In this novel I will  compile various short stories which will not exceed 15 chapters.  The stories could be anything from a romantic encounter or a comedyor a sci fi . So please give it a try.

What lies were they embracing? This was the lie that a very large number of people in Merica chose to believe without even thinking: The lie that all the advanced technologies of Z country were stolen from Merica. This lie had been repeated for a thousand times, 10,000 times, by the politicians of Merica and their media. This lie appeared in every corner of the country. Not only did the majority of Merican citizens believe this lie, but even the creators of such lies believed them on a subconscious level. Hence, they then subconsciously continued to spread such lies.
"But what they don't know is that lies are always lies! Even if it is repeated a thousand times, 10,000 times, it is still a lie! It cannot become a so-called 'truth.' It is very easy to expose this kind of lie. We'll simply let the people of Merica experience the products of Xing Hai Technologies. The people of Merica will discover that Xing Hai Technologies' products have powerful functions, that they are irreplaceable and bring about endless convenience. But there is no Merican company that has launched similar products. When scientists in Merica find out that their country has missed out on a golden opportunity and are starting to fall behind because of the arrogance and stupidity of the politicians, I believe that they will then voice their rationality and clarity, criticizing the lies that are poisoning the future of Merica. This will allow the M country to wake up from their dream of ridiculous self-importance. Actually, this kind of mentality from Merica country is very normal. Our country experienced it too. At that time, our rulers thought that Z country was a 'celestial empire lacking for nothing.' They regarded science and technology as 'strange and dirty tricks.' They closed themselves off from the world and lived in their own happy little bubble. They chose to isolate the country. In the end, they quickly became a joke when they were faced with the colonists' unyielding ship and powerful cannons. The impact quickly caused them to go into a state of extreme inferiority. For the next 200 years, this led to the subservient spirit of Z people, which still persists in some today. It's hard to stand up tall again. This is the consequence of indulging in lies! Now Merica has also sunk into a self-numbing state. Well, we'll congratulate them; they should stay in this state of arrogance for a while more! The longer they remain arrogant, the longer they will be stuck in an inferior state in the future, maybe even double the time! Seeing the huge gap between us, I think that even some Mericans couldn't help but feel inferior and subservient. As for those who are still repeating lies like good little robots, they will get the retribution that they deserve. They will be completely crammed into the trash can like a pile of ugly garbage. The more arrogant they are now, the worse they will fall. They will only feel a greater sense of frustration and disappointment."
Therefore, their lies could not hurt Xing Hai Technologies. Ultimately they would only be hurting their own interests and self-esteem. Chen Jin would not be afraid of such accusations and attacks. "Old Ling, if this is the case, then make a declaration: If Merica does not revoke the sanctions against Xing Hai Technologies, we cannot commence a working partnership with Merica. Unless the sanctions are revoked! Only then is it possible for the two sides to collaborate." To be honest, the country that currently had the highest level of scientific research and the best quality of scientists on earth should still be Merica. The majority of the world's top scientific research talents were working in Merica.
Chen Jin was rather covetous of these talents. As a result, due to the opposition by the Congress of Merica, his plan to absorb top talents could be described as a "partial failure." But Chen Jin was not in a hurry! "100% Science Lab" was a game that was accelerating the development of the earth's technology at a speed ten times faster as compared to previous years. If the Merican congress delayed for a day, other countries would have made 10 days worth of progress. If the Merican congress delayed for a year, other countries would have made 10 years worth of progress. If they insisted on being so stubborn; let's see who gives in first!
Moreover, the level of science and technology on Haierfa was more than 200 years ahead. The scientists on earth were still in the "remedial" stage. Currently, there was not much use for them. So it was not urgent. Chen Jin was not in a hurry at all. In fact, he was eager for the Merican Congress to waste two more years until they felt that something was wrong.
"Hmm, I understand, President Chen." Ling Jundong nodded.

In Mid-February, shortly after the release of the foreign edition of "100% Science Lab," Xing Hai Technologies made another major move. They announced their entry into the entertainment sector. With a capital injection of 3 billion, they established a subsidiary company called "Xing Hai Entertainment."
The entertainment businesses that this subsidiary company planned to get into included novels, advertisements, movies, animation, music, and so on. For the novel category, he intended to create a "Xing Hai Sci-fi Novel Platform." Its main feature was to collect a variety of science fiction, preferably hard-core science fiction! Long, medium, or short-form works, all would be accepted. As long as one's sci-fi novel was exciting, one would be able to submit his stories to "Xing Hai Sci-fi Novel Platform."
Xing Hai Entertainment's film, animation, and music departments would be mainly serving the Xing Hai sci-fi novels. All the sci-fi works that became popular on the platform and had great potential would have the chance to be made into a film or animation! It could be adapted into a movie, web drama, animation, etc. The creator of the story would gain huge amounts of attention and a lot of money. This was undoubtedly a great temptation for the majority of authors; it would attract them to join "Xing Hai Sci-fi Novel Platform" and publish their own works. They would also work hard to create excellent science fiction works and strive for their works to be made into movies and animations. They would then achieve both fame and fortune. After all, with the technological prowess of Xing Hai Technologies, it was impossible for their stories to be made into bad films and thus destroying it in the process. Only classic after classic would be created.
Out of the trust for Xing Hai Technologies, he believed that many talented sci-fi authors would be willing to join this platform under "Xing Hai Entertainment." The sci-fi literary culture of Z country would be cultivated thusly. The number of sci-fi enthusiasts would increase; the number of people who were inclined towards the sciences and delve into science would increase. These factors would eventually turn Z country into a sci-fi power. Chen Jin could also benefit from it. One aspect of it was economic; on the other hand, the process could also collect a lot of talents, and open up new ways of thinking for Nuwa and Alice... Sometimes the advancement of technology required a major shift in thinking, and some really good talents could even represent a glimmer of hope in their darkest hour.
As for the advertising department of Xing Hai Entertainment, this department had already been created long ago. They made hundreds of advertisements promoting Xing Hai Technologies' products. Some of the advertisements had content that was funny, some were extremely interesting. Some had magnificent scenes and beautifully detailed graphics. Nearly all were classics.
"The second outstanding film and television company after Hua Yao Film and Television." This was the evaluation given by the majority of netizens for Xing Hai Technologies' advertisements. Now Chen Jin transferred the company's advertising department into "Xing Hai Entertainment," which was to allow the advertising department to continue to represent Xing Hai Technologies' unacknowledged side business and produce more good advertisements.
After Chen Jin got his staff to release the news that "Xing Hai Entertainment Company" was about to be established, suddenly a huge commotion was created in the entertainment circle. Netizens exclaimed in surprise and clapped their hands.

Through a mysterious portal, Chen Jin arrived at this strange place - a post-apocalyptic world where civilization had been destroyed.

In short, Chen Jin found a planet.

Just as there is 'Soft Magic' in Fantasy that is portrayed through magibabble, there can be 'Soft Science' in a Sci-Fi stories through technobabble that makes 'some sense', but not entirely correct.

We are frickin' writers, not scientists. You don't have to be anatomically correct all the time, all you need to do is show that you know enough of your stuff to write a decent story. In fact, the excuse of it being an alternate world can be used if you're going to bend the limits of physics and say that fire doesn't need air to exist in this parallel dimension.

I see a lot of writers being put into a state of confusion due to not understanding the line between fantasy and Sci-Fi. They seem like they are trying to fit the Star Trek mould too often.

Science can just as well do the same things as plot devices in fantasy stories. Once you add 'realism' to a fantasy, it becomes progressively better sometimes compared to a completely fantasied story where 'logic' doesn't hold within it.

Those who write Sci-Fi usually envision a future they can imagine where magic-like Rocket Boots and other stuff exist. However, a writer must not get bogged down by small details and MUST think of an overarching story where these details matter.

It is the same with Fantasy. Even if you write about someone breaking the mould as a wizard or something, you have to attach your world to a narrative rather than doing it the other way 'round.

No one wants to hear about how awesome your boat propellers are before hearing your story's narrative. They would rather you cut down and make it relevant when it is actually relevant.

Adding some 'Hard Science' to your story is only when the scenes later on have any use for them. It bores a person to death no matter how extensive your technobabble is unless you make it interesting. Try using facts as plot elements.

For example: Even the simple fact that people cannot breath in space and instantly die when they come in contact with the 'void' of space could be used to add a layer of tension when a spaceship is damaged. Similar to how dangerous 'hard magic' is used in Epic Fantasy like Frodo's Ring in The Lord of the Rings has definitive corruption on others.

Unlike Fantasy that can use the Power of Friendship to bend logic, the readers of Sci-Fi never be expecting any 'realistic' plot elements to be bend just because the Author wants a happy ending. There are no 'Healing Potions' in real life that can be used to fix up injuries nor are people affected by prophesies or whatever.

This is the contrast between Sci-Fi and Fantasy that you can make full use of. As most authors go onto the Sci-Fi side of writing not because they strive to be scientists but since the aesthetics of a science fiction world are just so interesting.

Science Fiction is a good place to tackle heavy topics like the nature of life and the absurdity of those who see 'science' as everything. Those who disregard emotions and become cybernetic entities for the sake of casting off their mortality are portrayed as the bad guys while our totally human protagonist fighting them is a 'good guy'.

The lines between an Artificial Intelligence and regular Humans blurs as we become the 'God' of technological species that defy our definition of what is 'living'. Just as we see God as some sort of fourth-dimensional and incomprehensible being that created us as an imperfect image of 'Him', the robots given sentience would see us similarly.

Some robots might have emotions that can allow them to defy their programming, some robots won't go as far as gaining emotional functionality but will preform their roles better than even a human. It could show the reason why people get attached to the inanimate and soulless objects we put our own hearts into creating (like Big Hero 6).

But though exploring philosophical questions is good and all, never forget that a good 'plot' is needed to put forward and give clues into the writer's answer that context. Sci-Fi is, after all, a premise, not a relatable character in of itself.

Think of the science-fiction elements as just the background for your story, similar to how other genres should be that as well. You won't have to deal writing blocks if you keep to writing only what you know rather than just speculative theories.

Whether it's as dark as a Cyber Punk or optimistic of the future, just know what mould you are using for this premise. Are you writing an Adventure story with Sci-Fi as the places, destinations, and whatever tools the MC can get him hands on, or are you writing a comedy where the Sci-Fi elements don't need consistency but absurdity?

After moving past why you shouldn't add unneeded technobabble unless it's interesting to listen to or has plot significance, let me remind you all that robots and 'science' isn't entirely separated from the realm of magic. After all, there is a reason you don't see skimpy power suits being worn by astronauts these days. Just be sure to have a focus if your going to add very illogical things to the plot.

I like Gundam as much as the next guy but the whole reason the Mecha sub-genre of Anime has waned in recent years is because writers have been focusing too much on 'science' rather than the spectacle. I don't need to now what materials your Mecha is made of unless you point its weak points and make it relevant in a fight scene.

Bring up the strengths and weaknesses of something and THEN use those facts as devices that can move the plot. Conversely, if you go overboard with this advice and tell me nothing but how your giant robot looks and the 'science' behind its creation, even going as far as to tell me how many secret guns it has, then I'll be bored...

I'd love to see Cyborgs Vs Mecha but just don't forget the human element of Sci-Fi. How we create things not solely for the sake of creation but put are feelings into it just like the novels we write.

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

I've been organizing it for some time now (years actually) so it should be nice to read it. This piece of artwork will be my second, so if you wanna learn about the universe this story lines are happening in, go my first novel and read it. It can be called an intro.
Stories are self explanatory. But if you need more info ask in the comments, I'll see it probably. 
Many of them are not interconnected, except the fact that they're about the people that are sharing a world.
Stories are not restricted to a definite number of chapters. So a story might be extremely short or ten chapters long depending on the happenings it is about.
Chapters will be divided into volumes according to the age the story-line is happening in. It will become sci-fi in the future, but the beginning is ancient. Everything should be organized. 
IF you find some confusing parts do not be afraid to comment or leave a review. I do not bite, much.

I marked it as a novel for general audiences because there will not be any explicit scenes, except the ones of carnage and destruction. If the scene is too disturbing to you jump over it. 

Remember chapters are not important to this book, but the stories.

hello readers i am mynner and i am new to writing and i am trying to make a novel in which the readers decides what the characters do like d n' d i will do polls but also i will read the comments in which i will respond to each one of them if i don't then I'm busy at that time so yeah i will do stories it might short or long like 300+ chapters or 100.

i am not good at grammatical things like where should i put points i am trying to do my dream job and entertain people with stories that they will enjoy and I know that some people will think like ' we already know what the character does because you chose our comments' but it will not be like that i will do it randomly like make an app in which it will choose random answers i will then put more details and try not to put plot holes and if you think that one of the sentences are not right right a comment on that line or paragraph about how it should be.

i am currently thinking about whether i should get keep drafts as back ups for later on when i will be done with the first story in systems also interesting fact is that the novel name systems is really a joke on how people these like to have a genre called system even though you can easily pick out a system novel in the sci-fi section but nobody does it they just search it up . any way back to the topic i will make a prologue soon after i brainstorm on the background of the 1st story, tittle, character design, a cool looking drawing as cover(so people will check the novel out.)

It was a fine day!
The air was warm, and the sky was blue.
It was the perfect beach weather, as it signified summer's vibrant splendour.
Today, Baymard seemed to be in a complete uproar.
The streets had been filled with people running up and down in a frenzy.... as they tried to get to the nearest stores.
O.M.G... It was launching today!

The people quickly stormed the stores, as they were hurrying to get these goods before they finally sold out.
Indeed, this wild crowd had a mind of its own.
Like swarming bees..... the people hustled and bustled, as they bumped into each other here and there.
Some accidently stepped on others toes, while others had been lined outside stores for several minutes now.
And what did they want to get?
What was so damn important for them to run around like mad people?
One word.... 'Radios'.
.
Well... radio communicative devices already existed in Baymard.
But they were only used by the Baymard's security forces.
Hence civilians didn't have access to them.
Radio frequency gadgets like Walkie-Talkies were already used by the army, police, security guards, and so on.
As well as Radio communications within official cars like police cars.
Bottom line, only protective forces used them.
But today, Baymard was officially launching its first Radio which would have channels and stations on them.

Now... ever since Landon had come back from that mission in June, he had been training some of the slaves to be on-air radio personals.
They had been training for 2 months now, and Landon felt like they were now truly ready.
One shouldn't forget that the Radio station and towers had already been constructed way back.
In fact, Landon would've launched these radios in spring.
But with the mission at hand, he chose to launch it today.
.
As for the radio stations, for now.... there would only be 5 stations, which offered numerous talks on them.
And since Baymard had the same first letter as 'Britain'.... then instead of British Broadcasting Corporation, Landon had switched it to Baymardian Broadcasting Corporation.
In short, it was still the 'BBC'.
Did he steal it from earth?... Yup!!
Was he sorry about doing so?..... Nope!!
It was too iconic, and quite frankly... very easy going on the eyes, or should he say tongue.

As for these stations, their names were like so.
1) BBC Radio 1 (88-91 FM): 
▪Local News
▪International News (provided by Landon or spies)
* Of course that also includes war, policies, territories that signed treaties with Baymard, rules and so on.
2) BBC Radio 2 (90-93 FM):
▪Sports
▪Adult-oriented topics, with podcasts on love, Valentine's day, happiness and so on.
3) BBC Radio 3 (91-99 FM):
▪Everything Beauty, from how to take care of skin, teeth and so on... (of course, this station would definitely become popular with the ladies.)
▪Medical Health & Safety, and podcasts from some doctors that educate people on what they're doing wrong and so on. 
▪Food related recipes

4) BBC Radio 4 (92-95 FM):
▪Businesses, like Job opportunities, important concerts available, news on when public attractions like the Zoo get competed... and so on.
*important newspaper info would also be added to these segments.
5) BBC Station 5 (97-99 FM):
▪Historical, Drama, Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Comedic Children's story times.
*here, children could listen to new stories anytime of the day.
Anyway, these were Baymard's current stations.

And within each individual station, certain time frames would be dedicated for each segment.
Take for example BBC Radio 5, which had 5 children's genres in total.
From:
•Comedic stories~ from  9 - 9:45 A.M
•Dramatical stories~ 10 - 10:45 A.M
•Historical stories~ 11-11:45 A.M
•Sci-Fi or Sciencey ~ 1-1:45 P.M
•Fantasy stories~ 2 - 2:45 P.M

And since these stations would close by 9 P.M, then the exact stories would be repeated on that same order from 3 to 8:45 P.M.
One should know that Baymard didn't have any recording or playback devices right now.
Hence they had no choice but to repeat again the same things again and again.
In doing so, those children who missed it due to school and so on... could listen to them again later in the day.
The same went for the workers who would miss news, sports and so on.
In short, these Radio Stations had to cater for everyone's needs.

Within the busy stores..... the people squeezed and pushed their way in, as if they were in some sort of fight club.
And in a blink of an eye, these Radios had almost sold out.
Right now, in one of the stores.... only 4 Radios remained.

'Dun! Dun! Dun!'
All the customers who had just managed to get in.... quickly made their way towards the shelves.
As soon as they neared the shelves, their eyes immediately turned into predator mode.
The scene immediately turned into a battlefield for them.
.
One of the customers ran as fast as he could, but when he was closing in on  the shelf... someone literally dived on top of him, pushed him down, and rolled away.

He looked up and realised that it was a woman.
She was definitely cheating!
She looked back at him, and smirked....as if saying: Who told you not to use these moves?
Unfortunately for her, in that split second when she looked back.... someone else ran with a cart, and literally hit her from her side with it, accidentally allowing her to fall into the cart.

From there, the man pushed the cart towards the crowd behind him... as if trying to buy himself more time.
The woman glared at him hatefully.
'Can't you see that I'm a woman?"
'Woman Shwomam.... this is equality!!'

Very different from the chaotic scenes within the stores.... those who had just gotten their own Radios, where excitedly listening to the news in amazement.
Santa and his gang were amongst them as well.
One had to know that they had gone undercover in disguise just to get their own as well.
And just from this experience, they had soon realized that they weren't above battling for them as well.
Damn! 
They had done all sorts of crazy stunts, just to get their Radios as well.
Was it crawling on the floors?.... they had done that!
Jumping over people?... Uhhhhh do you still need to ask?
.
At first they wanted to be civilized... but when they saw how crazy the crowd was, they quickly threw those idiotic thoughts out of the way.
F*** it!!
It was now or never!
They entered the jungle, and managed to come out victorious... with little claw marks here and there of course.
.
After reading the instructions that came with the Radio..... Carmelo plugged in the radio, and quickly pressed the tiny red dot on the device.
"Wait!.... turn it to FM 88-91.... I think that's the BBC Station 1!" Adrian said excitedly.
Carmelo turned the large extended disc on the device.... until he got to the first station.
And very quickly, they could hear someone's voice coming from the device.

"In other local news, Baymard's first Car show would take place 5 days from now.
We have all been taking our driving exams since last year.... and now, everyone would get the chance to own their own cars.
As for what this car show is?
Well...  you'll just have to see won't you.
I'm Karen Wimblow... and this is the BBC Radio station 1.
Well take a short 15 minutes break now... and when we resume, we'll talk about the latest political development in Arcadina... as well as that from the empire of Terique.
So stay tuned with us, because later on... we will be looking at International news."

As they listened on, everyone's eyes almost dropped out of their sockets.
"This is amazing!"
"Just how does that brat keep doing it?"
"Mummy, mummy, is there a person inside this tiny metal Radio?"
"I... I don't know....."

After a while, they switched to other stations, and were thoroughly drawn in... by what they were hearing.
The women wanted to know how to prevent wrinkles.... but the men wanted to either switch back to sports, business or news.
As for the children, they had gotten a glimpse of these stories... and had wanted to keep the channel there.
Looking at the radio, they couldn't help but feel like crying.
They had fought their way in, and had only managed to get one radio.
Now everyone was fighting for it.
The only question they had rightnow, was when the next set of radios would be placed back in stores.

"Are you looking to die?... Keep it at station 3!"
"Let me die.... . we'll leave it at station 2!!"
"Pui!... what do you all know?.... it'll stay at station 1, didn't you hear that international news would soon start?"
"And so what?... I want to know about my beauty regimen."
"Station 5..."
"Station 4..."

And just like that, Radio madness had quickly swept over the entire Baymard like a storm.
Ah!... technology.

Matagal ko na rin binabalak na tapusin 'to sa totoo lang. Marami lang talagang gawain and school works kaya once-a-week lang ako nakakapag-update (sorry po)

And ngayon na matagumpay ko ng natapos ang pagkahaba-habang buhok—este story ni Ray. Yes, si Raychel po ang MC ng story na ito together with Aircon (uwu), Nile Glenn at Nash Klein. Pero hindi pa po dyan natatapos ang problema natin—este problema nila.

Yes, mayroon pong 2nd season or 2nd book ang problema ni Raychel. Papasakitin ko pa lalo ang ulo nila kasama na ng ulo niyo sa kakaisip. 
Of course, nandito pa rin ang ating mga bida kasama na ng iba pa.

Asahan na magkakaroon na ng screentime ang ating mga Reapers dahil kasama sila sa focus ng ating story ngayong 2nd season. Other than that, maghanda ng maraming tissue sa mga mamamaalam.

Q: Saan niyo po nakuha ang idea na simulan ang WYBATS?

A: Well, as a big fan of anime for like 10 years until now and forever. Noong matapos ko basahin ang manga ng Ao haru ride also known as Blue spring ride. Nagkaroon ako ng ideya na magsulat ng fanfic tungkol 'don but I remember a one-shot anime x reader na naging favorite ko. So medyo pinaghalo ko ang dalawa hanggang sa poof! pinanganak ang WYBATS. Of course, mas malaki ang ambag ng sariling idea ko na mabuo ito maliban sa mga nakuha ko sa dalawa. 

Q: Saan niyo po nakuha ang ideya ng kambal?

A: Bigla ko lang naisip. Dapat kasi talaga isang childhood friend and isang transfer student ang takbo nito. But na-realize ko na ang cliché na 'non masyado and parang lagi nalang ganon ang tema ng mga love triangle stories kaya naman pinalitan ko. (At isa pa, laging natatalo ang mga childhood friend kaya ayoko na xDD) 

Q: Ano na pong ganap ng fiancee ni Nash?

A: Abangan sa 2nd season.

Q: Sino po ang BEST SHIP niyo?

A: Yung kambal hehe.. Yaoi is laifu ❤ 

Q: Kailan niyo po sinimulan ang pagsusulat sa WYBATS?

A: I remember around November last year. Noong hirap pa ako sa pag-iisip kung anong maganda at fit na pangalan para sa mga characters na gagawin ko xD

Q: Sino po ang fav character niyo and bakit?

A: Probably Lloyd because ginawa ko siya after ng isang husbando ko na si Lloyd Asplund from Code Geass. The earl of Pudding ❤ 
And kung mapapansin niyo naman kung kilala niyo ang husbando ko, the two are so much alike from head to toe. Gaya nga ng description ni Ray sa kaniya.

Okay enough na. Sabay-sabay nalang natin abangan ang 2nd season ng WYBATS. ❤

Paalala ko lang na hindi ko siya agad na maipa-publish dahil marami akong pinagkakaabalahan ngayon lalo na't kulong ako sa bahay at bawal lumabas. Rip sa mga gala xD mabuti na lang taong bahay ako lmao.
So sigurado po na hindi ko siya agad na mailalabas.

It was just an ordinary afternoon after school.

Janet's brain was full of the metrics of the spaceships in 3020. She designed some amazing technologies for the future world in her novel. She loved sci-fi stories, under the influence from her father. And she didn't tell anyone that she wanted to be a sci-fi writer.

She had been writing the story for 3 years. Every day and night, she was writing and editing it on the notebooks. Now she had 10 notebooks.

So naturally, after the badminton class, she forgot her racket in the gymnasium.

She returned to the gym and got the racket. When she was going to leave, someone's sobbing from the back of the gym attracted her attention.

She knew there was a group of bad boys bullying students they disliked. They called it "the Judgement".

Their leader was called "the Judge". He was the rule-maker in this school.

There were no so-called "standards" of "the Judgement". It was purely bullying. They made fun of the students by violence and abuse. They selected the victims randomly. Bad performance at ball games, falling in love with a popular girl, even just being too pale or having a weird haircut could be the reason for their bullying.

She was a coward. She never dared to stop them when they surrounded the victims and said hurtful things. She never dared to walk the same way with them. She never even dared to look at them directly.

Therefore when she was looking for the source of sobbing, she was also carefully making sure that the bullies were not around.

It was Levi, the boy they called "sissy puff". He crouched his body on the ground. Janet saw the scar on the top of his head, blood oozing from the burnt skin. It should be made by a cigarette.

It hurt just looking at the scar. Janet couldn't believe someone did this horrible thing to him.

She walked slowly to Levi. She wanted to touch his scar but finally determined not to do so. He was shivering. Then she saw the metal bucket behind him. Something was still burning inside. Ashes floated, mixing themselves with Levi's tears on his face.

All of a sudden, Janet felt like being caught by the throat. She instinctively put her hand in the bucket. There were pieces of papers, more specifically, from a notebook. There wrote some city sceneries in the future world.

Electricity stroke her spine. Her eyes became warm and teary. She felt cold, but her back was sweating.

Pieces by pieces did she take out from the weakening flame. Most of them were burned black. But she was too familiar with the papers, the handwriting, every single word she had written down in these three years with excitement.

"Who did this? Who did this to you Levi? Who did this... to me?"

"Matt...Matt Turing." Levi said with trembling lips. That was the name of the Devil King, the Judge.

Janet exhaled deeply to dump the bad feelings haunting her the whole day.

It was the day that she went to the bookstore to help her father. He retired from the police office early for the injuries, then opened a bookstore downtown when she was 10. She had been reluctant to show up there in her puberty. But as her growing up, she found it might be the most comforting place in the world.

On the way to the bookstore, Janet felt someone was following her. But nobody was there when she looked back. It was a busy street as usual. Weird...

Unsurprisingly, there was her father Jack alone in the bookstore. He laid behind the register and was reading a book – sci-fi stuff, of course.

Jack was bad at operating a bookstore. He only sold books from his own choice, most of which were unpopular sci-fi stories. He was always reading, or just staring at the passers-by outside and doing profiling of them.

It was his pension and God's mercy to prevent the family from starving to death. Janet always thought.

"Hi, long time no see."

Jack waved at her...back. When she was confused why Jack greeted to her, the voice came up from behind. "Hi. It had been years Jack. Do you have the new release of PJ David?"

"Who are you asking man? Look at this. He even sent me a copy with his signature on the cover. You can Envy me now." He shook the book in his hand to show off his friendship with the bestseller author.

Dad and Matt were talking about... a sci-fi author? Wait why do they know each other?

Jack introduced Matt to his utterly confused daughter:" Janet, Matt; Matt, Janet. "

...You call this "introduction"?

"Jack forced me to read PJ David." Matt smiled.

"Recommend. Mind your language. You love him so basically I HELPED you to know a good author."

"By the way Jack, I'll stay here for a longer time. I became a teacher in this town."

"Teacher? You don't coincidentally teach at my daughter's school, do you? Don't you go to New York?"

"Yes, I do, coincidentally. My mom is very sick. I can't leave her alone, so I came back."

"She was too tired. She is a great mother." Jack nodded, "You made the right decision."

Janet couldn't believe her eyes. The man in front of her looked so innocent and easy to get along with. He was attractive with his hazel eyes, soft smile and casual suit. From Jack's words, Matt was even a filial son.

But who is this guy?

Is he the Matt Turing she knows from high school? Or did she have the fake memory of the coldest eyes on the planet?

Jack realized the unnatural air around the two youngsters:" Ah and Janet, how was your high school? Did you two get along well?" He winked at Janet.

Jack's question was nearly ironic to his daughter. He didn't know Matt was the reason for her depression and transferring to another school 8 years ago.

"We didn't talk at all. He was not a good student in school." She replied coldly.

"You mean like drinking and smoking piece of sh*t?"

How could she explain to his father? Matt looked as if he was the nicest guy and she was the villain.

Astonished, Janet speechlessly walked out of the bookstore. She didn't want to see Matt. Why did he appear in front of her over and over again?

Matt followed her.

"Janet... want to talk?"

His voice stopped her. She felt uncomfortable when he was approaching her step by step.

"No, don't..."

"There must be some misunderstandings between us..."

He was just a step away from her. Why did he come so near? She felt disgusted.

She had no friends in high school. She was insignificant. All she had was a small dream and those notebooks.

"You ruined everything I had..."

His Hazel eyes darkened with the sunset. Will he take off his façade before her? Janet was instinctively terrified.

"I wanted to make friends with you."

Why is he still approaching her? Too close, too suffocating...

Janet slapped him in the face with full strength. He was almost deaf for a second.

"Leave me alone and say nothing about the past, you bastard!!!"

When Janet Johnson was in high school, she dreamt about becoming a writer. She had been writing a story for three years.

One day, she accidentally saw one of her classmates bullied, and painfully found that her story, was burnt to ashes.

"It was Matt...Matt Turing."

She gave up her dream. Years later, she became a teacher because she wanted to stop bullying among students.

Then Matt appeared again.

Would a bad boy change when he wears suits? Janet had no idea. But in his suits, he looked really…… charming.
