Ashton, in his newly acquired identity as Asmond, quickly realizes he has access to some kind of magical power. But wait, did humans in the Pokemon lore always have magical powers, if so why doesn't he remember ever having heard of such a thing.

Baby Tiragon asked "there's nothing wrong Baby Tiragon you just look cute everytime you sleep" I said "oh shucks you guys" said Baby Tiragon then he jumped on to his arm and walked up to my shoulder "wow you always do that?" Gamergirl asked "well to be honest Gamergirl I'm very attached him" said Baby Tiragon 

Suddenly the alarm went off "the alarm!" Darkstar shouted "someone is trespassing the hideout but who?" Tartar questions himself I looked at the camera footage "Tartar, Octavia bad news Yuma, Astral and No.96 are in the hideout I believe they want to duel me" I said Jack heard Yuma's voice "Find him Arnold must be defeated in a duel!" Yuma shouted "what should we do" said Creator. "Arnee, those three are looking for you. They want to duel you. So, if you want to duel... you can make them duel you" said Darkstar. "Darkstar, you got a point. Gamergirl, Darkstar let's go." Darkstar, Gamergirl and I then left the Panty Savages HQ and went off to find Yuma, Astral and No.96. 

Yuma, Astral and No.96 walked around the hideout looking for "he's not here!" said No.96. Darkstar, Gamergirl and I were right above them "unfortunately for me and Darkstar we don't have any duel disks on us, so you're the only one that has a duel disk" said Gamergirl "of course Gamergirl it's unfortunate that you two don't have a duel disk but it's okay you can watch from this rooftop" I said "So you only have Baby Tiragon... but if I remember correctly you make own Yu-Gi-Oh cards, right?" said Darkstar "yes Darkstar I did created my own Yu-Gi-Oh cards but I was just before I left and the Killswitch detonated I had the time to grab the legendary Earthbound Immortal Cards and made own version known as the Friendshipbound Immortals and Universebound Immortals also I found some custom Earthbound Immortal Cards to so I may have a chance" I said "that's good to hear but what's with 55 deck boxes around your belt?" Gamergirl asked "these deck boxes are connected to my duel disk also when I'm in a duel I can put an infinite amount of monsters on my field" I said 

They were amazed "you managed to find exploits nice Arnee anyway we'll watch the duel from the rooftop okay" said Darkstar after our conversation I looked at Yuma, Astral and No.96 at the same time my jacket like cape flies in the wind like a flag next I closed my eyes and combined my Agent 7 Diamond Cape with my Dark Gold and Yellow Jacket into a Agent 7 Dark Gold and Yellow Diamond Cape "there, now I'm ready" I said so with no time to waste I walked off the roof and glided down to the ground. "I hope Arnee knows what he's doing" said Gamergirl "same with me Gamergirl" said Darkstar. When I reached the ground I looked at Yuma, Astral & 96 talking about me "but it's impossible for Arnold to use Yu-Gi-Oh cards am I right?" Said Yuma

"Right it's time, I DRAW!" I shouted as I draw my first card "first I summon Yin-Yang, Keeper of Balance to the field" I look at Yin-Yang, Keeper of Balance was summoned to my field "when I successfully summoned Yin-Yang, Keep of Balance to the field I can add a Yin token to my field next I summon Thaumic Aqua in attack mode" I shouted I looked at Thaumic Aqua summoned summoned to my right *"nice I have 3 level 1 monster on my field Yin-Yang Keeper of Balance, Yin Token and Thaumic Aqua on the field I can Xyz summon one monster to my field so the only Xyz monster I have in my hand is Baby Tiragon, my favourite monster but are other monsters are in my hand are Stealthy Silverfish and Legendary Ender Dragon my two Pendulum monsters and not to mention my other level 1 monster toy soldier. You know what I'll Xyz summon Baby Tiragon and see what will I do"*  I said in my mind "right it's time now I overlay my level one Yin-Yang, Keeper of Balance, my level one Yin Token and my level one Thamuic Aqua my 3 level one monsters turned into light and went up into the air "with these monsters I build the overlaying network and Xyz summon, come to field my friend Baby Tiragon" I looked at Baby Tiragon appeared on my field "next I summon toy soldier to the field" I look at my toy soldier right next to Baby Tiragon "next I activate Baby Tiragon's special ability by sacrificing one overlay unit Baby Tiragon can control level one monster on my field and attack my opponent directly so I Baby Tiragon will control toy soldier, toy soldier has 1000 ATK and 260 DEF it's perfect for an ambush now Baby Tiragon and Toy Soldier attack Yuma directly!" I shouted   

Baby Tiragon leaped and my Toy Soldier attacked Yuma immediately "GAH! What, what just attacked me?" said Yuma then Baby Tiragon and Toy Soldier ran back to my field "just before I end my turn I'll put my level six Stealthy Silverfish and my level six Legendary Ender Dragon in the pendulum zones now, I end my turn YUMA IT'S YOUR MOVE!" I shouted. Yuma, 96 and Astral turned around to see me and my monsters Baby Tiragon and Toy Soldier in my monster zones while Stealthy Silverfish and Legendary Ender Dragon in my pendulum zones "no way he must somehow put his monsters in the pendulum scales and he Xyz Summoned a monster and used its special ability that's bad also he's using his own cards as well" said Astral "he actually did but I can do this right, he started his duel so I better use my duel disk so threw duel up in the air and began to transform next he put on his duel gazer "now I'm ready" said Yuma. Darkstar and Gamergirl looked at my field "wow he managed to Xyz summoned Baby Tiragon and put his two monsters on the pendulum scales and they are Stealthy Sliverfish and Legendary Ender Dragon and he damaged Yuma on his first turn that's what we like to see let's just hope that Arnee can win this duel" said Gamergirl "same with me" said Darkstar "it's my turn I draw" said Yuma as he draw his first card "first I summon Gaga Magician" I looked Gaga Magician on Yuma's field "then I'll put one card face down and end my turn it's your move Arnee" said Yuma I looked at my empty hand. 

 *"I have used my cards and they are all on the field but Yuma placed one card face down and I have a hunch that face down card would be the Half Unbreak trap card and according to the effect of Half Unbreak. Yuma can target one monster on the field and can't be destroyed in battle also any battle damage you take from that monster is halved, but I have one monster I created to negate Half Unbreak, this is it Arnee it's time to use my secret weapon"* I said in my mind I put my left hand in the air and Galeemic particles began to manifest around left hand "what the…" said Astral "it's time, a true and powerful duelist can change the outcome of a duel, he can generate the card that he needs to draw" Yuma remembers that phrase "wait a minute I say that phrase when I'm in zexal morph mode" said Yuma then looked at me and duel disk "Astral look, there's something different about Arnold's duel disk. Common duel disks have a holder areas for monster located at the top while spell and trap cards have a slot below it while deck is above it holding up to a maximum of 50 Yu-Gi-Oh cards and shows your life points, also the graveyard will be located at the side and not to mention the field spell container area right… but Arnold's duel disk is completely different to my duel disk but why?" Yuma asked himself "you looked surprised Yuma Tsukumo I created duel disk on my own first my duel disk can hold an infinite amount of cards, with my own duel disk in hand I can summon an infinite amount of monsters, pendulum monsters, spell and/or trap cards, unity, link, token, ritual, fusion, synchro, dark synchro and xyz monsters to my field." 

"Also I created this duel disk myself anyway it's time, let's go Galeemic Draw!" I shouted, Yuma saw me draw "no way, he actually put his deck below his duel disk, making his drawing flow a lot more easier and he said Galeemic Draw! That's new" said Astral I looked at my card *"instead of drawing out a monster card I drew out a spell card called Ability Negation… wait I know what Ability Negation does this spell card has the ability to destroy one spell or trap card from play if I destroy a spell card and I know the name of this spell card I can target one monster on my field put it in defence mode and increase it by 2000 defence points and target another monster, and increase it by 2500 attack points, but if I destroy a trap card and know that trap card I can target one monster on your field and destroy that said monster immediately and Yuma can get hit with 1000 points of damage while I heal up 1000 life points and since Yuma placed one card down has to be Half Unbreak well I better find out also he has 3100 life points. If I know the name of the trap card that is face down his life points will drop to 2100 life points"* I said in my mind. 

"Okay from my hand I play the spell card Ability Negation. This spell has the ability to destroy one spell or trap card from your field. If the card you face down is spell card and know that spell card I can target one monster on my field and put in defence mode and it's defence points by 2000 and increase one monster on field and increase it by 2500 attack points BUT if it's trap card and know that trap card I can destroy one monster on your field and get hit with 1000 points of damage while I increase my life points by 1000" Yuma, Astral and 96 were amazed to see a new spell card *"Ability Negation is a new spell card that Arnold drew out while using his Galeemic Draw ability. I put down Half Unbreak down but does Arnee know the name of this trap card?"* Yuma said in his mind "since you Yuma place one card place down I'll target that card that card you place down on your field is your trap card Half Unbreak!" I shouted Yuma's trap card revealed it to me "I knew it you place Half Unbreak face down so you when I attack your monster your monsters won't get destroyed and your damage gets cut in half" I said Yuma was amazed "no way he knew my card" said Yuma 

"Remember if it's trap card and I know the name of that said trap card Yuma, I can destroy one monster on your field and get hit with 1000 points of damage so I target your only monster on your field is Gaga Magician" I shouted I looked Gaga Magician gets destroyed and Yuma get's hit dropping his life points to 2100 while at my side light appeared above me and life points are increased to 5000 Astral was bit worried "Arnold's life points have been increased to 5000 he wasn't hurt at all this is bad" said Astral "for you Yuma anyway I'm not done with turn yet next I pendulum summon" Yuma looked up at the sky and saw the pendulum summon in full affect.Gamergirl and Darkstar looked to see my pendulum summon in full swing "you can do this Arnee" said Darkstar "I pendulum summon!" I said suddenly five monsters came down to my field "level three Inkling Squid, level four Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon and level three Galeemic Puppet Fighter Inkling, level four Sreeching Phantom and level ten Skyrimborn Dragon" I shouted Astral was amazed "he has seven monsters on his field" he said "since I have more than five monsters on my field my skill activates if I more than five monsters on my field I can draw seven cards from deck to my hand!" I shouted "wait his skill" said Yuma "yes Yuma my skill, now it's time to amaze you with my full power, now TWILIGHT DRAW!" I shouted.

Yuma was amazed "Twilight Draw! It's a mix of Shining Draw and Chaos Draw" said Yuma I looked at my hand "it's here my two ace monsters are here holding them on my hand it's time I activate my trap card Galeemic and Dharkonic Ritual if I have five monsters or more on my field I half of my monsters will used to summon my first ace monster while the other half will be used to summon my second monster so I'll use Baby Tiragon, Toy Soldier, Inkling Squid & Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon to summon my first ace monster. So I combined Baby Tiragon, Toy Soldier, Inkling Squid and Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon" I looked at Baby Tiragon, Toy Soldier, Inkling Squid and Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon combined as one "I Unity Summon… O mighty goddess of Light please hear me cry as the good and evil come together and fight as one now appear, GALEEM, GODDESS OF LIGHT!" Yuma looked up to see Galeem, Goddess of Light descending from the sky and floating above the field "10000 attack damage!" said Yuma "I'm not done next. I combine Galeemic Puppet Fighter Inkling, Sreeching Phantom and Skyrimborn Dragon in order to Unity Summon… Mighty god of chaos hear my voice I know you and Galeem fight each other but please come to me and rid all darkness to all to kingdom come now rise DHARKON, GOD OF CHAOS!" 

Suddenly Dharkon, God of Chaos, rises above the ground and moves to the field "what the… 20000 attack points, these are Arnold's ace monsters like I have never seen before!" said Astral "also if I have Galeem, Goddess of Light and Dharkon, God of Chaos in my field while Galeemic and Dharkonic Ritual was used I immediately win the duel" I said Yuma was amazed "wait Galeemic and Dharkonic Ritual is an instant win trap card?" said Yuma "yes it's over now Galeem & Dharkon attack Yuma directly with Galeemic and Dharkonic Slash!" I shouted.
Galeem, Goddess of Light and Dharkon, God of Chaos attacked Yuma directly dropping all of his life points to zero. 

Darkstar and Gamergirl were amazed "no way Arnee beat Yuma in three turns! Hmmm Galeemic and Dharkonic Ritual?" Darkstar asked himself "is there something wrong Darkstar?" Gamergirl asked "no there's nothing wrong Gamergirl I'm wondering about Arnold's instant win trap card Galeemic and Dharkonic Ritual if Arnee didn't customised his duel disk that instant win trap card won't work at remember Galeemic and Dharkonic Ritual only works if their five of more monsters on his field but Galeemic and Dharkonic Ritual won't work if put his monster on the opponent's field so that's why he customise his duel disk so he can you his instant win trap card" said Darkstar

I turned around to see Gamergirl and Darkstar "you come down now the duel is over" I said Gamergirl and Darkstar jumped down and I walked towards Yuma and Astral "No.96 must be inside Astral already, Yuma are you alright?" I asked "Astral and I are okay, what just happened?" Yuma asked "you , Astral and 96 we under Corona's spell" said Gamergirl "that's right Gamergirl, Corona launched Operation: Covid-19 Lethality and her goal is to recruit, train and gather her army forces and launch an invasion attack on Planet Earth while I in the other hand decided to launch Operation: Medical Frontlines and our goal is to stop Corona and save our friends and she strike Planet Earth on 23rd birthday of year 2025 {Sagittarius' Depression 25th 2025} so it will be Sagittarius' Depression 25th 2048" I said "I see but whats with your duel disk?" Astral asked "I made this duel disk myself usually most common duel disks have a interface for your monsters, spells, traps and pendulum zones… but since the cards I created require five or more monsters to summon to activate my instant win trap card Galeemic and Dharkonic Ritual and other useful spell and pendulum cards I also found that majority of monster cards have a level of 12 or more and the same thing applies with pendulum monster scales it's highest was 13 and that card was Supreme King Gate Infinity the one that Z-Arc used to summon Supreme King Z-Arc Dragon anyway there's no time waddle about we head back to the Panty Savages HQ and notify Commander Tartar about next mission" I said.

So Yuma, Astral, Darkstar, Gamergirl and I ran back to HQ, Back at in Octo Valley Corona saw Yuma defeated by me "NO! *slaps the table hard* dammit Arnold defeated Yuma in a duel, oh well besides I still have plenty of my forces still I must stop Arnold or else Operation: Covid-19 Lethality won't come to fruition" she said

Global Unity tells the events that happened after Emperor's Hidden Anger. But Corona took over Planet Harmony and she's planning to attack Planet Earth With Emperor and the Squid Sisters vanished it's up to Arnold and Creator stop Corona once and for all 

This story is referencing the infamous Covid-19 Pandemic that started on Jan 20th now 8 months have passed and the virus is ravaging Planet Earth to this day. But the medical teams are on the frontlines battling this virus and trying very hard to find a vaccine to eradicate Covid-19

Corona's plan known as Operation: Covid-19 Lethality was recruit, gather and train her army and destroy Planet Earth 
That would be similar to the people breaching quarantine rules and conditions 
 
Arnold's plan known as Operation: Medical Frontlines was to simply save the characters of Planet Harmony from the jaws of Corona
And that would be similar to medical teams and communities across Planet Earth work together to stop the Covid-19 virus

Alot of characters in this story are from TV shows, Games and likely movies but the setting takes place in Planet Harmony is located in the Friendship System in the constellation of Sagittarius located five thousand light years away from Planet Earth. The topography of Planet Harmony is similar to Planet Earth while cities are the pun versions while some cities have a different name.  

Also the protagonist will actually reunite with his big family {Panty Savages Gang, Hopeful Protection Shelter and Big Family} he has three different family bubbles and they are his Panty Savages Gang, the kids from Hopeful Protection Shelter and his big family and just a disclaimer, this story contains heavy sexual themes, coarse language and violence. You have been warned

[Turn 3 - Shark LP:4000 Hand:2, Blaster Blader LP:4000 Hand:3]

Shark was not intimidated as he faced down the duel bot that stood before him, its card combo of Buster Dragon and Buster Blader seemed very powerful but so long as Shark had his Numbers he was certain in his eventual victory.

"I draw!"

It was time to show this pile of scape metal just what..?!?!

"I activate the third ability of Buster Dragon! During my opponents turn I can equip one Buster Blader I control with a 'Destruction Sword' monster in my graveyard. So return Dragon Buster Destruction Sword!" interrupted the Destruction Swordsman.

From the grave rose once more the green jewelled blade, pulled from the ground by the might hand of the original Buster Blader.

"Like that will help! I summon <Lantern Shark> to the field! When this card is summoned I can then special summon a level 3, 4 or 5 water monster from my hand in defence, this includes my level 5 <Eagle Shark>!"

[Lantern Shark – Lv4 ATK:1500/DEF900, Eagle Shark – Lv5 ATK:1000/DEF:1800]

"Thanks to Lantern Sharks second ability, when this monster is used to Xyz summon a water monster then I can treat it as a level 3 or 5 monster. So with my Lantern Shark and Eagle Shark I now build the Overlay Network! Rise! Rank 5! Number 73: Abyss Splash!...."

Shark and his followers stood there silently, waiting for the formation of the familiar black vortex to consume Sharks monsters and give birth to his Number, but they were met with empty silence and clear space. Sharks monsters continued to sit on the field like guppies before the whale that was Buster Blader.

"Dragon Buster Destruction Swords second effect, So long as it is equipped to a monster, my opponent cannot Special summon monsters from the Extra Deck. This includes all Fusion, Synchro and Xyz monster." The Duel bot explained the failure of Sharks Xyz summoning.

This meant that so long as that card was on its Buster Blader, Shark had no way of summoning the Numbers cards his deck relied on.

For a moment Sharks vision shook and the sight before him changed once more, the armoured warrior he was facing replace by a figure in golden armour, with pale teal skin, his heterochromic eyes seemed to look upon Shark with scorn.

Eliphas...

The strange and unfamiliar name seemed to echo in Sharks head before fading away along with the vision before him, leaving behind a strange feeling of hate and beneath that… fear.

"I am not afraid of you, or anything!" Shark cried out in anger as his new monsters had their type transformed to Dragon and further boosted Buster Bladers attack by 1000.

The power within him beginning to furiously churn and burn inside. He felt it rising, almost overflowing along side his determination to win. Nothing would stop him. Not Faker, not Kite, not the Numbers, not even Drake! And certainly not some stupid visions.

"I switch Number 47 into attack mode!...."

While Shark was duelling against the guardian of the Dragons Throne Room, Drake found himself at a loose end in a staff rest room at the Maze of the Minotaur. It wasn't that he was not concerned about the current status of his fried duel disk, it was because the matter was in hands far better suited for the task than his at the moment.

His Duel disk lay on the table in the centre of the room in a partially dismantled state, around it had gathered an assortment of duel monster spirits Drake had materialised to help him. The first two, Kozaky and the Magical Scientist, were two genius monster scientists which were tasked with understanding and fixing the hardware of Dr Fakers Duel Disk.

Kozaky adjusted his square spectacles before moving a stray lock of his black hair behind his pointed ears. Rows of spikes along his back jutted through his white overcoat which struggled to contain his purple body as the monster reached into its jeans for a screw driver to pass to its fellow scientist.

The Magical Scientist looked quite ordinary as he accepted the offered tool without pause as he examined a particular sphere of black metal through his thick round glasses. He was more use to biological experimentation but he had experience with cybernetics and robotics which was useful here. 

The two long-time friends were total absorbed in the study of the mechanisms before them, as three others worked behind them on the disk's software.

SPYRAL Quik-Fix, the cyber spy/hacker was being assisted by two advance digital life forms from the Cyberse series of monsters. The multi-talented 'Cyberse Gadget' and computer like 'Defect Compiler'. Between these five monsters Drake was confident they all the skills need for the job at hand.

Which left Drake nothing to do but ponder the mysteries of Duel Spirits, and from there Duel Energy, as he ate a packed lunch that Yuma's Grandmother had prepared.

He had already eaten before entering the maze but had since had a gruelling Shadow duel and was now supporting the form of five duel spirits with his personal Duel Energy, so he needed to keep his strength up as he had no intention of depleting the duel energy he and Critias had stored up on something so trivial.

Duel Energy, Duel power, Spirit energy, Life Force… it was known by so many different names and had so many wonderful or terrible uses, yet so few people would ever touch it in their lives. It could summon monsters, cast spells, imprison souls and commune with other worlds to list but a few uses.

It was such a strange power, a power that could be harnessed through the ritual of duelling and was strongly influenced by the will and emotions of users, becoming anything from a blazing beacon of hope that could inspire miracles, to an all consuming darkness that dragged souls to the depths of despair.

Apart from a few natural talents, those geniuses that only appear once or twice every few hundred years, most humans needed a medium to connect with the power held within themselves. Mediums like the Millenium Items, The Seal of Orichalcos or contracts with powerful Spirit beasts like the Crimson Dragon or the Number Cards. And in Drakes case it was obviously the power of the Legendary Dragons, the power of Critias. While someone like Shark awakened a special bloodline that was beyond human.

Some mediums had special abilities that amplified one's own energy while others were a source of power themselves that far surpassed what a mere human like Drake naturally possessed, if not for his connection to Critias then Drakes power would not even be a quarter of what it currently was.

But in truth, even enhanced by Critias Drakes own personal power was still very weak when compared to someone like the Pharaoh without even considering the added benefits the Millenium Puzzle would provide.

Summoning these five duel monsters was a strain to Drakes drained personal energy at the moment but it was still manageable. This was because the five monsters were all relatively weak and Drake did not need them for combat, summoning a single Blue-Eyes White Dragon would have used only slightly less energy than it had required to summon the five monsters before him now.

If it was an emergency then Critias could have lent its own energy through their bond but although Critias had been awakened for some time, and in his normal state possessed hundreds of times more energy than Drake did, in truth its own energy was still terribly low at the moment after crossing worlds and then later fighting the projection of the Orichalcos Beast. It needed to conserve and recover its own personal duel energy as much as possible which took time, which was why it slept so much in Drakes inner world.

There was always the option of using the duel energy they had collected through their duels and was stored in the Mirror of Critias, but that was the final resort, that supply of energy was far more potent, more concentrated and refined than normal Duel Energy. While its volume seemed much smaller compared next to Drakes power, its quality meant the energy within dwarfed what was available to Drake on his own by dozen of times.

However, this pure energy could only be renewed through duelling, it was a expendable resource compared to Drakes own energy that could replenish itself.

As for why Drake didn't simply slowly refine his own duel energy and store it over time, the reason was simple. He couldn't. To refine Duel energy like that, one had to process it with their own duel energy, if the two energy's were too similar then the energy meant to be refined would just be absorbed by the refining energy instead.

Usually a persons energy would contain characteristics of the world they were born from, especially in extreme cases like the Astral and Barian Worlds where their duel energy had reach a higher level. So, as Drake and Critias were beings of different worlds they should have different types of duel energy, but due to his bond with Critias, Drakes power had instead taken on the same form/attributes/wavelength as the dragons own. They were basically the same even though Critias capacity was overwhelmingly greater.

So Critias could not refine his own energy and he could not refine Drakes. Which is why they had to gather and refine Duel energy released in their duels against others in this world.

Ever since Astral had taken up residence with Yuma in Drakes inner world he had considered asking them to donate energy for refinement, but Yuma's soul needed all the energy it could get to remain stable without his own body to support it over this long period of time. And at Astrals request Drake had strengthened the bond between the two of them so that Astral could share his energy and support Yuma.

So Drake dare not take any energy from Astral at this point either.

"Fascinating!" Kozaky interrupted Drakes thoughts as he studied a particular piece of the equipment in front of him.

After Kozaky told Drake what the two scientists had found so far Drake didn't find it fascinating at all, instead he found it frightening.

Looking past the standard shell and the usual electronic components any duel disk would require to properly operate, many of these parts could be told apart from the custom components by the Paragon Industries logo they were marked with, what was underneath that was something completely outrageous.

Drake refused to believe for a moment that every duel disk in this WDC was as twisted as his own turned out to be. Apart from the various forms of analytical equipment hidden inside which had been built to do a comprehensive analysis on Drake deck and even on Drake himself, which Drake had been expecting and was not surprised by, the Duel disk also contained a number of more… lethal options.

The two scientists were agreed that Drakes Duel Disk was fully capable of channelling enough electrical current into Drake to kill a herd of elephants, its audio system could double as a sonic weapon that could scramble his brains within seconds and there was even a clever injection system ready to pump several vicious poisons into Drakes veins.

Drake wasn't sure if even his dragon made body could handle any of these treatments, let alone all of them together.

And to power all of this murderous hardware?

A small Baria Crystal. The small, crimson crystal of Barian energy glittered from within the duel disk as the Magical Scientist opened up a small black sphere placed in the heart of the device. This crystal was not only acting as this duel disks battery, it was also the source of yet another lethal trap.

While SPYRAL Quik-Fix was still in the middle of debugging the corrupted code in the Duel disk, one thing he had already found was part of a self-destruct program which would force the crystal to implode.

Considering the concentrated energy contain in the crystal, such an implosion would easily level a city block. The thought made Drake shiver in fear.

If Drake didn't have Astral and his Number cards would Faker have even allowed him to compete in this WDC second round? Or would he have simple eliminated him when he put on the duel disk? Looking at the black sphere that housed the crystal Drake wondered just what kind of shielding it was that this madman had used to prevent even Drake from realising that such a potent power source was concealed within his duel disk?

Wait… a power source… a Baria crystal was basically a condensed form of energy from Barian World, a form of impure Chaos energy, which was a higher form of duel energy itself. Which was why the Mirror of Critias could use it to create cards. Chaos energy like what he had absorbed in the Nexus. In which case… what was the saying again? About turning misfortune into blessings.

"ARGH!" Cried Shark as his Xyz Slidolphin was blasted to bits by his opponents own avatar, Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman!

[BBDDS ATK:4800 > XyzS DEF:1800]

[Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman ATK:4100 > 3100]

If not for his trap card <Spirit Barrier> then Sharks 2400 life points would have been wiped out by his opponents penetrating attack just now.

Since the duel bot he was facing had sealed his Xyz summoning, things had gone from bad to worse. Shark had tried to counter attack with his Nightmare Sharks ability for a direct attack, but it had block one attack with Negate Attack and on the sixth turn it had fusion summoned out that Dragon Destroying Swordsman, its abilities not only gave it a 1000 attack for each dragon Shark had (Which was all monsters he had on the field thanks to Buster Dragons effect), but it also forced all Sharks dragonized monsters into defence and prevent them from activating their special abilities.

Together with its ability to deal penetrating damage against a defence position monster, it was only luck that Shark had managed to draw his Spirit Barrier in his next turn to save himself. Spirit Barrier meant that so long as he controlled a monster then his opponent could not inflict any battle damage to him, and because Nightmare Shark was a Number it couldn't be destroyed in battle except against another Number.

But as dire as the situation was, Sharks blood was racing. His power pulsed along with the beating of his heart, seeking some kind of release. Flashes of battles long over and forgotten to the mists of time flashed across his mind as he could hear the voice of Number 32 crying in his soul. Destroy, destroy! DESTROY!

Yes! He must destroy all his enemies!

[Turn 9 – Shark LP:2400 Hand:1, Buster Blader LP:2000 Hand:3]

"I draw!" Shark roared to the cheers of his followers.

Thing may have looked bad but Sharks energy and drive inspired confidence in them even now.

"I activate my <Cosmic Cyclone>! By paying 1000 life points I banish your equipped Destruction Sword."

[Shark LP > 1400]

The galactic winds blasted out from above them and pulled the sword from Dragon Destroyer Swordsman hand and tossed it into the void. With it gone, so was the seal on Sharks Extra Deck.

"Next I activate from my graveyard <Xyz Revive Splash>! With my Rank 3 Number 47: Nightmare Shark I rebuild the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon Rank 4! Number 32: Shark Drake!"

Shark actually had to thank the stupid bot for sending this trap card to the grave several turns ago. This allowed Shark to summon his Crimson Hunter to the field, and with this card he would destroy anyone or anything that stood in his way!

"I then activate Xyz Slidolphins effect in the grave to attach it to Shark Drake as an Overlay Unit."

Sharks power was rising, overflowing, it demanded to be released and Shark had the perfect card to do just that.

"And lastly, prepare to face a terror like no other! I activate <Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force>!"

The Legendary Dragons and the Pharaoh have defeated the Great Leviathan, they have won the battle against the Orichalcos. But the war goes on. Join Drake, a new Duellist chosen by the Dragons as they continue the fight across dimensions in a new world with allies both familiar and strange. 

The Dragons rise so that the Orichalcos will fall.

"Ahahah, this monster shows your defeat!" Then I attack with my monster directly your life points! Go Trishula, Surf Glacier! "

I turned my attention to my cards and continued my duel.

"Then I invoke [Royal Guard of the Dragon]!"

"I'm going to the [Legendary White Stone] cemetery, and if that card is sent to the Graveyard, I can add 1" Blue Eyed Blue Dragon "from my Deck to my hand."

I added to my hand a [Blue-eyed White Dragon].

In my hand, I have a [Blue-eyed White Dragon] and another monster that will allow me to conclude this duel.

Bright saw the Genesis monster inflicting 2000 damage to him reducing his life points to 2000. He then watched the legendary [Blue-Eyes White Dragon] that was yet to attack.

"Now, [Blue-Eyes White Dragon] ends with Burst Stream of Destruction!" I shouted. I thought it was great.

The dragon charged a destructive attack that he cast on Bright and took away his last 2000 life points.

Bright's runner duel stopped and the duel ended.

Bright stopped on the side of the road in an isolated area and I turned to join him.

When I stopped at his side, he looked at me and told me.

"You are strong, too strong, but I want to know, or did you find the blue-eyed white dragon, they were lost after the death of the legendary Seto Kaiba 200 years ago."

Looking at Bright's interrogative eyes, I smile and start my motorcycle to shout at the wind, "I'll let you guess!"

After this duel, I went home and I wanted to see when the plot begins.

After returning home and having a shower, I went on the net and I remembered that at the beginning of the plot, Jack Atlas were still champion.

While searching I discovered that Jack Atlas is champion and that he will face a certain Hunter at Kaiba Dome in 4 days. Upon learning this, I decided to go see his match, because I had already seen several times on screen but I have the chance to see him in the flesh.

After reviewing the timeline, I decided to sleep and continue walking around town waiting for the duel at Kaiba Dome.

It was now the year 2300 and technology was in the absolute golden age, and with the evolution of technology many decades ago, the once fictional game of Duel Monsters have come to life in the world and have become the norm within society as duelists are common now and duels can be seen everywhere.

In this era of duelists, a certain young man holds the power of a deck that none other does. The cards were forged by his father who had perished from unknown means, handing the cards down to him when his life came to an end.

"Dad, what are these cards...?"

"Listen to me, Minato. You cannot let these cards out of your hands, no matter the consequences...."

"D-Dad?"

Those were the words left by his father when he passed on, and Minato never truly knew what was so special about the cards he owned. Yes, they were immensely powerful, but what other mysteries hide within them? Does he even truly want to know?

That is for another time though. Minato's life only gets stranger when he finds himself awakening to an unfamiliar voice that requests his assistance in preventing a certain group of individuals from attaining a certain key from different points across many worlds.

Chapter 1
Trends come and trends go, what is popular today, will not be popular tomorrow, that is just the rule of these things. Humans by nature, at least in this day and age are fickle creatures, always needing to be entertained. What will sate their appetite for a few days they will eventually grow bored and disillusioned with.
Or so I would have liked to believe.until a man named Pegasus J. Crawford, more commonly known as Maximillion Pegasus, the owner of Industrial Illusions came and brutally tore apart that part of reality with his creation of Duel Monsters.
What are Duel Monsters? Well if one were to ask me, I have to first ask you which remote place far from society and other humans did you spend the majority of your life and second would it be possible for me to move there?
If however you were to insist on me actually answering your question, then I would say it is a rather ingenious and exploitative way of making money off of your consumers. Yes, consumers, not just children, did you hear that? Even grown adults spend this game, spending their hard earned money on themselves and their children. Maximillion Pegasus struck gold, I can almost bet that the white haired bastard has pools of cash which he no doubt swims in, along with the pools of tears of the kids and adults who wasted money on pointless card booster packs and never got that one card they needed.
Duel Monsters have also gone beyond just being a card game, it has infected society itself, now people can be popular based on the amount and more specifically the type of Duel Monsters they have collected. Also, your prowess with Duel Monsters is able to affect how popular you are. Say if you were an average high school student, you had average all-round grades, nothing too special. With Duel Monsters, add in that you have a a few rare cards or an impressive card collection or just that you were a good duelist, then you could become popular with your peers.
This however is a double-edged sword, say you have an impressive collection of cards, this will also invoke the envy of those who don't have those cards, due to being unlucky or having parents like mine who rarely get them anything. Will these peers of theirs gawk and fawn over them? Well in my case I don't but in most cases they do. Which results in being given the attention that they desire from people who secretly despise them. And that is just the best case scenario as many of your peers will desire to take your rare cards, and collection from you.
You are good Duelist? Then people will constantly challenge you, to beat you and prove they are better, winning in this situation will only feed your ego and make your duelist complex even worse. And when you are eventually defeated the scorn and shame you will receive from your so-called friends will show you how fake they were to begin with. This will no doubt lead to an obsession with winning being developed, if that obsession was not already there in the first place.
Such obsessions are unhealthy as it will lead said person to do anything to win to regain or keep what they consider their 'glory' all over a card game.
What is worse is that Duels have gotten so popular that I hear they plan to make it a career, like a sport. A card game made over a professional sport, what is worse is that there is a demand for that? Just look around and you will find people watching duels with interest even outside of schools.
And what type of people will this professional dueling attract? the very same 'good duelists' who have developed an obsession with winning, only this time they are not just getting recognition but money too. They are being validated for their unhealthy obsession and society only makes it worse.
To all people who love and obsess over Duel Monsters, please go die.​

Pegasus J. Crawford or as he was more commonly known Maximillion Pegasus looked at the letter and wondered exactly what kind of person Hikigaya Hachiman was. "Why I do believe someone must have mixed up the mail, this definitely isn't fan mail" he commented.
Now the Owner of Industrial Illusions wasn't unaware that they were those out there who despised him, in fact he was accustomed to receiving both fan and hate mail from people. But receiving the tail end of a student exam, that was new. It was clear that whoever this Hikigaya boy was, he never intended for Pegasus to read his words. Which meant someone else had gotten their hands on this exam and had thought it would be funny to mail it to him.
"Should I write the boy a reply, I usually do so with my fan mail" Pegasus pondered for a moment before an idea came to him.
Picking up his personal phone that was on his desk Pegasus dialed for one of his assistants. "Could you please find the address of Hikigaya Hachiman?"Pegasus waited briefly while his assistant on the other end of the line clarified what he had just asked.
"More fan mail, I'm afraid" Pegasus replied hearing the slight groan on the other end of the line "Yes, I am going to write him a reply, I do take time to reply to all of them you know."
Pegasus now paused as his assistant questioned him a little more.
"No" he replied "this is a far more recent one and one I must answer posthaste" Pegasus explained. "I actually think this one warrants a retain gift, a nice surprise as you could say.
Again Pegasus paused as his assistant asked a few more questions "no, not flowers, I am going to send him a card or two. Nice and rare cards to brighten his day, as Hikigaya-boy certainly needs it."
It seemed that Pegasus's assistant on the other end was protesting his decision, since you couldn't just send out rare cards by mail randomly.
"Why ever not?" Pegasus questions with faux surprise "I am certain he will just love it to pieces." After voicing a few more concerns the assistant caved in and said they would start right away before waiting ending the call.
With that done Pegasus got out a paper and decided to pull out a quill, only fitting that he give his reply 100% of his effort. As he was writing Pegasus mused "I wonder how you are going to react to this Hikigaya-boy?"
