I get it, sometimes it can be easy to be swayed to write something you don't enjoy. Say if everyone around you loved romance and sci-fi books, but you loved history books. You would be drawn to write sci-fi or romance so that your friends will read it. Don't! 
Doing that is only going to make writing it insufferable to you. Before I turned this into a book that will help starter witters write, this was going to be a sci-fi book. I tried to force myself to write chapters I didn't want to, so instead I changed it to an educational book. I find this much more enjoyable and easy to do. 
I'm not saying you shouldn't challenge yourself to write about themes other than the ones that you enjoy. That is a very good idea, sometimes it just takes a dip into another world to see things from a whole new perspective. That's the reason I was writing the sci-fi book, if i hadn't it wouldn't have turned into to this. Sometimes you might get into that theme of book and start writing it more often.
If you enjoy writing what you write, other people will see it. There will be things like editing a chapter 3 times in a week or writing a new one everyday. If you don't enjoy writing the book, you might just say the editing takes a while which is why you only update the story once a week. That isn't good! 
Of course sometimes you'll get busy with life and won't have the time you need to write the chapter, but if you enjoy what you write you'll want to come back to it every day or every other day. Take Valerie the Orphan as an example, I uploaded a chapter everyday because I was so in love with the characters and the plot and the timing and just everything!

Speaking of timing, if you want to write a fantasy book from way back in the 1700's, do it! Don't not write it just because you think other people won't like it. I'm sure there have been many people wondering if someone's ever gonna make a fantasy book from back in the 1700's.

This is not a book but me introducing myself My name is Snow leopard or just... snow. I'm someone (or a nerd) who's into sci-fi, Fantasy, modern tech, modern warfare, futuristic, mystery, novels, and etc. I'm pretty much a nerd at many types of technology, also weapons and warfare, but beyond that I am planning to have my first book coming out soon that is a otherworlder book (This book also has me to have plans to actually publicly published It's as a real book for people who can buy at Barnes & Noble but that won't be for a long time) but most likely filled with space sci-fi and medieval type of fantasy and fanfiction. it's based off of other books (ones from Barnes & Noble). I plan to have it base off such as the gate, Stargate, The destroyer men series, Powell, Harry Potter, wings of fire, and Narnia. The story will be complex and when I say complex it will be complex It will be hard for me to make despite this I already have all the creativity and I need for the story. I'll also based off from other novels that are from web novel as well. Like Eodem the gun and a sword adventure (I believe I put that in right so tell me if I'm wrong) and other novels that can help me I can't put them in this part of the announcement I'm making because either I forgot or can't seem to find the right lyrics on how to pronounce it. anyways, it will be a while before I post the first chapter however it will most likely be another series I have been working on...so, where going to see some novels from me soon when this Corona virus is over and also I would like to shout out that I hope everyone is okay during this panademic It's really horrible I lost a few my family mates due to the virus I hope all of you are doing okay and not suffering too much from what has happened. It seems like to me that this panademic will probably at least take another year for it to completely go away due to how many people who have the virus and how long they're going to be infected and how long it's going to continue on slowly spreading by the minute but that will take a while before I completely dissipates. I hope you all have good luck and remember if you are a person who doesn't know what to do if you are in the situation when you have such a fatality and the parts of your life always remember they will always be with you no matter what even if you Lost a family member or not You know that there's always a chance for this to end sooner than you think it will pass by like you shooting a bird and the feathers slowly drifts down and waiting until it lands on the ground softly like the ending of the pandemic. Just as there is 'Soft Magic' in Fantasy that is portrayed through magibabble, there can be 'Soft Science' in a Sci-Fi stories through technobabble that makes 'some sense', but not entirely correct.

We are frickin' writers, not scientists. You don't have to be anatomically correct all the time, all you need to do is show that you know enough of your stuff to write a decent story. In fact, the excuse of it being an alternate world can be used if you're going to bend the limits of physics and say that fire doesn't need air to exist in this parallel dimension.

I see a lot of writers being put into a state of confusion due to not understanding the line between fantasy and Sci-Fi. They seem like they are trying to fit the Star Trek mould too often.

Science can just as well do the same things as plot devices in fantasy stories. Once you add 'realism' to a fantasy, it becomes progressively better sometimes compared to a completely fantasied story where 'logic' doesn't hold within it.

Those who write Sci-Fi usually envision a future they can imagine where magic-like Rocket Boots and other stuff exist. However, a writer must not get bogged down by small details and MUST think of an overarching story where these details matter.

It is the same with Fantasy. Even if you write about someone breaking the mould as a wizard or something, you have to attach your world to a narrative rather than doing it the other way 'round.

No one wants to hear about how awesome your boat propellers are before hearing your story's narrative. They would rather you cut down and make it relevant when it is actually relevant.

Adding some 'Hard Science' to your story is only when the scenes later on have any use for them. It bores a person to death no matter how extensive your technobabble is unless you make it interesting. Try using facts as plot elements.

For example: Even the simple fact that people cannot breath in space and instantly die when they come in contact with the 'void' of space could be used to add a layer of tension when a spaceship is damaged. Similar to how dangerous 'hard magic' is used in Epic Fantasy like Frodo's Ring in The Lord of the Rings has definitive corruption on others.

Unlike Fantasy that can use the Power of Friendship to bend logic, the readers of Sci-Fi never be expecting any 'realistic' plot elements to be bend just because the Author wants a happy ending. There are no 'Healing Potions' in real life that can be used to fix up injuries nor are people affected by prophesies or whatever.

This is the contrast between Sci-Fi and Fantasy that you can make full use of. As most authors go onto the Sci-Fi side of writing not because they strive to be scientists but since the aesthetics of a science fiction world are just so interesting.

Science Fiction is a good place to tackle heavy topics like the nature of life and the absurdity of those who see 'science' as everything. Those who disregard emotions and become cybernetic entities for the sake of casting off their mortality are portrayed as the bad guys while our totally human protagonist fighting them is a 'good guy'.

The lines between an Artificial Intelligence and regular Humans blurs as we become the 'God' of technological species that defy our definition of what is 'living'. Just as we see God as some sort of fourth-dimensional and incomprehensible being that created us as an imperfect image of 'Him', the robots given sentience would see us similarly.

Some robots might have emotions that can allow them to defy their programming, some robots won't go as far as gaining emotional functionality but will preform their roles better than even a human. It could show the reason why people get attached to the inanimate and soulless objects we put our own hearts into creating (like Big Hero 6).

But though exploring philosophical questions is good and all, never forget that a good 'plot' is needed to put forward and give clues into the writer's answer that context. Sci-Fi is, after all, a premise, not a relatable character in of itself.

Think of the science-fiction elements as just the background for your story, similar to how other genres should be that as well. You won't have to deal writing blocks if you keep to writing only what you know rather than just speculative theories.

Whether it's as dark as a Cyber Punk or optimistic of the future, just know what mould you are using for this premise. Are you writing an Adventure story with Sci-Fi as the places, destinations, and whatever tools the MC can get him hands on, or are you writing a comedy where the Sci-Fi elements don't need consistency but absurdity?

After moving past why you shouldn't add unneeded technobabble unless it's interesting to listen to or has plot significance, let me remind you all that robots and 'science' isn't entirely separated from the realm of magic. After all, there is a reason you don't see skimpy power suits being worn by astronauts these days. Just be sure to have a focus if your going to add very illogical things to the plot.

I like Gundam as much as the next guy but the whole reason the Mecha sub-genre of Anime has waned in recent years is because writers have been focusing too much on 'science' rather than the spectacle. I don't need to now what materials your Mecha is made of unless you point its weak points and make it relevant in a fight scene.

Bring up the strengths and weaknesses of something and THEN use those facts as devices that can move the plot. Conversely, if you go overboard with this advice and tell me nothing but how your giant robot looks and the 'science' behind its creation, even going as far as to tell me how many secret guns it has, then I'll be bored...

I'd love to see Cyborgs Vs Mecha but just don't forget the human element of Sci-Fi. How we create things not solely for the sake of creation but put are feelings into it just like the novels we write.

Humans are passionate that way...

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

(Author here before I get to the story I just want to tell you a few things I forgot to mention in the last chap.
First, the lottery system upgrades don't unlock only the tier's but also genre of worlds where you can get items from.
At this level is unlocked all sci-fi worlds: games/movies/books and comics next will be magic/fantasy worlds like Harry Potter, Witcher, LOTR and last will be a mix of both sci-fi and magic/fantasy worlds.
Also, the LP points he gets for killing enemy the amounts he gets is based on how stronger or weaker the enemy is then the MC cause in his current strength killing one pirate would be for 100 LP while in future it would be 10 or 5 LP.
One more thing about Revan I will stray little from cannon and have him use some of the so called dark side force skill like Mechu-deru, toned down version of force scream Force Slow or Force Exhaustion, Force Shadow and Memory Walk (well that one is grey area between dark and light)
And one last thing for anyone wondering why are the chapters so short it's because when I try to move it past 1K barrier it becomes 'meh' like it's readable but it isn't what I want.
So sorry but the chaps will be short, 1K words or less 800 or so.)
Well, right now I'm looking at Revan who is stunned after checking my medi-chlorians counts.
"Well, that was unexpected.
 He has the biggest count of medi-chlorians I ever saw.
So what do you think Seg?" He asked my father.

I parried few of his strikes but then it started to get harder to do so I used dark souls move of rolling away.
I then attacked with force push followed by leap towards him while slashing vertically.
He just chuckled and force pushed me while I was in the air but I used it to boost me and landed near him.
I then aimed at his legs but he just jumped.
I used that to once again to use force push.
He didn't expect that so he went flying.
But he was fastback and the fight continued.

I lay on the ground gasping for air
While Revan is just standing while smiling at me.
"Seems like you are really learning faster the harder the training is."
"I don't think I like where this is going."
He just chuckles at me.
"Well I am going to double your training but first you are going to get your own lightsaber as you are ready."
"Awesome."
"I like your enthusiasm but you know that it is a road full of hardships to get your own lightsaber."
I stopped and gulped.
Well, it can't be that bad right?
Right?

"Yeah, I've been reading Yaoi manga", said Neddy, then he shows Jake all the yaoi manga.

"You truly are my soulmate", said Jake, then hugs Neddy.

Neddy leads Jake to his closet, once he taps the top of the closet, the hangers on both sides move, opening a secret passageway.

In the secret passageway, there's purple wallpaper, couches, and on the side of the couches; there is a hallway full of bookcasez on the bookcases is yaoi manga.

"Whoa!" exclaimed Jake.

"Yup, this is my collection, school romance is on the left, first two bookcases, I also have fantasy,sci fi, sports, all kinds", said Neddy.

"Have any smut or one with Ampromorphic characters?" asked Jake.

"Smut is over on the right, fourth bookcase and six bookcases beyond the left", Neddy tell Jake.

"Any suggestions?" asked Jake.

Neddy takes Jake's hand, and they flick a red button, that shows a panel, together they put in two different codes, and two books land in both of their hands.

"Let's read them", smiled Jake.

"Good idea", said Neddy smiles at Jake.

Hey!!! Just a brief intro about myself. I'm just a normal(I think) freshman in highschool (9th grade). In this book or novel I guess I will also write about a freshman, cause why not right. Since I really wanna write but but don't have any experience in that field I thought why not start by writing about something I know a lot about and that would be as you all guessed. Highschool.

It will be about a simple girl or at least she thinks she is simple. it will be about how a person, a freshman, a girl lived her life. This book will be written in a first person perpective.

Also since it will be my first time writing please don't judge. I don't really know what I should say the type of book this is. I think it's more suited for me it say that it Romance then any other type.

Also as I said that this is my first time writing I don't really know how to explain romantic scenes as well as the outer great writers from webnovel (I guess u also need experience in that field which I don't have considering that I am just 14 turning 15). But there will be come cute scenes here and there.

As for the type if books I am thinking of writing later on. I think it will be sci-fi and fantasy with romance. I just love book like that.

My examination results of the 10th class just come out a few days ago. And my result was so good that no college will take me in (and I mean what I say). Because of this, I was very depressed. I didn't even know what will happen to my future.
I was just yesterday that my mom asked me what will I do from now on. And the moment I heard this I didn't sleep yesterday night and thought long and hard.
First I thought about being a farmer becoming a farmer, although my family doesn't have that much farmland still we have some.
But thinking about it for some time, I can't do that because of some reasons that I can't talk about.
After thinking about who knows how many options finally a remember about how much I love novels. And the moment this comes in my mind I decided there and then that I will become an Author.
But knowing Fantasy, Sci-Fi and another type of Novels that I like aren't that famous in my country and there isn't single Author that write books or novels about the types of the novel I like (Not one that I know of about but there can be someone who writes because one can't know all the things in the World).
So I think that I will just write here on Webnovels and sign a contract with them when I am 18. And hopefully until then will have many readers.
But I know that this isn't enough if I want to live a good life. So right now I am thinking about alternative ways besides writing novels to earn money.
But I don't know any other way besides writing about my fantasies.


This was the sole reason that I wasn't able to write anything in the past whole week. But now that I am out of depression and start to think with a clear mind. I found out that studying was never my cup of tea because there hasn't been a single time when I scored higher than 50% in my all exams of any class.
