A ripping sound was heard when Adrian removed the fake mustache below his nose. He exercised his mouth in front of a mirror, then threw the mustache away before keeping the windbreaker, the glasses, and the wide brim hat in his small suitcase. After adjusting his clothes in the mirror, he left the washroom. With that, a bloated man in a big windbreaker transformed into a handsome young man in a suit.
Adrian took a look around after leaving the mall, then left in his car that was parked along the street. The reason he disguised himself at the detective agency was mainly due to what would happen in the future, and he did not want the private detective to figure it out. Perhaps it would not affect him in a bad way, but it would still be hidden trouble, thus it was best to handle everything perfectly. Besides, disguising was an easy thing to do.
With that, all he could do now was to wait. Since Dean Wilson had his own way of finding people, and the clues provided were sufficient and clear, he should be able to find that woman.
Initially, Adrian wanted to provide more clues since he came across a lot of information about JK Rowling in his past life, but he mostly just glanced through them. Although he could remember everything he read, it was easier to recall those that he was more familiar with, whereas it was tougher to recall those he had only glanced at, which would require a long time to remember them. He began recollecting them a few days ago, but after a lot of effort, the most useful pieces of information he obtained were her birth date and that she graduated from the University of Exeter.
'That's enough for now. Since I have a few more years, I'll just let Dean take his time. For all I know, I might remember something more about her too,' Adrian thought to himself as he drove. He initially had the thought of copying the 'Harry Potter' series too, but he eventually dropped the idea because it was too difficult to handle.
Firstly, he was an American at the moment. It would be fine if he were to shoot British-styled films, but if he were to write seven British-styled novels, he would not be able to predict how the British people would feel about it. As such, it was best not to do it.
'What? What if the setting is changed to America? Alright, if a school castle of witchcraft and wizardry with a history of over 1000 years were to tower on a vast plain in Minnesota… Wait, is it really going to be a school of witchcraft and wizardry that teaches magic, not a native American shaman school that teaches sorcery?'
'Alright, let's try another perspective. More than 300 years ago, a group of wizards traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to America, and built a school of witchcraft and wizardry in a forest in Maryland… Wait, if Nicolas Flamel can live for 600 years, it doesn't make sense that the four founders have a shorter life than him, right? Okay, I'll neglect their age, and assume that their lives are slightly longer than normal people, but if there are already two devils and two wars in the span of 300 years, which parent will be willing to send their children to the school?'
Adrian could not be bothered to do something that would be a pain in the neck. Moreover, he was not a professional writer, and it would also not be worth it if he were to have co-writers like the other three novels he had. Most importantly, he was more familiar with the film and the script, whereas he only read a few of the novels in the series, let alone the original version that was written.
It was best to let Rowling write them herself. Additionally, it was not easy being a single mother—this had nothing to do with Adrian being a hypocrite, because it was simply one of the things he wanted to do since he had the chance to be reborn, and he felt that he might as well jump off the Golden Gate Bridge if he dared not do this.
All in all, it would be fine as long as Adrian could be the first to get the novels' adaptation rights, or he could also get someone else to write them since it would not be too late. It was not a billion dollars Rowling earned from the series that he valued, because if everything were to go smoothly in the future, he could earn more than that amount. Instead, he valued the industrial chain that was a result of the series—games, films, related products, and theme parks! They would complement his media company greatly.
He rested for a while after returning to the hotel he was staying at, then dialed a number on his phone. "Hey, my love, guess where I am now?"
"You're in London?" Kate was surprised. "No wonder my sister was smiling at me like that when she asked me to pick up the phone."
"Is that so? She didn't recognize my voice at all." Adrian teased as he pulled his tie downward. "Clearly, she did it on purpose, so you must punish her."
"Forget it, she's my sister." Kate sighed on purpose, then asked, "Are you done filming your new film? I remember you saying that it'll take at least two months, and it might be longer."
"Of course I'm done with it, I only spent roughly 7 weeks. Aren't you familiar with how I do things?" Adrian laughed. "Don't you want me to finish earlier so that I can come see you as soon as possible?"
The two of them conversed for some time on the phone until Kate sighed again. "Oh, I'm sorry, Eddy. I'm afraid that I won't be free for a few days because I have a few exams in school."
"It's alright, I have something to handle in London too," Adrian responded smilingly. "When you graduate in a few days, you won't get to leave me."
"Are you so confident?" Kate sounded rather hostile.
"Yes." Adrian was unconcerned.
"We'll see then. I'm going to read, goodbye." Kate scoffed, then hung up.
On the other hand, Adrian shook his head and chuckled. He looked through some documents for a while, then called someone else. Entrusting a private detective to locate Rowling was only a part of his plan, which would only be complete if the other part was done too.

"There shouldn't be a problem, Mr. Adrian. The information provided is very detailed, so we'll just have to go through the formalities at the related departments tomorrow," A man who was sitting on a couch mentioned after looking through some documents.
"Thank you, Chris. This couldn't have been sorted so quickly without your help, and I must say that Brent recommended a good lawyer to me." Adrian smiled and nodded.
"I'll bring the documents to the study, so please wait for a while." Chris stood up.
"Alright, no problem." Adrian watched him leave, then began pondering after he lifted his cup of coffee.
Adrian was currently establishing a benevolent fund for single mothers, and the reason behind this was very clear. It would not matter even if he could not find Rowling, and he would simply take this as an act of charity. In any case, it was extremely common for wealthy people in western countries to be involved in charity whether it was a sincere act or not because it was very helpful in shaping one's image, and charity dinners were also important events for socializing.
Therefore, before Adrian arrived in London, he made some arrangements through Waddell Brent, a British film producer connected with Bosworth Film Company who had also worked with him during his first film production—he was also the one who introduced him to Dean, the private investigator.
'My plan should be foolproof now. Although so much has to be done, the industrial chain will be worth it,' Adrian thought to himself, then turned to look at the other side of the long couch. A pair of bright eyes were looking curiously at him from behind the armrest.
They belonged to a little girl who was roughly 2 years old. She had slightly wavy long brown hair that was tied into a ponytail, and her chubby face made her look extremely adorable. Adrian smiled at her as he recognized that she was Chris' daughter, and he saw her a few times before, but only caught a glimpse of her.
Unfortunately, she did not seem to appreciate his friendliness, thus she stuck her tongue out and made a silly face at him.
Adrian shook his head and chuckled. It was then when a woman's voice was heard coming from outside the living room. "Baby girl, where are you?"
Before the little girl could reply to her, a young woman appeared at the living room entrance and was looking at her angrily. "How many times have I told you not to cause trouble when daddy has a guest?"
The woman later looked at Adrian apologetically. "I'm sorry, Mr. Adrian. I hope that the little fella didn't disturb you."
"It's okay, Madam Jacqueline, we finished our business already." Adrian stood up, then looked at the little girl who was running toward her mom. "Your daughter's adorable."
"Yes, she is, but she's also very playful. She likes giving us trouble." Even though the woman said so, it was clear through her smile that she doted on her daughter. "Have you greeted our guest, Emma?"
The little girl blinked her eyes at Adrian for some time without saying a word, then Adrian adjusted his collar, and reached his hand out to her as though he was really socializing with someone. "Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Emma."
However, the little girl looked away and buried her head into her mom's shoulders.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Adrian, the little fella's quite… Shy," Jacqueline explained helplessly.
"It's okay, it's normal for ladies to be shy," Adrian replied casually.
Chris walked out of his study at that moment. He was slightly startled when he saw what was going on in the living room, then he handed a document to Adrian. "This is another document that you need, and if everything is okay, please sign at the bottom. Remember to bring it along tomorrow, and my wife and I will meet you at the firm at 9 o'clock in the morning."
"Great, this will be done more efficiently with Jacqueline's help." Adrian nodded. Chris' wife, Jacqueline, was also an incredible lawyer. It was exactly because of the both of them that Adrian was able to settle everything so well in just a few days.
After skimming through the new document, he signed it, then bid them farewell. "That's all then. I'll be leaving now, see you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow." The husband and wife sent him to the door, and the little girl who had been watching everything curiously suddenly made a silly face at him again. They all laughed.
"It's actually her way of expressing her liking toward you," Chris tried to explain for his daughter.
"I understand." Adrian walked out with a smile.

The end of the 20th century proved a difficult period for Russian literature, with relatively few distinct voices. Among the most discussed authors of this period were Victor Pelevin, who gained popularity with first short stories and then novels, novelist and playwright Vladimir Sorokin, and the poet Dmitry Prigov. A relatively new trend in Russian literature is that female short story writers Tatyana Tolstaya or Lyudmila Petrushevskaya, and novelists Lyudmila Ulitskaya or Dina Rubina have come into prominence. The tradition of the classic Russian novel continues with such authors as Mikhail Shishkin and Vasily Aksyonov.

Detective stories and thrillers have proven a very successful genre of new Russian literature: in the 1990s serial detective novels by Alexandra Marinina, Polina Dashkova and Darya Dontsovawere published in millions of copies. In the next decade Boris Akunin who wrote more sophisticated popular fiction, e.g. a series of novels about the 19th century sleuth Erast Fandorin, was eagerly read across the country.

Science fiction was always well selling, albeit second to fantasy, that was relatively new to Russian readers. Russian poetry of that period produced a number of avant-garde greats. The two young couple made their way to the ballroom. My sister, Anna, clung unto the arms of her husband, Tobias Goldenrod, frightened of the looks of the detective and his assistant. He demeanor is of a child since birth and even until know I and my family are uncertain if this has something to do with her mentality.
Her voice is similar to a knife being scratched on a wooden board. She is an alcoholic woman who can't get enough of wines and her favorite drug, Modanfinil.  This drug makes the user stay awake and alert for up to twelve hours. Many called her a crazy and retarded woman but she does not mind them.
Her husband, Tobias Goldenrod was once a captain of the navy. He was the only one who was interested at my sister despite her weird and unusual actions. He is the quiet type, flustered and angered once disturbed.
"Good evening detective." Anna greeted with her eyes squinted, moving hear head sideways while clinging to the arm of her husband.
"You've been drinking?" Luther assumed.
"Yes. Is, there anything wrong with that?" she questioned sarcastically, in a childish manner. Wulfric couldn't stand the breathe of my sister. She was obviously drunk.
"Alcohol interferes with the brain's communication pathways and can affect the brain looks and works. These disruptions can change mood and behavior, and making it harder to think clearly and move with coordination.
If I were you, I'd change my habits before your actions reflect your future."
"But don't you drink as well? Tee-hee, every detective does like the ones in the movies and cinemas right darling?" she told the detective while playing with the chin of her husband. In response, Tobias nodded his head.
"What kind of gobbledygook is this?! Not all detectives are alcoholic. This is not some sort of movie or novel like the books your brother wrote!" Wulfric disputed.
"Alcohol is the ticket for letting me ride on the crest of the waves!" she swirled her head while talking to Wulfric and Luther.
"You are nothing like what Luis said. Is it true you're a bookworm?" Luther inquired.
"Indeed I am. One point for the assistant, zero for the detective. I read my brother's books and oh are they a thrill! Why do you think I take Modanfinil? I keep myself awake just to read his murder mystery novels." Anna answered.
She also added, "Blood, knives, gun, they all pique my interest. It makes me laugh. One of my favorite books is his "Foul Play" novel. It was about a sister who tormented her brother because of jealousy. The ending oh, I remember it. The sister committed suicide after feeling guilty and the detective? He knew it was the sister all along but covered up for her since he has a secret affair with her. Sometimes detectives do not do their job properly."
Wulfric leaned his head forward and looked at the Anna's eyes. He murmured and said, "Let us twist his story shall we? Is there by any chance you are that jealous sister who tormented Felix? Of course a drunk woman like you would never feel guilty and a man like me would never have a secret relationship with you."
"Ding! Ding! The crowd goes wild! The detective scores one point, evenly matched with his assistant. Oh my, you knew it already? I was jealous of my brother Felix. You're something else detective. Though, I did not kill him."
"You were not responsible for his death?"
"Two points for the assistant!" she said with exuberance. She then continued with a lower tone, "My, oh my. I would I kill my big brother? I enjoy his novels and with him gone? What else can I read?
I arrived here at around nine with my dear husband Tobias since I wanted to read some of Felix's novels. I went to the library and there, you know what happened next. If you want, I can show you the book I was reading."
"Please do." said, Luther.
"Vamos!" Anna stood up from her chair with Tobias as they led the way to the library. On their way to the library she stumbled countless of times, luckily Tobias was there to pick her up. She was also noisy, spoiling the plot of my best-selling murder mystery novels which annoyed the hell out of Wulfric. He tried his best to withstand it despite the noise surpassing his ear's thresholds.
In the library are swirls of bookshelves. Everything is Victorian-themed, floors are made out of wood, varnished to the point one can see his or her own reflection. Chandeliers hang above, extending their orange hues. There were also small desks for me, my wife, and for the children we dreamt of.
There she showed a novel entitled, "Sun in the Night Sky" it was one of my best novels ever to be written though I thought of it as a disappointment since I knew I could make the denouement better than the cliché happy ending.
Anna gladly handed over the book to the detective and he was attracted by the book cover. While Wulfric observed the book, his assistant walked around the library since he was not fond of fiction nor did he ever become one of my fans.
"The title is catchy isn't it? I won't spoil it for you, but if you want to, you can read it. I'm already in the denouement and it's obvious how the story is about to end. You can also try to-"
"Wulfric! I found something in the trash bin!" Luther buzzed, grabbing the attention of the three. Interested, Wulfric, Anna, and Tobias decided to follow Luther. At the trash bin they saw magazines, all ripped and torn into pieces as if someone used a scissor to cut the pages.
"Bingo." said, the detective as he took out one of the magazines from the bin. He added, "The murderer left another crumb. This must be where the cut out letters came from, from the magazine itself. This means, the murderer commenced his scheme upon his or her arrival here."
He then looked to my sister and asked, "Is there by any chance someone else was with you here in the library?"
"No. Just me and my darling, that is all. I know who owns the magazines however. See that little cute signature? That belongs to my- I mean our, uncle Vladimir."
"So Vladimir owns it? Thank you for your time. Luther escort the two of them back to the living room and bring Vladimir to the library. I can feel it, we're near the crescendo!" Wulfric beamed with exuberance.
"Right away, detective!" Luther smiled and directed the lovebirds to follow him.

Now, before I start...--I'm pretty sure many of you have wished to change the plot settings of your favorite anime/manga/light novels.

Am I right? 

For example, some people hated Naruto in the beginning because of his character throughout the series. His favorite Talk-No-Jutsu employed with nearly every single enemy he faces pisses some people off, especially the parts where he somehow manages to convince them to turn good.

Lets give a few more examples. 

Now, I have never really read the SAO series but I was told that in episode 24 of the anime, Asuna was nearly raped by Oberon. This actually left some readers feeling disgusted and there were a few other 'close to ****' scenes in the SAO light novel series as well.

In Boruto, people hated and still continue to actually hate the whole series. Although episode 65 of the anime, where Naruto and Sasuke combined their powers to defeat Momoshiki, was a success, it was still not enough to remove the displeasure people had in regards to the anime. Another reason for its' apparent hatred is the boring arcs that have been evident throughout the series and Boruto's character in general. Like his father, he constantly employs the Talk-No-Justu, which really irritates some people.

In Domestic Kanojo, readers did not enjoy the constant back and forth between Natsuo, Hina and Rui. Readers complained that the series was dragging too long and the introduction of certain new characters along the way only served to further deepen the irritation people have towards the manga.

Now imagine you were able to change the storyboard to your own liking. Wouldn't that be like...awesome? Well, that's the job I am currently employed to do.

The cab raced through the streets, the sounds of tires screaming.

It has been two weeks since I was notified that I had gotten the job and today was my very first day at work. The cab finally arrived at the office entrance of the building I was supposed to head to and I stepped out.

I took a deep breath, still in doubt that I had actually landed this job.

In case you have no idea what job I am currently talking about, well basically--My company is one which edits the storyboards of completed and ongoing manga/anime/light novel series produced by authors of various publication firms?

Now, you may be thinking. Why would such a company be needed? Well, that's because many publication companies wish to have a third person's perspectives on how the storyboard concept can be changed, where they will then improvise on our ideas to either come up with new stories or perhaps, alter the current one.

This has always been my dream, as I have read quite a number of anime and manga series, where I am not really pleased with the outcome of the results and the overall story-line. 


I took the lift and arrived at the 15th floor of the building. Stepping out, I headed towards the entrance of the one I was looking for

Opening the glass door, I was greeted by a young man, with white ashen hair, a clean cut face, sporting a neutral attire at the front counter desk.

When the man saw me, he smiled and instantly stood up, reaching for a handshake.

"Hi! You must be one of the new editors right? Welcome! Welcome! My name is Ayato and everyone calls me Ayato here."

He just said his name twice.

"Anyways, I'm sure you are eager to get started. Our manager is not here today but he has already arranged the desk and work for you. I will bring you to your desk now."

I was then led to a far corner of the office. As I looker around, I saw many other people, currently working on their anime/manga projects. 

I noticed a few common ones, such as One-Piece, Bleach and Detective Conan. 

Wait, Detective Conan? I thought that story was already really good.

Finally, I arrived at my desk and saw the piles of storyboards placed neatly in the centre.

Wow, thats a lot of stories. This manager sure wants to work me hard. 

Well, let's get started on the first one.


I then reached out for the first piece of paper placed on top of the pile.


The moment I saw the title, I thought--

Hou, this will be interesting.


I read the title in my mind.


Boruto: Naruto Next Generation

-Tokyo Metropolitan Police Departement-

"Mr. Harada!"

A 46 year old man with sparse stubble and a slightly unkempt appearance turned his head back when he heard someone shouting his name and found a young man in suit running after him.

"Hah... Hah..." The boy was almost out of breath when he reached the man named Harada.

"Hey, boy." He addressed the young detective who looked out of breath.

"Ck, I warned you not to run in the corridor." The senior detective rebuked the junior again.

"I'm not a kid, Mr. Harada! My name is Shota Takagi Please stop calling me boy." Protest the cute and baby-faced junior detective.

"Oh, is that so? Sure, boy." He said with a smile.

"Mr. Harada!" Shouted Shota.

"Okay, okay no offense. So, What in the world happened that made you run like that?"

"Oh, this is about the murder case that happened 3 days ago, in Nakano district." Shota replied as he pulled out some paper sheets from the large envelope he carried.

"We got a report about a suspicious person who was probably the suspect of this murder case." He continued, handing the document to a man named Noburo Harada.

"Hmm, if it's just this, leave it to That guy." Harada said, turning away with a yawn.

"Eh? That guy?" Shota asked rather confused.

"Yeah, That guy." Mr. Harada replied briefly.

"Do you mean that rich, tall, handsome (E/n : heck, I'm cringing adding that 😂) young Detective who is known as the 3-eyed genius?"

"Handsome? Genius? Hahaha ..." He asked  with a laugh.

Shota was rather confused with his senior reaction.

"Yes, yes, admittedly that just by seeing that person's look and appearance, he's pretty handsome, and if he's silent, then the handsome genius' nickname can be used. Unfortunately, he's weird."

"Weird?" Shota asked once more in confusion.

"You should have heard rumors about him. Yes, he is a genius and handsome guy that managed to solve many cases, but beyond that, he is also strange. He got extremely narcissistic nature to upset almost everyone in this department, especially those who have to work as his partners. In addition to narcissism, sometimes he talks about nonsensical and out of topic conversation. He likes to act casually and often do things out of command. Although his crazy ideas solved the cases successfully it ended up with myriad of punishment because he disobey superior's order. People said that geniuses are eccentric but this kid is a total weirdo."

"Ehhhhh ??? I just found out that he was like that." Shota's response seemed almost incongruous with the fact he heard.

"But sir, there's something I do not understand." He said with a little hesitation.

"Hm? What?" Mr. Harada asked.

"Ahhh ... About that, you should ask him directly." Harada replied lazily.

"Mr. Harada!" Shota angrily snarled at his senior's lazy attitude.

"Yeah, yeah. Even if you cry here I still won't be able to answer and comprehend how that madman think." Harada replied, looking helpless.

"And where is he now?" Shota asked again.

"Who knows? Maybe he was busy dancing while listening to music in his apartment. (E/n : cringe part 2) He always likes to look fashionable like a model rather than a detective that works at police department."

"But what about Mr. Harada, do you agree with that conclusion?"

"No." He answered shortly.

"Why?" Shota asked innocently.

Mr. Harada's steps halted and he once again looked at the young detective beside him.

Mr. Harada's gaze made Shota feel uncomfortable. He felt as though he had said something wrong!

Mr. Harada continued to stare at Shota for a bit.

"Baka!" [Stupid!] He mocked Shota.

Shota was stunned silence.

"It's true that that boy had sharp intuition, but I hope he's wrong this time!"

Shota just listened to his senior even though he was anxious to ask.

"Why? That's what's in your heart, right?" Guessed Mr. Harada.

"The answer is simple." He continued.

"If what he said was true, then Tokyo will be hit by a major disaster." He explained while looking at the blue sky from behind the window.

Mr. Harada then turned to look at Shota seriously.

"Do you understand what I mean?" He asked with a look that did not have the slightest impression of joking.

Shota got surprised by this senior's change. It was the first time he had seen Mr. Harada looking so serious. There was not the slightest bit of playful and lazy impression as usual .

"If all that has happened so far is a series of heinous and well-organized killing, then you know what the consequences are for us. There will be storms and great threats if that happen!"

The tense atmosphere and the words Mr. Harada said with his serious tone and expression made Shota nervous and scared. He gulped his saliva with a great of difficulty.

Just hearing the worst possibility, Shota already panicked. What else if all that really happened. Let alone that, thinking about and imagining it almost making him vomit due to fear.

He also agreed with Mr. Harada's words. Hopefully that person's intuition turned out to be wrong.
