Kat continued to hug Lily for a while. Reassuring her friend that it would work out. After calming down Lily slowly separated herself from Kat and said "Ok, thank you. I needed that, a lot. I think I'm still going to look through these books. I think I'll find the cheapest textbook for the subjects I'm interested in" said Lily.

"Ok, I'll come and look with you" said Kat patting her friend on the head.
The girls spent a bit of time examining the books around the store. It wasn't hard to find assorted textbooks on a wide range of topics but comparing the prices was a nightmare. Some books were marked on the corners, others had a slip on the front cover and no small number had no visible pricing just a sticker with a barcode on them, a few even seemed to be lacking anything at all to identify the price.
"Maybe you should get a job here, clearly they need someone to organise this mess" said Kat


"Um, er, they have that guy out the front, he seems unconcerned" said Lily


"Yes, because teenage boys are the best benchmark for if a room is cleaned or not. I've lived with quite a few of them, and outside a few specific instances the mess just accumulates somehow. Honestly it's pretty magical to watch we by week" said Kat


"Hey wait a minute" said Kat after a moment of thought "Isn't your room just as bad as the shop?" 


"Well, no, most of my books on the floor are heavily damaged and can't be read anymore. Only a few specific stacks are still fine, and I keep them orderly" said Lily blushing.
Gathering together four books that Kat and Lily could only assume where the cheapest in the shop they headed to the counter. Lily had chosen to cover, science, design, teaching and computer science.


"So I get the design, and maybe even the science but why the teaching and computer science?" said Kat


"Ah, well, the science and the computer science are both for researching. Science you've figured out, but computer science also has some research areas like data science. The teaching is because if I want to be a teacher librarian I have to be a qualified teacher as well" said Lily


"And you want to teach? In front of people?" said Kat raising an eyebrow


"Well, I mean, not really… I'm just keeping my options open. These are the only things I'm even remotely interested in I think" said Lily


"Well I hope you think otherwise nobodies got any idea what you're doing" said Kat
Lily and Kat placed the books on the counter and the boy behind the counter stopped reading long enough to ring through the prices before turning back to his book. Lily was about to walk away when Kat jabbed her with an elbow lightly and whispered "Ask him if there is a chance you could get a job here" said Kat


Lily paled and returned with "I'm not prepared for this, and I mean the city is a long way away"


"If you're sure" said Kat as she swiped the four books and went to meet up with Vivian and Lily who were waiting out the front.


"Hey, I can help with that Kat" said Lily. Kat responded by lifting the books with just one hand.


"They really aren't that heavy" said Kat


"Still, I shouldn't make you carry them" said Lily. Kat then lifted the books up onto two fingers. Kat was struggling a bit to balance them, but the weight was no issue.


"Fine" said Lily pouting.
As the group started walking Kat noticed that Vivian was holding a book "What did you buy Vivian?"


"Actually, Sylvie suggested it, we are going to make our way through it together" said Vivian. Turning the book around it read 'Shogi for dummies'
*I feel like I should have questions, but I can't figure out what they are.*


"So where to now?" said Kat as they left the store


"Wherever you girls want" said Vivian


"Why are you leading the way then" said Kat


"Would you like to lead the way?" said Vivian. Silenced followed, as no one replied


"I thought so" said Vivian "I'm just planning to go through the hall mall. Just stop me if you find anything interesting" said Vivian
And so the group continued to wander around the shops. Occasionally Vivian would lead them into a store for them to look around for a moment but nothing of note was purchased. Things were relatively normal until two girls around Kat's age tapped her on the shoulder from behind. Turning around to face the pair Kat saw that they were both wearing matching outfits of jeans and split sleeve shirts.
*These girls have to be twins, or at least sisters. Actually, they remind me of Annie and Amanda. Could it be the same girls?*

"Do you think we could get a picture with you" said Twin 1


"We'd be quite grateful" said Twin 2


"Sure, if you'd like" said Kat, and before she even finished her sentence Vivian had appeared beside the twins.


"I'll take the picture" said Vivian bringing out her phone


"Thanks" said the Twins
"So how do you want to do this" said Kat as they moved out of the central walkway into a bit of a corner.


"If you don't mind" said Twin 1


"We'd like to stand either side of you" said Twin 2. Kat nodded and took position along the wall. The twins took up positions either side of Kat posing slightly with there arms crossed, leaning away from Kat slightly.
 *Should I be posing as well* Kat decided on crossing her arms to match the twins and leaning backwards slightly.

"Everyone ready" said Vivian lining up the shot with exaggerated hand movements "Say demons"
Kat flashed a grin, and while the twins responded faithfully with "Demons" The camera flash went off and Kat was pleasantly surprised to note that she wasn't blinded by it at all. The twins however both had to blink there eyes a few times before they headed over to Vivian to check out the photos.

"Huh, I didn't think Kat had purple eyes, strange photo" said Twin 2. The world slowed as Kat's mind went into overdrive. *Why are my eyes showing purple? I didn't use any powers, did I? Shit, the flash, could it have caused this? I used a bit of demonic energy to counteract the flash and they showed up purple?* As the twins turned to face Kat she put the barest hint of energy just behind her eyes hoping that it would replicate the purple tint shown in the photograph.

"Huh, I guess you're wrong sis, she's got purple eyes right now" said Twin 2


"I thought for sure they were blue just before" said Twin 1


"Might have been the lighting" said Twin 2


Vivian paled slightly while this conversation was going on connecting the dots same as Kat had done with only a little more time in between.


"Hey girls, how did you want me to send you this photo? Email? Text?" said Vivian calmly trying to redirect the conversation. The twins both shared a look with each other before nodding to some unspoken agreement.


"Send it to 'doubleAtwins@moonriver.com'" said the twins in perfect sync.


"Sounds great dears, just one moment and…" said Vivian fiddling with her phone "Sent"
It was at this point Kat noticed a line forming around her. *Oh great. I say yes to one picture and now I have a crowd. Normally I wouldn't mind but Vivian said we have to leave in time to visit her friend. Plus I don't really want to be taking pictures on my day off when I could be hanging out with everyone.*
 
"Ok, I apologise but I have things to do. I'll do five extra pictures. You provide the device to my friend" said Kat pointing to Vivian who waved and smiled "and we can take one picture. I don't mind if you want to partner up or have a few groups at once. Just been mindful of each other, no fighting and don't take too long" Turning back to face the twins who were beginning to walk away to avoid the crowd "See you both next time Annie, Amanda"
The twins waved back not really thinking about it and continuing for a moment before turning and realising what Kat had just said, though when they turned Kat already had quite the crowd. So they left to continue their day out.
While this was happening Kat heard a shutter go off from the crowd. *Should I be mean about this? Yeah I think I will.*

"Ok, that's one photo" said Kat. The crowd made displeased grumbles but couldn't identify the person. Because of this the crowd started to ramble and had the voices mix into indistinct sounds before the seemed to reach a census. The groups surrounding Kat split roughly into four groups. *Well, I guess this is how we are doing this now, school choir style.*
As everyone was getting into position Kat carefully released her calming aura to surround everyone. *Better off using this now to prevent an issue. Hopefully we can just calming get a few group photos and I can be on my way…*

“Kat, you have a tail” said Lily
“Look, Lily, it really isn’t that big of a concern” said Kat
“You.Have.A.TAIL KAT” said Lily “How is this not a concern to you?” 
“Well, the dream I had was a bit weird as well, but if I’m honest, I’m mainly worried about the floating text that’s on fire” said Kat

A young girl, 4 years of age, pale skin, hair colored white that faded to sea green on the ends. She was playing in the middle of a sandbox. All of the sudden there began to form metals around her, there was Mercury, Lead, Aluminum and Titanium. Then the metals vanished, water had started to form around her, then strikes of lightning began to hit, even though there was a clear sky. The girl was just sitting in the middle of it, in awe, because she realized this was her quirk. 

The girl had tried to tap into the power that was coursing through her and suddenly everything around her shut off. She was laughing happily that she had manifested such a powerful quirk. She began to run home to her mom to tell her the fun news.

Evelyn's Home

The girl, Evelyn, had made it home and was currently telling her mom the news. She was explaining all the things her quirk had done, from forming metals to making water and lightning. Evelyn was laughing whilst retailing the tale from not even 10 minutes ago. 

Her mother picked her up and brought her to bed after listening to the story. She wanted to go set up a doctors appointment for her daughter to see exactly what her quirk did as it was quite broad if what Evelyn told was true. So Evelyn's mom, Allyson took Evelyn to a doctor for Quirk Analysis.

Evelyn was sitting in her chair while the doctor was talking to her mom about Evelyn's quirk. Evelyn ended up not really listening to anything they said until they started talking about the specifics of her quirk.

"Well Miss Alura, your daughter seems to have the quirk of Elemental Control. She seems to be able to control everything at the atomic level. She could for instance turn air into metal, or vice versa. Quite the powerful quirk if I do say so myself."

Evelyn when she heard that it was Elemental Control, thought that the only way she could really understand her quirk was to research in science what the elements were and what each elements properties were.

Evelyn's Home

After everything was said and done, Allyson took Evelyn back home to which Evelyn went to their houses small library and began to look through books filled with different areas of science. She sifted through book after book until she finally found 4 books on the Elements and their properties. 
After collecting those books she went and looked for math books on pretty much every subject.

She left for her room and began reading every book she had found on the elements. She read the books constantly, until the books were commited to memory. Evelyn however, didn't stop their. She continued to read the books until she could recite it in her sleep. She actually did that, she had read it so much that her dreams had turned into her just reading the books.

A month had passed since Evelyn had memorised every elemental science book and every math book in her house. She was currently outside using her quirk, she was creating both a storm and a massive amount a spinning needles. This was her training both her quirk and her brain. She was training her quirk by simply using it in different creative ways, and was training her brain by multitasking with using her quirk.

A woman was born with an extremely strong quirk, Elemental Control. She never had any hate against Heros nor Villains, so on her adventure, will she choose the path of a Hero, or Villain?

It started to rain when I drifted to sleep.

I remember it was raining too that day...


6 years ago.


The sound of rain falls heavily on my ears as I put my head out of the window, staying far away from the mad man in the middle of the room.

That mad man is currently cackling loudly in front of the bubbling cauldron in the middle of the room, laughing heartily at the milky white substance bubbling being cooked.

That mad man stopped his laughter and put on a solemn expression, "The key to the preservation of the golden age of humanity is finished."

That comment made me unable to help but yell at him. "The key to the preservation of the golden age of humanity stanks!!! A Lot!!!"

I put my head out of the window again, staying far away from that stinky substance.

That put the crazy laughter back at him and I scowled.

That master of mine has been in a happy mood for a month. And he have every reason too. We found a pre-war dwelling, and by pre-war I mean before the Fallout. It was buried under the dirt for a thousand years now,  and if not for that pest of a giant mole munching too much of our plant that we decide to rid of then we'll never know we built our shack on the top of some treasure.

Or thousand years old junks. Antiques. Whatever you'd like to call them.

I know that people pays a lot for pre-war stuffs. They're very valuable because they remind us of our golden age before we destroy it. But I really don't understand why he's so happy when we saw that bookcase and the books within.

Those books were so old and fragile that I saw some of them crumbling even without a touch.

It was then that the old man become very serious and seal that underground cave. He didn't want to ruin those treasures, he said. And then he sent me to buy some chemical reagents and other stuffs necessary to make that milky white substance that will kept those book from crumbling. Or crumbling too much, I mean they are really really old, and they are really really fragile.

I just didn't think that it will smell so bad.

Master regained his composure and grinned, "What would you know, brat, this smell is the proof that I cook it right."

I scowled at him. "Does it have to smell that bad?"

"Well, you can reduce the smell by adding some stuff, alright, but the preservation effect will be reduced, too. So yes, it have to smell that bad. That other recipe also kept the appearance of the books just a little bit better, but you need to process the book further. It's just not worth it"

I scowled at him. I swear I'll find that other recipe.

Master took the cauldron off from the fire and put it in the corner. "Now that the preservative is done, we'll have to wait tomorrow to process the books. We have to be very careful so that we won't ruining those beauties, won't we?"

There he goes it again. "I really don't understand why you care about the books so much. There are others antiques there that if we didn't seal the cave we'll be able to sell them. Why are they so important?"

The old man grinned, "That's because knowledge is power."

"You've been telling me that. But what kind of power can those books give us? If we sell those antiques we can acquire some money, and with money we can buy food and everything, but what can knowledge in those fragile do to us?"

"Everything! Haven't I taught you how humanity reach the golden age?"

"No, master. I'm pretty sure you haven't."

"Oh, time to rectify my mistake, then."

He walked through the room and reach the window by my side. Looking at the rain outside he asked me. "Tell me what is newtonian holistic?"

"Isn't that what it's called when your knowledge has reached such a level that you've understand the principle behind all the phenomenon of the world?"

"Yes, it was when you've collected known knowledges and theories that they formed a system of knowledge that allows you to explain the principles behind all the phenomenon. A holistic system of knowledge where everything is answerable.

"It was named after the Great Sage Newton who managed to do that back in the 17th century. And so science was able to answer all the question on nature and the laws that govern them.

"That was until Great Sage Einstein's Relativity Theory torn the old newtonian holistic asunder.

"To be fair, Great Sage Einstein pushed the border of science forward with his theories, but the scientific communities received a great shock after their foundation crumbles. There came to be new discoveries, new theories and new experiments. There were new questions, and there were new answers. But most importantly there were questions without answers, especially when the experiments conducted failed to give consistent results. The knowledges and theories of the 20th century to explain all the new discovered phenomenon.

"The lack of ability to answer the questions prompted some sages to believe that there are no answers in the first place for the questions. They gave up. They made up was what is called the Principle of Uncertainty. Basically it says that the results, the answers are unknown by principle. They stopped to seek the answers and embrace ignorance, embrace unknowledgeability into the core of their science. That was the Quantum Physics.

"And then some experiments come out with the same result. It brought out the fact that some laws govern the particles so that if they're treated with the same way they will gave the same result, and unconsistent results before was caused by yet unknown variables.

"But the scientists so enamored by Principle of Uncertainty somehow unable to take the hint from the results that remain the same and to search for the laws that gave out those result, and to search for the variables that prevent other experiments from giving the same result everytime. Instead they announced that those particles must connected, entangled somehow to be able to give same results. They called it "quantum entanglement".

"Great Sage Einstein was angered by that conclusion and called it "voodoo", well, he's basically calling those scientist turned their back from science and making out the answer without sound foundation. They're turning their back from the laws that govern the particles.

"Great Sage Einstein himself never relented in seeking the answers, to find the underlying principles that govern all. He wanted to make a newtonian holistic out of all the new discoveries and theories. He called it the Theory of Everything.

"Unfortunately few scientists share his desire. Most scientist of that era have turn devouts of the half science and half unknowledgeables that is the Quantum Physics. It was convenient. You can turn to science when the answer is knowledgeable and when you can't produce an answer you can turn to the Principle of Uncertainty and says 'It's unknowledgeable after all'.

"So those scientists revel in the weirdness and absurdity of their science, like the quantum entanglement or the "one particle in two places at the same time" of the quantum jump without trying to find out the principles behind those phenomenon.

"Sage Schroedinger tried to show the fallacy in their thoughts by giving out his Schroedinger's Cat thought experiment, but the scientist somehow took fancy in the absurdity of Schroedinger's Cat and instead of proving the fallacy of the unknowledgeabilities, they make the multiverse theory to show that make possible of all results.

"So science remains stagnant, but it can not last since the core of science is to seek knowledge after all. New discoveries emerged, new theories formed. And scientists tried to giving names to all particles they found.

"It was until the 21st century when Sage Otori come out with his Particle Physics.

"Like most people, he figured out from Great Sage Einstein's e=mc2 formula that matter is comprised of energy, but he arrange it further in the way of the atomos theory, which is that atoms are  made of particles, particles are made of quanta and finally quanta are made of energies.

"By making out that particles are made out of quanta, it become possible to explain the matter/wave duality and quantum jump. Drawing the analogy from the solid, liquid and gaseous form of H2O, particles can also have the solid form (matter), liquid form (wave) and the indiscernible gaseous (dark matter) form. In this explanation, matter/wave duality is like how ice turned to water and vice versa, while quantum jump is liken to how this rain was formed, so you can explain this rain as water that jumped from the sea." He grinned widely at this.

"To prove his theory Sage Otori seeks to find the equation for the dark matters that was indiscernible at that time. And since dark matters are the third form of particles other than matter and wave, he did it simply by combining Heidenberg's matrix equation and Schroedinger's wave equation to find the third equation that represent dark matters.

"He succeeded.

"Otori's equation reinvigorate the seeks for the Theory of Everything. Scientist around the world flocks to him when he announced he's researching the structure of particles, similar to the way how atoms were made of protons, neutrons and electrons, he's researching on what quantum forms particles.

"Once again science provide answers for everything, just like the way Great Sage Newton once did.

"And the golden age of humanity started from there."

As Aaron was feeling perfectly fine, he decided to go to the library immediately. He really wanted to. Not only because Marcus said so, but he wanted to learn about this world. The 10 books he read earlier werent as detailed nor they covered a lot of topics. He wanted to know how developed the science was here. He wanted to know what general Philosophy was like on the planet. Most of his questions would be answered here. 
When he reached the library, he saw it divided into 3 wings. At the front was a desk with a librarian seated behind it. 
"Hello. I am Aaron. Mr. Hawkins asked me to come here. He has a list of books for me to read as well."
The librarian looked up from his desk. He was a middle aged person with a heavy build. 
"So, Marcus has a new student. He found two students within a couple of years. Knowing him, he must have listed down books from the primary section. Just head down on the left. You will find the books you need. You can read as many books as you want from that section. If you want to move to tertiary or advanced section, you need your teacher's permission. I also dont want you making any noise or disturbing others. If you want to borrow a book, it needs to registered with me first."
He explained the rules to Aaron. 
After listening to him, Aaron moved towards the section and couldn't wait to start reading. 
Aaron spent most of his waking day at the library now. This has been going on for about a month now. He finished his daily training, breakfast and session with Marcus and headed straight for the library. He would leave for lunch and be back. He would finally leave when library was about to close and he was asked to leave. He would take the book which he was reading and continued to read in his room after dinner. 
He finally had a good idea about this world. The science books he read werent too advanced. But it was already comparable to what a 12-13 year old would read on earth. Looked like mages were intellegent even as kids. Else why would these books placed in this section. Maths was also pretty much the same. It was pretty similar to how it was on earth. The terms used were different. But the underlying concept was the same. He could easily finish those books. It was like light reading for him. Life of mages and general knowledge of the world, those kind of books interested him more. These were the things unknown to him.
His training was stagnant with no results. The cube didnt move. Marcus said it was normal. It will still take him sometime. 
Aaron felt like he already got the most out of this section of library. He obviously didnt finish all the books but he did finish the list Marcus had given him a long time back. He also finished reading most books he wanted to. He also read a few books from the other elements. The visualization and will part was the same. How the actual happened, that differed. 
So, one morning he decided to ask Marcus about the access to the tertiary section. 
"What? You want access to the tertiary section? You finished the books on the list? Do you find it funny?"
This was the first time he saw any sign of anger on Marcus. It seemed like he didnt take the request too well. 
"It would do you a lot of good if you seriously read the books I asked you too. Not only them, there are a lot of other books which you should have read  in that section. "
"Mr. Hawkins. I have truly read whatever books you have asked me to read. You can ask me whatever you want from those books."
"Ask. Ask you say? Fine. Tell me what is air made of?"
"Air is made of a mixture of different gases. Two of the gases are the one we inhale, the other we exhale. There are still some other gases whose purpose couldn't be determined. "
He knew about nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide making the bulk of the air. He could even list down the noble gases and several other gases. But those werent mentioned in the books he read. He went by the book. 
"That was an easy one. Explain phythagorus theorem."
Aaron explained it with ease. 
"What is matter?"
"Matter is anything with has mass. Its made up of lots of tiny particles. Those are the building blocks of everything. "
Now, Aaron knew about atoms and molecules. But by the book. 
These answers may seem easy for a grown up, but was nothing short of a miracle for an almost 9 years old kid to say so confidently. Although mages were smart he could still be considered one the real geniuses if he truly read it and just didn't get lucky with the questions. 
That last answer seemed to calm Marcus down a bit. 
"You really finished those books?"
"I did. "
"You also read other books as well?"
Aaron listed a few of the books he read. He hid a lot of names. He didnt want to anger Marcus. It was already difficult for him to believe Aaron. 
Marcus who was standing sat back on his chair. 
"How old are you?"
"I am almost 9 now."
"A 9 year boy want tertiary admittance. You know other mages would laugh at me. I am laughing at myself for thinking to let you do as you wish. "
"Go, do as you want. I will hand you a letter allowing you to enter tertiary section."
"He finished it in a month. Those books were supposed to last him 3-4 months atleast. What it he finished the tertiary section in another month? No that wont be possible no matter how much of a genius he is. "
Marcus kept murmuring but little did he know that science amd mathematics section of tertiary section was something that his student already knew. 
Tertiary section held books which were at the high school level. 
Once again Aaron found that the level of science and mathematics wasnt that bad as compared to earth in terms of theory. What it truly lacked in was that they didnt have machines or technology to prove those theories. So these theories couldnt be used in day to day life. Mostly mages involved themselves with scientific research. Science was used to understand the world. The main aim of mages was still magic. They wanted to acheieve higher levels. 
The books here provided a brush up of his mathematical studies. He had already studied it before, but it had been a while since he had done any sort of maths. 
Another two months again passed by in a jiffy. 
The cube Marcus had given was always with Aaron. He kept it in his hands even while he read. He kept it front of him while he ate. He stared at it while he laid down at night before he fell asleep. 
On one glorious day as Aaron kept trying to imprint his will on the cube to make it move, it moved. It moved by itself. Only a couple of centimeters above his palm. But it did. He was estatic. He was finally a mage. No matter how much people told him he had the capability to be mage. It couldnt make Aaron relaxed even a tiny bit. There was always a voice in the back of his mind, what if he failed. What if all of this was a trick and there were no real mages. But all those voices were silenced for good. He was a mage. He couldn't help but repeat the excercise. It floated up once again. When he tried to move it further up, it started to wobble and fell down. It didnt dissapoint him much. He was already happy with what he had achieved. He couldnt wait for the next morning and share his results with Marcus. 

"So you say you can do magic now? Show me."
Aaron took a deep breath. He placed the cube in his palm and willed it to change its location a little above where it initially lay. It gently floated a little above his palm. Aaron had a contented expression on his face. 
"Good. Seeing how good you are at your studies I knew it wouldnt take you much time achieving this step."
"Now show me how high can you lift it. "
Aaron furrowed his brows in concentration. The cube moved another few centimeters and began to wobble. Then it fell down. 
"Do you know why it fell down?"
"I was using my palm as its reference point. May be as the distance increased increased, I needed more energy?"
Aaron expressed his reasoning. This was the first time he expressed what he thought. Previously he always gave vague answers as to prevent any suspicions. He was too excited this time around and didnt care and expressed his true reasoning. 
Hearing his reply Marcus was a little surprised. When Aaron successfully made the cube float, it was more or less expected. Although he acheieved it a few months earlier, but Marcus could see he had the signs of a genius. 
But the reasoning behind the failure, that analysis was a very important part of mage. Why didnt something happen, figuring that out was half the answer needed to solve a question. 
"Your reasoning is not bad. The reason is infact the growing difference between the point of reference. But its not because of energy consumption. Although the required energy increases, you still have a lot of magic power to spare. If you could, you have enough magic power to lift the chair you are sitting on. So moving this cube far isnt difficult at all. "
"Its the will. Your will isnt tempered yet. Its not strong enough. Its like a person wont be afraid if he is standing on a chair. But at the edge of a cliff he will be scared. Its the not the exact sake thing, but similar. "
"Remember will is as important as your understanding. If you lack in one aspect, you will always lack as a mage. "
Saying that, Marcus pulled out an empty glass vial with a stopper this time. 
"Now, I want you to lift this. Repeat the same thing you did the cube. Get familiar, visualize then impart your will. You may leave now."
A different toy. Lets see how long it takes this time.

She signaled Tony to sit over there and pointed towards a seat. When she sat down then she headed towards small storeroom in right corner of Biology lab. Inside she placed her handbag and came back with a stack of Biology books in her hands. She pointed towards books already kept on a table there, then placed the stack in her hands over them and started describing.
"Tony look over here, we have lots of books at school. Since years publishers gave us these sample books to us and I am working here since last fifteen years. Earlier there was only one publisher then two started coming over and now 7 publishers are there. I had given some books to students earlier too but, even then I have around thirty five biology books for Senior Secondary part one and forty five for part two. Most of the students don't get passed in part One and they leave the school mid-way so pat two books are more here.
Only because of you we realized that some students are drifted by teachers like Miss Mee-an so they don't ask for books to us while they need them so either they drop out of school or get failed. Headmistress came with an idea to collect all these books from teachers and distribute to needy students and don't you think It's a good deed.
Tony asked back her "yes Miss but there are total one hundred and thirty nine students in part-1 with science and all are there in queues in front of head Miss room, how to manage the less number of books to all the students?"
Miss Popi replied "let's see what happens".
By one o'clock everybody finished enlisting their names for free books and they found ninety seven students needs these book sets for science subjects of Senior Secondary part one.
Headmistress was flabbergasted by just looking a the number of students and conducted a meeting with students.
In Class Senior Secondary part-1
"Class, we put a notice yesterday for sample books and got names from ninety seven out of one hundred and thirty nine students. That means almost all of you wants free books so suggest something how to do this as we have some sample books with teachers meant for reading and using in exam question preparation those too provided by publishers only" announced Headmistress.
Surb raised her hand and started saying "Miss we can have it on the basis of grades in Higher Secondary"
"Sit down, next!" Headmiss words came out.
Dolly get up and said "Miss ask everybody to submit an income declaration from their parents and decide on the basis of economic situation."
"Its too much hassle, sit down next!" stated Headmistress
Ren get up and stated "Miss conduct a test/Quiz and on the basis of that test school can decide"
"That's right, even some organizations wanted to conduct some activity for science students in our school, good idea girl, So it is decided class that we are going to hold a set of activities soon to decide the students who will get the sample books from school" exclaimed Headmistress.
Then Headmistress turned to leave but Tony cried "Miss I have an idea by which all the students can have the books."
"What idea?" Headmistress frowned
"Miss we can ask those organizations to invite some guests who can donate some money to school and we can purchase more books with that and distribute to all the students all One hundred and thirty nine."
"Great" said Headmistress, turned and left from there.
It was already the time to leave for home so everybody left.
Tony waited for everyone to leave first, when everyone left then she got up and started to walk towards door. Her wound make her walk really slow.
She reached door then only Vars came to her and said "Thank You, because of your idea I would get the books because I don't have good grades in higher secondary and I wouldn't performed good at ant academic activity. Let me help you to bus stop" and offered a hand to help.
Tony held it happily and said "I am extremely sorry, but that day Miss Sun gave those notes to me to hand them over to Principal sir as she was busy. That wasn't me who took those notes from there".
Vars reached out to stroked her back and told her not to worry. Just then a girl entered Tony's line of sight. She was white as milk wearing golden rimmed glasses and brown-grey long hair with white school uniform over her slim body. She was just like a character from some fairy-tale she is white so let her be 'Snow-white'. Vars introduced this girl "Tony she is Ena our classmate".
Tony didn't saw her at the day of introduction so she said confusedly "Classmate?"
"Yes she came today only and she shares half of our way to home in bus so I asked her to join me" cleared Vars.
"Oh" said Tony and thought whatever her name is I will call her Snow-white.
Vars and Ena get along well and they were talking all the way from school to bus stop and bus stop to Ena's stop leaving Tony with her thoughts.
Tony put her head on the headrest and closed her eyes. From their conversation Tony realized they were talking about some incidence with same person. So, they both already know each other.
After Ena was gone then only Tony opened her eyes and asked Vars "you two know each other well?"
Vars didn't replied just nodded silently.
Then she felt I shouldn't ask any further but she was very curious How they both know each other and they even have common people so she couldn't stop and asked "is she your relative or something?"
Vars said shortly after a pause "No"
"Okay" Tony said and again closed her eyes like before feeling curious inside.
Women are bound to gossip and collect knowledge so is the case with Tony.
Actually that price to get passed in Mathematics exam Vars needed money and she wasn't able to tell it to her parents so she asked money from her boyfriend. His boyfriend gave her money and ended up selling her to his friend lastly. That night there were two girls in that party one was Vars and other was Ena. That was how they both knew each other very well. From there on Ena introduced Vars to her circle and her escort service.
Soon after they turned good friends and Vars also started providing her services through Ena's agency. They use to meet for work and earn lots of money. They came to same class and same school to convince more girls to join their service agency who need money.

An innocent small-town girl with aspirations changed her life in due course, became one all alone and then found the love of her life during her journey to make and understand her life


The bell suddenly rang, abruptly ending the disappointing conversation. Resigned, Taylor pushed herself off the bench and ran towards the entrance doors, shouting back to Amy that she would see her later. She jostled through the crowded corridor of chattering students and hurried down the hall towards the girls' toilets. Taylor's next class was two periods of Science while Amy had her Spanish class, but she knew they would meet up after school to walk home together. It was their routine and they had done it for years, ever since they first met at eight years old and fell instantly into a firm friendship based on a shared love of Polly Pocket, unicorns, and tabby kittens.
Science class dragged by slowly, every minute as long as an hour. Taylor did not understand Science. Science seemed to require far too much logic. Logic was not something she could relate to on any deep level; Taylor preferred to lose herself in the fantasy worlds in her beloved books. She felt a brief spike of interest when Miss Brougham said the students could use the Bunsen burners for an experiment, delighting in the magical purple flame that jumped from the simple tube, but the rest of the lesson was just a jumble of confusing facts. Taylor didn't even have any friends in the class to pass notes with and pull faces at. Amy was her best friend, as close to her as the sister she had never had. Since the day she and Amy first met, Taylor had never felt any real need to make friends with a lot of other people. Amy understood Taylor and Taylor understood her. She was friendly enough with the other students, no one could call her a snob exactly, but she didn't care to spend a lot of time with anyone else but Amy. 
Taylor daydreamed and doodled on her notepad as Miss Brougham droned on, drawing Matthew's initials intertwined with her own inside a lavish, whimsical heart. She smiled as she imagined his warm brown eyes gazing lovingly into her own. She pictured him leaning in close, close enough for her to see the sweet indentation of the dimples on his cheeks. She imagined reaching out her hand and pushing the tip of her index finger into the left dimple to see if it fitted just so.
"Thank you, Taylor." Miss Brougham sounded both pleased and surprised.
Taylor sat bolt upright and looked around. The other students were pushing back their chairs and collecting up their schoolbooks and pens. No one was looking at her, not even Miss Brougham. Taylor squinted her eyes at Miss Brougham, sensing a trap. Why had she singled her out Had Taylor heard her say her name or had she imagined it She never contributed to Science class and Miss Brougham knew that. Why had she said her name Miss Brougham looked up at last, her expression pre-occupied, but she was most definitely looking at Taylor.
"What" Taylor stood up in confusion as the other students began to file out of the room. The period wasn't over yet, not even halfway through. What was going on
"It was so sweet of you to volunteer, Taylor. It's nice to see you getting involved. Please take these over to the library and then you can meet us at the poplar trees when you are done. You can be excused from making a bark rubbing, but you will still need to complete the rest of the assignment at home tonight." Miss Brougham jiggled the cardboard box in her arms impatiently and looked pointedly up at the clock.
Taylor hooked her backpack over her shoulder and walked dumbly across the room to take the box from Miss Brougham's hands. It was heavier than it looked and she had to juggle it to make it sit comfortably on her forearms. When had she offered to do an errand for Miss Brougham She thought back over the previous few minutes, searching for how she might have got herself into this position. She felt foolish when she remembered. In her fantasy, she was just about to push her finger into Matthew's dimple. She must have unthinkingly lifted her finger just as Miss Brougham made her request and the teacher had mistaken the action as a sign that Taylor was willing to help. No wonder she had acted so surprised. Taylor never volunteered to do anything. She was the type of student who sat quietly, completed her work, and left the class when the bell rang. Amy would tease her sometimes, tell her was an observer rather than a participant, but Taylor liked it that way. She would reply primly that not every character could be a hero. Strong personalities are what give a book its substance, Taylor would say, but every story needs a quiet, unobtrusive support crew.
"Mrs. Latham will know what to do with the books. Thank you, Taylor." Miss Brougham briskly picked up her pen and notepad and followed the other students out of the room.
Cursing her own inability to concentrate, Taylor trudged out of the empty classroom carrying the burden she had so blindly requested. Were bark rubbings even Science And anyway, weren't they too old for that type of pre-school activity How could she finish the assignment at home when she had no clue what it was She realized she must have daydreamed her way through most of the lesson. Mad at herself, she left the building and dawdled across the asphalt, silent and void of students at this mid-period time of day, towards the library on the other side of the campus.
Mrs. Latham, the librarian, was busy with another student when Taylor walked in. She sat the box of books down on the floor beside Mrs. Latham's desk while she waited. The library was stuffy and hot and smelt faintly of farts and orange peel. Taylor adjusted her heavy school bag on her shoulder and looked around. A group of students sat over by the large windows that overlooked the sports field, huddled together around one of the low tables with their books spread out in front of them. Her eyes drifted idly over the table before she suddenly stiffened and stared in horror, unable to believe what she was seeing.

With Geodhun’s guidance, Taylor sets off for the Outpost of Illusions to meet the wizard Mistost. During her journey, Taylor is encouraged by Geodhun to follow her heart and rely on her intuition. She learns about trust, strength, and bravery, especially after returning to her own world to make up her friendship with Amy. 
Taylor and Amy step back into the Obsidian Realm where the girls work together, with the help of the friends Taylor has already made in the Realm, to release the land from its enchantment.
After a series of adventures and challenges, all of which she manages to overcome, Taylor returns to her own world with a greater understanding of love, loss, relationships - and of the good and bad aspects of her own self.
