"I am Hyeon-Man Yee."
His name sounded familiar. Gun-Ho heard that name before. He looked at the man again closely. He was actually the famous person who appeared on TV sometimes. He had a famous girl group and a very popular boy group in his entertainment management company.
Hyeon-Man Yee gave his business card to Gun-Ho.
"I'm Gun-Ho Goo."
Gun-Ho handed his business card to Hyeon-Man as well. Hyeon-man looked at Gun-Ho's business card carefully. Gun-Ho introduced himself to him with more details.
"I am running a manufacturing company in a small city. We are manufacturing automobile parts."
The entertainment manager smiled and added,

"I believe these people have already started preparing their performance pamphlet. Maybe you can distribute it to your book exhibition. That way, more people will come to the book exhibition."
"Hmm. The book exhibition starts tomorrow. I don't think we have enough time to prepare pamphlets."
Hyeon-Man Yee and Seol-Bing seemed to be wondering what Gun-Ho and Director Li were talking about since they couldn't understand Chinese. The BM manager, on the other hand, seemed to understand the conversation. He sometimes nodded his head.
Gun-Ho asked the BM manager,
"Do you already have your performance pamphlet?"
"The pamphlet is almost done. Once we get the permit, we were going to finish it by putting the exact performance date on it."
"If you get the exact date now, can you complete the pamphlet and make them ready to be placed at the international book exhibition venue tomorrow?"
"Let me make a quick phone call to make sure."
The BM manager called somewhere and came back with a gloomy face.
"They said they would need at least three days to make them ready to be used."
 
Gun-Ho thought for a second with his arms crossed before saying,
"Let's advertise on TV and the Internet that the pamphlet will be distributed after three days at the book exhibition. If people come to the book exhibition and ask for the pamphlet, we can give them a ticket instead, so they can exchange it after three days with the pamphlet."
"Hmm."
Seukang Li was thinking and Gun-Ho was pressing him.
"If the performance permit was declined in order to protect the Chinese entertainment business and not because it would cause some traffic problems, then maybe you can use it to promote the Chinese entertainment business by letting the Chinese celebrities participate in their performance."
"Hmm."
Seukang Li thought of it for quite a while before lifting his head and saying,
"Okay. I will issue the permit. But there are three conditions."
"I'm listening."
"First, Chinese celebrities have to participate in the performance, and they will comprise one-third of the entire participating celebrities."
The BM manager was interpreting what Seukang Li said for Hyeon-Man Yee, and Hyeon-Man Yee was nodding his head.
"Second, the pamphlet will be distributed at the book exhibition free of charge. And since the pamphlet will be ready after three days, they will have to distribute a ticket to exchange with the pamphlet to people who come to the book exhibition in the earlier days."
Hyeon-Man Yee nodded his head as he heard the second condition.
"Third, put the wording on the pamphlet that the performance is sponsored by the bureau of cultural affairs and radio broadcasting, film, and television of Shanghai."
Hyeon-Man Yee nodded his head again to the third condition.
Seukang Li then called for a staff and asked her to make a word document with what he just said.
 
A female staff came into the office and gave the people in the office a glass of water.
Hyeon-Man Yee extended his hand to Gun-Ho for a handshake and said,
"Thank you for helping us."
"It's my pleasure."
"I will come to visit you at your building in Sinsa Town."

As Seol-Bing expressed her appreciation, Gun-Ho said while still holding her hand,
"Don't mention it. I am honored to meet a famous celebrity like you, ma'am."

Jane: "James don't forget what we talk about. We will go just the two of us" she said reminding her their talk.

James: "Hee~eh can we do it in another day" he/ she said looking at his sister with a tired look.

Jane: "Nope, I will say the day and you will follow or do you want me to say your little secret" she said with a mischievous smile like it's tormenting James.

James: "Pl—please no and don't say it outloud" he/ she said covering her mouth.

Jane: "Good now we will go in 9:30 in the morning" she said turning on the television.

James: "By the way how long are you going to stay here and where's mom by the way?" he/ she said for what he observe been here in two days, they not notified him for their homecoming.

Jane: "I don't know you tell mom, and mom said she will be late because of work" she said that I should come to your place" she said not looking at her, changing the channels.

James: "Ok" he/ she said going to his/ her bedroom.

Removing his uniform he feel that his chest hurting a bit removing the towel without a bra he then change to his boys home clothes consisting a red short and a white t-shirt with a big logo in front, laying on top of his bed he then check for any notification in Darius. Seeing that is nothing he then look at the phone number of the Unknown blackmailer, he rub his temple for the following days that has been occuring. 

James: 'Oh yea what will I wear for the sport festival are we going to provide or the school?' he/ she said looking at the group chat.

Student Boy : [Hey what are we going to bring?]

Caelia: [It's in the paper you should read it for more info 😁]

Student Boy: [Sorry class pres. 😚 ]

Student Girl: [Stop spamming guys]

Student Boy: [Are we going to contribute for the food or just individual? 🤔]

James: [Class press are we going to provide our clothing for the sport festival or the school?]

Student Girl: [So who will be in the tennis again?]

Caelia: [It said the school will measure you for the clothes but they said that you can provide with the design and the fabric or the school will. 😆]

Dray: [Class press should the class make a tarp with the name of our class section.]

Student Boy: [That will be great]

With many spamming messages that James only can see that his chat message didn't even reach, for they want the attention of the class beauty in class even in online.

Getting the advertising for the sport festival, he/ she can see the rules and what to wear for the day. And the start of the activity he then look at the variety of the activities but with his condition thinking about changing to the girls outfit for their activities scares him. Reading more about the pamphlet when a knock on the door stop him from reading, opening it he/ she see his sister.

Jane: "Sorry Je~ssi~ca can you cook, you are the only person are good at cooking" she said with a playful tone.

James/ Jessica: "But you can do it too" he/ she said to her.

Jane: "You know me I'm bad at it, but yours is good" she said pulling him/ her out of his room and going to the kitchen.

James: 'Well I can only do it.' he/ she said bringing out the ingredients.

Jane: "While you cooking I will be there in the living room" she said walking away.

James: "Can you help me at least?" he/ she said expectingly for she will only layze around.

Jane: "You can do it" she said waving her hand.

With nothing to argue to help him making their dinner he/ she proceed to cook to what he knows, While James is in the kitchen they heard a knock from the door.

**Tok Tok Tok**

James: "Jane open the door" he/ she said while chopping the pork.

Jane: "Ok~" she said going to the door in a fast manner.

When she open the door he can hear his mother talking, coming to the living room she question James.

Mary: "James is the food ready? and how's school?" she said putting down her bag.

James: "It will be finish in a minute, my day in school is good and their will be a sport festival for the incoming week. And I've been included for the muse and escort—" he was going to say the last part only to re- think if he want it to say.

Jane: "What are you going to say? you stop mid sentence *grr* is the food ready? I'm hungry" she said looking at James waiting for it to serve.

James: "Alright it's ready" he said putting the food on the table.

Mary: "Anyway James is there going be a payment for the sport festival?" she said while eating.

James: "Well there is, it's in the pamphlet I will bring it for a moment" he said eating his food.

When the 3 of them are in the table they eat in silence not saying a word, after finishing their dinner they return to their conversation.

James: "Here the payment and for what will we do for the sports" he said with the pamphlet in hand coming back from his room.

Mary: "Hmm~ So are you include for the muse and escort? but why is it there is a rule that the boy and girl will wear the opposite clothes for the activity? are you representing the class?" she said reading the pamphlet and looking at James to clarify it.

James: "Well my classmates nominate me to do it *sigh*" he said not denying her word.

Jane: "Oh are you going to represent your class!? I remember when I was going to the UC, they did that to the muse and escort" she said joining the conversation.

James: "Well I can't do anything than to attend  and wait for the worst" he said.

Mary: "And James what will you wear?" she said giving him the pamphlet.

James: "Well the school said they will measure me for the clothes, I will just provide the payment for it" he said leaning back to the chair.

Mary: "Ok your I will give you the money in Monday, if you need me I will in the room" she said going to the room leaving only the James and Jane in the kitchen.

Jane: "In the morning we will go to the mall and I will choose on what clothes your going to wear" she said with a excited expression.

James: "Alright just ho and wash the dishes" he/ she said dismissing her.

Jane: "What can you wash it~ I have something to do" she said avoiding the chore.

James: "Just wash it, you didn't help me for the cooking" he/ she said with a frown.

Jane: "*sigh* ok" she said reluctantly.

James: "Well tomorrow will be a troublesome day for me" he/ she said going to his room.

"Woah.."


Eremes felt his jaw hit the floor as what was once a luxurious, yet empty hall space was now filled to the brim with enough extravagance that he thought he was at a royalty section of a furniture store. Guests flitted from what seemed to be various sections of the hall before him, surveying what was assuredly a multitude of highly rare and highly expensive wares up for sale during the auction.


"Welcome sir. Are you perhaps lost?" A soft masculine voice took him out of his wonder as the repairman faced an immaculately suited receptionist. He didn't look particularly familiar.. "This venue is currently occupied at the moment." Did he not work here?


"I'm here for the event, actually."


"Oh I'm sorry sir. May I see your pamphlet?"  What pamphlet? Bossman haven't said anything about a pamphlet. "The pamphlet for the event sir?" The man requested again, his tone feigning patience as the repairman struggled to hide his confusion. "It also serves as your invitation."


"Uhh. Actually, I'm here as head of maintenance." The embarrassed repairman fought the urge to scratch his head as he explained his situation. "Did Mr. Basco not warn you about me?" 


"Oh?" The receptionist questioned, his expression doubtful as he visibly judged his appearance. "I cannot imagine someone dressed in your state to be this fine establishment's head of maintenance.. Quite frankly." Was he serious?! "If you're one those /media people/-" The disdain on his voice was palpable. "-trying to get in, I'll have you know that your kind is not welcome in this here event. Shoo."


Eremes fought against his baser instincts as the posh receptionist gestured with his one hand. It's not like he was /that/ dressed poorly, was he?


"What're you waiting for?" The nerve!


"Oh! Uhmm.." Fishing out his work ID, the head of maintenance presented his credentials to the skeptical receptionist. "How's this for identification?" Hopefully this'll work.


"Quite a masterful forgery you have here.." What?! "If I were not the one standing here today, perhaps one of my colleagues might've let you on in by mistake." His ID was the the real deal! Was this guy some kind of idiot or something?!


"Listen! I'm needed there on the floor to make sure all your wires are spic and span, capisce?" He didn't have the time for this kind of malaka. "I promise you, I'll even-"


"Spare me your pitiful acting skills." The receptionist's eyebrow twitched as he faced the equally fuming head of maintenance. "I'm quite certain tha-"


"Actually, he's with me." A familiar woman's voice echoed sharply between their space, taking Eremes's attention away from the stupid receptionist and onto the familiar visage of the older woman he was just with on the elevator. "I assume there's nothing wrong with that?"


"O-Oh!" Turning back to the man being addressed, the ruggedly suited man felt joy and vindication as the receptionist stumbled over his words. Ha! Served him right! "La-Lady Mendel! Of course there's nothing wrong!" Lady Mendel? Again.. why did that sound so familiar to him? 


"You're free to enter then, /Mr. Patillo/." Reluctantly giving him back his ID, the clearly rattled yet visibly fuming receptionist finally let him through. "I hope you enjoy the festivities." Oh, just from his salty look? He already enjoyed the event. But..


"Thank you." He simply ground out a polite word of acknowledgement to his once enemy as he went past the belligerent man and joined the woman in red on the other side. He had to be professional, at least. He was still on the clock unfortunately.


"Fancy for you to join me, Mr. Patillo, as is your name." The now named Lady Mendel smiled pleasantly as an arm snaked its way around his. "Quite the spectacle we have here don't you think?"


"Uhhh.. yeah." The confused maintenance staff replied as he wondered why the lady's arm was hooked inside of his. "Thanks for.. uhh.. extracting me back there." 


"No problem Mr. Patillo." That smile.. it seemed so familiar.  


The uncanny pair headed deeper into the packed hall, showrooms and various side stages blurring past as the woman led him towards the front of the main stage. All the while..


"Lady Mendel! Welcome!"


"Oh! Miss Rin! I'm glad you made it!"


"It's nice to see you Lady Mendel."


It seemed like everyone they passed immediately recognized the hanfu clad woman currently hooked onto his right side. And from the surprised looks and steely glares that he got, each and every guest that knew her disapproved of him being near her. They called her Lady Mendel.. Miss Rin.. 


Rin Mendel then should be her full name.. He knew that name from somewhere! It was just on the tip of his tongue-


"I'm afraid this is where we part ways, Mr. Patillo." Eremes was shaken out of his thoughts as the woman let go of his arm and took a seat on one of the tables. "Thank you for chaperoning me towards my table." 


"Oh! Uhhh.. No problem Miss Mendel." Malaka. It was clear as day that she's influential somehow. "Glad to be of help." How should he respond?


"Fufufu. How flattering." The woman chuckled behind her fan. "I'm sure we'll be seeing each other very soon. I believe you have a job to do?" Shit!


"I'll be on my way then Miss Mendel." He replied as he turned towards the direction of the hall's designated backstage area. "Thanks again for the save." Malaka. Too informal! 


"Oh no Mr. Patillo, thank you~" What- No time to think about that, he had to move.


*BRRRRTTT BRRRRTTT*


"Oh what now?" A faint buzzing in his suit's side pocket made itself known as Eremes tried to find his way towards the backstage area. Fishing it out and looking at the- Oh shit Bossman!


"Hello?" He answered the phone as blue eyes made a path through the moderately sized crowd.


/"Where in all of Midas are you Mr. Patillo?!"/ Malaka. /"The opening ceremony's about to start!"/


"I got held up by shitty reception Boss." All pretense of professionalism forgotten as he made his way towards the backstage door. "Not to mention-"


/"I don't give a damn about your excuses Patillo! I need you here now!"/


"I'm here! I'm here!" The hurrying head of maintenance opened the door to his destination as he continued to answer the phone call in his ear. "I got held up okay?!" He stumbled into the backstage area, where his fuming boss was waiting for him in an olive green suit.


"Can it with the excuses and make sure this event doesn't go belly up Patillo!" His boss yelled at him as they both ended the call on their phones. "The Hotel's reputation is on the line. And I don't want anything going wrong for the duration of the event. Is that clear!?"


"Crystal sir." Best to just grit his teeth and do his job.


["Hello and good evening esteemed guests and patrons! Welcome to the opening ceremony of the 3rd Annual Autumn Auction!-"]


Applause echoed through the thin plywood walls of the room as the host announced the start of the event. So it was only the third? He thought the A3 was older than that.  


"Good. Make sure of that, Mr. Patillo." Mr. Basco ended as he exited the backstage, his well dressed visage leaving the repairman's sight. Glad that was over. At least he can do his job in peace.

Eremes kept an ear out to the event as he did a once over of the various wirings and electrical circuits that all met together in the hall's master fuse box. The amalgamation of wires flowed neatly through the main switch, exactly how he left it last week. 


Everything seemed to be in order. Why was he even needed if this was all he had to do anyway?


["And now for the opening remarks, we gladly announce the presence of our lovely vice-mayor-"] 


Huh. So a big wig's in the event. Not that he didn't expect it really.


["Please come on to the stage-"]


Feeling his curiosity peaking and with nothing else better to do, Eremes positioned himself near the main stage. Taking a seat on one of the protruding edges of an unoccupied table, the repairman now had a decent view of the main stage and a good portion of the few front tables.

Hugh felt a wave of relief as he walked out the door of the precinct. There was a weird moment when he crossed paths with the spiky-haired dude but thankfully nothing happened. He had to get out.

"Do you want me to escort you back to your house?"

"No, I'll find my way out. Just get me down on the ground."

Pulman nodded and went around the garage to bring out a hovermotor. This only had two seats, more suitable for mobility and speed rather than defense. He put his handprint in the dashboard. Blue and red lights lit up inside the hovermotor as it revved up inside, ready to go.

Hugh got on behind Pulman as they hovered down into the ground. Down here, Hugh could feel his insignificance under the CDA's building. It was like a force that kept him down, restrained and unable to do anything. He had to get out, fast.

He walked down the streets with the fancy mansions beside him. Windows opened up a slight bit to take a peek at the poor looking Hugh. He kept his head down and kept walking faster and faster until he hogged out. He wanted to be escorted out by Pulman but he didn't want to associate with the CDA any longer, especially with that white-haired dude.

Hugh felt chills on his back as thought back to the time he crossed paths with him.

"Hachooo!!!"

"Are you okay Dempsy?"

"Yeah, someone must be talking about me."

Dempsy looked around his large office at the top of the building. On the outside, the office looked like a black box but the inside was as clear as glass. They could oversee everything in the city here, a luxurious sight even for the wealthy.

"This will do."

"Just call out my name whenever you need it."

Dempsy sat in his gold-covered chair that could be adjusted to his preference. Buttons were at the armchair for complete control over the room. One adjusted the temperature, one was for travel as it hovered around the room. He looked around and smiled, satisfied with the room until he saw the cop still standing in the door.

"What is it?"

"If I may be so presumptuous, can you put in a good word for your leader?"

"My leader? Who? Auberron?"

"Yes, A—-Au—Aube——-yes."

The cop looked like couldn't even say the name 'Auberron'. Dempsy could see the exaltation and praise in the cop's eyes. He deified Auberron as if he was the next coming of Matusa. Just because Auberron could reach the third stage of advancement at only 18 didn't mean that he was special. Dempsy knew that he would surpass him in due time.

"He's not my leader, but sure I'll give in a good word."

With the affirmation, the cop looked like he could cry. His hands were folded together as if his life's wish had been granted. Dempsy smiled at the simpleness of the cop; the lack of ambition in his eyes intrigued him.

Just as the cop went out and opened the door, Dempsy remembered something.

"Oh right, what's the deal with the fat guy?"

"Fat guy? Who's that?"

The cop looked like he was truly unfamiliar with the guy. It looked like he was too engrossed in sucking up to Dempsy that he didn't notice the fat Hugh. Dempsy shook his head and thought for a moment.

"Bring detective Pulman here."

The cop immediately got out and summoned Pulman who was buried in paperwork. He still couldn't figure out the last piece of the puzzle in the mystery of the alley.

"You summoned me, sir?"

"What do you know about that fat guy?"

"Hugh? Nothing much sir. Born from a poor family, currently living on the west side of the city. He is currently enrolled in Wolrath academy at the Support Department."

"Support Department?"

"Yes sir. He is too poor for a Desire pill and his talent is measured to be F-rank."

"....interesting...."

Dempsy smiled to himself. He knew there was something wrong with Hugh when he smelled him. He didn't want to act then because he still lacked information but now it turned out that Hugh was actually hiding something so interesting.

"Is there something wrong with Hugh, sir? Should I summon him back?"

"No, no, you just gotta do something for me."

Dempsy didn't want to bring out the secret so fast; that wouldn't be fun.

Hugh walked back home; it was tiring. When he was finally at home, his shirt was drenched in sweat. He was panting as his hunger burned through his stomach. He wanted to eat so much; he wanted to eat everything.

He went near the windows and punched them with his fist. A loud crashing sounded out through the empty house as the glass shattered into pieces. He didn't wait to eat the broken pieces of glass as he chomped on every single one. Multiple sounds of glass breaking could be heard.

By the end when he regained his sanity, Hugh saw that his house was now windowless. There were no curtains to prevent the wind to blow inside the house. The house was naked to the outside but he didn't care. He was satisfied.

All he needed now was to eat 30,000 calories of food to finish his mission but there was something he had to do today; he had to go to school. If he waited any longer then he would be late for his first day of school. That wouldn't look good on his track records on his scholarship.

He patted down his sweaty uniform, packed his bags, and went on his way to the bus stop. His limited budget only allowed him to buy basic necessities and for emergencies. Basic necessities meaning the junk food that he was munching on in the hoverbus.

The city full of hoverboards and hovercars flying all around the city became fewer as the bus traveled out of the city. A rural surrounding replaced the urban feeling of his hometown. The trees that lacked in the city prospered here on the way to Wolrath academy. On the horizon, he could see his new home for the next four years; that is the place that will change the path of his life forever.

The front side of the academy was the main building in which new and old students were returning to the campus after a break. Most students waited at the front for their friends, bragging about their rank up. New students were sharing their aspirations to adventure out of space, some wanted to stay and be an adventurer. Hugh was different. He won't be bringing out his Desire here so he'll have a support type job.

He followed the students inside and stood in line to register as a student. His turn was up and he introduced himself to the beautiful clerk.

"Student number?"

"20201209"

"Okay sir Hugh, welcome to Wolrath academy. Please put you handprint here, here, and here."

After the forms were filled up, Hugh received his student ID. This ID was only a physical copy for the students to use in everyday life while the ID generated in the neural network of the school can be accessed by using the handprint of the student.

"Here is a pamphlet to ease your adjustment to the school."

The beautiful clerk was all smiles as she handed the pamphlet to Hugh, a rare occurrence in his life. Shrugging it off as a one-time thing, he looked at the pamphlet. Hugh's eyebrows became uneven as he read the contents of the pamphlet.

'A Student's Guide to the Main Department of the Wolrath Academy.'

'Main? That's weird, she gave me the wrong pamphlet.'

He wanted to correct the clerk but she was already taking care of the next student and the endless line behind it. She looked busy so he decided to ask for a new pamphlet later when he had settled down on the dormitory.

He traversed through the campus like the thousands of other students like him. It was a grass plain with intricately carved stones as the roads interconnecting the different buildings surrounding campus. The right side of the campus were filled with tall buildings and wide courts that signaled exclusivity and superiority of the Main Department. He looked to his left and saw common cemented buildings with square glasses, Hugh was reminded of old pictures of colleges in the past.

He directed his feet towards the old-school buildings and went towards the reception. This clerk was a human male that looked bored out of his mind. He was playing something in his phone.

"Uhm, excuse me."

"....."

"Hello?"

"Wait."

Hugh was a little bit angry at the laziness of this clerk. He stopped himself from complaining because this clerk held the key to his new dorm room; he did not want to get on his bad side so he waited. After a while, the man spoke without taking his eye off his phone.

"Student number?"

"20201209"

The man finally looked away from his phone and looked down at his touchscreen. The man furrowed his brows as he scrolled for minutes. This made Hugh nervous. Was he found out by the CDA? Did they revoke his scholarship? Numerous thoughts raced past Hugh's brain until the man finally spoke.

The man looked up at Hugh and his demeanor changed. He stood up to his feet and bowed down to his waist.

"I'm sorry sir for making you wait. I'm sorry to tell you this but this is the Support Department, you have to go to the opposite campus for the Main Academy."

'What?!'

When Audrey left Lucas's office she quickly brushed off the feeling of hurt that was threatening to drown her mind.


She waved Clara and walked straight to her assigned office with her head held up high.


 When Audrey got to her office she quickly familiarized herself with her duties and the duties of those under her editorial team. 


She sent the pamphlet to her team then she asked them to review it and then send it back to her. 

She called them back removing ten pages from the pamphlet so that they could be faster. She was one that believed strongly in division of labour.

By noon she was through editing her part. Thankfully it was a short pamphlet of 50 pages with beautiful pictures.


 When she was done with her part she worked on her blog and by 3 the pamphlet was returned by the other editors.


 It didn't take her long to reedit the work that was returned seeing that the editors 4 of them, did a really good Job editing it. 

By 5 she went to report to Lucas. Stepping into the office she noticed the atmosphere was very tensed and Clara was very moody.

"Hi dear." Audrey smiled, nervously closing the door to the waiting room behind her. Clara really didn't look her happy self.

"Hey." Clara simply replied not removing her eyes from the computer on her desk.

Audrey looked at her suspiciously. "Hey, what is it?"

"Boss really annoys me. He's always bitter and angry. Since the interview yesterday he has even become much worse. He is in a terrible mood now and I have to take all his snappiness." Clara sighed.

 She looked like she was in the brink of tears and Audrey felt pity for her. She was angry at Lucas. Even if he was still mad at her it was not right for him to transfer his aggression to other parties. Like sweet Clara. 

"What do you think I should do. He asked that I return the pamphlet to him by 5. I don't want to take his shit?" Audrey asked already feeling very nervous.

"He is pretty edgy, just drop that on his desk and leave. I would have said you shouldn't go in but then knowing him if he gives you a report to submit it's best you submit it even if your life is on the edge." Clara warned.

"Alright thanks Clara."

"Good luck."


Audrey smiled walking to the office, "Drop and leave. Pretty easy." She repeated to herself as she opened the door to to Lucas's office.

Immediately she opened the door Lucas's voice echoed in the room, his voice was filled with so much anger and rage.


 He was on the phone with someone else and that person was in a whole lot of trouble from the way he sounded. He was standing by the window and with his posture one could tell that he was very very angry.

"All you've said now just manages to show your level of stupidity which I'm shocked at how high it has turned out to be." Lucas barked into the phone. "No I don't need to hear any apologies, apologies won't fix shit! Get the contract sealed, you are not a kid! I mean even a kid will do better!"

Audrey scurried into his office her heart in her mouth.

She  quickly dropped the pamphlet she had edited on Lucas's table and turned to leave. She wanted to leave as fast as possible before he faces her with his rage but Lucas will not hear if it. 

"I will call you back! Get the job done." Lucas screamed one last time. Then he Hung up the call and faced Audrey.

"Audrey turn around now!" Lucas growled. Audrey instantly on her tracks. Her heart stopped and she started to feel really dizzy.

She slowly turned around.

"Sir..I.."

"Are you stupid?" He shouted standing still. His eyes were filled with rage.

"I don't understand Sir?" Audrey replied, trying her best to sound as calm as she could even though she was shaking.

"Oh you are not only stupid but you are also dumb. Wow impressive. I am surrounded by fools!" Lucas chuckled bitterly. 

"I'll like to know what I did to deserve this insults from you." Audrey asked with a shaky voice. She clenched her fist and starred at him daring him.


 He wasn't the only one who was angry now. She was too. Very very angry.


'How dare him call me a fool'.  Audrey seethed. Drops of sweat gathered on her face.

"When I give you an assignment you come back and you report to me! You don't just drop it on my table and turn to leave. It's common sense! although people rarely have it I expect that with your qualifications you do__"

"You were on the phone." She said cutting him off, not willing to hear anymore of his Insults.

"A call that was everlasting that you couldn't wait for me to finish, I assume?" He narrowed his eyes at her.

"Yes." Audrey dared to reply. And that was exactly what it was, a dare and Lucas did not find it funny.


 He quickly moved to her in quick strides until she was backed up against the wall and him a few inches from her_ although he was standing  a little bit far from her shaking form.

"You should know who's boss? Don't be silly!"

"You have become demented, angry and bitter. Treating people like trash which was the same way you didn't want to be treated! The same thing you preached to me against is what you do now. You have become a shadow of yourself Lucas." 

"Isn't that what you like. The rich arrogant boss?" He spat mockingly. He said the word like it was poison.

And to him it was poison.

"Your anger for me controls you. You may own the company but I'm still the boss. Get it over with Lucas. Its been year now."

Lucas laughed  infuriating Audrey more and more. She was so angry she didn't even think it was possible for a person to be as angry she felt then.

 "Who do you think you are! You are nothing! Get of your high horse Audrey, there is nothing you have that I haven't made use of before."Lucas rambled amidst coughs of laughter.

"Go to hell!" Audrey shouted. 

She turned on her heels and banged the door of the office behind her.


Lucas let Audrey leave, watching her open the door_ he didn't stop laughing. His laughter However died down immediately she left the office.

He sighed and slumped on his chair then he buried his head in his hands.

She was right.
