Gavin had been waiting on this. He was only allowed 1 teacher from another world. "I choose Scott Ryder from Mass Effect Andromeda." God paused at this."Why not Shepard? Why not Master Chief, Captian Picard?"
Gavin smiled. " I think this is the first time u surprised you." He paused before continuing."Ryder was security forces before he joined the initiative. His training for the exploration of the Andromeda Galaxy ranged from biology to chemistry. He was trained in combat as well as trained how to maintain his ship. My first 2 teachers taught me how to be a Jedi. My third, I hope, can teach me how to be a survivor. As well as how to be a leader others will follow even when the night is at its darkest."
God nodded. "I understand, an interesting choice and one I approve of."
In a flash, Scott Ryder appeared. "Hey kid, so the guy who summoned me explained what you want. Are you sure about this? I will train you as I have been trained. Including a test I underwent in Andromeda is their equivalent of N7 training. It won't be easy. Also I am going to have SAM teach some subjects on the more technical side he is better at that."
Gavin agreed, stating that this was why he chose Ryder as his 3rd teacher. The next 3 years could at best be described as a boot camp. Ryder woke Gavin up at 4 AM and led him on a workout that lasted till 8 AM. They would pause for breakfast. Ryder would then set up targets at varying ranges and teach Gavin to shoot with Pistols, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, and SMGs. This practice would go on till about Noon when they would eat lunch.
After lunch, Scott would educate Gavin on biology, engineering, tactics, diplomacy, and a variety of other subjects. This would continue till about 5 PM when Ryder would instruct Gavin in hand to hand combat till 8 PM, after which they would eat dinner and go to bed. The pattern never changed, and they never took a day off.
Scott had a way of making the most boring subjects interesting and the most complicated subjects simple. He was an amazing teacher, and Gavin was attentive as a student.
Scott spoke of uniting the Initiative when he first arrived. Of overcoming his father's death. Fostering peace and overthrowing the Kett. "There were time I wanted to give up others helped me stand tall." He said, "The Angara, Turians, Humans, Asari, Krogans, Salarians, and the Quarians. As we helped them they helped us till we all stood together."
As their lessons drew to a close, Ryder decided to give a piece of advice to his student. "Be careful, Gavin," Ryder said, " I sense in you a kindred spirit. One who does not care about race or species. A man who would rather be exploring and making contact with new species than waging war or playing politics. You are a leader, a pathfinder, but that is not always about exploring. You must also show others the path to peace. Do what you feel is right but beware this can lead you to standing against the tide. Be the example, the beacon, the light. Before you know it others will gravitate to you."
When Scott returned to his world God appeared. "Time for you to return. But first what is your choice of spacecraft?"
Gavin thought for a moment before replying "The tempest from Mass Effect Andromeda."
"Good choice but I must point out it is not armed." God said, knowing how dangerous rhw star wars universe was.
"I know" Replied Gavin. " With the knowledge I have learned I can fit it with defensive weapons. Besides I just spent 3 years learning about the Initiative technology and how to use it, repair it, and modify it. I do have 3 requests though."
"As long as it's not too overpowered I'll listen" God nodded.
"I would like the ship to be outfitted like it was in the fame including all the weapons and armor designs as well as the nomad." Gavin stated his first request.
God nodded, it was within his expectations and was how he was going to give it in the first place.
"I would like sane to be fully operational. Including being able to activate profiles if the host achieves the requirments."
God thought about it before nodding again. AIs were already a thing in stat wars so it shouldn't matter too much.
"Lastly I want to be able to call down a prehfab colony 1 time to establish my first base."
God looked at Gavin funny "Just the buildings?"
Gavin nodded before explaining."Star wars is advanced but I need specialized facilities to take care of and modify the Tempest. This means having a base of my own to fall back to when in need of maintenance and resupply. The colonies in Andromeda where designed to be self sufficient and should include this kind of tech."
God sighed " Just once, Any further bases you are going to have to manufacture yourself."
Gavin nodded "Thank you Sir."
God waved him off " It's fine you didn't ask for much or get angry when you died so consider this a bonus. Goodbye I doubt you and I will talk like this again."
Gavin vanished from the world between worlds and reappeared in his room on the temple as if nothing had happened. He was even the same age as when he left.
