued their previous topic of Mia's Grooming Plan. Well, they got so off-track again that it seemed like they did not take the whole thing seriously.
"After I have given it some serious thoughts, compared to the Belka system (T/N: in reference to Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha), I think that the Mid-Childa system would be more suitable for Mia, don't you guys think so?" The Walker who was also known as the Sorcerer said.
What the hell are you talking about? Are you trying to turn her into a white tyrant or something? Please don't randomly use this sort of setups from animes!
"But then it would be too slow! Not to mention the fact that she could get hurt easily! Her combat power during the later stage would not be strong as well. Hmm, let me see... How about we just ask Sir Hope to make a pact with her?" argued another Voidwalker.
Which anime are you talking about now? Do I really look like the long-headed demonic beast with white ears (T/N: in reference to Puella Magi Madoka Magica)? Besides, why do you all keep persisting on turning her into some sort of magical girl?
"Well, it's MOE! Don't you think so?" they retorted seriously.
Are they seriously discussing this right now? Oh my god! Are you all sure you are not some slapstick comedians? How the hell did you all managed to stoop so low? How did you all transformed from a group of powerful supernatural beings into a group of moe-loving weeaboos[1]?
"Well, in their defense, liking and pursuing cute things should not be restricted by one's background, power or status. You should apologise to them, you know," said the Archmage solemnly.
Wait a minute! Sir First Walker! You are speaking nonsense with that poker face of yours! I can't believe that you are corrupted too!
"No no no! Compared to them, I prefer something that has more depth," the Archmage explained defensively, "For example, there is one where three kings got together to discuss the King's conduct. That is pretty good! But then again, although Gilgamesh possessed the pride and demeanour of a King, I do think that he lacked the modesty that is essential to become a King. As for Artoria, well, she is one immature young girl (T/N: in reference to to Fate/Stay Night again). All she does is force herself..."
Oh, gosh! Can you please don’t take a fictional television show so seriously? With that poker face, I never knew that you, too, had turned into a comedian! Why would you discard your Voidwalker status and become a Type-Moon[2] fan instead?
"Who said that fictional productions are not worthy of discussion? As long as it can create a connection with another person, then it is definitely worth discussing. Don’t you think so?" The Archmage said with a stoic expression. It seemed like he did not mind the least that his image as the First Voidwalker was slowly going down the drain.
Baiyi could not stop himself from letting out an exasperated sigh. He could only acknowledge the fact that the long period of their imprisonment plus the strong cultural shock that they had experienced as an Earthling had made their minds go slightly haywire. As for Mia's Grooming Plan, well, all he could say was that this discussion had already past the point of no return. It appeared that they were planning to use some sort of alchemy technique to create a gigantic robot for Mia to pilot now. And at that moment, they were all discussing about robot models so passionately that Baiyi could not get a word in edgewise.
Because of that he decided that he might as well continue his walk around the Celestial Fortress Academy and have a look around. In actual truth, he originally planned to use his Psychic Energy to examine the whole campus but that idea was stopped by the rest of the Voidwalkers before he could do anything. They said that it would surely attract suspicion from other people. He had no choice other than to give up on the plan and use his own eyes to observe the academy that had a long and rich history behind it bit by bit. It was a good thing that the place had quite a nice ambience to it. Not only did it have its own unique sense of serenity and tranquility, it also contained a charm that only a vintage campus could have, giving him a sense of pleasantness.
I'm pretty far from Mia now, aren't I? Baiyi had came to a small and beautiful lakeside in the academy. As he leaned on a huge tree with dense branches and leaves, he used his Psychic Energy to estimate the distance between Mia and himself and found that they were at least 2000 metres apart. Yet, his sense of self still remained fairly stable and he could feel that his energy was still flowing into his body normally.
Well, it seems like the connection between Mia and I is stronger than most Soul Armature combinations. It's quite surprising I guess but at least, this would save us a lot of troubles in the future, Baiyi commented on his new discovery.
Usually, a normal Soul Armature and his Practitioner would not be able to stay too far apart from each other. Otherwise, the soul of the Soul Armature would leave the armour as a result of losing the connection to the Practitioner's soul that assisted in consolidating its soul. This distance was determined by the gap of the innate capabilities of both parties. If the gap between them was big, the amount of distance that they could be apart would shrink and vice versa. Truthfully speaking, the gap between Mia and Baiyi was so far apart that they should not have been able to leave each other's sight.
However, it was a good thing that there was a special connection between the both of them and by using this as the foundation, Baiyi had a hunch that there would not be a lot of restrictions between the both of them. Or it could also be some sort of compensation for his loss of strength, maybe? Perhaps he only needed to be careful to not let anybody else notice this unusual situation.
Just as this thought formed in his mind, a sweet curious voice could be heard suddenly. As most of his Psychic Energy was focused on determining the whereabouts of Mia just now, he did not notice the slight bit of movement beside him.
"Eh? A Soul Armature that is all by himself?"
Turning his head to have a look, Baiyi saw a pretty girl who was hugging her textbooks close to her chest. Her straight fringe was lying neatly on her forehead and her pair of big beautiful green eyes were looking at him curiously. Wearing the standard uniform of Celestial Fortress Academy, she had an additional golden rose brooch on her collar. Her magnificent golden long hair that fell over her back all the way to her slim and tiny waist was flowing along with the light breeze by the lake.
What a beautiful girl! That delicate features and body as well as the noble and elegant air that she exuded were so dazzling that it would turn the head of most people. She was undoubtedly wearing the exact same uniform as Mia but unlike Mia who looked cute in a childish way, she looked absolutely stunning and gorgeous in it, especially in that long white silk stockings that covered her legs. The heated discussion that the Voidwalkers were having came to an abrupt halt as they could not help but admire the girl’s gorgeous form.
"Whoa whoa whoa! A typical lady from a noble family! What a graceful little beauty!"
"What an unique aura she has. I guess she must have came from some aristocratic family. What a body she has too! Look at that pair of legs! Wow I really do feel like licking them..."
"Even though Mia is quite cute but she is no match for this beauty at all!"
Leaving those corrupted people aside, even the Illusionist and the Lich who were usually pretty decent could be heard saying:
"Ah... She reminds me of one of my good friends..."
"She reminds me of my granddaughter. Their beauty in this world are unparalleled..."
Whoa... Wait a minute! What is wrong with these two shameless old man? I can still accept 'good friend' even though it is such a typical excuse but hello, Mr. Lich? What did you mean by granddaughter? Are you trying to say that she is a banshee? That is quite a creepy comparison! Are you trying to compliment or insult her?
"Excuse me! I was a normal human being once before I became a lich okay? I even had a family of my own. What is so surprising about me having a granddaughter? Well, even though she did not know of my existence and spent her whole life living peacefully but still..."
Are you sure you did not turn her corpse into some sort of skeletal soldier or a banshee?
"No way! That is such a psychopathic thing to say! Even the Lich would never do that!
Alright fine! I'll just ignore these people first. Standing up straight, he calmly explained to the beauty, "My Practitioner is in class right now. Her class is somewhere nearby."
"Oh is that so?" The girl replied in a disinterested tone as she seemed to have sensed the Intermediate Level innate capabilities of Baiyi. It was purely out of curiosity that prompted her to speak to him when she saw the garish militia's plate armour. Well then, he must be the Soul Armature of some ordinary student around here and I suppose the student's strength would be pretty average. But wait a minute, the range of the Soul Armature's movement would be pretty small in this case, wouldn't it? He should not have been able to come all the way to this lakeside that is quite a distance away from all the classes.
However, the moment she sensed that Baiyi was nothing more than an Intermediate Level, she finally found her answer. A combination where both partners had more or less the same innate capabilities would be able to maintain a distance like this. Though she wondered why a Soul Armature could be as weak as this person, she decided not to ask Baiyi about it out of courtesy. Smiling, she nodded her head towards Baiyi apologetically, "I'm sorry to have disturbed you."
She then walked away with her slender long legs as she quickly vanished from Baiyi's sight.
After making sure that she had left, Baiyi immediately dispersed the ball of black flame that he was hiding in his palm as he let out a sigh of relief, "It's good that I kept a low-profile."
"You should at least ask for her name. She does have nice features and she really does look like my good friend you know..." The Illusionist sighed in regret.
What features are you talking about? Please stop trying to create noble-sounding excuses to cover up your perverted intentions! Also, this excuse is too old-fashioned! Your good friend must have been at least 5000 years old now okay?
"Sir Hope, you should pay close attention to Mia's body growth while you are monitoring her strength progress. You MUST make sure that Mia grows up to become somebody who is as gorgeous as that beauty just now!" said the Paladin, oh wait a minute, it’s the 'Hentai' now.
Oh gosh! What the hell do you all want actually? Do you really think that we are playing some sort of Beauty Grooming simulation game now?
