Raj was your average 23-year-old guy who has just graduated this month from an average university in a subject he had no interest in, just like every other guy. He had no big ambitions in his life to become a millionaire or become famous or something like that.
His real interests lay in reading web novels and fanfictions written by authors around the world. Raj has read thousands of such works but he was still never bored. He has always found it fascinating to be able to see different worlds from the eyes of other people's imagination and to be able to see the same story from other people's perspectives.
His biggest wish ever since he started reading online fiction was to be reborn in a fictional world where there's magic or qi or maybe even just some basic sword fighting. He did not want to be born as the main character, because then you would have the focus of the whole world and everyone would expect things from you, but as a side character because then he could amass power in secret and still pull the strings of the main happenings around the world without being center of attention.
"HA HA HA..."
One day as he was walking on the sidewalk while reading a Harry Potter fanfiction on his mobile, he heard a loud screeching sound from behind him and before he could understand what was happening or even look behind him he was hit with a huge amount of force and everything became blank.
After an unknown amount of time, where he was not able to make sense of anything, not even able to make any coherent thoughts, something changed.
It slowly started coming back to him and it felt like his brain was being developed in real-time slowly and as it was being made things started making sense to him again.
Slowly his other senses started returning to him, not one at a time but a little bit of every sense at the same time. He was still not able to open his eyes but at least he was able to ascertain that he had eyes, ears, and all the human body parts.
After an unknown amount of time (obviously nine months) he felt himself being pushed through something like a rubber tube, it was really suffocating and not a very nice experience.
Just as he came out he was suddenly very overwhelmed with everything, it was like one minute you don't feel anything and the next second you can smell, hear, feel and see at the same time. He was not able to stop himself from crying out loud.
"aaa....aaaa...."
Someone, nurse probably, said joyfully while wrapping a towel around me:
"It's a healthy boy Mrs. Florean"
