"I thought there could be a trap or something in here. It seems like I am mistaken…"

The Kimono woman continued on looking all around her, as she tried to look for signs of any possible hidden enemy. 

But she still did not find any, which prompted her to just give up.
The Kimono woman then turned her head to the left, until she was face to face with the bratty-looking teenager from earlier. 

This teenager was busy chewing on her gum, giving the Kimono woman a disregarding look as she stared back at her.

"What is it, Delia?"  The teenager replied as she started to glare at the Kimono woman, whose name was revealed to be Delia. "What do you want from me now?"
"Tong'er, do you feel anything weird on this place? Or do you detect any kinds of spiritual anomaly?" Delia replied, seemingly unfazed with the rude reply by Tong'er. "You know that you are the best regarding the metaphysical right here…"

"Hmph, you don't need to praise me like that. Of course I am the best!" Tong'er replied angrily, although some shades of red could be seen on her cheeks. "You want me to do a spiritual search? Heh, I can easily do that!"

"That's my girl!" Delia happily replied as she stuck her tongue out. "I knew at the moment that I tasted your skin that you will be a great ally for me! Hah, I'm so happy that you joined me… It really makes my tongue tingle…"

"Pesky little Aurelions!" they cursed as they strike their own swords at the city guards in fury.

Led by the robed man who was in the Lord's room, he led the others in the clash with the city guards, and he is confronted by the captain of the city guard.

CLANG CLANG CLANG! ...

They stand-off looked evenly matched, but the advantage was slowly moving towards the robed man who wielded a pair of scimitar, as he can execute more moves than the other. 

"Captain, her ladyship Halle is nowhere to be found!" announced the man in armor who is followed by three other armed men, the group are supposed to look for the city lord, but it appears futile.

"Bastards.. join the ranks, and apprehend these barbarians!" he cursed for a moment towards the enemies, while he exchanged strikes with the dual-wielding robed man, before he ordered them to join the fight. His eyes remained glued on his opponent, the leader of the enemy, when he gave the order out.

TI-TING! CLANG! CLANG! TING TING!...

The robed leader on the other hand, knew that their cover is blown, so he decided to not make a stand and take whatever they can when they leave. His eyes narrowed is silence, feeling unpleasant to the sense of irritation and impatience in his mind.

".. Retreat and disperse!" the robed leader ordered as he jumped back, before he turned on his back and dashed away further into the residence, with the pair of scimitars stll in his hands.

The robed group loked a each other before they also turned on their heels and went their own ways as they ran.

"Pursue these rats!" the city guards roared again as they give chase to the robed people.

Along the way, Oliphym's group decided to split up into three groups and parted ways in order to look for the children. 

They entered an underground tunnel network, and the direction where Dune felt Wisteria was in the same direction as the three paths they faced. With great discretion, Amanda decided how the group of nine will split.

Unlike the other groups, it was Dune herself who is accompanying him. She claimed that she had a suspicion, and so far in her opinion, she found it odd how the children were moved so quickly. This made the group think twice about the capabilities of the culprits. 

They are running through the network of tunnels under the mansion, and so far its only been twice-

"Raaaaaaa-!!" a robed man suddenly jumped out from the shadows as if to ambush them. The robed man's attack was directed towards Dune. 

-..That's the third time now. How can still there be these people in this place? The enemies' numbers far exceeded their inital expectations. But from the earlier encounter, it appears that the city guards know nothing of this, and they were stationed only outside of the Lord's residence.

This came as suspicious and very odd for Oliphym, as if the city guards were lax and were neglectful to let this happen under their watch.

"Mine!" he shouted, making sure he doesn't caught Dune as he swing of his short sword, intercepting the robed man. He swung the sword with fury and determination to hit the person. Any trace of hesitance he had before is almost non-existent. His blade left a deep cut on the person's shoulder, while cutting his dominant arm in half the process. Oliphym's serious glare never left the opponent's figure, nor did it shake for a moment.

ARGHH-ugh!- the person howled in pain as he stumble back and sweated pale.

BANNGGG!

The person's figure was then suddenly smashed against the wall, making the wall of the tunnel slightly shake, by an invisible force before he lost consciousness, slowly dying in excessive bleeding.

"Good job Dune." he praised, to which Dune accepted humbly. He suddenly raised his vacant hand towards her, asking her to wait in place. Thoughts ran through his mind as they stood in the middle of the dimly lit tunnel.

"Dune, are we still underneath the lord's residence? Will you be able to tell at least where the children went?" he asked Dune. He doesn't like moving around aimlessly while worrying that something may already happened to others.

"I'm very sorry brother. My capabilities are truly lacking without the baptism, and I'm only relying on Wisteria right now.." her voice had less strength in it, knowing well that her abilities are truly less than what is expected of an earth elemental descent.

"Its fine Dune. We'll make adjustments." he replied, sincerely thinking it was not her fault.

"..You can that ambush?" He stared at the dead robed man and snorted, as if to ridicule at the idea.

They continued forward the path on their own, with the burden of worry for the others and the children, resulting to the group's silence.

"Kya-!" a little girl yelped as she hit the ground. She wasn't used to getting hit. She's small. 

She is just a normal little girl in the city running an errand for her parents, when suddenly, her vision turned black.

The next thing she knows is finding herself in the dark room where there also other kids. Some are quiet, and some of them aare sobbing and whining, calling for their parents or loved ones. Although many, a small number of these kids, boys and girls, are human children, and the rest are demi-humans.

"Get moving you brat! Don't slack, or I'll whip your feet! Go!" the burly man ranted, showing his scarry face with the hood of his robe off.

"Don't hurt her!" a young boy shouted from the group as he stood in front, despite both of his arms being tied behind his back, just like the rest of the kids. His ears and tail reveal him as a wolf descent.

With the few exception of some hands being tied at the front instead. From another perspective, it really shows its raelly not only one people who 
organize and tied the children.

Surrounding them are a group of robbed people, and there are atleast 5 more covering their rear as they move.

"EH? You want some as well you nosy brat!? I'll teach ya a lesson!!" the burly man responded in fury as he whipped the ground and approached the kid.

"Shut up, you brute. Your mouth is ringing throughout these tunnels. I'd send you ahead of these little litters if that would make you shut up." said the woman who is leading the group as they walk through the path, sneaking the children away. She didn't raise her voice, but her words alone had alot of knives.

If anyone were to see her, they'd immediately recognize her as Halle, the Tippe City's Lord. Her lavender-colored hair really would give her away, even with the hood of her robe on.

The group turned silent as they started to pace their movement. The person that was called Brute kicked the girl once and glared at her, speaking in a low, and impatient voice, clearly pissed.

"Move..!"

The little girl shook in fear as tears shed from the edge of her eyes, doing her best to suppress her cries.

wu.. wuu.. wuu...

Her small frail arms suddenly felt two pairs of arms holding onto her. Just like her, they are two litle girls around her age, the other one being smaller.

It was Zeian and Wisteria.

Both of them look very much fine. Their clothes are tor, nor are their any bruises on them, but the dirt accumulated on them after being repeatedly moved and dragged around.

"It looks like it hurts a lot. Can you stand?" Wisteria asked. Her wings are nowhere to be seen as she fold them under her clothes. Her concern remained on the little girl. Compared to the rest, the little girl's injuries are the most severe.

Zeian also looked like she was about to cry as her lips remained shut,or else she might cry as well, looking at her red face.

Zeian and Wisteria took each of the girl's arms over their shoulders around their neck, as they help her walk as they stood at either of her sides.

None of the children could tell if its been long or short walk, the tunnel path ended up on a very wide hall that resembled that of a Cathedral's, but one without anything in it. Just the spacious hall and tall ceilings. 

Their figure even looked more pale and tired when they arrived at the palce. None could tell if its from crying, hopelessness, loneliness, or tiredness. It may have possibly been more, including what was already mentioned.

The hall was lit by flames that resembled the color of Halle's hair, illuminating the entire room. Despite knowing that the sun is still up outside, not a shred of sunlight reach this place. The place itself was also cold, and the air was stale, and the air around barely flow, while the ground also a little moist.

In the center of that hall, where an altar should normally be seen, a clear pond could was in its place, and for some godforsaken reason, there are also purple flames under the water that lit the floor of the pond!

"..Drag the kids into the pond. Don't waste time." Halle spoke as she walked ahead of them and walked around the pond, to the place furthest from the tunnel they came from, where there should be a chair in place at the center of the altar, she stood there.

Most children quietly complied as they are led into the pond while sticking together, as if an instinct in order to protect theirselves. For the minority of the kids that still resisted, the robed people, including the person called Brute, carried, dragged, pushed, or picked up the children and threw them into the pond in response.

"..Might as well push the ritual ahead of schedule.." Halle muttered with a hideous smile as her dark eyes stared at the pond, giggling under her breath.

Oliphym got stranded in another world with incomplete identity, experience, and memories. Oliphym will continue to experience flashbacks, recover memories, and make more as if he is putting together many pieces of puzzles. 


This story would involve many past, numerous lives, and the future. How all in existence came from one single root of origin, the time of creation. Accompany Oliphym as he unveils the truth of his identity, and what his past has prepared for him until he got into another world.

Kant narrowed his eyes. There was a hint of strangeness in his eyes.
The Jackalans were a lowly race, a backwater tribe that had not even developed civilization yet. How could there be more than 30 standard combat soldiers who wore full-body mail armor and held two-handed axes in their hands? 
Looking at the multilayered mail armor as well as the two-handed axes that gave off a cold glimmer, it was obvious that they were not of inferior quality.
The weapons and armor even seemed a few levels higher than the mail armor and the two-handed battle ax equipped by the Jackalan chieftain that Kant's group defeated a while ago.
This was precisely what puzzled Kant. 
30 beings that were not inferior to the Jackalan chieftain actually appeared in this salt mine. It was really strange.
"They have discovered us. "
Riding on his warhorse, Firentis looked at the group of Jackalan below. His right hand was already gripping the hilt of his sword by his waist.

 Firentis did not reply. He knew that his lord had not yet finished speaking.

The strange Jackalan he saw on the dune earlier was walking behind Firentis with its head lowered.
Its movements were very honest-looking, unlike the Jackalan Kant had captured previously.
 Perhaps this was due to the five heavy cavalrymen who were following it on foot. They had already removed the warhammers hanging from their waists. They held them in their hands, ready to smash the Jackalan's head into pieces at any time.

The air was filled with fragrances emanating from all manner of spices. It was a prosperous, lively city at the side of the oasis. Sounds of metals being hammered and threads being woven were heard all over the place, as smiths and craftsmen were busy at work in their respective workshops.
The banner of the successor of the Kingdom of Swadia—Baron Kant—was hanging on the city gates. The citizens lived peaceful, happy lives, revering their lord from the bottom of their hearts.
Soldiers on the city walls armed with crossbows stood guard over the city, and footmen wearing mail armor patrolled the streets.  The place was one of peace and security.

In the desert that seems to be a killer of life, there's quite a lot of animals that live here. But, most of them are nocturnal animals, avoiding the high heat and direct burn of the sunlight in the morning, and coming out only at night when the temperatures are gentler.
Before fully understanding the situation, Zhang Zian doesn't want to disturb anyone -- they had all used a lot of energy in the day, and it's rare for them to be able to rest. There's no reason to wake everyone up for something this minor when there's an even longer way to go tomorrow.
But in the desert, it's really difficult to keep your footsteps light. Every step you take, half your feet sink into the sand, and they rustle of sand as they fall off sound exceptionally loud at night.
Instead, Fina seems to be completely at ease, and its footsteps barely made any sound at all.
The padding on the base of a cat's paw can decrease the sound of its footsteps not only on flat ground, but also in the desert. Besides, the exceptional balance of a cat works well for them in the desert too. When they walk, their weight is balanced amongst three legs, while humans have their weight balanced on one, so they sink into the sand easily.
Cats are naturally lighter, even if Fina did gain some weight after coming to the pet shop...

With the stars not providing much visibility, he could barely see anything at first. After his eyes had gotten used to the light and distance, he could vaguely see a few pairs of eyes lighting up in the night.
He regretted not taking his binoculars when he had left his tent, his brain still half asleep and not sharp yet. He can barely see anything in the dimness of the night.
Fina reached the spine after them, it's eyes focused on the other side, sniffling the air, before scoffing, "It's just a pack of foxes."

Foxes are a branch of the canine genus on the phylogenetic tree, and they don't have their own genus, and the fennec fox is the smallest canine in the whole world. Or, the smallest wild canine in the whole world. Certain teacup breeds of toy dogs are now smaller than fennec foxes, but only after years of breeding.
Fina wasn't exaggerating, Zhang Zian did see a few pairs of bright eyes turning their way, as though hearing the sound that they had made and was hesitating whether they should make a run for it.
Fennec foxes are in the middle of the food chain of the desert, and mainly survive on small mammals, bugs, or lizards. They are hunted by bigger animals like eagles and dingoes. Therefore, in order to survive in the desert, they have evolved a comically large ear in comparison to their face, like two high-sensitivity radar constantly taking in information about their surroundings. Even if it was just one bug crawling underneath the sand, they would be able to hear too.
If Zhang Zian hadn't approached them against the wind, and the wind had taken away a portion of his smell and scent, these fennec foxes might have already run off even before they could scale the sand dune.

"So how long have you been doing this?" asked Creed
Creed finished burying the dead and we headed towards our mission.
"What do you mean?" asked 9s
"How long have you been fighting the machines?" asked Creed
"I have no idea." replied 9s
Creed looks at 9s confused but just shrugged it off.
"Well, I do know that there were 14 machine wars." said 9s
"14 huh." repeated Creed
"Is there a problem?" I asked
"No, it's just, 14 is a lot." replied Creed
9s nudged me with his elbow getting my attention.
"Creed doesn't look so good." he whispered
I looked at Creed and he seemed pretty pale.
"Pod, check Creed's vital signs." I ordered
"Something wrong?" asked A2
Pod 042 started looking around Creed, checking his face.
"He's starving." said Pod 042
That's when I heard a rumble and I immediately sheathed my sword with A2 and 9s but Creed just stood still and rubbed his stomach.
"Sorry that was my stomach." said Creed
"What's wrong with your stomach?" asked A2 as she poked his stomach with the tip of her sword.
"Ow, stop it's not harmful or anything, I just need to eat something." replied Creed
"Humans need food and water in order to survive." said Pod 153
"Proposal, find something to eat." said Pod 042
"Nah I'm good, I can live without food for a couple days, besides we can't find anything to eat here." replied Creed
"Let's get this mission and get over with this." said A2
I grabbed Creed from the waist and threw him over my shoulder.
"What the heck, put me down I can walk on my own." said Creed
"We can't risk losing a human being." replied 9s
"But I'm not going to die." replied Creed, "And besides you guys are only taking care of me because I'm the last man in this world."
"That's not true." said 9s, "We're looking after you cause we're partners."
"Partners?" questioned Creed, "I prefer to work by myself."
"Shut up and stop moving." I said
"Look just put me down." said Creed
"No." I replied
Creed sighed and stopped moving around. We walked for about 30 minutes until we reached this  huge sand dune.
"How are you not tired of carrying me?" asked Creed
I gently let him go on the sand and he gets up and starts walking up the sand dune. I walk up and when we get to the top I gasp.
There standing at the bottom of the sand dune was an endless formation of machines, big, small all kinds of machines, there was a whole army.
"We're fucked." whispered Creed
"We need to get back to camp." said A2
"9s contact Anemone." I told him
I was about to walk back down but an explosion hit us sending all us down the dune. I was able to stop myself from falling, same with A2 and 9s, but Creed kept tumbling down the dune until he hit the bottom of the sand dune.
I look up at the sand dune and saw machines approaching us. I sheathed my sword and swung at the first machine cutting it in half. Another came up but at the same time two others flanked my sides. I stabbed the one in front of me but the two machines on my sides were popped with a bullet in the head. I turn around to see Creed shooting his gun at every machines coming down the sand dune.
"We need to get back to camp!" yelled 9s
I grab 9s and start running down the sand dune with A2 close by. We began to run while Creed would sometimes turn around and shoot the machines that were getting closer to us.
"2b." Creed called out, "Get back to camp, I'll lure them away." 
"Not happening." I replied
"They're after me, they'll follow me, you guys get back to camp and tell Anemone what's going on." he replied
"You're our priority we are not going to risk losing you!" I yelled at him
"The Resistance needs you more than they need me!" he yelled back
We kept running but Creed checked his gear.
"2b, even though I'm the last man standing, you haven't searched the world, there still might be another human being out there." said Creed
"Without you there will be no future!" I yelled
"But the future will still have you!" he yelled back, "As long as you're alive, you can end this and make the future better. You are the future!"
I looked at Creed as he gave me the serious eyes.
"You three are the future, don't lose it." he said
And with that we ran off in another direction, shooting to draw the machines' attention.
"Creed!" yelled 9s
"We have to keep moving!" yelled A2
We kept running and running until after about 25 minutes we got to the resistance camp. Anemone quickly came to us with Avery who seemed to be looking for Creed.
"Where's Creed?" asked Anemone
I stayed silent and just looked at the ground as I clenched my fists.
"He lured the machines away from us, gave us time to escape. The machines followed him, but I don't know if he made it or not." said A2
Anemone looked shocked from the news and kept shaking her head, refusing to believe that it was true.
"Once we had the chance to have a future, we fucking lost it." said Anemone quietly
"I'm sorry." I whispered
Avery didn't move, I couldn't tell if she was sad or not, I'm not the android to tell emotions.
"He's alive." said Avery
"What?" Anemone jerked up having some spark of hope.
"I know him, he's one of the best out of the best." replied Avery, "I hate to admit but he was one of my best men in the company." 
"But this is different, we're talking about machines." replied 9s
"He'll find a way." replied Avery
"I'm going back out there, I need to find him." said A2
"No." 
Everyone turns and looks at me.
"He doesn't want that, he wants us to live." I said, "That's why he lured them away."
9s looked at me with curiosity.
"He believed that we are the future not him, but us." I continued, "And I'm not going to let him down like that."
Avery sighs and rubs her forehead.
"Let's carry out the plan." she said
I nodded my head in response, but 9s looked bothered about something.
"Is there something wrong?" I asked
"Huh, no it's just, I'm worried for him." replied 9s
"Worried?" I asked
"Worried is when you have troubled feeling about something." replied Pod 042
"He'll be fine." I tried comforting him but it was hard since I don't know how to comfort others correctly.
"But how can we know for sure?" asked 9s
"We don't, we just have to trust him." I replied
9s walks over to a bench and sits down so I sit next to him.
"If we win, and all the machines are destroyed, what are we going to do?" asked 9s
"Just like Creed said, we are the future, we live." I replied

After 2b, 9s and A2 were rebuilt and revived by their pods there was nothing left for them to do. YoRHa is destroyed, humanity is extinct and all that's left were the Resistance and the machines. But they discover something that'll spark up hope in rebuilding.
(I didn't play the game but I do have a gist of the story so I apologize if I get any information incorrect.)

Although Cang Gu talked about buying supplements, few of them had the finances to really shop. There was no need to elaborate on Taishan and Tie Mu. As for Songyue, after Yi Yun gorged her, she was penniless.
Now, only Yi Yun was rich apart from Cang Gu.
But Tie Mu never expected to see Yi Yun show no intention of buying any supplements. All Yi Yun did was glance at a few ores that were on display. There were no supreme-grade ores. Truly supreme-grade ores were probably monopolized by the major factions.
"Yi Yun, aren't you going to buy some supplements? Talismans or disk arrays for life-preservation or escaping, or perhaps stuff like weapons…"
Tie Mu was dumbfounded to see Yi Yun standing with his hands to his back after a quick browse. He originally believed that Yi Yun had taken so much of Songyue's wealth in order to deal with Cang Gu. Buying talismans or one-time disk arrays was the best way to raise his strength.
However, Yi Yun had no such intention in mind.
"These items are mediocre in quality." Yi Yun shook his head nonchalantly.
Tie Mu was rendered speechless. The items actually failed to catch Yi Yun's eyes.

"These two. I want them!"
Cang Gu chortled slyly as he chose two female slaves from the slave market.
One of the two female slaves was a female Fey with cat ears and the other was a human girl. They looked sixteen and had petite bodies with a pure, innocent charm.
"Haha, you have a keen eye, fellow Daoist. These two female slaves are still virgins, with their Primordial Yin still intact. They have not been taught before, so you can have that joy to yourself," said the slave merchant attentively.
Upon seeing this scene, Yi Yun was rendered somewhat speechless. Were these the 'supplements' that Cang Gu needed?

Upon hearing Songyue, Yi Yun shook his head. The Chaos Heavens had such tragedies happening everywhere. It had already turned into a rule which he could not effect change on.
"Gather and head for the teleportation array." Cang Gu ignored the helpless looks of despair in the two girls' eyes. He directly stored them into his mobile cave abode.
The Xuanyuan Dune was just too massive. Entry into the mining zone inside the Xuanyuan Dune required them to pass through a teleportation array. Just flight alone would take months. Furthermore, there was no Yuan Qi to supplement them along the way and the areas that they would pass through were fraught with danger. Even Divine Lords could perish if they attempted to make the journey!
As such, there were four factions, including the Taixia Ancient Mining, that made mining their core enterprise. They set up teleportation arrays in the Xuanyuan Dune which led them directly to an ore-rich zone.
Of course, although these four factions had cooperated on this side of things, any encounters between factions in the Xuanyuan Dune made them competitors that would fight to the death!
Ignoring the conflicts of interest between the different factions, there were also the divisions between races.

"What's a spirit tide?" Yi Yun's heart stirred as he looked at Tie Mu.
Tie Mu took a while to recover his senses as he said to Yi Yun, "A spirit tide is a Yuan Qi stream that is spewed out from the ore reserves deep in the Xuanyuan Dune. Every spirit tide results in an especially high amount of ore. Therefore, the Taixia Ancient Mining typically chooses the year of a spirit tide to engage in mining. The other factions more or less do the same.
"During a spirit tide, although ores are easily discoverable, the competition is more cruel due to the numerous people inside. As for Celestials, they seldom appear themselves. They tend to only direct their demonic servants and demonic generals.
"One of the four major factions in the Xuanyuan Dune is the Myriad Demon Valley. It was established by the Celestials, but the ones administering it are usually demonic servants and demonic generals. It's odd that a Celestial expert would come in person today. Could this year's spirit tide be different from the others?"
"I see. What are the other two factions?" asked Yi Yun.
The other two factions are the Nine Netherworld Lands established by the Ghost race and the Desolate Divine Depository established by the Fey."
"Ghosts?" Yi Yun pricked up his brows. He did not speak out verbally as he sent a voice transmission to Bai Yueyin in his soul sea. "What sort of race is that? Are the members of that race cultivators in the ghostly Dao?"
"No." Bai Yueyin shook her head. "They are real ghosts."
"What!?" Yi Yun was alarmed. "Doesn't that mean they are dead?"
"You could say that. I heard of rumors of a Ghost race universe. It is a universe with completely different set of Heavenly Dao rules from the Sinkhole. In the Sinkhole, a warrior's spirit would dissipate after death. Unless they cultivated their souls to an extremely potent state, then they might be able to continue living. I'm an example, but the only one. A soul is ultimately a soul. They are still in their original world. Unless one uses possession or a heaven-defying cultivation technique like the Grand Reincarnation Technique, there is little that can be done.
"But in that universe, it's completely different. There's the netherworld, the underworld, and the nine springs! Even when a mortal dies, their souls would be retained.
